The room advertised (King suite) was NOT a King suite. The walls were covered in dirt, the couch was filthy, the kitchen and bathroom lights did not work. The room was so disgusting that we checked out immediately. Per their policy, we were expecting to only pay for one night but they charged us for both. We have attempted to contact the property manage but she will not return emails or phone calls. It became obvious that this hotel is being used as a flop house for people looking for extended stays. Do NOT book a room here. Your room will be nasty and they will do nothing to fix the problem.

I wish the description was a little more clear or there was a room layout in the listing. Wasn’t a problem at all but not quite what we were expecting.

I liked the room. The couch/bed is very uncomfortable for watching TV. I had to use one of the pillows to create a comfortable spot. The cleaning product used to clean the tile floors created a very sticky feel for my feet. But I do like that the TV is in front of the couch. They did not provide an extra blanket in the room. Liked that they provided towels at the pool. They had pancakes at breakfast but I am a waffle fan. My husband liked that they had turkey bacon at breakfast as an alternative to hoof meats. We will go back but can tweak the negatives for a better stay. My key cards kept failing and was additional inconvenience to replace them but not a terrible thing. The location is very convenient for our needs. Planning another stay soon

Good motel. They charge a $150 deposit and say they refund you 10-14 business days, be prepared for that. Pool area was clean, and they had towels outside for the pool. Quiet area besides trucks on the highway. The room we stayed in could have used new locks, they weren’t as secure. Furniture could use replaced. Bed was super comfortable! Great water pressure. Front staff was nice as well. Would come back.

Room was dirty, carpet had many questionable stains with several being some kind of red juice or blood. The bathtub and sinks had some hairs left in them. The bath/shower water temp was either tepid or scalding hot and dangerous. Bedding had many worrisome black dots on them, probably flea-related. Parking lot had a few questionable guests(?) hanging around, as well as some unmarked vans circling around from time to time. Front desk worker seemed totally unbothered by all of it when told, and we decided to checkout within an hour or two after checking in.

Property is looking run down, does not look like the pictures on website, we were put in the wrong room at first, the room we reserved was filthy and smelled like urine, so they moved us to a third room, in which I had to make some minor repairs to the toilet seat which was very loose, and a towel rack which fell off on one side, soap dispenser fell off on first use. In the kitchenette we could not find the dishes to use, finally located them still in the dishwasher, microwave has rust where the coating has come off. Would have left but could not find another hotel which had space available at the last minute

Waled into a nightmare and no refund. Took pictures and documented everything for Expedia, but we didn't pay the insurance and lost out on refund. Did not stay at property after sering inside. Walked upstairs and fell on way down - looked up and saw the railing was broken away from the wall! Caused my fall. Broken closet door, dangerously dim bathroom light, overall unclean place. Just yuck. Do not stay here. Or at least pay the insurance so you can get a refund because you won't like what you find. You've been forewarned.

The kitchen was not equipped. No silverware and no plates or glasses. The bed was short-sheeted. Room is starting to show wear. The front desk didn’t have toothpaste that I forgot. The breakfast room didn’t serve water. There was only one coffee in the room but I stayed two nights. The phone in the room didn’t ring to the front desk. The front desk staff was pleasant however and made a special effort to get my water for breakfast. But too many problems as stated above, so I will not stay there again.

Yes, the kitchen was equip with cooking utensils, Staff check in was painless, the neighbor down stairs did have a pet, the property is ready for a overhaul update very soon, the website showed a fireplace, not.....it was blocked off and boarded up with white paint to look like it was a wall. overall I say it is time for an updated rooms, and paint for the entire property. I know the time we are experiencing in US this will cause great amount of money, so I can not see this happening soon, maybe. But it is a brand new hotel chain built right next to them as well. So I hope the property manager will receive this and I know she is not the one who will or can make severe up keeping changes. The best part of our 1 Night stay the Loft was super clean and sanitized from the top to the bottom!! Thank You!

The room was dirty- hair all over the bed, flipped the covers all the way back and the bottom on the sheet was in the middle of the bed and it’s obvious it had been slept in multiple days. Front desk was minimal help at best, didn’t offer another room. This, unfortunately, was a non refundable room. Expedia was able to get a refund to my original payment method. However, Sonesta, then charged my card I had given them for incidentals. I will be disputing this charge as well. We were in the room less than 5 minutes. If I could give it -5 stars, I would.

Wow!! Where to being? Every interaction I had with the staff, and I’m ashamed to say there was a lot, was amazing. Every time they were more than accommodating and kind. We first needed to change our reservation, which they easily did. Then there was some issue with our check in, which were 100% my own fault, and again they accommodated us. The only slightly negative thing we experienced was at breakfast. It was all over pancakes and wasn’t even the fault of the staff. Just be advised they do have an automated pancake maker, and the day that we were there was very busy. I absolutely love the idea of fresh pancakes though and my kids did say they enjoyed them. There will be a wait if it’s busy. There also aren’t phone charging outlets in the rooms, so don’t forget your brick. Other than that, this was an absolutely beautiful hotel. It felt like staying in an apartment complex and not a hotel at all. Parking is tight if you drive a big vehicle. If we have to travel to Saint Louis again we will be staying here.

Me and my family stayed here for a family vacation and it was absolutely perfect. The area was quiet and cozy. The pull out bed was perfect for my toddler and 6 year old. Only about 20+ minutes from the zoo. The staff was helpful as we needed them. The breakfast bar was awesome ! First impression was that the room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Lighting in the bathroom could've been brighter, it was very dim in there. Sofa bed had tears in the cushions. The breakfast was terrible, the first tray of food was questionable, the eggs and hash browns were lacking a lot of flavor. Had a weird taste too it, it ended up throwing the food away. I would give it a 7 out of 10 just because of the breakfast.

Property is very run down. Both toilets didn’t stop running. One all night long and one off and on all night long. The stair carpet is beyond gross and looks like it’s never been clean. Paint and caulk touch ups were attempted it appeared, but def looked rushed/cheaply done. Needs some major updates and repairs before we’d stay here again and we’ve stayed at other sonesta’s countless times. Def disappointed for close to $200/night.

I stayed at this property a second time after such a great experience the first time. This last time was absolutely appalling to me! I checked in late very tired and ready to rest, even taking a shower I noticed in the bathroom there was a towel hanging on the door that had already been used no big deal because there still the right amount of clean towels. After showering finally getting in bed after laying for a couple of minutes I keep feeling crumbs on my legs and feet I tried to like dust them off with my feet and keep on to sleep but then I start itching and still feeling crumbs so I get up and cut on the flash light and notice a bunch of black pieces of hair and just crumb particles not sure what they were. My husband has t got in bed yet on his side so I go over and Che k his and notice the exact same thing! I instantly try calling the front desk no answer at this point it’s 3am we’re tired there’s nothing that can be done so I send a message to the hotel and use one of the covers on top of the comforter to put on bed and get some sleep! I wake up to phone ringing at 8am but no sound actually comes out, housekeeping banging on the door even though we have late checkout then when I finally check out the front desk staff lets me know they responded to my message that I sent on Expedia I check it and they of course are sorry for the inconvenience but will not be refunding or offering any compensation for their mess up ! Then on top of all that my husband has flea bites !

We rented three rooms for a family coming to take care of our moms house after she recently passed away. When we arrived, all three rooms were in different buildings, not at all close to each other. While trying to check in multiple different groups of guests came in, complaining about the pool not open, no ice machines, and other complaints.
After checking in we went to the first room - non smoking that smelled awful of smoke (unacceptable based on allergies) and while looking around had bugs crawling on the table. The other 2 rooms smelled the same and were in the same state.
We went to the front desk, who was very helpful, and while he told us they were very busy, and offered to try and move us after a few days but we could not stay in the rooms. We let him know we were leaving for a different hotel and he told us to call and let Expedia know so it could be taken care of and refunded. We checked out within 15 minutes of checking in of all three rooms and did not touch anything in any of the rooms.
Once we got ahold of Expedia, they let us know they could not refund and the hotel would have to approve it - the hotel refused even after the desk told us he understood why we were leaving - so we paid for 3 rooms for 4 nights - and then again at a second hotel all while trying to take care of our moms house right after she passed.
We DO NOT recommend Sonesta suites in St Louis, and after this will not be using Expedia again either with the lack of help.

Staff was as excellent just dealing with a dated asset that seems to be mediocre legacy apartment conversion. So our unit was fine for our purposes as it was large (sleeping 6 with a loft) but it was over sprayed with air freshener and the furniture and carpet needed to be replaced 10 years ago. Site touts fireplace but boarded over. TV in main living area the size of a large computer monitor. Anyhow I likely would not pick this place again but for a no frills or quick layover for a large family or group it works.

There are many dogs at the property and unfortunately most people do not pick up the excrement of their animal which is disturbing. The property is not kept clean enough. The rooms have very old furniture and carpeting that needs a refresh. I had them come and reclean the room and it was better.

Check-in was great! Upon arriving in the room, we did a 'walk around' per usual to find a pair of dirty sweatpants in the closet. The 'maintenance' closet next to the fridge has ALWAYS been locked and was unlocked to our surprise. We were even more surprised to open that door to black mold ALL over the closet walls!! This must have been what they've been 'hiding' behind locked doors in years past!
The bathroom appeared clean but there were pubic hairs all over the bathtub so it must not have been cleaned after all. We had the heat set to 70* and the main level was freezing due to cold air seeping in around the door from outside and the loft was unpleasantly warm no matter what we changed the thermostat too. This was our 5th annual trip and we've always stayed here but it's starting to seem very run down and sad to say this will be our last stay unless things change! Parking seemed to be a huge issue this year as well, it would be nice if each room had a reserved spot and excess cars could park at the front of the lot!

The staff were fantastic and the main building was super welcoming. The pull out sleeper bed/couch was unfortunately visibly dirty - both the couch part and the mattress pad that was already on the bed. The toilet was clogged when we got there late (not visibly but it wouldn’t fill up with water) and the next morning we had to ask 3 times before we got a plunger. It worked for a quick place to sleep for a short trip - if the couch and toilet issues weren’t there it would’ve been a 5-star.

The staff member in the office during the evening was helpful, informative and friendly. I appreciate his customer service. I chose this property because of good reviews, location and had stayed at a Sonesta in another city.
But during my first night I discovered the heating unit did not work and there were no blankets or comforters in the room. I started calling the office at 6am but there was no answer and was told later the phone system wasn't working. when I went to the office I requested another room but was told maintenance would come at 8am to verify the unit was not working but no one came until I went back to the office and discovered they had apparently forgotten. I had to request another room again before being moved so I could pack up and move to a different room and finally shower in a room with heat.This delayed my going to see my family, the reason for my trip. The manager only said so sorry and said she would see about any compensation after I requested it. But I have not heard back from her and don't expect to hear anything from the manager.
