We enjoyed our stay so much…Being a pet friendly hotel meant everything to a person like me because we love our pets like our children. The hotel staff, atmosphere and the fact that location was a plus. I will visit again in the near future. I really wish there was a pool but anywho the overall experience was a 10. Thanks for a relaxing stay that was well worth the money..

I have always booked and paid for the day before I show up just in case I roll into the area before the 3 pm check in. This was no different from other times I’ve booked hotels. Except the manager told me that’s not how hotels work and for lack of better words, called me stupid for being a “no show” and not letting the hotel know I was showing up after the 3 pm check in on the 6th, so the receptionist said they sold my room that was already paid for when I booked through Expedia and the manager said for me to contact Expedia and they would call him and he would “decide if i deserved my refund for my no show” to which I then broke down crying after driving 26 hours to get to this hotel for my weekend concert. After circling Expedia’s “help chat” and trying to contact family for help, the manager then came back 30 minutes later saying they actually hadn’t sold my room and were not fully sold out. So if you’re in the market for a “manager who has been in this business for 20+ years” to teach you a lesson due to what he thinks is right and wrong and will make a fool of you in the lobby before the sun rises, then by all means. This hotel might be for you. Be warned, housekeeping will fully walk into your hotel room 2/3 hours before your check out and just stand in your room while you’re sleeping even with the do not disturb placard up!

Family trip, the hotel is an older hotel that has been remodeled. So that being said the elevator was small and it was very tight for our family and stroller to fit it.
Our SUV did not fit in the 6’5” garage and the surface parking was full. We ended up parking across the street behind a bank. I did not like having our SUV off property and having to walk to and from with little kids, luggage, stroller, etc.
The staff were great and the Crepe restaurant in the lobby made breakfast fantastic!
Overall, I feel like you can get more bang for your buck at a different hotel with breakfast included and parking/garage for all vehicles on property.

Check in was smooth, the staff was not entirely friendly. Once I got to my room I saw we were out in an ADA room. I asked for a king with pull out, so I am not sure why we were put here. I called down to the desk because I searched for sheets for the pull out and there were none in the room.
When I called I was told I had to come get them from the front desk. I had to drag my two small kids back down to the lobby with me and then still didn’t receive any pillows. I was told they would bring the pillows to my room. After waiting for over an hour, I went to the lobby to get a DoorDash pick up and asked about the pillows, and was told “we forgot what room you were in”.
There was a big black stain on one of the towels, the shower was not clean, there was black marks all over the tiles, a stain on the curtain.
For the amount I paid for the night, I am not impressed. This was supposed to be a high quality place and just isn’t.
I won’t be staying here, nor recommend anyone stay with Hotel Indigo.

This hotel was in an excellent location. The staff was efficient and attentive. Our only complaint was the food in the onsite restaurant, the BelAir Social.

The food was edible, but nothing special for the price. The service was subpar at best. We were sitting at the bar and had to request service every time we needed something and the workers were standing two feet away on an evening when it wasn’t particularly busy.

If you want great food just walk across the street to Yellowbelly.

My family was traveling from Colorado to South Carolina and St Louis was our half way point. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we didn’t leave Colorado until the afternoon, this put us outside of our check-in time. I reached out to the hotel and explained our situation and they said no sweat! We arrived at 5:30am and Thomas was awesome! He got us checked in and squared away instantly! Highly recommend this hotel!

My first stay was amazing. Steve the front desk host was amazing. Answer all my questions with a smile. I needed that because I was ill family visit. Everytime he would see me, he would greet me with a smile and answer any questions that I would have. So I decided to come back and stay the following week this time for business. The front desk personal was horrible. I have never been treated like this. It took about an hour before i made it to my room. Only 3 people in line. She was very rude to orher guests and myself. She became upset because I spoke to the other guests about the mistakes she had made with them. I wanted to talk to Mtg but she said no mtg was on duty. The next day I had planned to go to MTG but I was afraid that if I saw her again I would have some serious problems to deal with and it wasn't worth it. Replied to Dan by a text guessing the MTG but he never called or text me back about the incident. I'm never staying there again. And i hope the other 3 guest voiced there concerns. Other than that a great place to stay. My stay was on 3 March 26, the time of my check in was between 815pm - 930pm

Paid for parking for 2 days the damn key thing was broken the next day so it was no point everybody fill up the lot soon as that happened. Didn’t get any room service the whole stay made 3 different attempts to get it . Front was rude and you’ll think for the price it has some type of amenities they have none for real just an outdoor space which I mean it’s winter so yeah .

Room and staff were great! Only issue i had is there is NOT enough parking for you to pay for parking. Returned night 1 and had to squeeze into a corner and hope my car didnt get hit. Night 2 there was nothing went to talk to staff and he stated we could park across the street in the Bank of America garage and they would validate the parking but still had to cross the street the next morning with all our luggage. This was a great experience. Our room was clean and had everything we needed and wanted. The beds were comfy, the front desk man, Steve I believe was very friendly and helpful. It was minutes away from great food and 8 minutes away from the Fabulous Fox theatre, which is why we were there. I'd definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone in town for an overnight or longer term stay. Thanks!

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They were having computer problems when we checked in and they kept apologizing for our wait. We understood it wasn't their fault. This was our first stay here and we weren't disappointed! Our room was neat, very clean, and the perfect temperature. The hotel doesn't provide breakfast but there is a coffee shop on site with breakfast options. My daughter-in-law had the chorizo burrito and I had a pumpkin scone. They were both delicious and the barrista was very nice. There is secure parking and it was close to the hospital where I had an appointment. I have a couple more future appointments there and I will be booking a room here again for sure! Highly recommend!

The visit worked well for our needs but I do think we would stay again. We did not find the bed and pillows very comfortable. There was no breakfast provided so we decided to skip the selection.
The rooms were clean and the staff was very good. The bar manager, Cooper was exceptional as were the other bartenders. The young woman at the checkout was friendly and helpful.

We’ve stayed at this location for the past few years to visit family and we will be looking for a new option for upcoming trips. This hotel has been under construction for YEARS. Not only did this cause inconveniences for parking (yet there was still a daily fee), the upgrades do not warrant the price increase. This hotel adds significant incidental charges that are not posted in the listing causing confusion at check-in. The new additions only add pricey options for food and coffee. There are other options in the neighborhood that offer more value for the price. The staff, however, has always been awesome and pleasant to work with.

Fairly good stay

Had a fairly good one night stay here. Although the hallways are dingy and the 2nd floor smells like smoke (odd since all hotels now are non-smoking), my actual room was very clean and comfortable and did not smell at all. Tayonda was very helpful with assigning me a room that met my room requests. The location is great- steps from Forrest Park and great central west end restaurants. The hotel also has Bar social which has a coffee shop with breakfast sandwiches in the morning, a bar, and a pizza place so very convenient if you don’t want to leave the hotel.

The hotel does not appear to be as accommodating for early check in/late check out requests. I asked the night before for late checkout the following morning and was told i would have to ask the following morning but it shouldn’t be a problem. When I went down the following morning…they said they had too many late checkouts and couldn’t accommodate me. I can understand if their policy is first come first serve but that should’ve been made clear the night before so I could’ve called down as soon as I woke up in the morning. They weren’t accommodating early check in even for customers w IHG status. The housekeeping team does a great job since the room was so clean but perhaps the hotel could hire additional staff so more customers could enjoy check in/check out.

Love the room but did not get to utilize my deck and lost many zzz’s over construction noise, smell and some robotic voice security system that drove me insane. I was too much to not offer some kind of kickback for putting up with it.

Check in was great until the trainee walked in and the entire place suddenly smelled of weed. The clerk was visibly annoyed and the trainee seemed to think it was funny.
The room was exceptional, comfortable, very clean with a great shower. Parking is inside and out.
The only complaint was the bar was already closed at 9 pm on a Saturday night.

St Louis itself is really nice and the hotel was pretty…..but we found a lot of human hair in our bed. It was obvious someone had slept in it, the sheets weren’t changed. It was like they just pulled the corners and made sure it looked presentable.

I would give this place a 5 star but three were a few things that I was disappointed in- parking is not the greatest but since it is free its hard to complain too much. The other was the construction, It made it pretty hard to unload and get out of the parking lot. Once that is done I am sure it will be much easier. The breakfast was ok- the coffee was great- service was sad. He obviously didn't want to be there. It was confusing as it appeared that the only items available were pastries but if you stuck with the changing menu you saw a few things that were not all sweets. As a diabetic this was hard to find something that was healthy for me to eat.

When we pulled in the sign said “Hotel Indigo”. This was disconcerting since I had made reservations at a Holiday Inn Express. I also stayed at the same property in April when it was a Holiday Inn Express. It’s still an IHG property..
We appreciate the history of this hotel and it’s nice that the renovations celebrate this.. it’s on the National Register of Historic Places as the first motel on Route 66 in St Louis.

Construction outside the property, but once you get inside, everything is very nice. Small, but modern lobby with small shop area for snacks and convenience items. The staff was very friendly. Really nice coffee shop, pizzeria, and cafe/sandwich shop attached. Our room was very nice and clean, with a large, modern bathroom. It was pet friendly, and our dog was comfortable there. We enjoyed our balcony. The smoking policy was a little confusing. When booking online, some rooms were designated as non-smoking, but signs all over the property warned that the entire facility was non-smoking. We don't smoke, but we vape, and we were unsure if vaping was even allowed on our outside balcony. That was not a major concern, and we were very satisfied overall. We would 100% stay again and might even request the same room. Very reasonably priced as well.

As with most real estate…location, location, location of the hotel is great. Was confusing to find though because signage was Hotel Indigo, but we booked and GPS’d Holiday Inn Express.

Bistro side is undergoing renovation which we were informed of. It did not interfere with service.

Breakfast by voucher was quite lacking. The coffee cafe had only coffees, teas, sweet rolls and heat and served quiches. The order/delivery process was very slow, even though 3 staffers working. 20 minutes to get a cappuccino, a weak, watery, un chocolate-y hot chocolate, and two sweet rolls. No juices but options for purchase with other snacks/sundry items at desk. So the complimentary breakfast was a pastry, a coffee/tea beverage, juice at my cost.

The hotel area has been renovated and is clean, light, and modern. Our room was Euro style. Only a desk chair, not comfy one, very compact space. The bathroom lacked any kind of shelf/counter space. A pedestal sink had no space for any toiletries. Shower was great!!

On sight parking for $15 per night. Bed comfortable and efficient internet.

This will be our #1 choice for return trips. Hotel was going through a change over process to Hotel Indigo. Expedia needs to update the name to Hotel Indigo as it was very confusing trying to find Holiday Inn where there wasn’t one. But we called the front desk and they were very friendly and helped us get where we needed to be. They are doing construction by the garage and the parking space at the hotel was very limited but there is a garage across the street that the hotel will validate. We had a hiccup with our room. Expedia has the room we booked listed as a “separate bedroom” but the hotel doesn’t have those unless you book a “suite”. But the manager Dan Molina was very accommodating and gave us a discount on our room for the confusion. Very cool guy. Now on top of getting a sweet discount the room itself was magnificent. The shower was *chefs kiss*. Waterfall shower head, glorious pressure, and a removable shower head. Bench inside. It was great after a very long hot day at Six Flags. The bed was lovely, great A/C. Very clean. You must stay here!
