No free parking at hotel, only choice of valet for $50 or monitoring your own street parking using a parking app. One elevator was broken during our stay; this place was NOT a 4 star hotel experience. The only 2 redeeming qualities was the staff was friendly and the museum had cool art.

I liked the room theme.It was a retro, hipster style with a large tub. The hotel had lots of things to look at and activities.
The things that were a turnoff and I will probably never stay again was a lack of cleaning. I woke up on my 2nd night and had a dirty face mask in my sheets. Under the seating couch was a layer of sticky dust and wrappers.
I also experienced poor customer service at the bar. I wanted just a pop and I went to speak and he said I will be with you in a minute. I waited about 5 minutes and I was still waiting so I walked away with no acknowledgement.
The front desk did not compensate for the mask or cleanliness of the room. So check your sheets before you sleep. So you dont wake up to a mask wrapped on your toe.

Loved this hotel. Staff was amazing. Happy hour and food was very good. Only issue is that there is not much to do directly around hnotel...only a short walk to restaurants and hockey arena..so not awful.. Staff was so nice and hotel is very cool.

Great customer service, friendly staff and wonderful coffee shop in the lobby. Fun museum exhibit and great beverage program to enjoy while plying shuffleboard!

I stay at 21C in any city that has one and have stayed here over the past couple years. The property is in need of some attention- the halls really needed vacuuming, trash bins were overflowing and the hallway walls were marked and scuffed.

The rooms could do with some more attention to detail with fraying carpeting and marked doors. The in-room mugs and glassware were dusty and had fingerprints all over them.

The pool ceiling is cracking and peeling into the pool and the space has a stagnant, strange aroma.

Great property, needs some love.

I love the history of the hotel. My kids liked the pool and the hot tub was huge. My husband enjoyed the complimentary drink at the bar and tried something new. The art exhibit was neat as well. It was walking distance to everything we needed. Would definitely stay again!

Location was great and hotel newly updated. There could be improvement with communication among staff members. One front desk member told us we could check out late at 12pm and another was rude and dismissive toward us when we asked for new keys to let us in past normal check out time. This was frustrating experience and I hope the hotel can improve

Staff at the desk was pleasant, but not able to handle issues or concerns independently, stating they would have to wait to notify management on Monday because it was a weekend. My room had a broken door lock with exposed wires showing, the curtains had something on them (vomit maybe?), and there was a poorly patched area on the ceiling above the shower that appeared to be covering mold. One elevator remained out of service and the other two were very small and it took multiple attempts to be able to use an elevator. Food was good at the small cafe, but the service was slow and not very efficient, which required us to wait 45 minutes for an egg sandwich. The valet parking pricing was misleading, when we asked how much it would be to park until Sunday we were told $50. It was actually over $100. Other parking options were unclear. Valet staff was very pleasant. The museum was neat, overall the staff was pleasant and the lobby was unique and inviting. The room was good sized.

I accidentally left my jacket in my room that had quite a bit of cash in the pocket. When I realized it was left about 5 hours after we left I contacted the front desk and the housekeeping manager and the hotel manager. Nobody returned my calls or email. I called back multiple times asking for help. Bottom line is they don’t care about their guests and the housekeeping team clearly has dishonest employees on staff.I recommend you do NOT stay here.

The guy working the front desk in the mornings with the nice sweaters knows everything to do around. He’s got a great attitude and was very helpful!

The hotel is perfectly located, we felt safe and was close to all the activities (Zoo, Ballpark Village, Gateway Arch National Park & Union Station). We parked on the street and had no problems.

The spa is definitely worth it, the pool is huge. The steam room and dry sauna was very clean.

The kids loved the penguins and the green space outback. The museum was not kid friendly with mature themes and was definitely not for us.

We had a double queen room and one bed didn’t have a comforter. We checked in with 4 adults but only had 3 towels in the bathroom. On the second day we asked for a comforter for the second bed and extra towels and then never received them. Elevators are a pain in the behind also. We did love all of the artwork though.

Stayed at 21c and honestly… this place is cool. If you love art, this is your spot. Everywhere you turn there’s something interesting to look at, and it really sets a vibe you don’t get at a typical hotel. The pool was also a highlight, such a unique and relaxing space to unwind.

That said, service was our only real frustration. Our room didn’t get serviced the first day, and we had to call to make sure it would be done the next day. Even then, it didn’t happen until the afternoon. The hotel was at full capacity, and you could tell the staff was exhausted and stretched thin, so it felt more like a staffing issue than a lack of care.

Location-wise, it’s great if you’re planning a trip to the City Museum since it’s within walking distance. Just know there aren’t a ton of restaurant options right around the hotel, so you may need to plan ahead or Uber/drive for more variety.

Overall, we really enjoyed the stay and would come back for the atmosphere alone, just hoping service is a bit smoother next time.

We had an incredible experience at 21C! The amenities are amazing, the staff is attentive, friendly & welcoming. The design of the hotel is beautiful- we loved the museum, pool, sauna, restaurants, art features! Can’t say enough good things about our stay. Also super ideal location and parking/valet was great! We can’t wait to come back or try another location! Kudos to the staff!

No room service. We stayed two nights. No water and no room makeup. Parking was really expensive. We had to call the front desk for towels. We travel a lot and the service was noticeably bad. I never leave reviews but this hotel was disappointing. I hate to leave reviews like this but it was so poor.

Good valet team, poor front desk staff, people not wanting to accommodate basic requests life towels and luggage trolley. Shooting on the street during stay and couple having 30 minute long yelling match out front of hotel at 3 am………cleaning staff and valets were great! Also they added extra fees when checking in the amount of $500+ from the Expedia price. So be ready for that. Cool hotel but weird attitudes from staff.

This hotel took me by surprise with how fancy it was! The museum was so cool, the room was very upscale, and the restaurant and cafe were so good! Friendly staff and overall a great experience. My only gripe is that they didn’t have stairs easily accessible as an alternative to the elevators. One elevator was out of service and it was very busy which resulted in some long wait times any time you were traveling between floors.

The gym was really good and poll also only issue I had was no attendant in this space early in the morning for towels and turn steam room on…. I needed a steam otherwise excellent hotel.

Second time I've stayed, and the last! First time room was super dirty, same goes the second. Gross orange mold in the comers of the shower. Waited 2 hours past our 4:00 check-in for our rooms, not a 'sorry' or any kind of comp. Valet tried to charge me for a two day stay as well. Took three days to get a refund. Cool hotel, lousy management.

Great stay at a hotel that has a lot of character. The main areas and the rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable; the staff were exceptional - friendly, helpful, generally accommodating. I especially loved the ability to walk downtown (it was about a 20 minute walk to the arch). That said - it is in a slightly quieter area (no convenience stores or grocery stores all that close). All that said, I would stay here again without reservation.

One thing I would note was that the amenities of my room were a bit off (nothing catastrophic, but minor nuisances). The toiletries were basically empty in the bathroom and I would have called down to request more, but the phone in my room was inoperable. Also, the TV would not connect to any sort of streaming (despite me spending an hour troubleshooting). Again, not a big deal whatsoever, but just a couple notes for the management. Thank you for an overall wonderful stay!

Arrived to an overcrowded lobby, with no luggage carts, and one broken elevator. Asked the front desk to send up wine glasses, they agreed and never did. Shower was full of scum, tiles were stained, one of the soap dispensers was ripped off the wall, and the shower leaked on the floor. We ordered food in, and nobody was at the desk to give it to us when I went down. In the morning, something exploded outside at 7am, and then there was a bunch of yelling. The cops showed up later to deal with it. When I asked for a 1 hour later check out, the front desk said no. The hallways have been spot painted hundreds of times, and need to be repainted.

We paid $450 and stayed on the top floor in a King suite. This hotel is over priced, oversold, and doesn't meet basic expectations of a basic hotel stay.

I would not stay here again.

The gym was fantastic and so was the museum. Our room had a musty odor to it and we couldn’t connect the tv to the Google apps. Other than that it was great. I wouldn’t stay here with very young kids because of the art they’ll be tempted to touch and deep pool where people are trying to swim laps.

Traveled with a toddler and met our needs. Had a king room and liked it had a big storage closet so our stuff wasn’t all over the room. Only complaints was the fridge was small and there wasn’t an ice machine. I was able to go down to the desk and they got some from the restaurant but I needed more for my cooler and would have preferred to be able to fill it up myself. It was nice to have a water bottle filling machine in the hall. Also didn’t have a microwave but that wasn’t a big deal. I enjoyed going through the art gallery. The pool area was awesome and a big hit for my toddler. The hot tub was a good temperature too. Both weren’t overly chlorinated. There were two steam rooms and work out rooms. Parking was easy enough. Definitely a plus for those looking for a place with a pool. Staff was friendly and the entire hotel felt clean.

The pool had poop from a child. Underage, unruly children running all over the pool and in hot tub. No real supervision. Clearly none of the rules were being followed or enforced. We order food the burgers ordered were well done, but not edible and burnt. I don't expect a five star menu, but edible for almost $70.00 would have been nice. To top it all off there was a mysterious $5.00 charge when I checked out, and $50.00 valet parking is simply ridiculous. The one good thing is yes, the staff is nice.

Wish they offered more than massage services in the spa though. If you prefer getting around town on foot or public transportation, I probably wouldn’t choose this location.

Looking at it briefly it’s looked nice however after actually staying in it there were def some issues. The shower door didn’t close all the way. There was lots of stains throughout the room on the rug, curtains, and the wall as if something splattered in numerous spots.

It is a fun place to look at with the eclectic art and design. However, we were unable to get into our room until after 5:00 -check in is at 4:00- because it wasn’t clean yet. Many others checking in had the same predicament. We were there for a concert and ended up getting partially ready in the gym locker rooms. I asked if they could comp my parking but they said that was a separate entity, which was confusing as it was valet and they were right in front of the hotel door.

Check in was at 4pm and we arrived at 5. They said our room wasn’t ready because they were behind with cleaning. We had a concert to leave for in an hour. They offered me to get ready in the locker rooms in the gym downstairs. We didn’t get into our room until a little after 6. Room was pretty small. The hotel itself is very nice! Had a coffee shop, a little seating area, bar, restaurant. Extremely upscale. No other parking options besides valet and public parking.

It was close to downtown, food, fun attractions like the union station! this was my first time to st.louis and i will definitely be back and staying at the 21c hotel! Our room was very dirty. The bath tub had hair leftover from someone shaving and the bathroom floor was disgusting. Most of the furniture had greasy smudges and there appeared to be body fluid on the wall. Also the outlet in the bathroom did not work. We were unable to get ready in the bathroom and it was very inconvenient because the only other mirror was inside the wardrobe. The condition of the room was very disappointing and not worth the price I paid.
