Fridge barely worked, hole in chair, no trash bags. Just felt like I could have had a nicer hotel for the rate for the room. Almost $300 for one night. USB plug in’s did not work on one side of bed and forget using streaming apps in that room as well. We were put on the 8th floor and walked forever as well which I felt wasn’t needed as it wasn’t packed. Just too much if you’re not spending your time at the casino. Only positive was the shuttle for our concert. Next time I’ll stay close and uber though.

Hotel was wonderful, every employee we encountered was polite, always smiled and said hello. Restaurants need to be open later, came back from a concert after midnight and no food options. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again

Hollywood is always a great hotel. Food pricing is pretty good too. They’ve updated the menu items at the restaurants. Ordered chicken tenders at “99” think they were $16 with fries. 5 huge tenders, saved them for later. Daiquiri’s and Dogs was good too. Chips and Cheese, they could do better but the Pink Lemonade Daiquiri was amazing.
Only thing this time was called a couple of times and left the front desk messages for towels and none came also on a 5 day stay, housekeeping only came once.
4.9 stars though. First time this has happened

There are 2 towers. Sunset Tower is old original one, it's not well maintained. Sealings are low, ventilation was not working, paint is chipping off the door frame, shower knob was wiggling and then completely came off in the middle of night, so we could not shower afterwards. Other tower is new and much better. Stay away from Sunset Tower.

Rooms need updated, new carpet, fresher look. Bathroom faucet hot water extremely tight to turn (room Sunset 320) no fitted sheet, which completely bunched up under me, then I was in bare mattress. Yuck.

The staff was very kind, but we kept getting locked off our floor and they continued to do it. And we were supposed to get the rodeo room, which included a couch with hideabed a bathtub separate from ice shower, and we got none of the above the bathroom was still dirty.We paid a hundred and sixty dollars a night and we did not get what we paid for.

The hotel itself was great. We stayed in a suite and it was very spacious and comfortable. Staff was great! Did have an issue at the casino Sportsbook. If you make any bets on Sporting events, be aware you can only cash in your winnings from 1:00PM-9:00PM M-F. Weekend hours might be a little longer. Kiosks don’t pay out and the other cashiers won’t pay you. We had to leave the morning after I had won some bets so I had to go home all the way to Minnesota with a winning ticket. Can possibly mail it in, but is ridiculous there is not a way to cash it in there. They’ll take your bets 24 hours a day (kiosks never close) but you have limited hours to collect if you win.

Staff was great. Shuttle was a life saver and worth the money. The shampoo and body wash in the shower would not dispense. King bed very comfortable. Glad there was a safe to use in the room. AV in room worked well. 7th floor at elevators the wall paper was healing away from wall by the buttons. Need more seating at bar before you get to the casino. The dog restaurant inside the casino could have been better but at 1 am your just glad somethings open. Room was clean.

Check in with Mori was fast and informative about the hotel. We arrived to a room that had its toilet running, and about one minute after we got into the room maintenance knocked on the door to fix it. This was awkward and altered our post arrival plans. I gather the room was pre assigned and not put out of service?! The AC was ineffective since the thermostat was set to run for the minimum amount of time possible, so it turned on and off very quickly and very often. The pillows were awful, but the bed was comfortable with nice linens throughout the room. The F&B staff was in the weeds with very little business and in the jungle when it got busy. Service was beyond slow! Bus service was great to the concert, but the food truck was awful with cold chicken tacos! It wasn't worth the hassle to complain, so we threw them away. If you are hungry after 11 don't plan on finding anything to eat unless you order out. Concert venue was great! Bus ride from the hotel was great and the reason we stayed at the hotel!

A few things I noticed to make me give it 4 stars.

- the coffee maker was gross covered with dust and grime
- I understand being charged a deposit for the room, but being charged for parking and wifi when I’m already paying a lot of money for a room is ridiculous, also I did not see anything when booking the room about needing to pay for parking and WiFi upon checking in
- they require you to bring your own water bottle to refill with water at their water stations, which I do not remember seeing anything about this either until already checked in

Well I’m not a complainer, but we thought the casino was not the cleanest, empty beer cans full ashtrays and not sure when the last time a machine was wiped off.
We went to the sports bar for a quick dinner and a couple of drinks the waitress was ok but they can’t answer a question. Never got the drink that I ordered, finally told them to forget it. Anyway make sure you have your hand sanitizer if you plan on spending time in the casino!

Room was beautiful. But the wifi wasn’t working. The phone in the room didn’t work, so anytime we needed something, we had to go to the front desk, the jets in the jacuzzi tub in the bathroom didn’t work properly, and the shower was scalding hot. The knob was broken so you couldn’t turn it down. There were no other director suites available, so we had to deal with it.

Everything great, except check in process. That process was extremely slow. What caused the delay were the folks coming in and trying to reserve rooms that didn't have reservations. That tied up the staff members to a halt.
Have one line for reservation check in, ams one for fold that are looking to make one

I enjoyed the Hollywood Casino overall. However, this is the first time I've stayed at a place that didn't have a single option for a hot breakfast at any of the restaurants. The lone exception was 99 Hops, but they only served from 8-11 am on Saturday and Sunday. That's not much help for Sunday night through Wednesday stay. I ended up having to drive to a local Denny's 10 minutes away for breakfast. I'll likely stay at Ameristar next time, since I know they do have breakfast options available.

Nothing free for breakfast but the coffee place downstairs was great. Great rooms, clean and big enough. Earned points at casino with my card and got free dinner and free play. Our flight was canceled cause of storms so i asked the front desk for a compted room. They actually gave us a free king suite for the night. We stayed 3 nights and had fun at the casino. We will return.

We booked a room with a king bed but when we arrived at the hotel the desk clerk told me our room had two queen beds. When I asked if they had given our room away to someone else, I was told if they ran out of the rooms we paid for on Hotels.com we would just have to accept what was left. We also tried to contact the hotel from the airport but were unable to get anyone except a phone tree that simply told us to go to the website. If we can't count on getting the room we booked (and paid for), I guess we will just use another service.

The hotel room was not updated. Some furiture was in need of repair. The bed was the worse bed I have had while staying at a hotel. The restaurants were very good though. The coffee cafe place needs help with their quality of food and service, but its not bad. The casino area was great. I was really disappointed that the room did not have a microwave, but it did have a fridge and coffee maker. Don’t plan on saving food for the next day, you have no way of heating it up. We were also told that the maid service comes by on the third day, they did not. We never saw them.

No, the airport shuttle was not available for the time we were there. They said it was because of the ACHA Hockey Championships bein held in the Centenne Arena, they were concentrating on that service.
There are two shuttle busses sitting in front of the hotel. Yes, I used the shuttle to the rink, but it was not always available.

We were promised a room cleaning twice while we were there from March 14 to 20. We had to ask for new towels and where to empty the garbage. The last day, the 19, a maid came to our room to see if we wanted it cleaned, I declined. The hallways had litter in the floors for 2 or 3 days in a row.

I stay in a lot of hotels, for the price, the service was less than adequate. If they are short on staff and we have to do their job, I should think the price should reflect this.

Hotel itself was fine. Floors in our room were a little gritty to the point where I noticed dirt accumulating in the corners and I needed to clean my feet off before putting my socks on. My biggest complaint was after paying $250 for one night, we were billed another $14 for “amenities” at check out. What amenities??? We were here a grand total of 15 hours and there wasn’t even a complimentary bottle of water in our room??!

We did not realize there was an airport shuttle, I emailed the hotel to ask however i recieved no response back. The front desk was great and let us early checkin at 2:15 pm however when we got to our room it was not cleaned properly, hair in the bathroom sink and floor, and floor had dust bunnies...
