AC was leaking all over the wall and the floor. They sent someone to fix it but it was leaking during my whole stay. They did offer to change my room but I was already settled in and said no.
They did make the bed and change the towels every day. Breakfast was lackluster but included with the stay.
Other guests were extremely noisy when walking up and down the stairs, especially the kids who were vocally loud as well while running up and down the stairs.

The property has the charm of a time long gone. Unfortunately, it is also quite old. We had living cockroaches and ants in our bathroom and bedroom. Moreover, our room was adjacent to the street. The noise of traffic woke us up multiple times at night due to the poor insulation of the old windows and walls. On a positive note, the breakfast was good, the location is good, and you have some great views of the old Harbour and Fortress. Finally, the employees at the check-in were nice and very helpful.

This property is not for you if you seek comfort, infrastructure and service. It is super basic, almost spartan and suitable for young backpackers traveling on a tight budget and only looking for a place to drop off bags and sleep. Room 24 is like a jail cell: small. Tiny bathroom, no view. Two slivers of soap. Breakfast? Mediocre.

Any redeeming qualities? Just the location.

Old Building With Great Location

This is an old building that has been somewhat restored. It still needs a lot of work. The matress was not comfortable. However, the location is fantastic; just a few blocks from main sights. And the view from the terrace is great.

Subpar - Far better choices exist

Poor choice. Put it this way, even though I paid for 3 nights (non-refundable), I chose to leave after just 1 night and stay another nearby hotel that was FAR better and only $15 more per night. My issues: Room had a strong musty/moldy smell, A/C couldn't come close to cooling the room, wifi wouldn't work from the room (only the lobby), furnishings were very old, only one small towel in the bathroom. On top of that, breakfast was mediocre and the coffee (delicious everywhere else I've been in Brazil) was pretty awful. All that said, the room was at least clean, and the ocean view from the breakfast room is outstanding.

Had a very pleasant stay....the people working at the hotel were very nice. it is an older property and the rooms are small, but very clean and well worth the money.Nice breakfast which is included in a wonderful breakfast room .the hotel is located on the edge of the old town but safety could be a concern in the evening.

I loved stay in this hotel with my family, the hotel is amazing, his located is great, also the room that we stay have a wonderful viem to the ocean. All the employees are very nice and help us in all we need. I just love all my time there it was amazing.

Perfect location, near Lacerda Elevator, Placa da Sé and Pelourinho.

The hotel is in the 2nd and 3rd floor and no elevator are there, so you should climb the stairs...

A pousada fica bem perto do elevador Lacerda,do mercado e do pier para embarque nos barcos para as ilhas. É um prédio bem antigo,mas bem cuidado. Quarto simples ,cama confortável,mas o chuveiro precisa melhorar. Café da manhã satisfatório,com bastante opções. Funcionários gentis. Não acessível para deficientes de locomoção,pois tem uma escada enorme para acessar a recepção. No rooftop, a vista da Baía de todos os Santos é maravilhosa.

La chambre est petite et austère. La Clim est directement envoyée sur le lit, donc l'air froid est envoyé sur la tête toute la nuit.
L'insonorisation est nulle, que ce soit avec le couloir ou avec l'extérieur.
La salle de bain est plus que sommaire, avec même pas une tablette pour poser les affaires, pas de sèche cheveux, et une douche à l'installation cassée, où coule seulement un filet d'eau.
Le petit déjeuner est très correct dans une jolie salle.
Mais pour la chambre, c'est un grand non.

Estadia curta que valeu a pena

A estadia foi curta. Passamos a noite apenas para poder pegar o catamarã para Morro de São Paulo no dia seguinte. A pousada é muito bem localizada, distante poucos metros do Elevador Lacerda. A pousada ocupa um prédio histórico e por isso tem algumas limitações, mas o quarto estava limpo, a cama era agradável e o chuveiro e ar condicionado funcionaram perfeitamente. O café da manhã consideramos bom. A equipe foi atenciosa desde o início da hospedagem. De uma maneira geral foi uma excelente relação custo benefício.

Il s agit d'un grand bâtiment de l'époque coloniale avec plancher en bois et porte en bois . Le tout redivisé en chambres. Pas d'insonorisation.
Chambre de taille normale mais chambre de bain petite avec WC mais propre.
Bon petit déjeuner buffet.
Bon accueil.

Par contre choix personnel à faire concernant le quartier qui n est vraiment pas sécurisant.

Pousada muito bem localizada para conhecer o centro histórico de Salvador.
Café da manhã bom, sem muitas variedades, mas tudo muito bem feito. O quarto que fiquei deixou a desejar no ar-condicionado, que demorou a refrigerar o quarto (pequeno) mesmo sendo um dia não muito quente.
Voltaria mais vezes tranquilamente. Indico. Ótimo custo-benefício.

Para quem vai pela primeira vez deve saber que a entrada é por uma escada em uma faixada sem muitas indicações. O local é antigo, mas muito confortável e bem limpo.

A única coisa que me incomodou é que a equipe de limpeza entra no quarto mesmo sabendo que tem gente. Parece que não tem comunicação entre a recepção e a equipe para avisar que o cliente está no quarto. Por 3x isso me aconteceu.

Hotel bem localizado, próximo a diversos pontos turísticos, como o elevador lacerda e o pelourinho. Quartos amplos, porém com móveis antigos e em estado de conservação ruim, como os sofás. O chuveiro é elétrico, e o café da manhã não tem muitas opções. Como era apenas a estadia de um dia, os pontos fracos não me incomodaram, mas para estadias maiores isso pode ser um problema.

Pousada maravilhosa .. pela atendimento do Ademir

Extreme bem localizada.. confortável.. quarto amplo.. limpa.. chuveiro era gelado, porém estava mto calor, isso não foi um problema. Único inconveniente foi o Ademir chefe de recepção que vende pacotes turísticos e estava fazendo uma venda agressiva comigo e meu amigo.. simplesmente forçando a venda de um serviço que não era da pousada e não teve nem paciência nem educação com a gente que era turista.. estava chegando e queria fechar os passeios após dar uma caminhada antes de fechar o passeio.. pela falta de educação perdeu de vender dois passeios e mais dois Transfer ao morro de São Paulo.. mas quando a pousada em si foi tudo ótimo! A vista que tem é perfeita

Pontos positivos: Localização bem ao lado do centro histórico (ao lado do Fera e do Fasano), café da manhã fantástico, salão de cafe da manhã com uma vista "de milhões" da baia de todos os santos, ser um prédio histórico - gosto muito de coisas antigas - atendimento amigável e comprometido de todo o staff
Negativo : não ter elevador (difícil instalar por se tratar de predio histórico) e ter quarto pequenos e antigos - mas o quarto mezanino que fiquei era muito confortável

O hotel é antigo, porém bem conservado. O atendimento do pessoal do hotel sempre foi muito atencioso e educado. Pude guardar minhas malas antes da realização do check in e isso foi essencial para mim. Café da manhã simples, com boas opções. Quarto que fiquei era virado para o terraço do hotel. Mas há outros com vistas melhores. A região que hotel fica está conservada, porém é necessário tomar certo cuidado. Há muitos pedintes e pessoas atrás de turistas, já que estamos a uma quadra do Elevador Lacerda. E muito próximo ao Pelourinho. Vale o cuidado em andar na rua pela localização do hotel. Nota geral 8/10.

Excelente localização, limpo, organizado, colaboradores prestativos.
Só uma sugestão: colocar bebedouros. Nada melhor do que chegar no local e com aquela baita calor, ofertar pelo menos 1 copo de água. Pelo menos na recepção, cordialidade. Cheguei esbaforida das escadarias, perguntei se tinha um copo de água e a moça respondeu que até para ela tem que trazer de casa.
O demais não tenho o que falar.

A estadia foi agradável. A pousada é em um prédio antigo, bonito e bem conservado .
Por ser um prédio tombado, não há elevador. Desta forma, nao indico para pessoas que tenham problema com mobilidade. A vista do salao de café da manhã é linda.
A pousada fica bem próximo dos pontos turisticos (elevador lacerda, igrejas, pelourinho). Dá para chegar nos pontos andando, tranquilamente.
Sobre o quarto que ficamos, inicialmente tínhamos reservado o quarto simples mas cono estávamos em lua de mel, a pousada turbinou nossa estadia para o loft que era bem melhor. O loft possuia cama e travesseiros confortáveis, ar condicionado ótimo, tv com canais fechados. Tivemos um problema no banheiro mas logo consertaram.
Os funcionários foram prestativos em todo momento.

Surpreendeu, bom custo beneficio

A pousada fica no centro histórico de salvador e uns 5 min caminhando do pelourinho, fica tb uns 2 minutos do elevador lacerda, muito bem localizada. A região é um típico centro de cidade, tem predios mais antigos e meio feios, tem morador de rua, tem lixo na rua, mas ao ir caminhando até o pelourinho me snti segura por ter varios policias no caminho (não sei se por ser perto do carnaval ou é sempre assim).
A pousada é um casarão antigo, então as pessoas tem que ser sensatas no que esperar de um casarão antigo. Há várias escadas, o piso é de taco, as portas e janelas antigas e tudo que é antigo tem consigo uma certa sujeirinha, então a pousada não é limpa brilhante, mas na minha opinião estava em boas condições. Tem um terraço no último andar que não é mto bem cuidado mas tem uma vista liiiiiiiinda pra baia de todos os santos, por do sol imperdivel.
Nosso quarto era o numero 9 que dava para a rua da cidade, não era vista para o mar. Eu achei o tamanho bom e a cama confortável, lençóis limpos e poderia apenas ter mais travesseiros. O banheiro é beeem simples e meio caindo aos pedaços mas estava consideravelmente limpo e o banho foi bom. O café da manhã (que tinha visto algumas avaliações ruins) estava uma delícia, simples mas tudo gostoso e achei bastante opções até. A vista do café da manhã é lindaaaa tb. Em resumo, eu achei o custo benefício ótimo! Pelo preço que se paga o que é entregue é beem justo. Para mais requinte, obviamente tem que investir em outro nivel de hotel.
