*WARNING* employees come into your room without notice or warning. We checked in at close to 9pm Friday night and went about our day at about 8 am the next morning to view the sights. Upon arriving back we noticed things have been moved in our room and 1 wash rag along with one towel removed. Hotel services had came in to “clean” the room that we had spent less than 12 hours in. But left in the bathroom was towels on the floor and wash rags in the shower. This felt more like they came in to try and find a reason to potentially charge us more rather than actually clean especially considering the shower and tub were disgusting. They advertise a lobby with coffee and snacks only to find the vending machines completely empty and the “coffee” dispenser look as though it had stuff growing on it. The smells inside the lobby, at the check in counter, and the room were close to the smell of spoiled shrimp and bad body odor. I mentioned hotel services coming into our room without notice and didn’t even properly clean and was told “that’s just the way we do it here”. I made them aware there should be signs posted and notice made on the website people would be in the rooms after we left. Our privacy felt completely invaded. The desk clerk got very defensive and raised his voice stating “stays over 24 hours require hotel services to come into the room”. There may have been 5 cars max in the parking lot the entire time we were there they were not having a shortage of linens. NEVER AGAIN.

Like the price. Wanted 2nd floor, but got 1st floor...didn't feel as safe for woman alone. My room had one of those doors that adjoins to the next room and has a bolt lock. For over 3 hours that evening I heard loud party music with noise and ladies shouting and singing, but was probably the TV in room next door. Could hear from crack under door bottom and side as if it was in my room! A man was in the room who kept yelling out things out loud while listening/watching, and sneezing, etc. It made me uncomfortable. He awoke at 5:50 a.m. put on light which could be seen under adjoining door and I heard him go to bathroom. He left while I was getting ready, I think. Good thing is that he did go to bed by 10:45 or 11:00, and I did sleep really well and for that I am very grateful!

Was just looking for a place to sleep one night with dogs. Room looked clean at first glance but the mirror looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in a year plus fingerprints all over everything that could have been wiped off. Then right when I was heading to bed a cockroach came out from behind the smoke detector. Then saw 2 more before leaving. Definitely wouldn’t stay again.

The room was clean & quiet. No carpet which is a big plus for me. The room had minimal furnishing - there was no bedside chair or a table to eat at. Not crazy about having to park so far from our room, front parking lot and have to go through the reception area and walk out the back to the room. The bed was VERY FIRM, felt like I was sleeping on a box springs covered with a sheet. Even tho it was clean & inexpensive I would not return primarily because of the hardness of the bed and the parking situation.

The staff was very nice
The nighttime desk clerk was very helpful and made check in very easy and fast. VERY SAD THE POOL IS NO LONGER OPEN FOR THE SUMMERS WHEN WE COME BACK TO MOUNT JACKSON VA. They can do a little more for breakfast and have real coffee all day. The machine they use is cold after 2 minutes. Other than that everything is great.

This is my GO TO stopping point on my regular trips from Georgia to New Hampshire. The rooms are basic but always clean and comfortable. The desk clerks are friendly and professional and are willing to accomidate my request for a 1st floor room facing the parking lot. Easy on and off access to the highway. For my needs it's practically perfect.

First room I had was missing remote for TV so they changed my room. Second room had TV and refrigerator working fine but dead bugs on rug. Bug service had sprayed recently but not all dead bugs cleaned up. Staff was very nice and acted quickly to resolve all problems. Location very convenient and hotel was quiet at night to sleep.

It is definitely a no-frills location. I had 2 tiny bars of soap, no shampoo or anything, which is ok with me, but considering the low cost, that's what they have to do.

Had a problem with the television which the front desk attended to very promptly, very pleasant lady at the front desk.

Room was clean but the mattress is just on a board and every time you touched it, it moved six inches , which was very annoying

At first, it was convenient right off of 81, but it's a hotel where all construction workers stay.
Dogs running in the Courtyard, said there was a pool. It wasn't open.
The paint peeling off the walls in the shower. The door going in was hard to get open.You had to really push on it.And bang it wouldn't stay there again?I guess that's what you get for sixty dollars

1. The room was relatively clean for a Motel 6. That's the only good thing.
2. BUT, The door lock card reader was held on with BLACK TAPE, and you had to pull on the door so hard to get it to latch when leaving the room, that it shook the door frame. We DID NOT have confidence on security of the room.
3.ALSO, The lights by the beds, both flickered randomly, and occasionally when flickering, the TV went off also. We were concerned for safety, electrically, and fire. This was night before we were leaving. We reported to the front desk upon checkout, the next morning.
4. AND Finally, The POOL was CLOSED, still had the WINTER COVER in place. We did NOT see this posted on the travelocity site, upon booking, NOR were we notified after, that it closed after booking. We were looking forward to using the pool. There was not even a sign at check in desk, nor was it mentioned by check in staff. Upon check out, this didnt seem to be a concern when brought to attention of check out staff person.
5. I realize this is just a Motel 6, BUT, the door lock and lights(electrical) , should not be taken lightly at any establishment. ALSO , staff could have at least mentioned the Pool closing, or NEVER being open, when we checked in. Staff did not seem to be concerned.
** WE WERE NOT PLEASED WITH OUR STAY !
** I do have pics of door lock with black tape, and Pool winter cover, if anyone at Travelocity would like to see.

The bed was very uncomfortable. The bathroom wasn’t clean. We weren’t able to get to sleep til late due to the couple next door fighting and making a lot of noise. The pool wasn’t opened which was false advertising. I do believe that you have a lot of regular live ins on the property which isn’t good for business.

If you need two beds and a bathroom this is a good motel. There are no frills. There wasn't any shampoo or conditioner just two small packages of bar soap. There was no alarm clock. There was a little refrigerator, tv and dresser. But it was exactly what we needed for a very reasonable price.

Hotel.com description said breakfast available. The Denny's, which was the restaurant associated with this hotel, closed quite a while ago. So, no breakfast. Also, photo of pool shown in listing, but pool also closed ages ago. No coffee pot in room. Towels like sandpaper. Except for the roach that kept me company in the bathroon, room was clean. Hotel itself is in need of major updating and renovations.
