My expedia says check in at 3:00. Hotel says 4:00 and they were terrible at communicating when rooms were done amd we didn’t get in until 4:30. Parking was ridiculously expensive and they put two pending charges for $192.00 and $242.00 before they figured out the correct amount. Had to call back because they charged me for two valet parking permits when i purchased one.. not a great experience

Cleaning and cooking staff were always really friendly and super helpful, as well as some of the front desk staff. Housekeeping always did a thorough job cleaning the rooms. Some of the valet were also very helpful. On some days they appear shot staffed, at least in the morning, so just keep in mind you might have to wait 10-15 minutes for your car even if you call ahead.

I had a room that looked like it had been broken into. Sometimes it was hard to completely shut. Also not sure what can be done about this but guests would run down the hallways or stomp really loudly on the floor above me, late at night. You can also hear the next door’s toilet flush.

When booking, there was nothing that stated the need to pay for parking daily (self park or valet). This may not be such a big deal when you’re there for a few days, but if you’re doing an extended stay like I did, that presents a huge additional cost. I wanted to cancel my reservation but by that point they wouldn’t refund me, so I had to pay the additional to park. This made it difficult for me to tip the valet. (I booked through Expedia and it didn’t mention the daily parking fee; not sure what the actual hotel site says).

Laundry facilities on site are fine EXCEPT that it is quarters only and there is no coin dispenser anywhere on the property. They will literally tell you, “Fresh Thyme across the street should have quarters” — may be fine for someone with no children.

Breakfast provided lots of options including fresh daily options. The room had visible damage in multiple areas which made it feel dirty. The pool area had lots of grim and trash and could probably use occasional walk through from staff to keep up with it.

The breakfast was lacking, parking was expensive and a pain (although the valet were the nicest staff), the pool was cold, our room was missing condition and they never brought us soap, they repeatedly forgot our towels after cleaning, our safe and phone were broken and never replaced or fixed after several requests and the blow dryer was weak and terrible. Good location across from The Foundry.

We are from out of state, we arrived at 3:55 and we couldnt check into our room until about 4:45. We were disappointed on that. We are a family of 6 so 4 little kids in the waiting area for about an hour was frustrating. The pool was great. Our room only had 2 towels The pool area didn’t have many at all. The staff was very nice. We did get the vallet parking, the front desk forgot to let the car runners know we wanted our car, so we waited for about 20 extra mins once during our stay.
We appreciate friendly staff, but we won’t return to this location.

Our room was changed because i booked through Expedia and not Marriot and there was nothing i could do. I booked a room to sleep our family of five but was changed to a room with 2 queens and no pull out couch. We were given extra blankets though. The ADA accessible room that I DID NOT reserve was so loud from the plumbing. At least i didn't have to pay for an extra water feature. The staff was at least friendly and the breakfast had a variety of options. The pool never had any clean towels. So bring them from your room and ask the desk to bring you more.

We chose this location for our Soring Break. It was my daughter, myself and our pupster. We always felt safe and it was a great location. Every staff member I interacted with was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast bar in the morning is amazing. The jars with fresh fruit infused water were so refreshing. We would definitely stay here again!

While the staff was pretty great and accommodating, we won't stay here again.

Check in was a long wait with only one front desk person working when the hotel was booked full, once we did check in (well after the stated check in time) our room was not available which resulted in more waiting. Once we finally got to the room, it was not the room we booked which required another trip to the front desk for a room change and moving all of our luggage again. There also were no luggage carts available which made moving all the luggage a struggle. The room was mostly clean upon entering except for some of the provided dishes being dirty and the table was dusty.

The road traffic was very noisy. Beds were hard and pillows were flimsy. No one slept great the entire stay. Lots of waking up to sirens blaring, loud cars, and music blasting.

Breakfast was mediocre. We did enjoy the espresso maker though.

We also were caught off guard by the hotel parking situation which was another expense on top of the hotel expenses.

For the price I paid, I feel the breakfast selection wasn’t the greatest, however everything served was fresh. Also, I paid an extra 80 plus dollars for parking. If it was mentioned in the listing, it wasn’t plain text that parking was extra. I understand parking space in a big city is a premium, so it’s not a huge deal. Hotel staff were wonderful! Amenities were great. 9/10.

Great property with many dining and entertainment options in walking distance. Upbar has great drinks and city views. Great complimentary breakfast. Staff are courteous and attentive. Parking is expensive but the visitor lot around the corner on Laclede Av at the SLU campus is a great inexpensive option and only a five minute walk away.

Staff members, including general manager Michael, greeted us and welcomed us immediately, accommodating an early check-in and valet parking made that process extra simple.
The room is well appointed, clean, and modern. The partial kitchenette is such a wonderful addition to the spacious rooms.
We lived our stay. And breakfast qlas great with a station grilling fresh, to order, french toast and frittatas.

Every single staff member that we spoke to was extremely nice and polite. Every part of the hotel was always clean, someone was mopping/cleaning the bathrooms in the lobby almost every time we were leaving or coming back in. The valet guys were great. They were polite, every time we left that told us to have safe travels. Anytime we came downstairs and asked for the car they were very quick to go get it. Overall, everything was great, so great that our 3 year old asked to stay forever. We will most likely be booking with Element again.

The issue I had with this hotel is they don’t accept all debit cards. They would not accept a Venmo debit Mastercard. Luckily I had another card but no where did it say they wouldn’t take one. Be ware if you use any cash app debit card, they will turn you away.

It was under construction, so the lobby was a mess. I’m sure that will be cleaned up in time. However, we specifically booked this hotel because it was supposed to have 2 queen beds and a double pull out couch and there was no couch. My kids do not sleep well together and we booked this so they would have space to spread out. None of us slept well!

Location was convenient and parking was easy with valet. Our room was really warm and when trying to adjust the thermostat it took 5 hrs to finally cool down. It automatically adjusted back up to what it originally was a few hours later. Breakfast wasn’t what I expected but was easy and good. Staff was nice. As far as cleanliness. It was cleaned, but it just doesn’t seem like people clean thoroughly anymore. We have traveled a lot in the last 5 weeks and so it’s not just this location.

I always wanted to stay in one of the rooms that have a view of the arch, so I booked a presidential suite. But now I realize that the rooms I was hoping to stay in, are only available as a common suites area...this would be a great option for a family. Our presidential suite was on the 7th floor and had a great view looking towards Forest Park. Great location for the Flyover Comedy Festival.

I liked the room, but several times I had to ask for towels and they were supposed to bring them to the room and forgot. Also, we tend to sleep in, so we usually leave the hotel around 10-1030am for our activities when we're on vacation, and they only cleaned the room once while we were out. The staff was very nice, though and that makes up for a lot, overall I would stay again.

The room was spotless and smelled clean. The mattress was very comfortable. The filtered, drinkable tap water could be felt in the high-pressure shower. If the room hadn't been satisfactory enough the STAFF were some of the friendliest, most helpful people I have encountered. Fyore helped me at check-in. She was SO friendly and helpful. Samantha helped me at check-out and showed me that this staff knows how to care of their guests. Great stay! Thank you!

The absolute best hotel In St.Louis , everyone was super kind, Samatha was very sweet ( front desk) and the breakfast guy Dre, was always super sweet as well, my favorite was pancake day on Sundays, me and my mom stayed here for a month and we caught a few shows across the street at the City Winery. Also, a great grocery store across the street and at night you can just take a walk across the street and grab a drink or go watch a movie. I would recommend highly recommended!!

Breakfast was not good at all. The milk was spoiled, no plain water. I made a reservation for a one bedroom suite for 2 kids and 2 adults which is 4 people. The soda was supposed to be a bed, it was not. And I only got 2 towels and washcloths for 4 people. When I called for more they acted like it was a problem and wanted my dirty linens in exchange for 2 towels. We hadn’t used any yet! I was very disappointed that the sofa didn’t make a bed and it was like they only expected 2 people despite reservation for 4. Plus the parking situation is ridiculous- Sept and valet same price!
