This place was beautiful! The breakfast was great and beautiful!They even left a flower in our room . The staff was so cheerful and emphasized that if we needed anything to please let them know. We actually didn't need anything, they thought of it all.

My second stay is better than the first.. Unfortunately, something went wrong in the original room. The front desk was quick to upgrade my room for me. Great customer service 👏 👌 👍. I was very happy with the upgrade. If I could say 1 thing about the Inn. The water pressure in the shower needs to be stronger,but other then that I am looking forward to my next stay 🙂

One of the cleanest hotels I' ve ever stayed at. Definitely a Revolutionary War Colonial style vibe throughout. Bedsheets soft and clean. Bath towels as well. Bathroom was spic & span, no water spots on anything. No stray hairs in the tub or on the floor. The only negative was a slight sulphur odor in the tap and bath water. Ample shaded parking and firepit area for evening congregating. Would stay there again and again.

We had a decent stay. All staff members we interacted with were very kind. Lobby is cozy, outside is pretty. Appreciated that they allow dogs for a reasonable fee. The room was clean but felt like it could use some updating. We slept very well in the beds. When you first sit down they don't seem like they will be comfortable but they actually are. And lots of pillow options! I feel like there was a pillow for all preferences. The HVAC system does rattle quite a bit if turned up high. The only real complaint I had (and I did not bring this up, because what is staff going to even do about it?) was the smell of the water. Very strong sulfur odor from the sinks and shower. Otherwise, good stay overall. It was very quiet there. The breakfast is fine if you just want something quick like bagels/toast, etc. There's no hot/cooked foods, and we opted for something else two of the three days, but it's good enough to just grab something to get your day going. We didn't spend a ton of time there since we were visiting family but overall it seemed like a nice place and the price was more reasonable than where we usually stay when we're in town.

The number one reason that I come back to stay again is to enjoy seeing the staff who give 100% for their guests every time. They are gracious...accomodating...a joy to connect with...
The hotel itself is spic and span..
The rooms are comfortable and equipped with the necessities you need. It reminds me of places I have stayed in in Austria. Your choice G or breakfast could be bagels, toast, Waffles, yogurt, oatmeal,fruit, juice...etc...pick and choose...eat it there or bring it back to your room.
It is pet friendly! It is near Delicious Orchards, and there are many choices for eating including the Colts Neck Inn!
Come sit a spell...relax...enjoy!

A/Cs are old and made a lot of noise! So it's difficult to keep it ON at night. And also, beds, at least the queen one we have in our room, clearly have the shape of people sleeping there in one side, so you kind of sunk in that; it's not very pleasant to sleep in

Awesome! Even better than we anticipated! But, then...we've known that the Colt's Neck Inn has been a favorite in the area for decades.
We needed a pet friendly overnight that would also make us comfortable! It was a no brainer.
The atmosphere is so welcoming...the staff...Betty Ann and Remy especialy...gave us the Gold Treatment. Loved the atmosphere...the opportunity to relax and the kindness and concern shown. We loved it so much that we are staying again for a few days just to relax after our family of friends gathering. We used to live in the area and now live near the Blue Ridge Parkway in Va.
Loved it! Recommend it! Thank you to all the staff for all your care!

The room was clean and spacious. The only complaint about the room was ants. I went to the front desk and was offered bug spray and to leave a note for the morning staff. I had Lysol so I didn’t bother but when they were there the next day I went back and they thankfully had a plant based one. I was traveling with children one being a toddler. The water smelled a little funny but the hotel might not be able to control that. Breakfast wasn’t extensive but it worked so you don’t go hungry. Staff was friendly and they even had complimentary glasses of wine in the lobby one night. We were out most of the day so we didn’t get to see what was around the hotel but there were a couple decent food options. Overall I’d stay again if in town for the same event next year.

Upon checking in, there was no one at the front desk. I rang the bell that was provided for use because I could hear talking and laughing but no one was at the desk. Someone came out to assist me to check in, and I was placed in the room that was in the lobby area, with the communal coffee bar set up right outside my door. Before I could even ask, I was immediately told that the hotel was booked and I could not switch my room. I spent my stay being bothered at all hours with people talking in the lobby, people using the coffee bar. Will not be returning.

The Colts Neck Inn Is nostalgic, it has the look of the past, while incorporating the present. The inn is located against Route 34 and County Road 537, the intersection is loud and busy. My room was up against the highway, it was not tranquil, it was anxiety ridden, and falling asleep impossible. The room was cold, no carpets around the bed, lament flooring, the bathroom had marble flooring, the heat was limited, unless you turned it on HIGH. A beautiful entrance way led to cold modern rooms. The person above me had huge, loud feet, the refrigerator made popping noises. I felt unwelcomed.

The grounds unkept, the outside of the building in need of repair. It lost it's luster. I remember it well in the past, as I traveled Rt 34 a lot.

The price of the room was fair.

I arrived at 1:53PM, no early check in was granted and the staff was just plain weird.

Breakfast was OK.

Overall weird vibe.

Our stay was wonderful! The staff was friendly and the inn was clean and very nice.Our room was on the side of the building that was by the main road, so it was a little noisy. But, the window air conditioning blocked out the noise from the road, so we slept well. The beds were comfortable and the continental breakfast was fine. The Colts Neck steakhouse next door was amazing. We enjoyed our stay!

hotel was nice, staff pleasant, but room had window air conditioners which allowed cooler air into room from side vents and too much light as window shades only covered the actual glass. I need a lot of darkness to sleep well, so this was a personal problem. breakfast was adequate. This was a very clean hotel but has aged without a lot of attention to details.

The staff was wonderful. The room had some issues but the staff tried to help fix them. The parking lot was tricky to get into. Breakfast was nice although not wonderful it sufficed. We only stayed for one night. The room size was good and it had a microwave and mini fridge.

The breakfast was rwally good. Tons of options for a continental style. The ac was good once i figured it out. The room was vwry clean and terribly cute. Thw wholw hotel was vwry well decorated and tons of little amenities everywhere. Like the free bike rentals, the little dog treats, lollipops for kids, a little community room with vending machines for snacla, books, games and tables to relax at. All in all would highly recommend thia place. And we qill definitely be back

I really like this old fashioned hotel. I’ve stayed here four times. They make a real effort to make travelers feel at home. The rooms are a little antiquated but I think that adds to the charm. Breakfast is limited to cold items and what you can toast.

This place is quaint and quiet. I believe a small owned business. It is a bit dated. The room was cozy. I would say walls were a bit thin so could hear upstairs and next door guest. Breakfast consisted of bread goods, Eggo waffles, cereal, instant oats packets, and coffee. Staff were polite.

All in all a lovely stay. It was too warm in our room, couldn't shut the heat off at first. Sleeping with the windows open was noisy though. Ask for a room away from the road/ intersection.

Decent stay. Friendly staff. The location of our room was adjacent to the highway and you could hear a lot of loud engines in the evening. Then on the second night the guests upstair made for a noisier night as you could hear every step they took. All in all we still got a decent night sleep as things quieted down by midnight. Room was a nice size. Older decor and a slight musty odor. Breakfast was breads and cereals, no complaints as it was free. Only went for a slice of toast on the first morning. Some restaurants and shopping nearby but a larger selection is 20 minutes away.

I really liked this room. It’s not fancy is not new. This room will tell you a story. This room will make you feel like old times . The staff is ok I just saw one person and that’s it. He gave me what I needed and recommended me a place to eat so no complaints. Breakfast they had the basic BUT NOT BAD AT ALL. Bagels, French toast, pancakes, cream cheese , orange juice and hot coffee. The air conditioning perfect works well.

We had a wonderful time the room was spotless and the inn was so cute and cozy , the staff was so friendly ! And we got to see “Mr pickles “ the outside cat we we arrived, we booked on Valentine’s Day and it was cute and decorated with a complimentary glass of wine in lobby. Now that being said I had some user error I believe when booking so I requested when I booked online rose petals in room and champagne… on there instagram it says you can request that but when you book online with hotels.com the staff didn’t get message so I recommend calling the hotel if you have a request like that I’m sure they would have accommodated … my only “real” complaint was the mattress it was definitely low quality and uncomfortable I was in a standard kind so maybe the suites have better mattresses ? If we just had a comfortable mattress the trip would have bin perfect! ( the history of the place is really cool too )

This hotel perfectly represents a country getaway. The staff is friendly, the location is close to restuarants, coffee and ice cream along with other cute shops as well as only 20 minutes from so many amazing towns in NJ. This hotel is not fancy schmancy, but its not supposed to be, it is safe, charming, and very comfortable with lots of free parking.
The rooms are spacious enough and it even has a small workout room on the first floor.
We will totally stay here again.
