Best mattress but worst process to get to the bed

The positives: It was close to our the points of interest. The bed was incredibly comfortable and slept like a baby.

The cons: The property overall was dirty, garbage everywhere outside.
Landscaping was in disarray, not existent or unkept.
Parking was a little bit of a problem near the suite we were staying in.

But the absolute worst part was that the check in process and \"front desk\" responsibilities have been farmed out to a remote attendant that you had to communicate through a remote accesses kiosk in the foyer of the main building entrance. The check-in process was incredibly drawn out as you had to scan in your ID, the connection was poor so audio kept cutting in and out and the person was overall hard to understand. A far cry from the quick check-ins I am accustomed to when checking into a hotel with a front desk clerk on-site. Also, the foyer is so small that it was uncomfortable when another person came in to use the single kiosk as we were right on top of each other. I had to finish the process while a drunk guest from another suite was impatiently breathing down my neck so he could contact them about the wifi password not working.

I realize we were staying at an extended stay facility but I hope that more hotels don't switch over to this type of kiosk because it really removes the \"hospitality\" part of staying at a hotel.

I checked in and checked right back out- i was reluctant to even check in because of how the property looked when i pulled up. These are run down apartments surrounded by very sketchy looking individuals. As soon as we walked in our room we were hit with the smell of cigarette smoke (a non smoking room) I’m 4 months pregnant and didn’t want to be sick or risk my babies life so we left immediately. There is no front desk so we had to talk to a lady through a zoom video meeting. She was extremely short and unfriendly. Don’t waste your time or money staying here. Very scary. Dont trust the 7 stars- they’ve obviously paid for good reviews.

At this property if you check in after hours you have to go through a operator on a virtual kiosk, my room needed to be redone like the carpet was long over do for new carpet there was a questionable stain on the carpet that might have been blood, the area this hotel was in was cool, fyi if your looking for a cheap hotel for a night pass this one up and go with extended stay or best western

Upon checking in (by machine) the experience was horrible. I did my purchase online and as I pick the hotel of choice did not match the hotel I arrived at. The place was run down, the room carpet and furniture was dirty. I picked the place because breakfast was included which made it easier for me because I had to work in the morning. The visual person told me no breakfast and charged me extra fees for different charges to my card. Why would I pay for a curtesy fee for a hold on my cc there was NO one courteous at this location

In the morning called the front desk to ask if i could stay longer and pay after work, she. Said i could so whike waiting for the snow to stop so i could go work around 1pm. The other worker is knocking on my door saying she didn't ok this and i had to either pay this aecond or be gone immediately. I called her 4 times being nice ans saying sorry if i miss understood her earlier, she kept hamging up on me i asked if i had 10 minutes to shower she said no. The point here people is they let many of there guest go a week with out payment and she had a 52 dollar deposit so even if i wouldn't have paid they would have gotten 80 percent of the money for my second night. I feel that i have been discriminated against due to the fair housing act. The fair housing act does apply to hotels and it basically says that what you do for one person you must do for others. No way was i given the same treatment i have witnessed other peoplw receive from her and thia property on paymenta or money orweather thwy can stay in the room. Truthfully i am seriously thinking about pursuing charges on her and the property. Being that she is the manager she should know the rules on housing. Maybe even more will happen to her byt i feel completely offended by her and her actions towards me. Fyi the room was great minus the hot water.

I went through a third-party Orbitz to book the room and when I got there to check in, they decided to ask for $100 deposit which I didn’t have $100 to hold for them so therefore they would let me check in and they went on a ticket with my money for the booking as well I went to return it I give it back so I was left stranded to sleep in my car and they did not care because they said it’s policy but their policy was not located or no or acknowledged or printed anywhere in the third-party for customers to see if I would have known that maybe I would’ve had the money and I would’ve been stranded, but that was information that was unknown. Do not recommend this place , they leave out information

We stayed there four years ago and it was very nice. They no longer have breakfast although it was listed. No kitchen supplies although it was listed. The room they gave us was dirty, we left I would not stay there the whole area was dirty and need a lot of maintenance.

Worst \"hotel\" I've every stayed at

This property was absolutely awful. (I had stayed there previously when it was a Residence Inn.) I arrived after 8:00, and it was already dark. I couldn't believe it when I discovered the lobby isn't even open ALL WEEKEND! I had to check in at a kiosk in the vestibule, with a clerk who wasn't even on property, and was probably in a different country. After checking in and receiving my key from the kiosk machine, I then drove around to my room. There was trash all over the property, and many of the units looked like they are now apartments. There were Halloween decorations on many of the doors and railings, and bicycles, skateboards, desks, tables and other items laying outside of many units. The back of the property, where my room was, was very poorly lit.

When I got to my room, I noticed that there were several pieces of particle board leaning up against the wall next to my door. There was also a file cabinet/nightstand with coins on top of it sitting outside the door, as well as trash. Also, the stairs leaning up to the room were quite uneven and one was broken.

Photos from the room are attached. The room smelled terrible, and both the tile floor and carpet were sticky. Unlike the photo from the property, there were zero utensils, cups, or plates in the kitchen. The couch was dirty and had no throw pillows. There was no way I would sit on it, and the only other chair was the desk chair, which was dirty. Overall, the room was stinky, filthy, and unacceptable.

The place use to be very nice, but now they have long term people almost like an apartment complex. There are trailers with scrap metal on them. They put me right next to the basketball court after i had asked to move the first night. They said they would take care of it but it went on till 2 in the morning if not later each night. They no longer do breakfast, there is no front office person it is all done by a computer. The room had no utensils or anything. Had 2 wine glasses. The ice maker didnt work and a very poor job cleaning as there was trash behind the night stand. The only nice thing is the bed was supper comfortable. Other than that i wont be going back.

I booked a room online and no where online does it say anything about deposit. They then proceed to say that it must be a physical card and won’t accept one from Apple wallet. So I have already paid for a room that can’t be used. They tell me they are cancelling it on their end but I can’t receive a refund because they have a policy that’s not posted. Said it’s everywhere but I was able to book a hotel down the street without a deposit.

First is an security defense to match Ft. knox...no person, just a machine kiosk in a small locked room.

Finally got to my room. These are not \"hotels\" as we think of them..they are abandoned \"dwelling\" units from the '60s projects...updated no doubt, but still old. The kitchen and bathroom area were dirty...and worse yet:
THE WHOLE HOUSE STANK OF CIGARETTE SMOKE!

I didn't even stay there, just turned around, returned my key card, and found another legit hotel.

The check in process is inconvenient! I understand for safety purposes they would need a third party during certain hours, because I did check it towards midnight, but that process was very inconvenient and very tedious. The room also smells like smoke, and you can tell that it was poorly cleaned. if you need something just for one night and you don’t really have a preference on which our room looks like this is the perfect place. This place used to be a hawthorns, which was a horrible hotel to begin with, and was taken over by the new place. I think this hotel is also a permanent place for multiple families to live in due to the stuff on the porches and the entrance to some of the hotel rooms. I slept on the top of the covers because I was worried about bedbugs and the carpet was moist to the touch.

Would not recommend for anyone to stay here. The hotel room smelled awful, kitchen is outdated, bathroom is outdated, mirrors have rust on them, and overall the smell of the room smelled like mildew. This hotel is also basically for people who are looking for long term stays like it’s an apartment complex without paying utilities type of thing.

We never stayed at this hotel. We made reservations on July 1, 2023. The power had gone out due to a horrible storm. I would have weathered it out, however I need oxygen, my nebulizer, and cpap. In addition, my grandsons were with me. They too have asthma. The wifi went out while reserving the room. It stated \"SORRY transaction failed\". I tried again same response. I drove up to the Dennys and got Hotels.com. I was beginning to panic. Everywhere was stating SOLD OUT. We were Blessed of God. The site had a hotel available I booked it. About 1.5 hrs. later I received an email verifying a stay at Craigshire. I called Hotels.com they told me to call the hotel. I did at 11:04 pm. I was told alright everything is fine. That same night I looked at my bank account online. They deducted $171from my account. I called the again. The lady told me there was nothing she could do. Call back on Monday. I did. A woman named Kathryn talked to me as if SO WHAT. She said our site stated NONREFUNDABLE. I explained what happened. It didn't mean a thing. She told me to take it up with the third-party. I did. I was told so long as the hotel was willing it was fine. They were NOT. I called her back. Kathryn had an even more attitude. She told me if i had of booked it with the hotel instead of Hotels.com she would have given it back. She was NOT willing to due to our strict rules. I told her again what happened. It didn't matter. There was more said, but I don't have space. TOTALLY TAKEN VANTAGE OF.

This place needs ALOT of work. It's unkempt and aging badly. It's like an apartment complex, with long term tenants that obviously live here, then some nightly guests. It's super weird and not very comfortable or safe feeling. Sidewalks are crumbling, everything is peeling and our room was through this little corridor and around a corner, through discarded boxes and garbage laying around. The nicest thing about the room is there are no bedbugs, rodent droppings or roach infestation, and we checked everything thoroughly. The a/c works well, but the room reeks of cigarettes. Couple of burn marks, a couple carpet stains though the bed appears clean and the bedding does not reek. There is a full kitchen which, while it really needs updating, appears to be clean. Same with bathroom. This room is bordering on outright seedy. Not sure why we even stayed instead of leaving as it's pretty sketch, but we couldn't get any of our money refunded. I strongly DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Hope our vehicle is as we left it when we leave as early as possible in the morning.

The room was dirty, in poor condition, and smelled terrible. Visible debris on the floor showed that it wasn't even vacuumed prior to my stay. The kitchen was not well supplied with cookware, plates, and utensils, or even a coffee maker as advertised. There was also no iron, which I needed. The front desk offered no apology and simply said \"we don't have an extra iron.\" I didn't want an extra iron, I wanted what was advertised and I had paid for. Instead I had to go buy an iron and other supplies. After the trip, even clothes that had stayed in the suitcase smelled like this disgusting room. Would not stay here again.

Arrived after the front desk closed. Had to use the kiosk. The lady was nice but she was having tech issues so I had to wait for a front desk person to come from their house to get me a room card. Left after a little over an hour. Room smelled horrible, dirty dishes in dishwasher, no pots or pans, no coffee pot, no silverware except one fork in the bottom of dishwasher. I went back to the kiosk and informed the young lady I couldnt stya there and I was checking out. No offer of a refund at all except my deposit. Terrible place to stay! This app won't let me upload photos, but I have some.

The majority of the hotel was used for long term housing. My room was dirty and it smelled like cigarette smoke. The furniture was torn and stained. The kitchen didnt have a coffee maker, utencils, pans. . . I couldnt even make a cup of tea. I couldnt go to the front desk to ask for any thing because it was closed and it was just a kiosk. I was never able to connect to the wifi and they couldnt help wit that. Overall it was a terrible experience.

Expedia, you should stop offering this hell-hole of a property. We stayed all of one hour and then left for a nearby Hampton Inn where we felt safe and didn't fear contracting illness. The only reason this property has a decent (and deceiving) overall score here is that it continues to factor in old scores from years ago when the place was not a house of horrors.

This formerly beautiful hotel is now a dump. First example: there used to be a delicious, full breakfast offered, there no longer is. However, a \"full kitchen\" is pictured here, complete with a stove, sink, dishwasher, and full-sized refrigerator. There were NO cooking pots, pans, utensils. There were no clean dishes at all in our suite. There was a set of stoneware in the dishwasher - all dirty; the dishwasher had not been run. There were exactly two forks (dirty in the dishwasher) on site. No other silverware. So now that there's no more breakfast, there is also no way to prepare or serve food in the suite/room. There were no glasses or even plastic cups provided for brushing our teeth. When my husband went to the front desk (that didn't open until 10am!) to ask about drinking glasses the person at the desk produced one dirty stemmed glass and said, \"I could wash this one...\" He declined the offer. The inside of the suite was dirty. There were cobwebs in every corner. It reeked of cigarette smoke in a \"non-smoking\" room. After two nights in that bed, my bedclothes reeked of smoke. My eyes were burning and my throat was sore.

Outside of the suite, the steps leading up to the door were compromised. It felt like the main stringer in the staircase was rotting and weak. It also appeared that there were long-term residents at the hotel, it made us wonder if this were some kind of temporary or even long-term housing.
We have been staying in this hotel for years. Never again.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE

Our stay here was terrible from the beginning. The office closes at 7pm, we arrived at 8pm and they have a kiosk to check in. i don't know where the agent is located but the clock on the wall behind here said 4:00 and it was 8:00 Missouri time. The hallway where the kiosk is located has a terrible echo so it was difficult to understand her. It took almost a half hour to check in this way. When we found the unit, it was full of dead leaves and 3 bicycles by the door with 2 kids playing on the upstairs entry. We paid for 3 people but there were only 2 towels and no sheet, pillow or blanket for the hide-a-bed. Paint was coming off the kitchen wall, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, and other than a microwave and toaster, nothinig else was there-no ironing board or coffee maker, had to use a knife to open the cabinets as they were stuck closed. a guy was working on a broken down old truck next to our room. Then to top it off, the toilet ran all night and the stopper in the tub was broken and laying on the corner of the tub. Front of sink cabinet was missing and there were only 2 plates in the cabinet. I would ask for my money back but doubt I would get it. The kiosk person is 8 hours away!

We came here because our air conditioner broke and they allowed dogs. I’m only giving this a 1 because I couldn’t give it less. We checked in about 430 pm and checked out by 9 pm. There is a reason they only show 1 picture of their rooms online. To use the word disgusting would be a compliment to the conditions of these rooms. There were countless stains all over both levels of the floors, and by the looks of it, I think someone bled out upstairs and the stain was never cleaned up. There were stains all over the drapes on the bedroom door. The couch had so many stains I lost count. There were gnats flying around everywhere. My daughter went to get a drink of water out of the kitchen sink and the room instantly smelled like old fish. Even the water tasted fishy. I am bummed that I failed to take pictures of such horrible conditions, but we just wanted to leave. We chose to sleep in a warm house with no a/c then to endure those conditions. I wouldn’t even offer this place to a homeless person, that’s how bad it is. #dobetter

Good pionts were size, cleanliness, and electric stove with oven. Sad points were no pots or pans and had to go back to get them in bad icy conditions after asking at sign in. And there was no elevator had to haul luggage up stairs. If you are looking for an elevator there is none.

This appears to be a residential property - when we arrived, people were working on their cars in the parking lot. The condition of the room was very beaten up - marred walls, microwave not working, dirty water heater closet, smoke smell due to folks smoking on the patio.

Not sure why Wyndham would list on Hotels.com. The picture of the property is very misleading. We left and did not spend the night.

During my stay, my room was nice & clean with fresh towels & bedding however I noticed some wear & tear on some of the kitchen functions. Other than that, great stay overall. Would come back again in the future.

No access to wood for the fireplace. Hair in the shower (probably why the shower doesn't drain) the bed sheets looked like they remade the bed from previous tenant with out changing

My stay was awful not like what is shown on line It felt like it was a apartment complex. Dog barked on and off all night next place over rooms carpet was stained. Just didn’t feel clean to me would not stay again or send anyone there.

Good for family. A little run down but comfy bed

Bed was very comfortable. Couch was not comfortable. Parking lot and landscaping was full of trash. I never felt unsafe and barely saw any other guests but it appeared people lived in complex. My son had to change rooms because his carpet was owning wet and room smelled moldy. We also had to change rooms because heat didn’t work. Overall we got what we paid for. Good for one night. Didn’t use kitchen since it was short stay.

Hotel turns to automation to reduce customer servi

No in person desk clerk so a LOUD kiosk to check in with no volume control. Requested a 1st floor unit with a fireplace and king bed. Was placed in a second floor unit in the middle of the residential units with no fireplace. Had to fix a running toilet myself. The room smelled and wall paint had poorly painted patch squares. The pillow were all extra firm.
Left at midnight and moved to the Double Tree

I requested a non-smoking room. Clearly someone had been smoking in the room long term. It smelled awful and my whole family had horrible allergy issues the entire stay. I had to go to the store to buy febreeze to make it even bearable. Also the room had a kitchen but not much to use in the kitchen. There were four of us and two spoons, one fork, a couple glasses etc. I would not stay here again.

Needs minor cosmetic work, good deal for price.

When I went to the front desk check in they pointed me back towards the small entryway where there is a kiosk... the man on the other end could barely hear me and I was not very comfortable my wallet out right next to the door. The round was very large and needed some updating but was clean... worth the price for sure. If I come back to the area for agency travel work I would seriously consider one of these suites.

Dirty, dirty, dirty! Trash everywhere around the property. When I walked in the door of the room horrible pot smell. In the room couch was ripped, stains on bed cover, dirt behind the bathroom door, mold on bathroom picture frame, fan in bathroom tons of dust and light over bathroom sink filthy. The staff that checked me in was questionable and not helpful. I knew it was stop looking and just go to bed and leave in the morning.

The property is convenient to where I need to be. But the room smelled musty and the trim in the bathroom was eaten up by insects. To not have resolved that last issue shows me that upkeep is a very low priority and makes me wonder what else they are not doing.

Much more run down then it appears in photos. Had to ask 4 times in 2 days to get wifi service.. A/C was not working, but they did fix it. The room was dark and when looking I found a couple of lamps didn't have bulbs. They did provide them when I requested bulbs. The staff is good but the facilities are run down and not maintained well. Also appears that some residents lived there semi-perminately and had some broke down vehicles in the lot.

Not the greatest...

Was traveling cross country and needed a quick place to stay. These are apartments turned hotel rooms and the area where they are is kinda creepy. None of the lights near our room would come on so we had to pull our luggage in the dark (up the stairs!). The bed was not super comfy and to make it worse our friend had to sleep on the \"sofa\" bed and it was not comfortable at all. No breakfast or anything special included. I guess it was okay for a quick stop, but I'm not going out of my way to not book this hotel again.

The hotel is outdated and not very clean. Also my car got broken into in the parking lot overnight. I was told this is a regular occurrence in that area. No one at the hotel offered any assistance with the break in when my window was busted out of my car.

Pictures on booking sites are totally misleading --- Property run down and beat up because of people staying there (partyers and low lifes) --- Was concerned my car might be broken into --- Room smelled like a mix of heavy BO & cigarette smoke, couch stank bad and was all stained up (used the bed coverlet to throw over it so we could sit on it --- Foot long piece of the door frame bottom in the bathroom had been chewed off and torn up by a dog, I guess --- Bed and bedding felt clean and very comfortable, water pressure and temperature were great, all plumbing fixtures worked well, refrigerator worked great and was clean, but stove wasn't --- liked the kitchen, but would never even cosider staying there again because of overall tenement feel --- going to give the place a poor review on the travel sites.

Cardinals game stay 2021

Didn’t have the room I wanted, but gave me a bigger room. No coffee, but big coffee pot with filters for one cup at a time. Had to hookup the TV myself for it to work. Oh, had to go to office to get the coffee packets myself.

No food service as advertised on web site. Said they haven’t figured out the Covid situation yet.

Beds were comfortable. Chairs an couch, not so much.

The dishes were in the dishwasher dirty. There were holes in the wall. The front desk staff was not very friendly at all. I stayed here a few years ago and it was a pretty nice place, however this trip has been absolutely awful. We also did not have any maid service, had to take out the trash and exchange the towels, which he couldn’t give us more then two of.

This room was disgusting!! The couch was so bad you couldn't sit on the cushions, dishes had food stuck on them n Clearly they dont clean!!! Within the first 5 minutes there was a drug deal in the parking lot and women twerking for my 5 n 13 in the back seat! They do not serve breakfast nor have a pool that works. Land scaping was trash n cigarettes so beautifully decorated. If you want somewhere to comfortably do n buy drugs this is tour place but NOT A FAMILY PLACE!!!!

This property is not what is shown on Expedia. The buildings are in need of repair and there is trash/cigarette butts all over the grounds. People obviously live in this property and appears to be more of an apartment complex then a hotel. Requested a smoke free room, but it had obviously been smoked in. Was difficulty to find the room since is was way in the back with no signage. Went to front desk to ask for another room, but none available, Receptionist gave us a refund and found a much better place to stay. DO NOT RECOMMEND this property!!

This hotel had it's pros and cons. The location was great, close to the airport and other destinations. The size of the rooms was also great. However, the rooms were not very clean. There were dishes in the kitchen but no dish soap. The front desk staff were not helpful, their advice was to find the cleaning person someone in the hotel. The price was good so I guess you get what you pay for. There was no breakfast as advertised, they said because of COVID. They couldn't have had provided some carry out continental breakfast? I can't recommend this place, mostly because it was not clean.

I reserved a suite with 2 king beds- was given double beds. The heads of the beds were lower than the feet. The room smelled, there were stains everywhere, including stains that looked like blood on the sheets. We chose not to stay on the property.
