When we checked in dirty rags were left in the room. In the morning there was no hot water to take a shower. When I called front desk the employee told me they are working on it and that management was on the way to the hotel. Fast forward an hour later, still no hot water. So I spoke to the front desk employee to get a partial refund and cancel my next night, she seemed like she was very bothered with that question.

Maybe the hotel is about to update, but security door was never secured, carpets warn, room was clean. Staff was somewhat helpful, not very eager to offer any more assistance than what was asked for. It was fine for a night, would not stay there again for any longer of a period.

I chose this hotel because it was not so close to the airport to be nosy but–and this was very important–had a free van service to the airport. When I checked in around 9 pm I said that I would be leaving around 5:15 a.m. for the airport and asked if there were a van schedule. The very nice man at the desk informed me that they hotel has no vans. I mentioned the website info and he said they used to have vans. When I asked about them he said they all broke down a while ago. Long story short I had to pay $30 for a cab the next morning. Also, I was charged $20 for \"incidentals\" which I never used and though I was told that I'd be refunded, I haven't been.

This hotel I would not recommend. The bed be happy if you can sleep 2 it’s barely impossible. Breakfast cold and some stuff had mold. The table not cleaned off at all during breakfast person was on phone just standing around. Pool is freezing cold when asked why there repo de is it is how people want it no one would go in not even other people

We didn't eat the the hotel. It had limited options. The bathroom was a disappointment. The toilet seat was very loose and about to come off the toilet. I had to tighten the screws of the toilet seat to to make it secure. The shampoo bottles had been removed from the shower wall, and were left on the counter by the shower. You could see where they were originally mounted.

The decorWe were very tired after our travels and wanted to eat at the hotel. We assumed there was a restaurant on site. What they provided was an order and pick up for dinner. It would have been nice to have a sit down dinner with service.

The ice machine on our floor was not working. I checked the other end of the floor for another ice maker, It too was not operating. There was no ice machine on the floor above. I couldn't get ahold of the front desk so I went down to the check out counter to ask about the ice maker. The receptionist knew the were not working and sent to the one on the first floor where I could get ice.

There was no restaurant in the hotel other than a counter where you order food and sit at tables to eat it. It would have been nice to eat dinner at the hotel and enjoy a meal with service. I was disappointed.

I was disappointed with the Courtyard St. Louis.

Booked Suite Issues

I stay at Marriott Hotels every weekend as I travel consistently for work. I booked a suite this go round to be able to unwind and have a little extra space. The living area in the suite had a nice, large tv that I planned on relaxing and using. Unfortunately, the tv was not working correctly. It seemed to have an internet connection issue. I contacted the front desk about the issue, and was informed that a maintenance worker would come to look at the problem. The maintenance worker never arrived, and I was confined to the tv in the bedroom, essentially eliminating the purpose of booking the larger suite. I was pretty disappointed in the handling of this situation.

I didn’t spend much time at the property, short stay. The location of the hotel worked perfectly for me and for the places I wanted to go/see. The hotel bed , like always at a Marriott, was so comfy. The room was clean, the door stuck, so had to make sure it was always shut and I noticed some other minor maintenance things that needed to be done, other than that I would say it was a great stay! The staff was polite and professional. I did not eat at the on site Bistro, so I can not say anything about that.

One Day Solo Stay

The room was clean and the staff were professional and friendly. However, there was a mini-fridge that was in the room that appeared not to be clean and was not working. There was also an ice bucket that had a smell. I was only there for one day, so I didn't need the mini-fridge; however, I would have liked to have been able to make better use of the ice bucket. In addition, the doorknob was sticking, and I had to employ a lot of \"elbow grease\" to get the door open.

Clean, safe, convenient to Hollywood Casino Ampitheater, cozy and comfy! Would definitely recommend! Nightstand on both sides of the bed, lots of outlets and usb plugs, clean, looks new! Would stay again if I’m ever in the area. Also, I got this room at very good price point! I just shopped it a bit!

On the good side, the front desk staff was very nice and helpful and we appreciated their nice attitudes. But…the room was not great. The shower wasn’t not cleaned well before our arrival: hair and soap scum. Yuck. The room had a very musty smell. Granted, it’s a time a high humidity and high temps outside. But also the AC definitely blows drops on the rug in front of it making a wet rug there and in front of the slider. There were just the bare minimum towels in the room and the body wash container had no holder to attach it to the wall like the shampoo and conditioner were. The traffic noise from the freeway was pretty constant. One of the two beds was made up with a thick winter-type duvet/comforter— during almost 100 degree weather. The hotel was just kinda tired and needs a refurb.

After complaining, and finally getting another room after two hours, the second room smelled of mildew and mold, and had stains on the sheets on the pillows. The couch covers were all torn. The whole place smelled.

Chefs kiss to them and their staff. So kind, so sweet and helpful, so kindhearted. Just absolutely incredible customer service. And the room was more than I expected. Very impressive. It was clean, cozy and comfortable. And the balcony was a nice surprise I didn’t know about. I slept better that night than I needed.

All in all this was a good stay. The shower in our room could use some extra attention as there appeared to be mold on the base of it. Just needed a little extra scrub. The rest of the room was clean, bed was extra comfortable and clean.

I don't even know where to begin on all the things that were wrong with this hotel. First the remote control for the TV didn't work but eventually the whole TV didn't work. We reserved two queens and ended up with a king and sofa bed. They were not enough sheets to make the sofa bed. When we called down to get new sheets they made us come down and pick them up. Same with extra pillows . We ran out of towels because they're only two towels in the bathroom even though it was a three person reservation . We didn't even bother trying to call for towels because we knew what the answer was going to be by then . The drain in the bathroom didn't work so we had to shove a toothpick into it so it would drain. All of the ice machines for broken and when we requested ice from the bar we got a large coffee cup filled with ice which was not enough. The staff was annoyed if you ask for ice. They were understaffed so you had to wait forever for it.

Front Rep. Was exceptionally personable Drea was her name, i had a problem with Ants crawling all over the counter near refrigerator, I had to move my food away and put up. I reported to Drea, suggested I move, but so much stuff I had unpacked it was 10:pm when I discovered them all over the wall & the refrigerator. Only there for 2 days, I got somebug sprayed.
I feel like the Mangement staff after receiving the email would have taken care of problem, but they did not.

The restrooms are out dated with low toilets sitting almost to the floor. Needs remodeling they charge as much as 5 star hotels and not update.

The ONLY bad thing I have to say about this property is that when a tornado warning came through and everyone lost power, the generator stopped after 10 minutes. Then when everyone else’s power came back on, this hotels power did not. We were without power for no less than 15 hours. We were not compensated for the evening where we were drenched in sweat while sleeping. No one took responsibility and was unwilling to work with us.

Overall it was decent. The staff didn’t enter my information in the system properly. Therefore we had someone knocking at our door in the middle of the night to see who was in or room. 3 am phone calls to check our last name and another 7:30 call for us to yet again do it again. So it wasn’t peaceful and it was unorganized.i wouldn’t stay here again without verifying that or information is in the system right a few times before going to our room. We NEEDED that night to be away from our daily routine so it was a last min staycation that didn’t turn out the way we wanted but it was okay, I guess.

Needs Some Attention

Several things that were supposed to be there for conscience did not work properly. (1)The wall thermostat in the room that was broken. It had a label maker label that said “A/C must be controlled at the unit”. The label was OLD. Why wouldn’t that be fixed?
(2) The bathroom exhaust and light are controlled by one switch (outside) of the bathroom. The exhaust fan was so loud it was hard to stay in there. You had to have it on or the light wouldn’t work. We left it on while we were out and it was less noisy after running for four hours.
(3) The convenience outlet in one of the bed side tables did not work. It was plugged in to the wall, just did not work
(4) The light fixture b on the other side of the bed had a broken shade
(5) The phone in the room did not work (not even to the front desk)
(6)There was NO COFFEE in the lobby. Breakfast available for $$. Bad fake Starbucks coffee for $3.50 a cup, which came with ample grounds in the bottom of the cup!
(7)The Good. EVERY employee was friendly and accommodating! Nice people!

Check in was easy, our room was extremely hot, the air was not turned on. The floor by the air unit was completely soaked. We didn’t check in until 12:30am after a concert, so we dealt with it. Upon checkout when I expressed our problems with the room the attendant simply said “sorry”.

First and last stay at this location.

I was charged for both rooms I had reserved under my name even though the other party provided cc info upon arrival as this was a \"pay at the property\" hotel. I alerted the front desk that evening to the error. It was late so no solution was provided. The following morning I inquired again about the billing issue and was told The manager was off work and apparently no one else at the location could remedy the issue until her Monday return. As of now it’s a waiting game but be warned, if this happens to you, you may be waiting days for a refund since there appears to be periods of time where supervisors aren’t available.

I appreciated it was bear the highway with the ease of access.
This Courtyard is a low-budget hotel. The walls are thin, with inoperable electrical sockets, along with a worn look in the rooms (and the exterior property).Additionally, Mobile Key is not a working option at this location.
I stayed one night and it met the purpose of finding a place to sleep. I would not pay for an extended stay at this property.

We started our stay off with one of the most rude and unprofessional check-in lady. She first made us wait till she was done texting whoever she was texting on her personal phone to ask us “what do we need” then as we were checking in she asked me for a card and to put it in the card reader and never explained why it was needed. As I asked her what it was needed for she was was rude and acted as if me asking was bothering her. I might add this is my first time ever booking a room for myself. Then I asked how much it charged my card so I was aware of how much she charged me and again was irritated with me for asking questions. She was very rude and a very poor way to start my trip. The room was nothing like in the pictures and the sofa bed was covered in stains and had a sticky feel to it and also had no sheets provided for the pull out bed, so we had three adults in one bed. Finally i had charges made to my card that were from a restaurant room charge that totaled up to $43.60 that me nor my group had made. As I told the same check in lady that these charges were wrong she said she’d fix it while again staring at her personal phone, and did in fact not fix it. So long story short, I do NOT recommend this hotel for your stay until changes be made.
