The property is rundown inside and out. Inside the building there was an odd odor, luckily only in the halls and not in our room.

The mattress wasn’t terrible, the linens were very thin though. The only light for the bathroom also turns on the bathroom vent which was extremely loud.

The only thing we liked was the price. It was an inexpensive room so you get what you pay for I guess. It was nothing more than a bed to sleep in for a night.

The hotel had a very musty feel and smell. We had to sign saying we wouldnt smoke in the room and we walked past two rooms that had smoke smell coming from them.

Check in was good and the gentleman who checked me in was very helpful and polite. When I did the booking on hotels.com I booked a king room but when I got checked in I had to download grade for a double queen bed room and I was the only one traveling this time. I don't know who needs to update their booking stays computer but it needs to be done!!! Plus the bathroom and my room I stayed in was dirty and the carpet was not vacuumed at all

The room smelled so awful. The bed was old and worn out and had big bumps in it, the Blankets stunk.My husband threw it on the floor. They only had a half a roll of toilet paper in there, And my husband had to go get more, we even had to take out our own trash. The towels had yellow Stripes on them where they were hanging for so long,the ice maker had white crud where the ice came out, You'd need a putty knife to scrape it off
there's was no way we were going to get any ice,
We didn't stay the Planned 4 days, we checked out, Needless to say We'll never stay at
another super 8 motel again.

The fist punched hole in the sheet rock wall next to the bed has not been repaired since I reported it for room 118 over a year ago. Though the room was reasonably clean the bed mattress sagged and was very lumpy. Mattress sheet did not fit the bed (too small and not fitted) Rat or mouse turds all over the floor at west entrance to the building. Waffle and syrup tasted so bad is was not edible.

Our tv came with 4 separate remotes; that I had to go individually get that each controlled a separate function on the tv. There were homeless people hanging out by our car everytime we went outside. No shower curtain in the bathroom, even after I asked to to have one brought to our room. Mold on the bed skirt. Highly recommend this hotel👍

The facilities were horrible!!! No towels in the room, dirty washcloth in bathtub, bathtub not cleaned, holes in the walls, broken windows, drapes hanging off rods, no chairs in the rooms. Outdoor parking lot was uneven, holes everywhere. Front desk personnel had no idea what they were doing. All rooms had awful odors, musty or smoking.
Would not recommend to anyone to stay here; look around.

From the outside the property appears abandoned. Inside the smell of dampness and pets. Carpet worn and dirty. Tile cracked. Spider on ceiling. Toliet smelled of urine. No drinking cups in room. Sheets thread bare. Window would not lock, thin dowel rod instead. Beer was left in refrigerator, not okay for a person in recovery.

When I booked the room I didn’t realize it was a smoking room until I checked in. The room smelled awful and the sheets and other furniture had burn marks and holes. Just make sure you look at the details of your room before booking here so you don’t get a smoking one.

Terrible place. Reservation was for a king bed but only had a double bed room for us. Old, smelly, and room was dirty. Mold in bathroom, bedspread had holes, and the morning “breakfast” was pathetic. Torn window screens. Parking lot broken concrete. Dirty and old hall carpet. And it cost $184!! Don’t stay here and we won’t consider a Super 8 if this is an example of what they’re like.

The Price is Right!

I was staying in town for work and this was a very convenient location. Overall, the front desk person was very friendly, the room was cleaned well, but unfortunately, there was a bit of a musty odor, in the room I stayed in had two substantial cracks in the base of the tub that clearly leaks water, and you had to be careful not to cut your foot on it. The bed was actually more comfortable than some of the higher in the hotels I had stayed in earlier in the week and the week before. If you're not looking for anything can see, but want something quiet and comfortable, it's definitely priced right!

Credit card machine wasn’t working so we had to get cash. Remotes for tv don’t work, you have to get right up behind the tv to change channels and even then it doesn’t work well. Whirlpool tub had scum all over it. Sheets and comforter smelt like mold, whole room smelt like mold. Don’t stay here. Worst experience of my life.

When booking this property, I saw no mention of the fact that this property has no elevator. We were placed on the 2nd floor and had to carry all our stuff up stairs. I have two bad knees and stairs are very difficult to navigate, even more so with heavy luggage. Had I known there was no elevator, I never would have considered this property in the first place. The front desk has a sign stating the property was sold out, so there was no hope of changing to a ground floor room. The only thing reasonable about this property was the price, but only in comparison to nicer properties in Ames.

A true pit stop.

It is a Super8 so don't expect it to be nice. Dirty worn carpet. Old linens. Old thread bare blanket peppered with holes. Minimal poor selection for breakfast. Yogurt, cereal and packaged low quality pastries. Would not stay again. We normally stay at much nicer chains like Best Western etc. But we were here for Iowa State grad and prices were sky high everywhere. We needed 2 nights. Total was $360.

I wish I could give this hotel an excellent rating, because the front desk staff was wonderful, the room was comfortable and generally the stay was good. Breakfast was very simple, but if you like yogurt or oatmeal, you're all set.

Unfortunately, the whole hotel smelled faintly like cigarette smoke. Though my room was a non-smoking room, there was a faint odor of cigarettes. For such a small hotel, I would recommend just making the whole thing non-smoking. It's too small of a place for one room to not affect all the rooms.

If smoke doesn't bother you, this is a pretty good place to stay: no frills, for a very reasonable price.

Also, no iron in the room, so press your clothes at home.

The business center is one monitor on a computer tower at a little table in the front lobby. I didn't see a printer. But maybe that's behind the front desk?

This was the absolute worst hotel i have ever stayed at. Upon entering your room youll be greeted with the only positive part with your stay which is that the rooms are maintained at a good temp. However right afterwards youll be greeted by the stench of mold and mildew. The blankets are stained and covered with burn holes. Be sure to bring as few things in as possible as there are cockroaches in the room. Hopefully you dont plan to watch tv because they only have 1 channel. And i certainly hope you dont expected to be spoken to like a human as the front desk/owner is perhaps the rudest man ive ever met. If you are travelling with pets be aware that the owner only considers dogs as pets and will not allow you to enter with a cat. A cat that has been traveling aince it was 5 weeks old and has never damaged anything. I sweep the floor and wipe down all surfaces before leaving and have never received anything but positivity from other hotels however this hotel owner says no because cats are not pets and they could smell. This place is a disgrace to hotels and expedia refusing to give me my money back is an even bigger disgrace.

There was a funky smell in the room that hit the moment we walked in. My husband used body spray to cover it up. The normal shampoo/soap werent supplied which made me question if the room had even been properly cleaned prior since there was a sign out front wanting to hire housekeeping. The breakfast was a total let down than expected. Cereal & yogurt isnt options for everyone so we had to go across to McDonalds

The best part was the fabulous Mexican Restaurant just around the corner - I highly recommend Los Altos! The Mazatlan with crab and shrimp that just melted in my mouth - it was heaven on my plate!

I WAS DISAPOINTED WITH THE GUY STANDING OUT SIDE DOOR ON THE PHONE FOR AN HOUR. ALL THE ROOMS THAT WERE BEING USED WERE IN THE BACK SO ALL THE PARKING WAS THERE AS WELL. THE ROOM WAS NOT VERY CLEAN AND WE WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN. FOR $100 I EXPECT CLEAN CARPETS, FRESH AC AIR AND NICE LINENS.

We were very disappointed in the room, it was damp and had a smell that was a combination of cat pee and mold. The handicap toilet was great to have, and we didn't mind the outdated decor, but the smell was bad. Fortunately I had a bottle of scented hand sanitizer with me that we were able to spray (it didn't eliminate it, but it helped). We couldn't pin point where it was coming from.

Building needs total renovation (it’s falling apart) had to haul bags up 2 flights of stairs, microwave didn’t work, tub drain valve broken, A/C wore out and very noisy, cheap junk blankets on beds, and breakfast is just nothing fit to eat. Spend some money on this or shut it down!
