mixed feelings here. hotel is very outdated, ac was leaking intermittently during my stay. staff was pleasing, tried to accommodate my requests and concerns. the best part is the location, being in little india. there is the century square mall just across the site, then a lot of food and shopping options around the area.

Room smells bad, no ventilation, air-conditioning is very slow, toilet and shower has a very limited space, I have noticed that housekeeping did not wash our cups, poor housekeeping.
The only thing which I think most will agree is that it is near the mall and MRT. And Mustafa center. For those who plan to stay in the hotel, bring along your own bath soap and shampoo.
Toothbrush and toothpaste is also provided at the front desk upon request, as well as hotel sleepers. These things should be automatically provided in the room and not by through request.

Air conditioner was not function well and we were feeling so hot in the room.
However, the water flow from water heater pump was too weak and low.
There was no other available room for exchange anymore thus there may need more improvement on these amenities if unable to change room.
But I like the location of this hotel because it is nearby MRT station.

Hotel is located strategically opposite of City Square Mall and a 5-min walk to the Farrer Park MRT station. The hypermarket Mustafa Centre is also nearby and you can get literally anything there. Don't have anything much to complain about the room except that you can find ants lingering around the fridge but that's not a major inconvenience at all

Location is good. Basic amenities such as space to keep luggage was missing. We booked a family room; they added a bed on the side turning it into a family room leaving absolutely no space to keep suitcases. We had to push the beds together and to the wall to manage some space.

We had an express check-in and check-out which was quite smooth. The staff were very friendly and helpful in arranging me a room for early check-in as well (for my parents). The local surroundings were awesome since it was in close proximity to whatever you need, if you are an Indian. The room and toilet were a bit compact and damp. It would've been better if the towels were washed a bit more properly. Walls were so thin that you can hear every word if they speak in the hallway. Moreover we had noisy neighbors unfortunately who were having a karaoke session with kids late night around 12 to 1AM. Otherwise overall it was a good experience.

Its totally disappointed with the room.Room which i book same on the picture.they gave me the small room (room no.404) with one queen size bed which 2 persons cant share.
When I ask the reception they were saying its Deluxe room. They estimating us very stupid.
They asking me to contact Hotels.com and get details.
I arrived hotel arround 10.30 to10.45 pm after 6. 1/2 hrs flight and it was delay 5hrs to depart. Was so tired and came to hotel.
Expecting have good rest as i booked the room with 2 beds.
But totally put us down. My self and my brother
When I ask they tell refuse to give the room which i booked and they asking me to pay SGD160 if i need that room.

Whats the solution you going to do for me? Are you going to dissapoint many other clients like me? Whats the special offer you promoting and cheat your clients? Make sure to keep proper contract with hotels and promote ?

Meh cheap but you can do better

The place is fine but even at the lowish price it should have been half as expensive. It felt like a low rent hostel. The beds were uncomfortable cots, there were ants everywhere, the A/C barely worked, and no windows opened at all. The little India neighborhood is great though.

I booked 2 rooms for my friends when they visited sg. But the room conditions are way too bad. The bed and blanket looked dirty and seemed never wash. There are a lot of mosquitoes in toilet too. The only star will be given to location. Hope the management will improve accordingly.

Awesome 3star Hotel with 5star services

The superb services rendered by front office staff Spencer and Jasmine and Level 6 housekeeping staff Iskander are byond call of duty. The other front office staff Win and Cherish are warm and friendly. They all makes you feel right at home. My wheel chair bound mother were very pleased with the services and cleaniness. Spencer checked us in early so not to inconvenience my mother. The beds were comfortable, the rooms and bathrooms were super clean. Good airconditioning. The hotel is surrounded by Mustafas (24/7) at the back and City Square Mall (10am to 10pm) just in the front with a string of 24/7 coffee shops around it. Jalan Besar Swimming complex is about 7 minutes walk from the hotel. Use you MRT Eazylink card for entry and the charge is about $1 per entry. A 5 minute walk down Serangoon Road brings you to the heart of Little India. The Farrer Park MRT is 2 minutes walk from the door steps of the hotel. A 3 minutes walk brings you to Sri Perumal Temple. Lots of jewellery shops glittering around the hotel with competitive pricing. The gold price is fixed but the workmanship can be reduced accordingly unless it is machine made then there is no workmanship cost.
The hotel is rated 3 stars but with all in and considering the staff warmness, cleaniness, external amenities my family and I, give Tai Hoe Hotel a 5 star without a doubt.

The room was NOT clean I can tell they don’t fully clean each room because their was rotting food in the fridge from previous guests, their were small bugs everywhere I am not sure what they were but they didn’t bite they were in the room and bathroom.

Rooms are basic but have all you need as a tourist and to be expected for the cost. The room was spotlessly clean throughout my stay, and even accounting for works they had going on during the day (they appear to be rennovating throughout) I had a good night's sleep every night. Yes, the bathroom is a wet room, but for those complaining, this was once more common around the world than you might think and it quickly dries out. The hotel is in an excellent location, only a few minutes walk from the MRT and plenty of eatieries nearby. A note for anyone visiting in future, there's an alcohol curfew of sorts in this area, with no sales permitted after certain times; as such the fridge in the room was a welcome addition! I recommend this hotel highly!

Living in a Hell

The hotel staff were very rude, the check-in process was very slow, this hotel is catering to short time stay customer's or hookers and the management was only money minded, I have wait long hours to use the bloody lobby wash room because there were 4 people were taking their turn in bathing in lobby wash room, also room was smelly, bed linen was dirty, the room what I was booked is not what I got, the whole day and night they were doing some maintaince work, what I herd was drilling and howling, it's not a hotel it's a shady joint, if you want to visit a Hell before you die plz visit this hotel...it's a shanty hell hole...

The front desk staff (mother-daugher) is very helpful, friendly and professional. They go the extra mile helping you find locations on Google Map, subway/MRT advice etc). The rooms are kind of like university dormitory rooms but they are absolutely adequate for the price. Being located directly across the street from the mall was lovely.

It is conveniently located in Little India. Well connected to other places in Singapore by public transport. Famous Mustafa Centre is next door, where we can shop 24 hours. Surrounded by good restaurants, both Veg and Non-veg. Unlike other places in Singapore, there is a good choice of pure vegetarian restaurants, though other restaurants serve Vegetarian as well as Non-vegetarian food. Across the corner is City Square Mall which houses most of the well known and popular stores. The Mall also provides popular local food outlets. Cheap priced Diaso also can be found in City Square Mall. Apart from this you have a choice of movies in Village Cinemas in the Mall. Overall experience was good for a budget stay.

2 nights stay at Singapore. Ideal for budget tourists especially Indians looking for basic accomodation. With its proximity to little India. very good connectivity by buses, train stations. Our idea was to spend the least amount of money on hotel, as would only be needing to sleep, freshen up and then move around the city. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpfull. This is NOT a hotel that you would expect to have star facilities. Just basic accomodation and facilities, intended for budget tourists. Also this is among the few hotels THAT WOULD ALLOW MORE THAN 1 CHILD IN THE SAME ROOM. We as Indians always like to stay in same room with our children which most hotels do not allow. This fit our basic requirements very well.

Very basic hotel, more like one and a half stars than two and a half. Double room was small and basic but clean. No wardrobe, the smallest bathroom I have ever seen with no bathroom ammenities. But a great little bar fridge, two bottles of water a day, good a/c and fabulous location in Little India near MRT station.

Finding affordable accomodstion in Singapore is tough so this hotel a good option. Family room was internal so not ideal but very quiet.
Great location few mins from metro train station, across road from a big shopping mall and local hawkers stands. Also close to tge fun and vibrant Little India.

There is no safe deposit box in the room. Need to go outside the room and get Hot water from the hallway to make a cup of coffee in the room. Most hotels in same category provides safe deposit and hot water kettle in the room. the hotel strictly enforces the 2 PM check in policy even when they have the rooms ready, with no consideration that customers waiting have arrived after long exhausting flights. NO HUMAN consideration at all.

We found the room was very noisy both traffic and from guests in the hallway. Better sound proofing is needed. Staff at reception were helpful and friendly. Rooms and bathroom are very basic, tea and coffee facilities were in the hall no jug in the room. Hand basin had only cold water no shower curtain meant the whole bathroom got wet.

The beds were unsafe as the wheels didn't lock and therefore when you sat down the bed moved.
The shower was over the toilet therefore you couldn't even keep the toilet paper close enough to use by the toilet.
The smell was rather off putting

if you wanted to leave your luggage if checking out but your plane left much later, it was left in the corridor next to the lifts.....for anyone to handle.

Basic, clean, in a very good location.

This hotel fits my personal bill on hotel stays in general: nothing fancy, just a clean bed and a hot shower please, in a lively location. There is a Starbucks and a supermarket at City Square Mall, just across the road. And of course Mustafa is next door, as are many delicious and cheap curry places.

Nothing fancy - it would be great value if Singapore hotels were not so outrageously overpriced.

The location is perfect because it is very near to MRT and shopping mall. HOWEVER, the cleaning service is not good, because when we wanted to have a nap in the afternoon, the cleaning service is just coming in and clean it with us inside. Then, there is one friend of his and kept talking.
The room is not as what we expected. But, considering the price, it is ok only.

Good room size for 2 people. Very clean and beds comfortable. Leafy tree outside our 2nd floor window, restful after a busy day out. No bedside light was a draw back for me. Shower over the toilet was a surprise but workable.
