cardboardZI booked for 2 beds in room. I’m recovering from cancer and have back and neuropathy issues. Needed 2 beds. We checked in an hour before check in started and they told us they had no rooms with2 beds that they were sold out. We reserves and paid for 2 beds but did not get.
It was miserable 2 nights .

The staff wasn’t to bad, but it definitely could have been a lot cleaner. Kids were running around 2am in the morning no supervision. The pool looked dirty I wasn’t getting in there.

My experience with the assistant manager was really upsetting. I’m traveling with my 4-year-old son and had accidentally booked a full-size bed. I politely asked if I could switch to something safer since he moves a lot in his sleep, and I was even willing to pay for an upgrade.
Instead, I was treated like a problem and told to “leave” and I’ll be refunded while standing there with my child. She raised her voice in front of other guests, which was embarrassing and honestly scary for my son, he ended up hiding behind me because he was so uncomfortable.
That interaction completely changed how I felt about the stay. Customer service matters, and this was not handled well at all.
I reported the incident however have not heard back. the room was fine and breakfast was great.

The breakfast and the room were fine, but the cleaning staff left us with completely empty shampoo and body wash dispensers in the shower, and even the hand soap for the sink was completely empty when we got there. Not even a plain bar of soap could be found. It was late when we got there, and we were so tired from traveling all day that we went right to bed. The staff did absolutely nothing to make sure we had a stocked room, and didn’t even ask us how our stay was when we checked out early the next morning. We probably didn’t smell too good, since we didn’t have any soap for our morning shower, so it’s even worse that they didn’t even ask if everything was ok. While I was checking out, I hesitated after he said good day to me, then I waited another few seconds to see if the man at the desk was going to ask me how our stay was, but when he didn’t I just bid him a good day and walked out. We will not be returning to Crown Plaza St Louis Airport on our future travels through St Louis (which is often)

Beautiful hotel, absolutely loved the waterfall at night time. My room opened up to the sound, it also a very nice balcony overlooking the hotel pool and waterfall. Make sure to get a room overlooking the pool with deck.

The hotel is nice , dated but still nice . Unfortunately the cleanliness was awful. The first room was disgustingly filthy . The staff changed the room pretty fast. The new room was full of mildew in the bathroom , mirrors dirty and some sort of crumbs all over the floor . After the second room was a bust , I went to Walmart and bought cleaning supplies and clean sheets. I’d never book there again .

I am writing to share feedback regarding my recent stay. While the property is beautiful and the staff was excellent, I wanted to bring a few concerns to your attention.

The cleanliness of the rooms could be improved. It felt as though the cleaning was focused more on initial presentation rather than thoroughness. Additionally, the pool area was disappointing; there was debris floating in the water, which appeared unsanitary and discouraged us from swimming. On a positive note, we did enjoy the breakfast.

I hope this feedback is helpful for your maintenance and cleaning teams.

The room I booked with Expedia was not available when I arrived. I was down graded to a smaller room without a balcony. They gave me drink vouchers “two” for the inconvenience. I also purchased breakfast for two during booking. The restaurant was closed for a remodel. We had to travel outside of the hotel to find food. The breakfast bar closes at 10am. Needless to say, we didn’t use the free drinks or breakfast coupons. The pool closes at 9. By the time we ate dinner and returned. The pool was closed. I basically over paid and received nothing I was expecting. Website should have stated restaurant bar was closed. I partial refund is owed for the downgrading.

Everything was great per usual. Every time I come to St. Louis, I stay here. S/O to Debbie who had a ton of stuff going on but yet when I had to go back downstairs for the 3rd time because my key card wasn’t working, she took the time to rectify the situation and got someone up there to help me immediately. The customer service was EXCELLENT! I will be back soon!

This hotel has seen better days. You can see its former grandeur but chipped wooden furniture, dirty elevator panels/walls etc show the wear and tear. Staff is accommodating and mostly helpful. Breakfast is pretty standard fare. I didn’t want buffet but ordered eggs, bacon and toast and was clearly given box eggs from the buffet. I had to request my eggs be real and cooked to order. That seemed to be a burden. Otherwise clean and ok for a short and convenient stay.

Specific failures:

1. Room 436 (first night) – Thermostat set above 80 °F (photo attached) yet the room remained extremely cold; cold air blew from vents all night. Front-desk staff admitted they were “aware of the issue” when I called and were “cold themselves downstairs.”

2. Room 432 (initial replacement offered) – Overpowering odor of wet carpet and cigarette smoke. Staff acknowledged the smell as if she was already aware of it prior to switching me to that room and initially offered only to “spray Febreze.”

3. Room 642 (final relocation) – Same heating issue; thermostat set above 75 °F (photo attached) yet the room never became adequately warm and remained uncomfortably cold overnight.

What I went through was not just “a little chilly” night. It was :
- Multiple nights of documented, systemic heating failure in sub-freezing weather
- Being bounced around three different defective rooms
- Wasted hours of compensated business trip
- A front-desk staff that admitted to whole building experiencing cold temperatures in multiple areas and still tried to put me in a cigarette soaked room with Febreze as solution for the smell

These documented failures constitute:

• Deceptive practices under the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act (§ 407.020 RSMo)

• Breach of the implied warranty of habitability under Missouri law

• Violation of St. Louis County Property Maintenance Code Chapter 1108 / IPMC § 602.3 (68 °F minimum required when outside temperature is below 60 °F)

The pool hours are from 6am to 9pm. considering how the hotel is built I think the time of 6 am is very inconsiderate. I was woke up by kids screaming and yelling at 6am due to them being in the pool.

I like the location, however the hotel is severely dated! The Internet was out the first day so there was no tv access & no compensation for it either. The snack machines didn't accept cash although it was a place to insert cash. Finally they charge for parking but did not mention this to me at check in. I won't be staying again.

Pink streamers and decorations still taped up on the walls from what I’m assuming was a birthday party or bachelorette party. Pubic hairs all over the tile wall in the shower at face level (I’m 5.4)
Tv was glitching so I couldn’t even watch tv, I had to watch a show on my phone. Wanted to call down to the front desk to put my name on the airport shuttle list for in the morning and tell them my tv wasn’t working properly. Busy tone, also wanted to order food from room service so I dialed that. Busy tone. Tried calling each multiple times thinking that maybe they were just busy. So finally I called the actual hotel on my cell phone, told her my phone wasn’t working, she knew, told her about my tv problem and she said she’d send someone up, asked her about room service and she told me I had to go down stairs and order at the bar. Mind you it states in the menu that room service adds a $3 fee and automatic 20% gratuity…. Which is fine, but part of room services doesn’t involve me having to walk some where to put in my order. I’m supposed to be able to stay in my room and not leave. I had a long day of driving and an early flight the next morning. I was exhausted and hungry, and just wanted to watch something on tv and relax. Disgusting and poorly ran hotel

Coming off the freeway you had to be quick to find entrance or drive around 4 mile circle to get back to it? Parking? How many cars never moved during 3 days? Seams like lots were full always and be prepared to walk long distance to your car!!! Seams like the charge to park and breakfast price should be part of stay price. A charge for everything? Won’t be back. Much better places just across the street!!

I chose this hotel because of the pictured pool. We got there in the evening and the pool area was poorly lit, not what I'd expected. The next day, with more natural light, the pool looked dirty. The clerk wasn’t friendly and explained nothing about parking. I asked about a shuttle to the nearby amphitheater and she just laughed and walked away. Eventually we received a code to park but it took some work. The pool looked disgusting. It was incredibly dirty. You couldn’t sleep in because it wax so loud. There was no soap in the dispenser at the sink. The keys didn’t work and to go through several until one worked. This place was a hassle. I would not stay here again or recommend it.

The bed was very comfortable. I did not experience the food. The restaurant only opened for breakfast. That was unfortunate because when I arrived, I would have eaten at the restaurant if it were opened. Also, Zi called the hotel to get information about the shuttle. I got 3 different answers about how the shuttle ran.

Staff was very nice. Management should be fired due to the place being so dirty. Carpeting has lots of stains and needed vacuuming tile floors dirty not been cleaned for a long time. Elevators dirty needed cleaned and polished. Bottom of doors horrible looking with dirt. Windows dirty.
Lobby bar was clean but floors once again dirty. Such a shame this hotel was the CROWN but until it gets cleaned up no more for me.
