Served the purpose for a quick overnight stay. For the most part the room was clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable, shower was good. Could use new pillows and extra towels. Little shelf in shower was broken and desk chair was torn. Lamp shades were frayed and worn. So overall could use a bit of updating. Staff was friendly and check in was easy.

I’m very disappointed with my recent stay at the Red Roof Inn. On the day of checkout, housekeeping entered our room *before* 11 a.m.—well before we had actually checked out. This was a clear violation of our privacy and left us feeling rushed and unwelcome.

It worked for what we needed. Beds and shower for one night during lacrosse tournament. Wouldn’t choice if more than 1 or two nights. Less expensive than other hotels in the area. At least it was relatively clean. Lamp shade was broken and sink faucet was loose.

The exterior of the hotel, as far as stairways or a bit shabby but the overall room was very clean and well maintained. We were in a room at the back of the hotel and at about 3:00 and 5:00 in the morning there was an individual who was running back and forth on the second floor blurting out loudly strange phrases which had me concerned that someone was outside who had possibly done narcotics. I'm not sure about the area as it was her first time ever staying there. When it was time for us to check out everything seemed okay and we left safely but that had me a little nervous at 3:00 a.m. in the morning. Overall, the hotel front desk gentleman was extremely nice and the room itself was very clean and comfortable.

Door lock was broken and swipe key did not work- guy at front desk had to let me in with a key and said there was nothing he could do and didn’t have another room for me- when I got back from dinner I had to call his phone to get him to come open my door and let me in- I had to leave at 6am and after shutting the door I remembered I forgot something in room- I called phone number many times with no answer and no one answered office door when I rang bell for 10 minutes- pathetic what I had to deal with!!! No One was attending the office where the security cameras were. I had to call a number on the door. Person came out of 2nd floor room and shambled down to the office. Once in the office all I could do was smell the overwhelming scent of old oil and Patchouly. I presented my license for identification confirmation and he took a copy of it! the actual room was which was suppsed to be a king suite was actually a queen room and in atrocious conditiion. Safety lock was removed from the door, peeling paint, mold, peeling furniture, lamp shades falling off, floors were so absolutely gross! YUCK. This place is run down and unkempt. RedRoof & Hotels.com refused to let me out of reservation and still charged me. Let me tell you I did not walk out I RAN out left the keey in room and found somewhere safer and cleaner.

Very clean room and friendly staff. Just a coupke issues that i had. First the AC did not work. Tried everything, but could not figure out how to get it to turn on. Second, the smoke detector was missing. And third, tv never operated. Other than that, it was a comfortable stay for 1 night.

Checking in experience was in a dirty smelly vestibule. Staff was not present late afternoon and had to call a number for service. When he arrived he was not friendly at all. Dirty sidewalks along the property to get into the rooms. Dog walking area was impossible to walk my dog because it was covered in poop and no bags available to pick up after pets. Thank GOD I always bring my own.

There was a horrible smell when I entered my room which eventually I got used to. I think it was just cleaning solution. The room was outdated and the linens were worn and need to be replaced. I did not feel safe however everything was fine. I definitely paid too much for what I got.

on the 2nd day of stay I called to request the room get cleaned and was told ok. But when we returned at night it was not cleaned. On the 3rd morning I requested the room be cleaned and was told ok but when we returned in the afternoon it was not. So I requested again and was told ok. But when we returned at night it was not. The 4th morning I asked again and was told on extended stays they normally only clean every 3 days, not daily. I said but yesterday was our 3rd day and they did not clean it even though I asked twice. He apologized and said that was because on my 2nd stay the hotel was full and so they were very busy on my 3rd day cleaning so many rooms (except mine). This was our check out day and I asked for at least clean towels and more coffee packs to make coffee which they brought in 15 minutes. I have never paid $140/night for a room that was not cleaned with new towels and coffee every day. Much less after 2 requests in the same day that fell on deaf ears. I guess it's a sign of the times and to be expected because this was the cheapest hotel in Freehold. I did not notice on Hotel.com when I booked that it did not include daily cleaning and fresh towels.

It’s not the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in but awfully close. When we arrived at reception to check in, the door was locked and there was a sign in the window with a number to call. We apparently interrupted the dinner of the very nice gentleman who showed up and checked us in. The best thing about the room was that it had hardwood flooring, a decent television, a microwave and fridge with freezer. But there were ants in the bathroom, the shower doors kept coming off the track, mildew or mold stains leaking from the shelf that held the soap, peeling paint on the bathroom ceiling, towels that were just one step above thin rags, caked dust in the corners and stains on the bedding. Oh and by the way - it was not cheap. I did not have very high expectations but I didn’t want to spend any time in that room for any reason except to sleep and sleeping the first night was really hard.

There was a horrible smell in the room, ceiling in shower was chipped and peeling, no heat in bathroom. The door frame in bathroom was elevated with broken tile pieces. So I decided I didn't want to stay the whole night I went to leave and I rang the bell several times and waited over 10 minutes to get someone to give the room key. It looks like he was a sleep in one of the rooms he came out of in the above area.

I had a wonderful experience with my family while I was in the middle of a long and exhausting move. My room was not only clean, but the beds were extremely comfortable and it was obvious everything was definitely just upgraded. A bonus-my dog was welcomed.
