I would first of all like to say that this hotel receives five stars because of the staff. I have never met a more knowledgeable and passionate hotelier than LEO. He knew every detail about the hotel and Bahia. He was able to give us the history down to the numbers. He was so informative and knowledgeable that it blew my mind. The hotel was nice. It’s an amazing property in not the best area. I would only recommend this hotel for someone who is not looking to have an authentic Bahia experience. This hotel is great if you would like to stay in absolute luxury in a rural neighborhood. It’s a very safe and secure hotel. But the staff made our stay the most memorable. I would like to give a huge thank you to Leo, Georgique, Francisco, Lisanna, Josie and the rooftop staff. I would like each of you to know how important you made our stay in Bahia. I can’t wait to return and see you all again.

Charming hotel with very attentive and caring staff, located in the historic district of Salvador, Bahia. We were able to walk to do much of our sightseeing, shopping and dining. In the evening we enjoyed swimming in the rooftop pool with the magnificent view and watching the sunset.

Really good hotel with excellent building design and recent renovations. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The restaurant and food are top notch.
The area for improvements: most staff doesn’t speak any foreign language and aren’t at the level of a Palace. The bathroom was really simple and details could be added to improve user experience, as simple as indicating which knob is hot or cold.

Atendimento maravilhoso do check in com a Luciana e também no restaurante com a Natasha. O quarto e confortável. Infelizmente só achei chato dessa vez que não teve buffet de café da manhã ente o só 1 dia pedi no quarto e tudo estava fresco e gostoso.
A outra coisinha que achei chata foi que época de Copa e viajando com marido gringo e sem poder ver numa tv na área do bar ou até lá encima na piscina. Infelizmente a tv do quarto a imagem não estava boa. Sem sol também não é uma boa opção já que o legal é lá encima.

Mostly my stay was completely wonderful, but there was a one day delay getting my cleaned laundry back to me and it looked likely that my flight would leave before my clothes were returned to me. Although the situation was ultimately resolved there was too much back and forth - most of an afternoon including a suggestion that I should pay an extra expediting fee to get it back on time - which I would not expect from a hotel of this caliber.

Very good rooms overall except for the views facing horrible buildings.
I was told that they only way to get a nice view was to book the best suite.
I also found the elevator annoyingly slow.
I ordered a caprese salad in room service but not only the portion was too small but they didn’t even bother to add some bread with it.

Beautifully renovated historical building (so expected that rooms are rather small) but with all the comforts, including very good wifi everywhere. Pool area is great, and good both those who like to swim and lounge. Could have some beach umbrellas at the lounge chairs, instead of \"canopy\", stylish but quite useless for real shade. Excellent breakfast and generally restaurant is highly recommended; we had dinner there 2 times to try different dishes, which were all delicious (portions are not too big though).

Wonderful hotel, which has been restored to a very high level and a real feeling of it’s former grandeur through the Art Deco styling.

Great location near to the old town with a fabulous rooftop bar and pool area.

Friday evening sunset with a DJ was a really lovely mix of locals and guests alike.

Staff very friendly, polite and helpful.

The only minor points -

Our room on the 3rd floor at the rear and near to the lifts was a little noisy.

The rooftop cocktails were a little disappointing being a bit ‘synthetic’ in the fruit mixers used but the Chandon rose was a great alternative instead.

Beautifully renovated hotel in a lovely old building. Staff are friendly and helpful and the beds are incredibly comfortable. However, we’ve been told by severe people that the street it is in is too dangerous to walk in at night so we’ve had to take a taxi just to go round the corner to the Pelourinho which is such a shame. There are several things the hotel could do better (like hooks for towels in the bathroom and providing a safe shuttle service to the Pelourinho). On our first night here (a Thursday) there was a private party on the roof terrace with very loud music, which no one had warned us about. Just little tiny details like this could make a huge difference but all in all a really lovely hotel.

Extremely well located and very comfortable bed and pillows.

My criticism would be that the mini bar is empty other than 2 bottles of water which is a problem when you arrive late due to a delayed flight and there is nothing available to eat or drink either in the room or downstairs. They have an ordering system for the minibar but in practice this involves losing a day before the mini bar gets stocked up. I have seen this in other hotels recently and it feels like a bit of a barrier to having to bother with a mini bar rather than putting customers' needs first. It could only work if you are asked upon check in what you would like to have in the mini bar and for the items to arrive straight away. I may not have minded much if I hadn't arrived so late but there must be other guests in my position sometimes and very unpleasant to go to bed without so much as an orange juice or beer and some kind of snack.

Overall, I would definitely recommend it as it is new, friendly and comfortable in a characterful building but make alternative arrangements for food and drink.

A solid 4 star with aspirations for a 5 star.

The staff was great at check in. Very patient although one one or two people spoke English. These people are the key to getting a 5 star. The roof top poo was amazing with a great view but they need to work on the margaritas. The room was clean and plush. The breakfast has so many options but no meat. Dinner st night was tasteful. The area look rough but it’s pretty safe to walk to the old town. Some how the staff is full of good looking people with nice personalities.

Stayed here for threenights. It’s a short walk from the older part of town, Pelourinho. And just 2 minutes maximum from Eleanor Lacerda. The hotel facilities and reception service/welcome were great. The improve required is around breakfast service which was not acceptable. Staff were more interested in clearing and or setting tables than serving coffee, which each morning became a challenge to locate someone or catch their eye and negotiate coffee. Not once on any of the three days did someone approach the table and offer it - this was unique during my whole stay where in every other hotel the breakfast service was great. Can easily be improved and obtain 5*s.

Amazing Staff!

The staff at this hotel really couldn’t do enough for you - they were all amazing, booking us taxis, citi tours, recommending places to eat! The hotel is lovely, in a great location for visiting historic Salvador and for the ferry terrminal which we used to pop over to Morro de São Paulo. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Salvador for a few days!

Absolutely the coolest hotel in central Salvador!

We are two U.S. citizens with a second home across the bay from Salvador. We have been observing, from the outside, progress that has been made in the refurbishment of this Art Deco hotel, so conveniently located in the historical heart of the city. Though the hotel is not entirely finished, it is already open to the public. We stayed there this last week and were very impressed by the great taste of the development team that has transformed this historic hotel to the 21st century. Everything about the hotel - the restaurant, the bar, the rooms, the rooftop deck and pool - is exquisite. You will not regret staying here. Let's hope that the transformation of this hotel will lead the way towards a more major re-development of the neighborhood as well.

O quarto foi limpo nas primeiras 3 noites. Na ultima so fizeram as camas e nao trocaram toalhas fiquei de 8 de 12 de abril. Tambem nao repuseram hidrantes e amenities. O ar é otimo. Pedimos ao concierge fazer reserva num restaurante. Chegamos la gerente disse q nao havia reserva feita e ficou assim um diz q fez outro q nao
. Outra coisa absurda que fomos almocar nk rooftoop com 2 amigos q estavam no fasano e eles no fera proibiram a entrada deles . Conclusao fomos os 4 almocar no rroftoop do fasano. Ah a privada estava vazando por baixo no primeiro dia mas arrumaram . Enfim foi bom mas proxima vez me hospedarei no fasano.

O Fera continua excelente. Fico lá desde que abriu e posso dizer que o hotel melhora a cada dia. O serviço, que no início do hotel era mediano, agora é excelente. Muito gentil. O quarto está com boa manutenção e a piscina segue como uma atração única.

O hotel é antigo, escuro, tem cheiro de mofo, e não está em seu melhor estado de conservação. Ser vintage é algo totalmente diferente do que é este hotel. A localização é cheia de pessoas em situação de rua, e tem até um segurança na porta para impedir que eles entrem no local.

Hotel de luxo, com atendimento de primeira. O anfitrião nos recebe muito bem e no caminho até o quarto nos conta toda a história do edifício. Rooftop com comida de qualidade. Foi cobrada uma taxa de rolha de 50 reais pelo vinho que levei acordada previamente. Piscina sem aquecimento, mas com vista espetacular. Academia simples, mas com aparelhos versáteis e ar condicionado. O café da manhã é espetacular, com uma qualidade excelente. O pão de queijo foi o melhor da vida. O banheiro do quarto que fiquei, por tentarem preservar o estilo antigo, é simples, mas confortável e grande. A cama e travesseiros te abraçam. Fomos recebidos com docinhos regionais de boas vindas, além de um cartão personalizado. O hotel toca um axé suave em todos os ambientes e possui um aroma delicioso, o que marca bastante a estadia. Fui em época de Natal, então ao redor existia muita segurança. Não sei em outras época se a sensação de insegurança de centros ainda existe.
