I know not the property's fault but there was a shooting in the middle of the night. I have no clue what happened but knew there was lots of gun shots. Luckily the police and ambulance came.

The room came with a lot of things we needed for our stay. It was nice to have plates and silverware available to reheat leftovers. There was a single wash worth of dish washer detergent. There was also dish soap by the sink but no sponge to clean dishes with so we had to run one load of dishes at the end with only 4 dishes in it.
We were also there for 4 days and never saw any evidence of a maid visiting while we were out. We had to use the same towels for all 4 days or call the front desk for more. The floors were also had some spots when we first checked in, like it needed mopped.
There were also issues with the water pipes banging in the walls at 5 am when our neighbor was showering, which woke us up. There was also air in the water line so when we used the sink or flushed the water would sputter a little bit. I was disappointed in my stay here.

Do NOT rent from this location. It is dirty, no staff to clean it, no staff to answer the house phone.... Cops had to be called two out of the three nights we stayed. We would have moved but our purchases were not refundable.....

This hotel was not customer service friendly at all whatsoever. Check in was late even though i had a reservation. I checked in the room and reserved the room for my daughter. They kicked my daughter out for noise complaints at 2AM with not one warning. It was her and her two friends listening to music and dancing late. That's fine. They shouldve been quieter. My issue is speaking with the front desk agent and manager who told me that I would not get my deposit back because of the complaints. The room was not damaged or anything. The front desk agents were not trying to help with this issue at all. The front office manager called me from her cell phone(unprofessional) to argue me down about how my daughter was not 21. Her being 20 years old does not justify keeping my deposit. She says that noise complaints is part of the incidentals and i agreed to it when i signed the contract. I didn't receive a contract paper at check in just the keys. I left one of the keys at the front desk for my daughter, she picked it up with no problems. They didn't ask for ID and I told them that \"my daughter\" would be picking up a key. No one told me about an age policy and i clearly stated my daughter. The only rules that I was informed about were on the expedia website. All of a sudden since they just want to keep my deposit, they have all of these rules. Nothing is wriiten down. Corporate has no idea what is going on. The staff just wants to argue and be right not provide decent

I could not watch tv because there was no remote. I asked for one but they never found me one. I never was compensated for not being able to watch tv for 2 days. The front desk staff was not friendly at all.

No hot water. No water pressure. . People sitting outside on steps leading up to rooms smoking marijuana. Having their faces covered with masks. Needed an ada room and had to walk up 2 flights of stairs. All the side walks were broken and falling apart. Not safe for waking with an assistive device.

We had 5 people in our group with 2 bedrooms and a pullout couch, as I pulled out the couch the mattress was thin and had very dark stains on it,the ceiling fan was so dusty the the dust was hanging over the blades overall the place was just filthy., would not recommend

This was by far the nastiest place I have ever stayed in and we are frequent travelers. There was mold growing on the ceiling of the utility closet, the floor was filthy (glad I had flip flops), sticky stuff on the kitchen and bathroom counters, stains on the carpet. We turned the ceiling fan off and it was completely covered in dust and had dust hanging from it. It’s no wonder I was coughing and sneezing our entire stay. The room smelled like cigs and weed. One guest was sitting in a chair passed out outside of her room at 8am with a burning cig in her hand. Did feel safe with the constant presence of the police but clearly a reason why they are there. No plan to ever return. Highly recommend the owner/CEO make a pop-in visit. Not good!

When I first arrived I called staff to come clean my room because there where lot of ants in the bathroom she never sent anybody I wrote a note in left it for housekeeping still didn’t come clean in hair on my sheets

There was a lot of broken items in the room - a drawer totally broken, a shelf falling off the way - needs maintenance! They forgot to put towels in the room - only had one coffee cup in the room (for 2 people). Just seemed shabby for the area, and the price.

I needed to be out of the house because Flooring was put down. This place was perfect for that. It was a large room with a bedroom area, a full kitchen and a loveseat chair and TV. I could bring my cat and it was very comfortable not five star because it isn’t nice enough for that. And on the weekends, I have to say there was a lot of people there, but it was still pretty quiet.

Called right when we checked it about an issue with the toilet, the lady didn't care, said you were sold out and there was nothing she could do. Called Saturday and still nothing. There were ants in the kitchen, the shower was dirty, the neighbors were loud and were smoking weed at all hours of the night. Very poor experience.

When I arrived at MainStay Suites – Galleria, I was about an hour early for check-in. I asked about early check-in availability and was offered a complimentary upgrade, which I appreciated.

The check-in process appeared smooth, and I was given keys to my room. However, when I entered the room, I immediately noticed trash on the floor. As I looked further, I saw personal belongings throughout the space — headphones, snacks, shoes, and other items — making it very clear the room was currently occupied. Thankfully, the guest was not inside at the time, but this could have been an extremely uncomfortable and potentially unsafe situation for both parties.

Shortly after, I received a call stating the room was “fine,” just that the heat was not working. I clarified that the real issue was that someone else was actively staying in the room. I was then reassigned to another room farther away, which fortunately was vacant and ready.

While I understand that mistakes can happen, being issued keys to an occupied room is a significant security concern. It left me feeling unsettled for the remainder of my stay, knowing that another guest could potentially be given access to my room in the same way. Beyond the initial complimentary upgrade (which was offered before this incident occurred), no acknowledgment or service recovery was offered.

I hope management takes this matter seriously, as guest safety and room security should be a top priority.

The room was ok but had stains in the bathroom, the carpet wasn't afixed and for sn extended stay out was missing a blow dryer, a pan I jad to go to the front desk to get abs had to take old towels to the desk in order to get replacements. There was also a weird faint smell like paint.

We checked in at 10pm and by the time we got to our room the staff had left for the night so we couldn’t call with the problems we encountered. Our room smelled bad, half of the lights didn’t work, there was no bags in the trash cans, there was no toilet paper, one of the locks on the door was broken, and probably the worst of it all was that the fridge was broken and made an awful loud noise all night long. It was very hard to sleep with the noise. We also paid for a king bed and was put in a room with a Queen.

Idea of the property was nice- looks like converted studio apartments. Bathtub had slow drain so you showered standing in water. Furnace/ac was so loud. Dishes were in dishwasher- not put away- but we did not use those anyway. Overall it was fine, I would address these issues had I been there for more than one night.
