PROs: Location, clean, modern, true resort, great staff, pools (outdoor and indoor), spa, proximity to the beach, sunrise view from our balcony, e-wristbands that conveniently serve as room keys and more. Bonus points for the cute towel swans on our bed when we arrived.

CONs: (No actual cons for this resort).
We were only staying over for a night but hope to return for a longer stay in the near future to more fully experience the resort.

Having stayed in a few of the nice properties in Point Pleasant over the years, this one is the best I have experienced. Location is close enough to walk to the rides and boardwalk but just far enough away from the summertime crowds to relax. Proximity to the beach couldn't be more convenient. The staff is positively wonderful, professional, friendly, and very helpful. Overall, this resort is very well thought out, offers amenities beyond other properties in the area. I easily recommend it to anyone searching for a place to stay in Point Pleasant.

Perfect location for a quick getaway. The White Sands is located right on the beach, with two amazing outdoor pools, as well as an indoor pool and spa. Delicious iced coffee was served by an amazingly friendly, hardworking employee at the Sandbar. The place being on site is so convenient for breakfast and lunch. A very easy walk to the boardwalk made my 12 year old twin boys very happy. We will definitely be back!

The room had a wonderful view. HOWEVER, when I search hotels I look for hotels with hottubs. I called and made sure it was working. They said yes. Get there and it is not working. She said I should of asked if it was a jacuzzi. That is not how it is stated on line. I was VERY disappointed. The one thing I wanted. The staff needs to communicate appropriately and state it is not running as it should be.

We had a view of the parking lot but if you looked right, there was the ocean. It was like having ocean front without paying for it. The room was ok. But the convenience to the beach and boardwalk was great. You give a little you get a lot. Also the lounge and bourbon bar and restaurant were very good.

We had an amazing stay at White Sands! The property was well maintained. We arrived early and despite our room not being ready we were able to park and received bracelets for the pool and beach. My daughter loved the pools and it was never overcrowded. The front desk texted us when our room was ready and it was modern, spacious, clean with a balcony overlooking the street. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the White Sands and we are already planning our next weekend here!

The room was beautiful and the view was amazing! My only complaint is that the air conditioner in the room that had the balcony did not work at all. That thing was going non stop but was not blowing out cold air. Due to this the room remained between 78-80 the entire stay.

I went for two days with my son and my grandson, we visit Jensen amusement park. We had a good time. My room was very clean, we had two rooms with king-size beds, which was amazing. The room was nicely painted moldings brand new floors. I was impressed, I would advise to get some type of area two hook, the towels and your bathing suits. There was nothing to hang beachwear., I will say the restaurant are building 50 was very nice. Also, the food was very good, but we were served our food with no utensils, we repeatedly had to ask for straws, utensils, coffee. I seen a few people also ask for jelly for their toast, Chris was OK but was not very attentive… we wanted to eat outside, but the music was very very loud. How could you enjoy breakfast?…. If you’re going to book there for vacation, a lot of the places are closed because they focus only on Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday…. So after 8:00 PM, there’s really nowhere to eat., I had an issue and maintenance came right away and resolved the problem….

We didn’t realize the dunes were present and blocking much of our ocean front room view.
The waves were blocked. Even when we walked up the beach up the dunes we were not high enough. We understand they are necessary.
We are visiting from Florida and formerly from NJ.

We could not get a simple egg breakfast on Sunday at the beach restaurant. Only the buffet was offered. And then it was closed on Monday and Tuesday.
The stairs needed sweeping and the terrace floor needed painting and the rail was moldy.
The staff when asked was very helpful. Front desk cordial and efficient.

First, I’m gonna qualify my response by saying I stayed on a Monday and Tuesday during the second month of June. While I realized they’re not in full swing for the season even though they should be since it’s after memorial day the outside restaurant and coffee shop was not open while I was there. This was one of the reasons that I book this hotel. It would be great to stay on the property to get coffee in the morning breakfast and or lunch, but that was not the case. It should have been explained to us at the time of booking that it would not have been open and might have meant the difference in me booking this hotel. Other than that, the place was ok, a little dated maybe particularly for having the name”resort “ attached to it instead of just “hotel “. I would suggest that the hotel think about putting some kind of hooks or command hooks in the bathroom as there were no towel, racks or hooks to hang any towels or clothing. There was a musty smell to the hotel room. There were plenty of outlets in the room. I thought the pools were well-maintained and they were plenty of lounge chairs by the pool.

This place is right on the beach and they have beach chairs and towels you can use. The office to check in is across the street. After noon, you can pre check in and they tell you they will contact you when your room becomes available. This is not true. They don’t contact you so expect a line at check in time. It’s walking distance to the board walk.

The location is fantastic- beachfront, walk to the boardwalk but enough distance from it that it doesn’t feel chaotic. Check in wasn’t great because we never got a text that the room was ready! Lucinda was one of the nicest and helpful staff members I’ve encountered-
The pools are very nice -3 of them plus a small kid pool. Some tlc needed on screen doors and bathroom fans, etc. but pretty nice for the Jersey shore overall.

The hotel manager and staff were telling us a dozen times that we should have booked from the hotel directly and not use third party services such as Expedia. The clerks at the check-in desk didn’t know how to use their system, took three people to figure out the check in. We stayed one night in one room and other two nights in another room and the staff was very unhelpful - no late checkout or early check in whatsoever. We had a sense that they even enjoyed our discomfort. Having stayed in two rooms, only the ocean view room was nice the other was shabby.

The room was clean and comfortable, we didn't use the pool or hot tub but both looked very nice and well maintained. Dinner at Tradewinds was lovely and the breakfast restaurant was not yet open for the season. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful.
The hotel is close enough to the boardwalk to be an enjoyable walk and the beach was beautiful!

While the location is ideal, the hotel is in desperate need of a complete rennovation if they are going to charge the rates they are charging. The room was beyond filthy, old and run down. No hot water, walking around barefoot was a risk beyond health concerns, and nothing worked (TV, AC, MICROWAVE, COFFEE) until we called for a maintenance person (who was great). Think twice before spending your money at this very old dated property.

Nice hotel with balcony room and nice amenities including a refrigerator, microwave, hand held shower and magnifying mirror. Fitness center with indoor swimming pool, hot tub, steam room, sauna, hair salon, onsite lounge and dining options are all a plus. Motel section across the street has outdoor swimming pools and beach access and restroom facilities in the pool area is convenient. I visited off-season so the cafe on the motel side was closed but it's located by the outdoor pool overlooking the beach which is nice.

I am putting below what I put in my email to the hotel via the expedia portal:
\"Hello, there are a couple of things bothering me. First, your hotel is marked as an \"Oceanfront\" hotel and that is what I thought I was booking. When we pulled up, I see the hotel is one block away from the beach. I did not say anything when checking in as I did not want to seem like a complainer with my companion so we went about our business. The stay was generally ok but after getting home yestrerday and reviewing my reservation, there is nothing state on my reservation that said I would be a block away. I went and looked at all those beautiful photos online remembering why I booked this hotel, but yet I did not get any of that! no patio facing the water, no outdoor pool, no convenience of having a bathroom a couple steps away from the beach, nothing. yes, the room was ok. The next day when we went down the street to get coffee, I see you have another hotel there, on the beach. Why was I not staying on the Ocean front? We were never told about this at check in. Were there facilities there that we were allowed to use? Does not look like that was the case and yet you are charging us a resort fee. For what? you don't need beach passes after labor day. There are no outdoor grounds in the building we stayed and feel like it was a bait and switch. I feel like we got way less of a product than we were shown on your Expedia listing.

Have stayed here multiple times. The location is key. On the beach and a short walk on the boardwalk to ALL that Pt Pleasant Beach has to offer. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Some of the rooms could definitely use a little more TLC for upkeep… (especially for the $ PRICE $ But I understand that it’s a beach front location, so wear and tear is a little more excessive. Overall I will always recommend this location for its convenience, pools, beach front location and its friendly staff.

The room was very disappointing. Housekeeping involved daily towel service and trash. No cleaning or service. Over sink light bulb out for entire 4 day stay. Toilet paper holder broken. AC unit loud and continuous buzzing.
No table lamps. TV was small, maybe 21”.
Litter outside room and parking lot.
Pools nice and easy access to beach.
Unlikely to return.

Don’t stay at a place you can’t trust

I don’t trust the hotel after what they did to me! When I got home I saw a charge of 77.12$ taken off my CC that they ask for if something gets broken or theft, etc I asked why last night to Felene and she said to talk to Jaime today 9/5/25 , I called and asked her why is she doing this, you know I gave you the money in cash? I said it out loud! I have cash is that ok? She took the cash and here’s the proof! She gave me change! With coins! And if they were so sure I didn’t give them cash why didn’t they call me in while I was there? It’s because they know I live far away and probably wouldn’t do anything. I will next week, my husband is severely ill. I’m a good guest and person and didn’t deserve that kind of treatment for a pricey room that was very small. That’s not the point. I’m a good honest Christian woman and wouldn’t try to slight them. But they did to me. They said they looked at the cameras, I’m looking at the change she gave me now. The nice thing to do would have been to call me in, show me the film while was there or just admit a mistake was made by Jaime the girl who took the money. Instead Megan the mgr treated me like garbage & I will never step foot in that outdated pricey hotel again except with an officer next week. Please be careful

Carpeted rooms - this property is in the beach - terrible musty smell - recessed lighting - bulbs were out in a few spots including the bathroom lights - the bathroom fan was broken and sounded like a truck driving through the bathroom- the blow dryer did not work and couple of the window shades did not open.i also put a 100 dollar deposit for incidentals and I have not received f it back. Pretty expensive hotel for all these things to be be off.

White Sands is an okay place to vacation. It has an indoor pool and hot tub and an out door pool. It has a nice restaurant also. However, it’s rooms are in need of a renovation. The indoor pool area needs maintenance and upkeep. Overall it needs some TLC.

This hotel was convenient to the beach and boardwalk. There is a very good restaurant on the property that is also a good dining option after a day on the beach. It is clean and has an onsite indoor pool. However on the day that we had to check out, the alarms went off and everyone had to evacuate. We had to leave that day early so we couldn’t go back to our room to get our chargers and a couple of items left behind because we needed to leave by a certain time. We called the hotel to ask if they could ship what we left in the room. The hotel would not send the chargers back without us paying for a prepaid fedex label which cost $60. We decided that it wasn’t worth it but it put a damper on our stay considering the inconvenience of having to evacuate quickly from our room at 7am in the morning,

I would not consider this a resort/spa and it is extremely overpriced - added cost on top of room cost for spa facilities which we did not use. We were supposed to have a balcony room but were on the ground floor. Buildings are outdated. After dark, we needed to walk 2 blocks and go to the 3rd floor of another building to get ice. Bright side, we were steps from the beach.

The room was adequate, VERY firm beds. Watch the shower curtain rod, they're not permanently installed. Overall a nice place regardless of these little things.
