Super laid back hotel. not to close to Burbon street and the noise but close enough to catch the trolly and visit Burbon and French quarters. Staff was Super helpful. Breakfast was simple, but if your visiting New Orleans you’re not there for the hotel food.

As a party of 4 we booked room with 2 beds. We were given a room with a bunk bed with a double bed and a twin. The front desk was able to get us in a better room. Once we got into a room, it was filthy. The lounge bathroom was disgusting. Our room did not get cleaned after our first night, the trash is not taken out, and we didn’t get a change of towels.. The front staff was inattentive and seemed put out for any questions, requests, or anything that we needed.

The rooms were dirty (I always pull mattresses away from the wall to check for bedbugs- there was food crumbs, hair and matches on the platform bed). The rooms are weirdly fluorescently lit and the bathroom doors are see through and don’t close properly. Staff was cold at best.

I was attending the Patton Conference at the National WW II Museum and the Higgins Hilton was too expensive, so the HIE was a reasonably priced option and only 1.5 blocks from the conference/Museum. My only real complaint is tha the carpeting was filthy. It looked okay, but after walking around the room in my bare feet, from the bathroom to the bed, my feet were quite dirty. That was gross! Shampoo those rugs regularly, bros!! Othewise, good breakfast, comfy bed, etc.

Hotel is very run down and was not clean when we attended. There were issues with mold in the bathroom. The staff member Michelle was wonderful and tried to find a room with a shower that did not have a bunch of visible mold (allergy) but all rooms shown had the same issue. Time for the hotel to get a renovation.

The complementary breakfast had very few options to choose from and they were missing items such as fresh fruit (apples / bananas) that most breakfasts offer.

For our troubles the hotel did agree to cancel the remaining portion of our reservation but it was a hassle to find another hotel and move our luggage.

One nice thing I can say is the hotel is in a pretty central location if you wanted to go watch an NBA game, WW2 Museum, Garden District and French Quarter if you dont mind waking 20ish minutes.

Hotel not recommended unless budget is yoir only consideration.

Will never stay here again thanks to Amanda at front desk. If there’s a black woman with a nasty attitude checking you in and her name is Amanda save yourself the grief and go to another hotel. Obviously she didn’t aim higher in life and makes it a point to punish everyone else that she has to work front desk at this raggedy hotel. The parking is $40 a night with “at your own risk” parking in an uncovered lot near the hotel. Spend the extra 40 bucks on the room instead and stay closer to the French quarter. The woman had a nasty attitude upon check in and then called us to tell us that our late check in was done with a third party and not with them and we would have to leave at 12 instead of 3pm. Surely anyone with two brain cells to rub together can see this is an easy fix. After a very rude demeanor and no interest in actually resolving the issue I asked to speak to a manager. In which she told me that I can wait for a manager so they can tell me the same thing. Excuse me?? So I wait on the line. Then she says I need to come downstairs to speak to the manager about late check out. The purpose of late check out was to sleep in. Why would I go downstairs to be told whether or not I can sleep longer when you can answer me on the phone? I told her okay and hung up. Would you know we got a call 3 minutes later asking if we would like to pay for the late check out? Probably from the manager. Almost like it was a very easy thing to accommodate w/o the attitude.

Overall the stay was pleasant. The room was small, but served my needs. The king size bed was very comfortable. The room was clean and quiet. The fitness room leaves a lot to be desired. There are a limited number of dumbbells and a bench. The one treadmill they have times out after 10 minutes. Very annoying. There was no A/C in that room either. Not good. In general the location is great for seeing a lot of what NOLA has to offer and it's in the quieter part of the city. French Quarter is a quick 15 minutes or so walk. The WW2 museum is right around the corner. The Riverwalk is also about 10 minutes by foot. The street car stop is right there. Continental breakfast was ok. There was not much in the way of snacks to buy at all but a Circle K right there in Heritage Circle made up for that. For the price I would certainly go back. It's a decent place to use as a jumping off point. Since you only need it to sleep and wash up, it serves that purpose. But the fitness center issue and the lack of certain commodities should be addressed.

Location was fantastic, breakfast was ok, room was ok...appears like tbe hotel is in need of some significant maintence. Broken soap dispensers, broken mirrors, luke warm showers, stained sheets. Fitness center missing essential weights, no water available in lobby. Evening check in staff had very little clue,orning staff much more knowledgeable and on the ball. The hotel has a lot of potential but it felt like it was hung over from Mardi gras. Lastly i had reserved 2 rooms side by side one for my 84 year old father with ada accessibility and one for myself. Sadly that didnt happen. Andre after 2 attempts was able to get us on the same floor somewhat nearby with my dad getting his ada room.

I came to New Orleans for a 1st time experience and my hotel location was great but the hotel itself was OUTDATED and very low quality. The staff was very nice, but unfortunately my first night was horrible, I had water bubble in my bathroom wall, the next morning I woke up to a leak that required them to change my room because it was leaking from 603. The shower was nasty and with much needed repairs in both rooms. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE, I never ate the complimentary food because the first attempt they had no bacon and the juices were all watered down, The staff at the front desk was very nice, being there for Mardi Gras the mgmt. wouldn't assist with my mom who was sitting in the front on the bench and allowed other guest to smoke in the non-smoking area without following there own \" No Smoking\" sign. The water pressure in the shower was VERY low and I went from a good view with two large windows down to one corner window with no view, the safe in the room didn't work, depending on which Housekeeper it was you barely received enough washcloths. My aunt who was also their has stayed in other holiday Inn and she is states this was the worse, she had water backing up every time she took a shower and the same with very low water pressure. I want a refund /credit something this was horrible!!!!

The hotel is a little tired. It needs to painted, freshened up. The staff wasn’t very welcoming. On our arrival, there were two people at the desk and at least 4 groups waiting to check in. Only one person behind the desk was checking people in,
The air was out in our room. Maintenance came the first night, but it didn’t help. The next day we were told the whole building was out. It took the whole day to repair. They did get it repaired.
The breakfast was very low with many items out on our first morning. The second morning, there were no plates. No yogurt and the drink machine was not working. It was not a breakfast advertised.
Overall, would not recommend!

From the super friendly staff (Charmaine and Ruby) at the front desk …Who went of their way to make sure we were taken care of our whole stay…to the evening staff Andre at the front desk and Adam the GM who made sure we were having a blast. We could not get to our Hotel because of events going on that we were not aware of. Guy told us to park and walk with all our luggage there was no where to park without paying $25 plus and walking a few blocks with all our stuff in tow. I asked to cancel and we are still being charged $193.

The room was neglected - broken blinds both of them/broken safe inoperable/no extra pillow or blanket and only two towels. Shower had hair and shoe footprints in on arrival. Breakfast was. 2/10 most items not available and hot items cool. Hallways were not vacuumed over 48 hr stay and littered.
Front desk staff was short when we inquired about any thing about our room including directions.
Sadly I am an IHG member and have nervous experienced another IHG this badly.

The downfall was when I had to pay $177 for a boot on my vehicle for parking in the hotel parking Because NOBODY told me when I CHECKED IN that They Needed MY License Plate!! That THE HOTEL needed to Put MY License plate into the System to Prevent ME FROM Getting A Damn BOOT ON MY CAR!!!!!!! This Was The DOWNFALL of THE entire Otherwise Perfect trip! I’m so Disappointed and Disgusted! $177 because THE HOTEL FAILED to Tell ME They Needed to LOG IN MY LICENSE PLATE WHEN I CHECKED IN at THE HOTEL!!!!

The room had a lot of broken items, including the door and door locks (safety issue), poor condition of the bathroom, no lights in the shower, broken toilet seat, broken toilet paper holder. The room was not very clean at the time of check in - sticky cup stains on the side tables, stinking and hairy unclean towels, greasy remote control, broken hvac vent in the ceiling. The hotel also had a fire alarm going during our stay which meant we had to walk through the exit stairwell with a very unsafe outlet outside the hotel- upon arrival downstairs in the lobby, the front desk staff said it’s false alarm. No apologies whatsoever from any staff members for all of these inconveniences that were reported to them.

Building is poorly maintained. We were there during a cold snap. You had to wear a coat to have breakfast, the temperature in that area was in the 50's. The window in the room was not installed correctly. You could see daylight between the window frame and the wall, it had never been caulked. The towel rack in the bathroom had one side that had come loose and there were deep gouges in the wall which had never been repaired. The bed was one of those weird ones that are ridiculously high so that adults have to climb into it.

First off, the staff were all very accommodating, but the property is really in need of an upgrade. The first room (310) was windowless and barely large enough to walk around the full size bed. definitely no place for luggage. The TV didn't work. We requested a change to a larger room with a window. We got charged for an \"upgrade\" to a slightly larger room (201) with a \"window\" that looked out to an internal hallway. The flooring was coming up, the bathroom fixtures were loose, the water in the sink was super hot, while the shower was lukewarm, the safe didn't work, the deadbolt didn't work, the room door had to be slammed shut in order for it to lock. The bed and pillows were comfortable. We picked this location because of the proximity to the WWII museum and hop-on-hop-off bus route, which was very convenient. We wouldn't visit again.

The room, although small with a strange layout (included two steps down to the bathroom and entrance), was okay but we were not told in advance about the stairs and I do walk with a cane. The front desk and parking situation were not acceptable. The front desk clerk took our car and license information. She gave us confusing directions to the parking lot and after two attempts to locate it we found it. We knew it was paid parking but the front desk had our credit card and the front desk clerk said she would give the vehicle information to the parking company so we assumed everything was taken care of. We asked about something to put in the car to show we had paid for parking but she said it wasn’t necessary. When we returned home from our cruise we had a $104 parking ticket from the parking company. We contacted the hotel by email about this situation but they never responded back to us. The $40 parking charge from the hotel now has appeared on our credit card statement, which we are contesting. What should have been $40 for one night’s overnight parking effectively turned into $144.
