The building was an unusual layout with the ground floor being at the basement level. You have to haul your luggage up a flight of stairs to check out. There was no coffee maker in the room and I received a disapproving look from a staff member when I filled my carafe with coffee for the long trek back to my room having to go down a flight of stairs. There was green grass for the dogs, but no poop bags. The breakfast was mediocre. Instead of yogurts and fresh fruits, the staff had syrupy and sweet fruit cups for breakfast. There weren't even hard boiled eggs. The room was clean. The toilet was so low! My young grandchildren could have used it for potty training. Thank goodness I had a total knee replacement last year, otherwise there was no way I could get up from the toilet! There weren't even any grab bars to assist one. The bed was very comfortable.

The staff were lovely. The hotel is run down. They try to keep clean but old is still old. Beds were fresh pillows too but the 1st floor rooms windows (in our room anyway) wouldn’t securely lock and when I opened the window the screen just fell out into the sidewalk outside. I mentioned to staff. It was very disconcerting.

This hotel was suprisingly pretty clean. I had a room with wood floors. The entire building is pretty antiquated and smells as such. But the room was updated and fairly clean other than finding one dead bug in the morning.
The staff was super sweet and helpful.

We booked a room that listed 3 adults with a king bed. There was no pull out couch or roll away bed. I guess they expect 3 adults to sleep in one king bed. Tried to cancel but had no luck. No other rooms available. The receptionist Chris did go out of his way to get us more blankets and pillows so one of us could sleep on floor. He was awesome, and worked non stop! Tried cancel booking via Travelocity but no help there. Called customer service who could not help, asked for call back from supervisor and was informed one would call. All I got was email saying they couldn’t reach me at number provided. The number provided was same as my profile on Travelocity.

Overall I had a great experience. I would have liked to check in earlier but I understand why I was unable too. I think the plumbing fixtures could have used some maintenance or have been updated, as I had some trouble with mine. The staff was phenomenal! They were super nice and very helpful. We booked this hotel for proximity to Six Flags, it's literally about a 2min drive, this hotel is nothing fancy & a bit outdated, but it was very clean, the workers were all very polite & helpful, the pool was to very clean as well & not cloudy at all. Chris at the front desk helped us add another room to our reservation for space & was so kind & helpful! Will definitely stay again!

Check in was easy enough. Bed was comfortable and sheets seemed clean. The hotel/motel seems old and run down. The tub did not look clean and neither of us wanted to take a shower. We had about 1/4 roll of toilet paper upon chech in. on a scale from 1 (not at all) to 10 (highly) i would rate it a 4 for \"feeling\" safe.

Broken cold water in shower, fridge didnt work ( he said it was in defrost mode, several hours???) Air conditioner filters 1 inch of dust, ( we cleaned them) made the rooms smell. Plug ins didnt work. Picture advert showed waffle maker( no waffle maker) corn flakes and raisen bran, no fruit, no yogurt, a hard bagel and a horrible muffin. When we asked manager/owner to fix because we were unhappy he made excuses. And when we complained he said if we didnt like it we could leave. So we did, because if we as customers dont get treated well thats pooor customer service.!!!

I was woken up at 4:00 am because the smoke alarm battery died, the damn thing would not stop chirping. I could not call the front desk because my son and grand daughter were asleep. The front desk lady said well you should have called us. That was it.

The keys would work once then stop.
Positives: water pressure is great and warm! Air conditioning works well. The pool is really clean and they will open it early if you ask.

We have been going to Six Flags St Louis for 3 years now. We always stay at this hotel because it’s next to the park but every time we come here, it’s a fantastic experience. Chris at the front desk has been here for years and honestly deserves to be the GM of this place. He is friendly, knows his stuff and works his tail off when any guest needs anything. He should definitely get a hefty raise at minimum.

Expedia had this hotel rated 8/10, as a family place being right down from 6 flags . It was lies! The only other occupants were trucks full of worker guys, who immediately hit on my 11 year old granddaughter and was only 2 rooms from us.The door lock was broken, tv volume didn't work and then when changed out the remote ,the channels didn't work, and we just felt unsafe! I have been getting trip insurance,I felt leaving was our only option! My granddaughter was scared. I was utterly pissed off. I always buy the trip insurance offered and thought that would reimburse me for what I spent. I JUST RECEIVED COMFIRMATION I WILL BE REIMBURSED $9.00! LESS THEN THE ORIGINAL TRIP INSURANCE! I was also denied a receipt when we left.

The Hotel is really old so you have to take that into consideration. The one major thing I did not like is it had a weird smell I. The hallways like they need to probably tear up the carpet and just have wood flooring. The carpet seems old and smelly. I didn’t like there was no chain to secure our door on the inside and the outside back doors had no security key thing so anyone could walk in the building. The pool was ok but it needed to be vacuumed. The room was clean and beds clean. AC kept room cold. It seems really short staffed too which I felt bad for then. All in all not bad and if they did some updates it would be perfect.

For a Super 8 and the great price we were pleasantly surprised- thanks to the reviews left we decided it looked like a decent place to stay! If the bathroom floor had been cleaned better I’d be leaving 5/5 stars! The location is GREAT for six flags, food, and shopping! The staff was amazing!! The coffee could have been better and the pool is kinda small but it was clean and they even have a few slot machines and vending machines so that was cool! The beds were very clean and the decor and art was a nice touch! Our room even had a bathtub that was spotless! Overall very pleased!!!

I noted on our reservation we should be using mobility scooters and would need a first floor room or access to an elevator. But they claimed they didn't get that note. There is no way to access the lobby with our taking a step up or using stairs. The access to the first floor is very narrow. It is too narrow to town the scooter into and once you do get it into the halfway the halfway is to narrow to turn it into the rooms. Luckily my brother was with us and he was able to lift and maneuver the scooters into and out of the rooms otherwise we would not have been able to stay at all. The bathroom door in one of our three rooms had a busted door handle, in another room the mini fridge did not work at all. But the real kicker was after we spent our first night we left for the day, and returned to find one of our room doors slightly open. I am positive it was closed good when we left and our room had been freshened up so i assume it wasn't shut well when housekeeping was done which is very worrisome. I did try to nicely let an employee know if the difficulties with the scooters access so they would be aware for future guest if they didn't know. His response was oh i know but it meets regulations on paper before walking away. So if you have mobility concerns my advise is please stay away from here. We will DEFINITELY NOT even consider them again.

Check in was ridiculous. Apparently a school’s reservations got cancelled for 15 rooms. Instead of one of the workers taking them aside to work on a solution, we, as well as other guests, waited over 30 minutes to check in at 10:00pm. The two workers started arguing on what to do and one was told to leave by the other. This whole episode was extremely unprofessional. No apology was given for the long wait. This experience is not what a traveler wants after a long drive.
