The site was nit as nice as on a more extended stay four years ago -- not a \" best.\" Tub drained slowly.
Repeatedly. Powdered eggs separated, watery. Gravy and biscuits were cold. No coffee available except during breakfast. Patios were unusable for ventilation in nice weather, because there were no screens on doors. Towels were Motel 6 quality.
I expect more for what I paid, and I have seen it at other BW properties. I will seek another optionwgen I return to visit relatives.

There is a significant issue with the front desk staff's customer service and consistency. Throughout our stay, they seemed entirely unwelcoming, and their default response to any basic request was a flat \"no.\"

We were traveling with friends and had multiple rooms booked for our daughters' dance competition. The evening staff member who checked us in was genuinely understanding and kindly allowed us to use the media room for a quick practice. However, when we went back the next day to use it for just 30 minutes, a different employee flatly denied us, stating the previous staff should never have allowed it.

This contradiction continued with basic amenities. The room pillows were horribly small, but when we asked for standard, wider ones, the daytime staff claimed the hotel didn't carry them. Yet, during check-in, I witnessed the friendlier evening staff member offer wider pillows to another guest right in front of me.

Finally, we requested a modest 30-minute late checkout. The staff member refused to even listen, claiming rooms had to be cleaned immediately. However, when we departed, not a single room on our floor had even begun to be cleaned.

The front desk staff desperately needs better hospitality training. Even if a request cannot be met, they should know how to speak to guests respectfully. Management needs to train them properly before putting them on the desk.

We booked 3 nights and was placed in tbe worst location. (Right next across from the elevator on the floor with the continental breakfast). I could understand if the hotel was fully booked, but we checked in shortly after 3pm and the parking lot/hotel was not busy. Our room had weird stains all over the chair and ottoman, dust caked the floor boards, mold on the tub caulk, and grime on the doors/light switches. Breakfast consisted of watery eggs that was cold and all the trash cans overflowing and spilling over. You have to request housekeeping before 4pm the day before if you need anything and they ran out of towels. Overall, I wish I would have spent the extra $20 a night to go down the street.

La ubicación del hotel está muy bien pero el l edificio está muy mal cuidado, la tina del baño estaba en muy mal estado, un foco estaba mal, el teléfono no servía intenté llamar al front desk y no funcionaba, no habían suficientes toallas y cuando pedíamos solo nos daban 2, el jabón y el shampoo de la peor calidad, el desayuno muy pobre.
Había mucho ruido en las habitaciones después de las 11 y nadie ponía orden.
El personal no era muy amable. Solo una empleada era amable ( la que nos recibió el día que llegamos)

Great location! Staff was helpful when needed. If you don't like the smell of cigarette smoke, I would consider not staying here. It's almost as if the smoke permeated the walls. Other than that, it served its purpose!

The room was disgusting. Shower was rusty and chipped and dirty. Wallpaper missing and peeling from bathroom walls. Towels were dingy and threadbare. Bathroom floor was super slippery. Carpet was dirty. Room smelled like acetone and Fabuloso. So bad that we left and moved to a different hotel.

The hotel met our needs. Clean, friendly staff, pool, and warm breakfast.

Things to improve, many items outdated. Light fixtures, rust in bathroom sinks, and bedding pillows rather flat. Hotel needs to invest in some upgrades to remain competitive with others, as seeing the outdated, I'd rather pay the $20 more per night and go down the street to the nicer updated hotel. Hoping management improves and stays in the game!

The room we were put in was horrible. It was completely filthy and falling apart. The floor was so moldy and mildewed that we had to ask for a new room. We would have asked for our money back, but since it was past the time frame, we would have been out of pocket either way. When we went to the desk to let her know the room was deplorable, the worker said, \"Yeah, I know that room is nasty. I don't know why they put someone in there.\"

We were switched to a different room that was not much better. I have pictures of how dirty even it was and how the faucet in the shower was falling off when you touched it. The window seals were disgusting, and it looked like someone had eaten fried chicken and rubbed their hands all over the entire room. I would NEVER stay here again.

Bathtub falling apart, stains and calcium deposits all over shower head, stains on curtains, no ice bucket, Ice machines didn't have ice, TV didn't work. Person working front desk was super slow, could not recommend any restaurants , claims she lived 2 hours away and wasn't local. Hotel claimed there was a bar, apparently it was shut down a while ago, pool was filthy. Noticed a woman with 2 young children trying to check in 3 days into our stay at 6pm. Check in was at 3 and she was told no rooms were ready. I saw over half the rooms open and unclean. Maybe the cleaning lady quit, but people were not able to check in and decided to cancel and go elsewhere. Overall I will never stay here again and would not recommend to anyone. 2 stars.

* TV at lower number channels where local news is was fuzzy and difficult to see both in the evening and morning like you get when a storm comes through even the sky was clear and sunny
* the water pressure in the bathroom sink was only a slight dribble - very hard to fill the sink to wash our face and brush our teeth
* No facial tissue in the room - we were told none of the rooms had facial tissue
* a plug in the wall in the room where a night light could be used was wallpapered over and not usable
* Note said pool was closed for the season even though we are now in summer
* breakfast room is dim and not well lit and a vending machine sells pastries which would normally be available for breakfast
* somewhat dim lighting on the bathroom - no secondary lighting
* towel rack was broken but only taped together, not a new one installed

What really made it bad at this franchised hotel - the manager on duty told us that if we didn't like the way things were we could just check out and find another place. Very, very poor attitude of how to address problems!

When we checked in, the staff member was talking on the phone with her children or someone else while assisting us, so the check-in process was not handled very well. We had three people in our group, but she only created one key card at first, and we had to ask for two more. She quickly handed us the card and sent us on our way so she could return to her phone call.
We stayed for five nights, and during the first three days, all three key cards stopped working after only one day and had to be reset repeatedly. Fortunately, the last staff member who assisted us carefully reissued the cards, and the problem did not happen again.
The security box was also very old and difficult to operate because it used a traditional key system.
Best Western has clearly declined in quality. I stayed there years ago, and it was very good at that time. This stay was very disappointing.

The Pro & Cons of staying here.
The place and room were pretty clean for a hotel that could use some updating.
We had a room with 2 queen beds(?Full) for 3 Adults. But only 1 wash cloth and 2 Large Towels? Now with a room with 2 (Double) beds in it, you surely would think that more than 2 people will be staying in it.

And An FYI:
Make sure if you are staying more than 1 night that at Check in you request for your room to be cleaned Every Night, if this is something you expect, because if not, it will not be cleaned.

The nice thing about this location, is that it is in the same parking lot as a Walmart, so if you need something it is a short walk to the front doors.
Texas Roadhouse is a short walk as well, and a Chili's is actually accessible through the hotel.
Other than that, I would not really stay here again, but I doubt I am ever in St louis again, anyways tho....

The room was clean but needed a complete refresh. There was obvious water damage on the wall/ceiling, the tub was stained to the point you didn’t want to stand in it in your bare feet.
The furniture was tired and the desk chair was cracked, peeling and falling apart. It wasn’t a pleasant room.
The public breakfast room floor was so sticky (with soap film?) that it squeaked as people walked on it.
The staff was friendly and the location was convenient for our purposes.

They are under construction currently - to be expected levels of disarray on the property. Its noisy during the day and into the evening with the equipment backing up and doing things. Staff was great ! We had a false alarm fire drill event and they handled it very well. Hopefully after the construction they can keep up on the cleaning.

First I'll start with the things we did like about the hotel.
We arrived a little after 4. Check-in was quick, and we were offered what floor we wanted to be on.The room was spacious, clean, and there was a balcony The thing we liked the most about this hotel was the access to stores/restaurants. You could literally park at the hotel and walk. Also there is a Chili's restaurant on the second floor.

Here are somethings we didn't enjoy about the hotel. The bathroom is tiny, and in need of some major repairs.
This may not be an issue for some but it was for my family and I. I'm going to say this about every hotel I stay in that does what I'm about to say. There should be another protein option besides pork. Offering a turkey/chicken susage wouldn't be a bad idea. You can't assume that everyone eats pork. Non pork eaters should have an option as well.

However if the issues I mentioned isn't a problem, check this hotel out.

I wasn't expecting much, but the reviews looked promising. The lobby is cute, the room itself was fair. Beds were old and not well made. I cannot forget how terrible the hallway smelled. The hotel is supposed to be smoke free, but the hallway ricked of weed. I'm not sure where it could have come from, but it was so overpowering, by 11pm it was getting inside the room. I wish i had spent a little more and gotten somewhere better.

Breakfast was pretty average - pancake maker doesn't work very well. They didn't keep up with the heavy crowds really well - spring break seemed to peak the crowds. Clean and comfortable room. Liked the small balcony (not enough room to sit - standing only). Staff were moderately personable - it really depended on which one you spoke to. Probably not quite as good of a place as the reviews suggested, but okay.

I would say you get what you pay for but this was too expensive fot the condition of the rooms. Immediate red flag, when checking in two people came down to complain about how there rooms were not cleaned as they asked. I should have left but continuted to check in. When one of the cleanling people came to the front desk, the person checking me in asked why the rooms weren't clean and the cleaning person said \"we were short staffed and they didn't get to it\" I honestly think they should burn this place down and start over.

This property is pretty dated. We stayed for 2 nights while visiting for a University tour. The closet doors were off their tracks, the drawers wouldn’t pull out, the counter top and room seemed clean but looked dingy and old. The room also smelled pretty musty until we turned the window mounted ventilation on high to circulate the air in the room. The lighting didn’t help it look better. The bed however was comfortable. The front desk person wasn’t very talkative but check in was quick. Breakfast was pretty standard for this level of hotel.

Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The room we were given was profoundly dirty – the bathtub was unclean, the carpet was stained, and the bedding was also filthy. The front desk staff seemed surprised that we received such a room, and after being moved to another, it was also used and not cleaned. They explained it by saying they were short-staffed and fully booked, but I had made the reservation online the day before, so this excuse was not acceptable. After I asked for the manager, he was shocked, went upstairs to fix it, but when we returned, the room was still just as dirty. I do not understand how they can accommodate guests in such filthy, smelly rooms. We stayed just four hours and left, as it was unbearable – we couldn’t even lie down.
