Sea & pool view was absolutely gorgeous. Very clean hotel. Bar staff, reception and maids were great , very helpful & always smiling. Breakfast was very yummy. Just a FYI in the pool area there is a lift behind the bush which you need ur room card to use this brings you to the bottom of the hill and you can use the same gate on the way back instead of climbing the hill. Cocktails are well made. You can order a can from reception to the airport. Bis n. 2 and 3 for around €1.60 takes you to the busy side of benidorm there is also an indoor market on a saturday great value for gifts, pens, magnets , tea towels compared to shops near hotel. Tequilla rose shots are yummy. Will definately be returning. Thank you for a lovely welcome x

Hidden gem

Stayed here many times over the years, both before and now after it's complete renovation. The room we were in had a fabulous view of the sea and Finnistrat. We were half board, the variety and quality of the food was of the highest order. When we first stayed some 10 years ago the ability to speak Spanish was essential but although they greatly appreciate your speaking their language, most now speak at least some English. The majority of guests were, during our stay, mainly Spanish and the entertainment is geared towards them but most enjoyable. Highly recommend hotel

The transfer from Alicante to hotel Torre dorada was not.as stated at Expedia desk,on arrival,we were told that we would be dropped of at Hotel CallasMarinabecause the Torre dorada was not available by coach. Not knowing where this hotel was,having been wheel chair assisted,knowing the torre dorada was up a steep hill,we were dropped off at Hotel Bali and got taxi.very upsetting,

Lovely area, but quite steep hills. The area has lots of small bars around. The drinks prices in the Hotel were very reasonable. We found the lunch menu to be better than the evening one however there was always something to suit.levante beach is lovely and if you walk down the hill from the hotel turn right then down a little further past the church and turn second right it will bring you to the sea front. The beach to the right tends to be a little quieter, and has a lovely beach bar at the side of the road which is very good for food and drinks and not expensive. Would probably stay at the Torre Dorada again. The hotel does have WI FI and you are able to get a pass word from reception if your having trouble with it.we had room 1216 which was on the 12th floor and had a fabulous sea view.

The hotel has recently undergone refurbishment but problems remain. Lifts including new lift on which so much money has been spent not working properly. Despite that as regular customers of the Torre Dorsda we always enjoy coming here.

Very clean room and in the hotel.
Swimming pool needs. more attention, than a robot cleaner can give.
Good friendly service, happy staff,
Nice restaurant, good buffet meals.
Nightmare finding the hotel, negotiating the narrow roads and parking. we paid for the hotel carpark and left our car there then used taxis so a big added extra on price of hotel stay.
Near to shops and Bar/restaurants, but too hot to walk to beach.

Good location good food.

We arrived out of season so the hotel was very quiet but food service was still very good. There was a slight aroma in the bedroom, similar to a retirement home, but once aired we managed to ignore it. Good location being close to steps down to the beach but if you are less mobile you would need to use public transport, taxi or drive to the beach as the steps are steep. Great views from the room to the ocean.

Need to get right with pool section without music!

The hotel was basic but it was clean, the food was well presented with good variety. Locality was good for walking along the front, the beach is spectacular. Apparently there was a new feature of music around the pool which was invariably too loud for the clientel who were reading, listening to there own music or trying to relax. When I asked the young waiter to lower the volume he argued that it wasn't loud and I should sit at the other side of the pool that was in the shade which I pointed out. He turned down the music eventually but later in the week there were other complaints and he did the same saying he liked it!

Good hotel near to beach and Benidorm

This hotel is a good all round three star hotel.

The rooms are clean and functional. Mine had a large balcony with a lovely view of the beach and mountains. The bathroom was excellent and the daily service was very good.

The food was very good for the price with ample fresh fruit, salads and fruit juice. Each evening there was a theme but also alternatives. You could get ice cream from a machine.

The breakfast was first rate and included everything you might like. I would still pack your own tea bags but I am fussy and like it strong.

If you ate a good breakfast and had the evening meal you did not need to eat inbetween.

The pool area was average but the large rectangular 22m pool was a plus. I am a regular swimmer and enjoyed it everyday.

The bar area was clean and drinks were fairly priced.

You can catch a bus for 1.5 euro's to central Benidorm with its noise, bars and nightlife. It is an hours walk back if you need to sober up but the buses run until 1am.

I would stay at this hotel again without hesitation.

We loved this hotel

We stayed for 4 nights and would recommend this hotel. We had a spectacular sea view from our 9th floor private balcony. This area is quiet and upmarket. We stayed full board, the food and choice was excellent. The only negative point was the 255 steps down to the beach. The pool area was lovely with more than enough sunbeds.

Was for New Year stay, 3 nights, parking expensive, 10 euro night, but found couple of spaces in roads around.
Close to some bars, shops, but needed bus to get to old town or Levant areas.
Food ok, buffet service, fair selection, waiters staff friendly and helpful.
New year eve gala dinner was really good. Free drinks all
Night but the room rate for that night reflected this?
Overall enjoyed it, but hotel maybe needs some updating.
Mostly Spanish guests but that made stay enjoyable, they certainly enjoyed themselves!

Great hotel amongst the Spanish

Upsides:

Nice hotel in the far the Spanish side. It was nice being amongst the Spanish people are very friendly and always said hello. There is a good family feel to the place.

Room is bright and big enough. Bathroom is decent. Balcony but views can vary from stunning sea views to looking onto the back. I had a view of the pool from my room.

Went full-board. Ate there for nearly all of my meals. Food was great. Good variety and tasted good. Staff in restaurant were excellent. Always keeping on top of clearing away dirty plates and bringing drinks quickly after ordered.

Pool is good. Always spare sunbeds to lounge in.

Entertainment was adequate i'd say. Nothing special.

Nearby beach is big and has lots of room. Nice and quiet compared with beaches on the English side. Decent food places nearby.

Bus stop is close by and only 1.50 to get into the centre (about 15 mins). Taxis are between 7 - 12 euros.

Supermarket, pharmacy and other amenities nearby like cash machine.

Downsides:

You will never get in the lifts during busy periods so you will be walking up and down a fair few flights of stairs. Lifts need upgrading.

Hill between hotel and beach (curls around) or the very long staircase was fine for me because I am fit but others won't like it.

balcony cannot be enjoyed at night because they have ridiculous LED flashing lights which turn your balcony into a disco. Almost had a fit. Seriously, you cannot use them at all at night because of the lights.

A very different Benidorm

Hotel is located in a very tranquil location, okay dead nothing to do outside not like the other end of town So if your looking for all the action outside the hotel this place is not for you.Rooms were clean and bed linen very good the usual lack of a decent pillow, WiFi worked well,food was of a good standard and was always hot or cold as it should have been. No entertainment in the hotel at all,parking in peak season would be a problem and you would have to pay the hotels supplementary parking charge out of season it was possible to park for free,hotel is up a hill so this could be a consideration if your not too good at hill climbing

Torre Dorada in Benidorm

Absolutely great location on a ridge with wonderful views of the Mediterranean Sea and surrounding mountains. The hotel is located on the east end of Benidorm which was exactly what we wanted; walking distance to two outstanding beaches and many taste restaurants. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The only negative is just about everyone at and near the hotel spoke English! However, I practiced my chopped up Spanish anyway:)

Just ok, a few gripes but worth a look :)

It was ok here, though there were a few niggles with our stay. Our room on arrival was 320 (third floor room 20) and was a twin room when we had ordered a double. After waking in the morning we found that the balcony was directly above the kitchens, so the kitchen fans were constantly running at mealtimes, also the balcony gave up the sun around 11.30am so no terrace sunbathing. Rooms 1,2,3,18,19,20 are all more or less north facing so get very little sun. After asking for a room change we were allocated 811, much better room on opp side of building overlooking the pool.
Pool was fantastic, great bar service by staff, all good here.
Mealtimes were a bit mayhemic, at breakfast there was much snaffling of bread rolls, croissants, cakes etc by other hotel guests, obviously to take down the beach, a bit annoying when you queue for 1 or 2 croissants only to have somebody in front take all 12 or whatever is on the tray.
My major problem with this particular hotel is the lifts, or lack of them. Absolute nightmare at mealtimes, the 3 lifts seem to get awfully confused, people waiting for ages for a lift to come, which they find is full, so have to wait for the next one.... Its a long process. Ok for myself as I can fortunately use stairs, but if you have kids with prams, or you have difficulty with stairs it's a really bad system.
I know this review sounds a bit harsh, I'm just being honest, and the hotel has got good points too, which other reviewers will pick up on. Thanks :)

Hotel full of Spanish families - great fun during the day but unfortunately very noisy until late with children leftt unattended in room next door and walls very thin.

For those on a low budget

This hotel was recommended to us but did not meet our needs. The room was very basic and the AC had been switched off although it was extremely hot. The food was poor, same starters most days and couldn't believe there were chips for breakfast.The dessert sauces were in giant squeezy bottles and the whipping cream was artificial. The machine coffee was undrinkable so had to buy a jar at a supermarket nearby. We had a hire car but hotel charged ten euros daily so parked elsewhere and had a long walk to our room. The toilet seat was badly chipped and the chair in the room was damaged and so could not be used. We were disappointed with our stay.

Excellent Hotel - better than the four star Bali!

Great hotel, friendly English speaking staff, food was excellent throughout the stay with plenty of choices for all tastes. The only slight moan is that only 3 of the 5 lifts serve the hotel rooms, so it does get a bit congested at meal times but not so much to annoy you or spoil your stay.

nice hotel, located near lovely beach. very few english speaking persons, hotel staff english very poor. rooms nice size and well serviced. food excellent at all times- very good selection to suit all. entertainment programme only suited up to five year olds and not suited to english speaking children. pool well supervised by life guard. pool beds are only suppposed to be left unatttedended for 15 minutes but nooone supervised this and it sometimes meant you could not get a sunbed-very annoying. pool serviced by waiter service-good. adult entertainment programme not great-started at 10.30p.m. good entertainment in hotel down the street on way to yago on right. Yago cafe at bottom of hill on way to beach excellent staff very friendly. buses to carreflour leave outside yago. 1.40euro very reasonable. bendidorm bus tour a waste of money perhaps try the train tour. i would recommend the hotel but not to a family with teenagers. grand hotel bali close by they offer excellent entertainment and you can just walk in. at the carrefour their is lovely italian restaurant on the roof-highly recommend this- amusement for the children next to it and other eating establishments.

This was our second time at the Torre. This time there were the two of us plus my daughter and her family,six of us in all .We had two rooms which were very clean and comfortable. The reception staff were very pleasant and welcoming and we were booked in at 12 noon so we were in time for lunch.The hotel staff were all very pleasant and made a big fuss of the children .The food was very good plenty of choice to suit all tastes. We had a magician on the entertainment in the evening and he involved the children in his act. He was very good as he spoke to his audience in both Spanish and English.My only comment is that we booked all inclusive and we had to pay for our drinks, this wasnt a problem but perhaps it should be clarified at time of booking.A free bus or taxi service into Benidorm would be a nice gesture to. Overall we had yet another good stay and would certainly stay again.

Hotel Torre Dorada Benidorm

Just returned from an eight day holiday to Finestrat area of Benidorm. The hotel was an excellent choice, very clean and catering for most holiday needs. The restaurant was well laid out with plenty of seating, the staff were very friendly and worked very hard. The food was always well presented and to a very good standard, always a freshly cooked display by a very hard working chef, mainly spanish guests, but this didn't bother us. The drinks prices were very reasonable and the evening entertainment although geared towards the spanish guests was entertaining. the pool was a little small for the size of the hotel, but we always got a sun lounger on the afternoons we stayed round the pool. all in all a great holiday was had by all family of four with two teenage sons, will definately return in the future, well done to all the staff.

Torre Dorada wasn't so easy to find the first time, but once we located it, it's hard to miss, situated right next to the huge Bali Hotel. We had been recommended this part of Benidorm to be out of the main nightlife and more suitable for the kids. It was just that.
Going in the off peak was probably good as we still had lovely weather, but no big crowds anywhere. The beaches were still reasonably busy and the sea was lovely to swim in but the hotel pool wasn't available and Aqualandia was closed down.
It was easy to park near the hotel so we didn't use the fairly expensive hotel carpark.
Food was good, service was excellent and the condition of the hotel was fine.

if you want the less noisier part of benidorm, this is the place and only 5 mins from the beach. lots of great food to choose from and if you want to get into the centre of benidorm take the number 12 bus which costs only 1.25 euros each and we walked back along the beach, which took about 45 mins.

Vacaciones perfectas!!

Habitaciones muy cómodas, con neverita y caja fuerte. Terraza IMPRESIONANTE. Piscina exterior, y además otra infantil y parque. Club infantil. Animación. Comida de 10 absoluto!! Todo ello han hecho de nuestras vacaciones unos días inolvidables. Cerca de la playa y zona tranquila.

Vi verkligen njut av vår resan till Spanien. Hotell överskridit våra förhoppningar :-). Fräscha gemensamma lokaler, rena fina rum med underbart utsikt både över havet och staden ( vi bodde på 8:e våningen). Trevliga personal. Maten var inte av det högsta kvalité men man kunde välja något att äta ändå.
Ca 8 min promenad till stranden om man går runt backe, annars finns ett trappa bakom hotellet som man kan också använda för att förkorta vägen ner. I närheten till Hotell finns busshållsplats med bra förbindelse till andra stadsområden. Vi oftast gått till centrum längst ner havet, det varit ca 30 min promenad med fint utsikt.

Ger inte mer än 3 stjärnigt. Minus för att man inte kunde beställa någonting alls upp till rummet. Även ett minus för måltiderna. Sen frukost och mycket sen middag. Utökade tider vore önskvärt. \"Nära stranden\" är för mycket sagt. 250 trappsteg går inte vem som helst. Backar att gå i vart man än ska, kan vara bra att länna till om man har rörelsehinder. Språket (engelska) är lite si o så.

Die Kaffeeautomaten im Frühstücksraum sind etwa 20 Jahre alt: sollen erneuert werden. Es war für alle Gäste, auch Spanier, ziemlich schwierig, einen annehmbaren Kaffee beim Früstück aus den 'uralten' Automaten zu holen. Tlw. kam nur heisses Wasser ...

Gostei do hotel e da sua localização. Comida variada e funcionários simpáticos.
A internet nem sempre funcionava e ouviam-se as pessoas a falar nos quartos ao lado, principalmente se tinham crianças. Recomendo :)

Dejligt hotel

Et dejligt ophold hvor alt på hotellet fungerede fint. Det eneste ærgerlige var at vejret, hvor det regnede fra morgen til aften i 3 dage. Det var knap så heldigt. Det er jo selvfølgelig ikke hotellets skyld. ;-)

No me gustó para nada la comida poca variedad y mala calidad. Íbamos 28 personas y todos han opinado lo mismo. Y luego éramos todos parejas.,las camitas separadas de 80 con plástico en el colchón impermeable que hacía un ruido..... No volveremos 😬. Aunque menos mal que el baile estuvo bien

Хороший отдых с Terra Dorada

Отель расположен вблизи самого большого пляжа города (протяженностью более 3 км), удостоенного в 2018 г голубого флага. Расстояние до ближайшего пляжа по лестнице 300 м, по дороге 600 м. Вблизи отеля остановка общественного транспорта - 200 м. Ближайший супермаркет 500 м. Приветливый персонал, хорошая уборка в номерах. Бесплатный интернет доступен на территории всего отеля, включая номера. В номере бесплатный сейф. Очень хорошее и разнообразное питание. Доступность питания по программе полный пансион. У отеля собственная недорогая парковка для автомобилей, при желании можно парковаться бесплатно на удалении до 300 м. Потрясающий вид из номера на море и горы. Вечером включается подсветка отеля и его видно почти с любой точки города. для любителей бега прекрасная возможность утренних пробежек вдоль кромки моря или по променаду.
