The room was nice and clean. The staff were friendly. It was just me and my dog. I reserved this hotel because I was attending a 3-hour wedding reception in Lake Como and they were dog friendly. However, their pet policy, which is not available on their website, stated pet guests cannot be left unattended in the room. I didn’t find this out until I checked in. This meant I couldn’t eat in the restaurant or leave her for a few hours to attend the event. I had to scramble to find another option for my dog. She is well-behaved, potty-trained, and is not a barker. With me just traveling, I didn’t have another option to have someone stay with her in the room. Thankfully, a friend’s daughter who lives in Belmar said she could stay at her house during the party. Otherwise, I would have rated the property a 5.

It was clean and a cool atmosphere in the lobby - with acoustic live music played at night.
But little things bothered me - no shelf in the shower to put soap or razor, small room, no accessible outlet for the bedside table (couldn’t plug in my cpap nor charging for my phone without moving the entire bed).
Also very annoyed that this room cost me $300 off-season, and there was no coffee offered in the room or lobby without paying $5 for a cup of drip coffee. You get free coffee with a $100 hotel room.

The room was unremarkable for the price. Did not have a comfortable place to sit as the lounge chairs were hard to get in and out of and had no padding. Took a long time to simply be provided a shower stool and I had to ask several times after I requested at check in and the request was promptly forgotten. I had to literally stand in lobby to make sure the request would be put in as \"they can't call\" only send a message for this. Big cost for off season with no amenities. I left a pair of earrings behind which the hotel located but then used a third party vendor to arrange return at high cost - they were then lost. I spoke with manager Lauren on the issue and she promised a follow up call I never received. After over a month I was told my earrings could not be located by the vendor. Really bothered me that the property did not care about my issue (never received any follow up from the hotel) after paying so much in off season - you don't even get a free cup of coffee. The beach is not right by the property either. I will not be returning.

We booked a twin room with two double beds. When we arrived our room only had one bed. We were then given another room with the two beds, after unpacking we were told we had been given that room by mistake and were asked to move. The next room we had unfortunately the bathroom was smelly so we had to move again! The fourth room was okay but due to the moves we missed a meeting arranged with friends. I have stayed here before but this stay due to the mix up was disappointing despite the staff apologies.

Hotel fit the bill for an overnight stay. The lobby is neat. The coffee shop is great. The room had some character to it (they are trying to make it hip). Service was okay, if a bit brusque. Pool looked nice enough. Only negative is that the room was tight and felt a little like a hospital. Would be especially good for the younger set.

We were disappointed with our stay. Despite mentioning in advance that we were celebrating our wedding weekend and requesting a higher floor, we were placed on the third floor — the lowest level of the panoramic suites — with a view of dumpsters and AC units. The room felt smaller and less luxurious than advertised, and we didn’t receive even basic touches like the complimentary water on our second night. Overall, it didn’t feel like a $1,000+ per night experience, and the accommodations were far from what we expected based on the photos online.

Easy check in, we were allowed to check our bags to go to the beach before check in. Valet parking was super easy and our car was available 24 hours. Room was bright, clean, and the bed was really comfortable. Nice bathroom with big shower and soap and shampoo were provided. Pool was fun, rooftop deck was incredible. Great time!

There are only a couple of options for vegan and gluten-free food, which is disappointing. The first room they assigned me was a closet near the pool when there was a rager outside. That’s not how I’d want to start my stay. It took maintenance to find another room. When isn’t it the hotel receptionists’ job to switch rooms? Jay from maintence was phenomenal for upgrading my room. Unfortunately, the partying at the hotel wasn’t my scene and I had to leave early

Overpriced. Skimpy toy furnishings in an attempt to look retro 60s, in adequately furnished room. Many rooms are quite cramped. Cheap blinds. Do not keep out the light. No blackout shade. No restaurant. Loud rooftop bar is noisy on upper floors. Why is there a resort fee? Very average swimming pool is just fine, but doesn’t justify the charge. Stay somewhere else.

The worst! Tiny rooms- no access to common areas after 10pm despite rooms size. Staff suggested we go hang out in a park after we paid for two rooms. There was a fire alarm that blared forever and no explanation. They did not answer the text they initiated for customer service at check in. I only wanted to know how to obtain ice- I got none. Valet returned my vehicle with the infotainment screen / radio / and everything attached to the screen broken. I also could not bring my water cup upstairs to salvation bar. Would not recommend
Even purchasing upgrades doesn’t make you a more valuable customer, our upgrades caused them to not be able to effectively check us in so we needed to wait for someone else to assist and that was WITH performing online check in with adding my payment info License picture and selfie. There was no win despite all the potential I chose this hotel for.

I stayed with my wife and 9-year-old granddaughter in their $700+/night corner \"panoramic suite\" (now over $1000/night summer weekends). You could see a sliver of the ocean off in the distance (but a birds-eye view of the dumpsters and garbage trucks right outside and below the window) on one end, and the pool on the other end. I was frustrated by the nonfunctional or missing basic amenities you would expect to find in the cheapest motel, let alone a room like this. There was no lock on the bathroom door which is a real issue when you have an active little girl exploring the room. No vent fan in the bathroom either. The coffee pot was broken, and there's no free coffee in the lobby like most every other hotel has, so I had to buy that and water in the lobby (with the 20% gratuity automatically added). I bought a banana at the lobby for my granddaughter while I was at it, but inside it was black and mushy, way overripe, so I had to throw it out. The television had no Internet and no functioning channels. There was no microwave oven. No paper directory of hotel services or other info - and since the TV didn't work, no info there either. Noisy, rumbling A/C three feet from the edge of the bed. But- at least there was a record player in the room!

Definitely an experience and several blocks from the beach and Asbury Park convention center, as well as restaurants. Valet parking at $35/day was a bummer. Our room was small, but adequate. What wasn't adequate was the water temperature control in the shower. The front desk made a financial adjustment to our bill for this inconvenience. Probably would not stay there next time.

Lobby was cool, but not impressed with room

The lobby was very cute and modern including the bar, coffee bar, and seating. Staff was very friendly and kind during our stay. I like that we had the close option of the diner and bowling alley since it was raining during our whole stay.

My husband and I were greeted with the fact that we unexpectedly had to pay for either parking or valet. The room was very small and the bathroom was unnecessarily large. I'm pretty positive we got stuck in the handicap room which we did not request. I wish we had more room and less bathroom or a bigger shower. Even though it was raining, my husband and I would have still enjoyed the heated pool, but it was closed. I'm not sure I would stay here again mostly because of the parking was inconvenient.

The staff here was absolutely top-notch. They provided me so much information on dining, activities, etc. the property itself is really a boutique style, which I really love. Such a fun and comfortable lobby. The records and cassettes were a delight to look through. The walkable dining options and proximity to the beach is just fantastic. I even saw an antique car show one evening. I truly enjoyed myself and would highly recommend the Asbury.

The shore has changed. All of this construction happening down there so asbury park isn’t as homey as it once was. Not as gritty. That said, we loved the hotel itself. Saw whales from our window. The staff as amazing! Keep up the good vibes! Love the record collection. The food was great and wonderfully priced. There’s a diner attached. Two blocks from the beach. Did I mention how lovely and welcoming the staff was? Lovely time.
