Nice hotel with balcony room and nice amenities including a refrigerator, microwave, hand held shower and magnifying mirror. Fitness center with indoor swimming pool, hot tub, steam room, sauna, hair salon, onsite lounge and dining options are all a plus. Motel section across the street has outdoor swimming pools and beach access and restroom facilities in the pool area is convenient. I visited off-season so the cafe on the motel side was closed but it's located by the outdoor pool overlooking the beach which is nice.

I am putting below what I put in my email to the hotel via the expedia portal:
\"Hello, there are a couple of things bothering me. First, your hotel is marked as an \"Oceanfront\" hotel and that is what I thought I was booking. When we pulled up, I see the hotel is one block away from the beach. I did not say anything when checking in as I did not want to seem like a complainer with my companion so we went about our business. The stay was generally ok but after getting home yestrerday and reviewing my reservation, there is nothing state on my reservation that said I would be a block away. I went and looked at all those beautiful photos online remembering why I booked this hotel, but yet I did not get any of that! no patio facing the water, no outdoor pool, no convenience of having a bathroom a couple steps away from the beach, nothing. yes, the room was ok. The next day when we went down the street to get coffee, I see you have another hotel there, on the beach. Why was I not staying on the Ocean front? We were never told about this at check in. Were there facilities there that we were allowed to use? Does not look like that was the case and yet you are charging us a resort fee. For what? you don't need beach passes after labor day. There are no outdoor grounds in the building we stayed and feel like it was a bait and switch. I feel like we got way less of a product than we were shown on your Expedia listing.

I was disappointed because the hot tub was broken. The mattresses need be replaced. The hotel is due for upgrade. It was fine for a weekend. Point Pleasant Beach is nice and the area. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again.

Our ocean view room was lovely, it was great having a sitting area with our choice of a room with a king bed in one room and a sofa bed in the other. Our only complaint is that the bed was hard and therefore uncomfortable.

Have stayed here multiple times. The location is key. On the beach and a short walk on the boardwalk to ALL that Pt Pleasant Beach has to offer. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Some of the rooms could definitely use a little more TLC for upkeep… (especially for the $ PRICE $ But I understand that it’s a beach front location, so wear and tear is a little more excessive. Overall I will always recommend this location for its convenience, pools, beach front location and its friendly staff.

The room was very disappointing. Housekeeping involved daily towel service and trash. No cleaning or service. Over sink light bulb out for entire 4 day stay. Toilet paper holder broken. AC unit loud and continuous buzzing.

Don’t stay at a place you can’t trust
I don’t trust the hotel after what they did to me! When I got home I saw a charge of 77.12$ taken off my CC that they ask for if something gets broken or theft, etc I asked why last night to Felene and she said to talk to Jaime today 9/5/25 , I called and asked her why is she doing this, you know I gave you the money in cash? I said it out loud! I have cash is that ok? She took the cash and here’s the proof! She gave me change! With coins! And if they were so sure I didn’t give them cash why didn’t they call me in while I was there? It’s because they know I live far away and probably wouldn’t do anything. I will next week, my husband is severely ill. I’m a good guest and person and didn’t deserve that kind of treatment for a pricey room that was very small. That’s not the point. I’m a good honest Christian woman and wouldn’t try to slight them. But they did to me. They said they looked at the cameras, I’m looking at the change she gave me now. The nice thing to do would have been to call me in, show me the film while was there or just admit a mistake was made by Jaime the girl who took the money. Instead Megan the mgr treated me like garbage & I will never step foot in that outdated pricey hotel again except with an officer next week. Please be careful

White Sands is located on the beach with its own beach access. Located close to the boardwalk but far enough away to be quiet, going the week of Labor Day helped.

Carpeted rooms - this property is in the beach - terrible musty smell - recessed lighting - bulbs were out in a few spots including the bathroom lights - the bathroom fan was broken and sounded like a truck driving through the bathroom- the blow dryer did not work and couple of the window shades did not open.i also put a 100 dollar deposit for incidentals and I have not received f it back. Pretty expensive hotel for all these things to be be off.

White Sands is an okay place to vacation. It has an indoor pool and hot tub and an out door pool. It has a nice restaurant also. However, it’s rooms are in need of a renovation. The indoor pool area needs maintenance and upkeep. Overall it needs some TLC.

It’s always a pleasure but i will say time to upgrade the beds on the beach side! Building 100- not comfortable at all :(

This hotel was convenient to the beach and boardwalk. There is a very good restaurant on the property that is also a good dining option after a day on the beach. It is clean and has an onsite indoor pool. However on the day that we had to check out, the alarms went off and everyone had to evacuate. We had to leave that day early so we couldn’t go back to our room to get our chargers and a couple of items left behind because we needed to leave by a certain time. I would not consider this a resort/spa and it is extremely overpriced - added cost on top of room cost for spa facilities which we did not use. We were supposed to have a balcony room but were on the ground floor. Buildings are outdated. After dark, we needed to walk 2 blocks and go to the 3rd floor of another building to get ice. Bright side, we were steps from the beach.

The room was adequate, VERY firm beds. Watch the shower curtain rod, they're not permanently installed. Overall a nice place regardless of these little things.

Upon check-in there was an unidentified brown liquid all over the carpets. It ruined our socks when we walked through it. After I cleaned it up it was identified to be coffee. My son sat in it, ruining his shorts. The indoor pool filter wasn’t running when we tried to go in, so the water was still and there were bandaids and hair floating on the surface. Our bathroom door hit the toilet when you tried to open it, and there was no where to hang wet towels- not a hook in sight. We checked out a night early because it was so gross. (Our reservation was only for two nights to begin with.) it’s a shame because it’s a nice area.

This is my second stay at the White Sands. We love it because it’s quiet and close to the boardwalk. The beach is private which is very nice and easily accessible from the hotel. The pool is also very nice with plenty of space to enjoy.
My only complaint is they take awhile to clean the rooms and while doing so, the walkway seems cluttered and messy.

This was an interesting, convenient, accessible resort. There were two outdoor pools and an indoor pool to enjoying it rained, a private beach, and several on-site food options. It could only have been made better by having a lower end late afternoon food option. The hotel, itself, was beautifully quirky. Walking around, I found neat area such as a library nook and a gate with a mermaid design. The room was spacious and the beds comfortable. I will be visiting here again!

This hotel is all about location. Private beach and two pools were awesome to have and so convenient. We stayed in the building beachside near ice cream store. The entire hotel can use updating. The rooms and bathrooms are very dated especially bathroom at the pool. Our mattress was awful with springs sticking in our back. The air conditioning system does not run continuously so when it comes on, you are freezing to death even with low fan and when its not running, the room is super hot. The cafe closed 2 hours early on Friday which was very annoying. We were in town for a wedding so i am not sure i would stay here again. Expensive price for not so great accommodations.

The mattresses were awful - old school prongs in your booty all night. The hot tub and sauna did not work. And the spa for massages does not exist. This was one of the main reasons I selected this facility for my family and me. Extremely disappointed. Pools were nice and plenty of loung chairs/umbrellas but would be great if one of the bigger pools was adult only (or at least part of the time). Paddywagon transportation service is great! Rooms were super basic, no decor, hole in the wall between the bathroom outlet and wall board, one window so dirty couldn't see out of it, and the door for the room next to us squeaked loudly every time opened and closed which woke us up in the mornings. Areas of the property also need upkeep - peeling paint, areas in need of powerwashing. For the high price they are charging would expect more pristine condition! Also there are add on fees/taxes on top of already high prices.
