The restaurant for dinner had a nice menu. The breakfast buffet was decent, but not fantastic. The hotel setting is beautiful, but our room was arranged so that when the door opened from the hallway, the bed was right there. We did not like the arrangement of the room, and it was very, very dark with a tiny window looking out into the back unloading dock.

I stay here regularly because it’s close to family, and highlights for me are the shower (if you’re in a room with a walk-in shower), the fitness room, and the breakfast. The updated rooms have nice bathrooms, with powerful showers, and comfortable beds. The fitness room has a lot of equipment- one of the best I’ve seen in a hotel. And the breakfast spread is extensive, whether you want the buffet or à la carte.

Rooms are very outdated and not clean. Another group we were traveling with had bed bugs in their room and had to be relocated. Rooms are dark, bathroom very small and had mold around the edge of the shower. Overall not clean and not an enjoyable stay.

The main building of this property is beautiful and well cared for, but we were in the Clayton building that was behind the main building. It was very old, in need of renovation, and not what I was expecting. The gym was nice. It was still winter, so the pool was not open.

3 room moves poor housekeeping and a horrible room
Manager said he was refunding 2 of our nights stay however it was all paid through Orbitz. So I don’t even know if that will happen considering they couldn’t get housekeeping to do their job correctly.

Hotel is beautiful and restaurants met our needs perfectly. Clean, attractive, and spacious room. Bathroom was spotless and well-appointed. The round table and chairs were a great convenience. Beds exceptionally comfortable. Good lighting, lots of outlets and charging spots.
I am a happy customer, but do have just a couple of suggestions:
You might want to consider providing more than one luggage rack and add a few more hangers in the closet.
Heating fan in 2215 is still a little loud even on the lowest setting -- you might want to have it checked.
The duvet's warmth was absolutely perfect the first two nights, but on the third night the bed had been made up with fresh linens and for some reason it was so cold under the duvet that night, that after awhile, I got up and piled all my scarves, tees. and jackets over the duvet so I could finally get warm enough to sleep. It's a mystery -- the room temp hadn't changed from the first two nights. (Maybe the duvet had been laundered and was still damp?) Anyway.... my suggestion is that it would have been nice to have had an extra blanket or two available in the closet.
Nevertheless, it was a great stay and I would do it again. The shuttle service is wonderful -- the drivers and every one of your hotel staff were unfailingly welcoming and efficient. Thanks!

Hotel rated as 4 stars, feels like a 2 star. The rooms in the main building may be better, I have no idea, but we were housed in a different building, no better than any cheap motel. Dingy, dirty common areas, air conditioning unit in the room set on cold only, could not be adjusted, super small bathroom with clogged up bathtub and poor water pressure, stained carpets, scratchy towels, ice maker in the building did not work, broken entry door to the building ( just about anyone would’ve been able to get in the building, despite the false sense of security they wanted to offer). Beds were ok, linens appeared clean, but honestly that was one of the few pluses. You can find way better hotels in the area, for better price.

My first room #1150, was not up to par. There may have been water damage behind the walls of the bathroom, which left an undesirable odor in the room. Management changed my room the next morning and gave me one night free off of my bill. Also, their in-house restaurant has the best cheeseburgers and sweet potato fries, I've ever had in my entire life. YUMMY!!!

I really wanted to like this, but I would say that the facility we stayed in was older… Think popcorn ceilings and a tiny bathroom. There was not even a countertop in the bathroom in order to get ready. The shower itself was very dated and worn. The staff were nice. It did offer airport shuttle, which was great, but overall I’m not sure I would stay there again.

I am from STL and my brother had his wedding at the Frontenac Breckenridge, so when I came to visit and stayed at the Frontenac Hilton, I expected it to be a great experience. However, the hotel wasn’t updated at all. We had a windowless room and nothing seemed to have been touched in 30 years. It felt creepy and old, not the classy hotel I remembered. Disappointing because it’s a great location.

We were given a room in the old original building across the parking lot and away from all the amenities. It has no elevator in the building. We are seniors and my husband has a difficult time with stairs let alone getting luggage up two flights of stairs. The staff was unable (or unwilling) to move us to a first floor room or to the main building. The young man at the desk did help us get our bags to and from the room

It’s an old charming complex with multiple buildings but they need to remodel this old room. They have brand new TV’s great bedding but the rooms need a major freshen up. Old carpet and wall paper, feels like it’s the 80’s again

Even though the staff was great, we had to repack and move to another room because of no hot water. There were empty dishes along the hallway for at least 24 hours until a corporate meeting occurred. However, when we tried to order room service, no one in room service or the restaurant answered their phone; good thing there was DoorDash.

Stayed here several times, but this time was the worse. I had no hot water for 2 of the 6 days. When I went to the desk about it, the man said to me that it happens even at the Ritz Carlton! My son's room had no air because he plugged in a cell phone and computer and it tripped the circuit so the air went off. The room phone did not work. Our friends stayed there too and arrived to find sheets with big yellow stains. Last night, my friends and son were all awake from a smoke alarm that went off at 4 am. No one from the front desk came up even after being called twice. On Friday, i went down to the restaurant for a cup of coffee and both big carafes were empty. The girl took one in thw back and never returned. Lastly no ones key on hilton honors app would work to the pool. Just not a good experience for any of us.

Unexpected & Exceptional!

I wanted to call out some of the employees for special recognition, but there were too many! From the clerks making reservation changes, to the bar & grill staff, or the breakfast crew-- they were all just great. The hotel is beautiful in every respect. Swimming pool area is awesome. Parking, access, & location was wonderful! Great restaurants & shopping in the area also. This was our 1st stay, but it won't be the last!

Beautiful property for a quick family get away

I go to St. Louis every couple of months to visit my oldest daughter who is in college. I always travel with my two youngest daughters. So, we need a family suite with a kitchenette. I chose this hotel because it’s halfway between downtown St. Louis the city where my daughter goes to school. The location made this trip super convenient for sightseeing and visiting with my daughter. We had never stayed here before this trip. I really didn’t realize what a gem this hotel was until I checked in. It’s a truly beautiful property. The service was prompt and it always came with a smile. The staff in the restaurant where we had breakfast was friendly, fast and really took care of all of the customers. I had one small issue with my AC in the suite, but they fixed it right away and even offered me a different room. I would definitely stay there again! The only downside was the fact the kitchenette didn’t have a microwave, but the staff at the front desk warmed our snacks for us.

This hotel was wonderfully beautiful nestled in a stunning neighborhood that felt safe for my family. Located just a short drive from downtown St. Louis. Hotel was clean and staff were friendly. Pool was loud due to being directly next to a heavily traveled intersection. Beds were just a touch too firm for us but that’s just personal preference. Once inside your room the world was blocked out. It was so quiet and peaceful. We had a storm roll through when we were there and we had no idea that it had happened. Very sound proof. Parking was free and on site. We will definitely stay here again next time to St. Louis.

I have an issue with this not being handicap friendly. We were out in a building far from a microwave and lobby. Some things in our room like the chair was not clean nor behind the couch was clean. The bar in the refrigerator was broken as well as the kitchen sink was kind of clogging. The young lady at the front desk when I checked in was not so nice. I asked about an upgrade and she told me it cost more. I asked her how much she said those are just more. She would never give me the amount. So I walked away and came back later and talked to someone else. She told me I could get a free upgrade because I am a gold member but they were sold out.

Amazing Smell…Very Clean…With Roaches!

The Hotel is very clean and smells amazing. I was very surprised that I had to killed a Roach in the bathroom on our second night.

The room next to us had the same Food Trays from Room Service outside of their room for over 36 hours. I called the Front Desk and informed them and the Trays weren’t removed until the morning we checked out.

We have stayed there a few times and have enjoyed it. We had a problem with the ac it leaked water they had said they were booked full when we got there. Repair man came said it was a small leak and it was from kids sitting on it . We thought ok we’re are only going to be there for two night and we got there at six pm. It just didn’t cool good. It was in the 90,s . We told the manager he was super nice and only charged us for one night. They do have an outdoor pool and a very good restaurant inside. The staff was super nice.
I think the repair man didn’t do much.

I assumed with the location that this hotel would live up to high standards. The lobby was nice, but the further back you walked, the more disappointing everything became. The rest of the property was dingy, outdated, had a terrible musty odor and was overall unsettling. Our rooms were in a back building that was covered in construction. The overall feeling throughout the entire property felt like the abandoned set of a soap opera. The service at the restaurant bar was appalling and we left after waiting at the bar for quite awhile and being ignored by the staff who clearly saw us. The pool, however, was lovely and large and felt luxurious - definitely the best part of the hotel. We travel to St. Louis several times a year but definitely will not be returning to this establishment.
