This motel was chosen because it is about a mile from the Luray Caverns entrance. The motel is two story, easy drive in, and easy to find. The facility is modern, well kept, and the room was clean and the bathroom facility is excellent. The heater worked fine, which was very helpful as it was cool when I arrived. The room was on the second floor, which was a walkup with safety stairs. But infirmed and older folks will have trouble unless I missed the elevator. There is a breakfast restaurant on the site, with great food, friendly service,
and reasonable price. If I came back I would definitely stay there. Not a great choice for travelers coming through a main road as it is about 20-30 minutes of main highways. But for Luray area visits it is perfect and affordable. No grounds no swimming pool, just very good sleep and morning eats.

It’s motel style, I was a little suspicious at first because the pictures didn’t show that. But it was a good enough place to stay in for a couple of nights. We didn’t do the breakfast, overall the hotel was clean, when I first walked in there was an empty plastic thing where the soap would be in the shower.

This property was something else! They checked me in, took my ID and credit card and then forgot I was there. They called at 10pm the first night and came banging on my door at 9:30pm the next night, still confused as to the fact that I was even there!! I have two young children and didn’t appreciate them being woken up both nights. We paid for 3 but left after 2! The tiles outside are meant for indoor. My children were slipping and falling all over the place when it rained. The day we left I noticed a small blue circle on my mirror that wasn’t there before. I can only assume it was some kind of camera because what kind of mirror has a blue circle light on the bottom? To be clear this was in NO way a modern motel that would have had any kind of fancy tech mirror. This was simply hung in the wall or so we thought. Sketchy.

I got to the hotel at 7 pm and no one was in the office. I called the number on the door and it sounded as though who answered had just woken up. The man said someone would be right over. After 15 min no one had shown up. I had bought dinner to eat in my room. I ended up having to eat in my car waiting so my food wasn’t completely cold. I called again and no one answered. I called a 3 rd time and a woman answered and said someone should be there shortly. A woman finally showed up and apologized for taking so long. It took me 25 min to get into my room from the time I arrived at the location. NOT HAPPY

We didn’t expect much from the hotel, but there wasn’t much to choose from in Luray. It was an older hotel, but it was nicely kept. Breakfast was not included, but a LOT of people (seemingly locals) showed up to eat. We had places to be, so we didn’t partake.

If there was one complaint we had, it was that the heat wasn’t on in the room. Being that it was 30 degrees outside, that was brutal. There were two heaters in our room though, so in about an hour we were up to temp. The bathroom didn’t warm up until the next morning.

As mentioned by others, the mattresses were on the firm side. Not rock hard, but firmer than my preference.

It was a good stay, and we made the best of it. We would stay again if we were in the area.

There was an empty box of tampons behind the bathroom door, and the sheets had many, many stains. The room felt quickly cleaned as there was (what I hope) is beard hair behind the sink.

It’s located conveniently in town next to an Italian restaurant which was good. But the room itself didn’t give off cleanliness.

We arrived around 9pm and there was no one present in the lobby. It took a few minutes and finally a lady came in the building from smoking a cigarette in a parked car in the parking lot. Once we left the lobby to go to the room, a guy was outside the door asking if he could have our receipt from checking in. There were also random people hanging out around lobby and parking lot at all hours during our two nights there.

This is definitely a get what you pay for location. Room was okay but definitely misleading by photos listed on site.

We clearly could’ve changed hotels but the other options available in the proximity were also pretty outdated and appeared to offer the same “experience”.

We made the best of our spontaneous weekend getaway but will most likely not be staying in the area again.

The town is very charming. Parking was convenient, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Restaurants were within easy walking distance. The building is quite old, which added some character, but the walls were thin, hallway lighting harsh even with blackout curtains, and the bathroom and beds were not very clean. Unfortunately, there were also many bugs in the room.

There were bugs coming out of the shower drain and the room had an odor. The beds were uncomfortable and there was a dead bug smashed on the wall. After seeing the bugs in the shower I didn’t use the shower. 0/10 will not recommend. Told the staff and not even a discount or any kind of a refund was offered.

We had a man come in our room unannounced. He used a key. My daughter was standing with only a towel on. He was given our room number to spray for bugs. He didn’t knock or anything. Not only is this unsafe, I also have to wonder what kind of bugs he was spraying for.

The photos and description of this establishment were very deceiving. Please be aware that this is a MOTEL. You can tell that upgrades were completed on the room, however, quality control was lacking. Only 3 of the 4 lightbulbs over the bathroom mirror worked, the towel bar had been ripped off the wall and never replaced, the shower head was falling out of the wall, and dust in the room was so thick you could write in it. Additionally, the walls were paper thin, so be prepared to hear EVERYTHING that's going on with your neighbors.

The room itself seemed like it had been cleaned. However there was a definite mold / damp Oder as soon as you enter the room. The air conditioner Wes EXTREMELY loud. The are outside is loud as well. In the morning I realized why the room smelled as it did there was black mold and dirt all over the air conditioning unit! Eight hours later I am still coughing and can feel it. Awful! The refrigerator also makes lots of noise. I don’t believe the carpets have been cleaned in quite some time do to noticeable dirt picked up on my socks. Gross!! Shower and toilet area had some water damaged on wall and door so the door didn’t close properly.
In all I wouldn’t recommend staying there. Pay the extra 50 for a better place across the street. IMO

The condition of some items was definitely in need of updating. There is a coffee maker, fridge and microwave and plenty of closet space. We arrived with a family of 5 and were a bit shell-shocked at the dinginess of the room and the musty smell, which we attributed to the AC being off. But the mustiness stayed and my husband said it was actually more like smoke, which sounded right. The beds were fine, although the headboard had broken off from the wall so there was a visible piece of broken piece of wood that should have been repaired, and the bathroom floors were not super clean - baseboards had never been dusted and grout was all black (except at the areas near the wall which were less traveled by). Our stay was fine, although the photos do make them seem nicer than it was in person.

We walked in, spent five minutes. Tried not to touch anything once we saw the first indicators of filth. Documented with photos and left. It was absolutely awful. Huge wad of hair in an unclean toilet, tile in sink area filthy, shower floor gross and had debris on it. Brown crud in the corner of the toilet area and smelled like urine. Worst of all was the beds. One smelled like pee, the other had yellow stains on comforter and absolutely covered in unknown stains on the “mattress protector”. On arrival there was an ozone machine running and a smoke smell in the room. Within a couple minutes, office staff came to retrieve the machine. On check in, another guest was complaining of unresolved cleaning issues from the day before. A word to the wise: keep driving even if you’re tired. Don’t stop here. We were scared that our pillows had touched theirs. We did not want our blanket in that bed. We would rather sleep on the sidewalk outside the room than ever climb into bed here. Even though we were exhausted, we walked out and immediately drove to Woodstock to a different, clean hotel. Never had to do that before in my life. This quality inn needs a serious deep clean and staff training before renting again.

I was disappointed with this motel. The 1room smelled as if no one had been in there for a month or more. There were no amenities since they put the stuff on the walls. Dont mind the shampoo or conditioner but a small soap for body wash. At sink there was no soap just another shampoo dispenser. No body lotion of any size. One of the comforters had red ink or something on it and for a second I thought it was blood Terrible small pillows. We also had grasshoppers in the room. As for the pool, it was very cloudy, no offer of towels, so we used the shower towels. No problem with that, except when housekeeping called if we wanted service the next day, I asked for xtra towels and an extra pillow. After I answered several questions as to why I needed towels and an extra pillow, she said well you have 2 pillows for each person. There were 4 of us. I just said I neededan extra one for my husband. Her answer was ok ill get you more towels but I'll have to look in the back for another pillow. End result was towels no pillow. Also at the pool very little seating. Definitely needs sprucing up as does the entire motel. The restaurant next to it, was a bit expensive especially since it's a part of the motel, not a separate company. So in the end, if you are 1 person maybe 2, not a super bad place to stay for a night, but not for a family for more than 1 night.

Went with my brother and his family, sister and her family and my Mom. We had three rooms. Only one was a bit unclean. Moldy bathroom ceiling, light plate missing and stained sheets. However they were extremely receptive and changed out that room for another which was good 👍. Wonderful place for the price. The restaurant has delicious Breakfast, the bowl was my favorite!

When entering the room it had a strong odor of mildew/mold/smoke. There appeared to be a mold stain at the door and in the bathroom. I was awoken to a bug crawling on me in the bed while I was sleeping.
Not very clean at all.
