Lunch is a big problem. The hotel does not offer lunch. The small business around the hotel may not be friendly if you can not speak Indonesian. If you work from hotel and rush to get lunch, then good luck.

This property is very well located in proximity to vibrant shopping centres and offices but the road on which stands is very narrow with heavy traffic and not pedestrian friendly.

The lobby cafe seemed permanently closed and restaurant was not open when I went during the day time.

The staff is kind and helpful. They let me check in early which allowed me to get some test before my meeting.

Bed was comfortable. Fridge was a bit dirty and the room felt dusty. The bathroom has good fittings but needs more maintenance to feel clean. Wifi was very problematic.

The breakfast was average. The gym equipment was in bad shape. Pool water a but foggy and uninviting.

I got my deluxe room for a very good price but I wouldn’t go back due to the above reasons.

Compared to Shangri-La!

Humble opinion of a working professional, therefore perhaps applicable to you who stay for longer periods and/or frequently.

Bottom line: Ayaka wins by threefold for better value for your time (or money)!

Criteria I usually measure:

1. Guest profile is decent.. (0 snobs spotted to date)
a) so if you stay in Shangrilah for the price tag to filter out idiots.. works usually.. try Ayaka.. surprisingly good visitor profile..
b) if just the price tag or fancy name or social media check-in to be awesome or some other symptom of premature cognitive impairment.. try Mulia, maybe even feels more like home.. defo higher peer approval..

2) just as accommodating staff but more easygoing or somehow generally more friendly vibe.. again objective but if you are also tired of \"yes sir's / how are you mister ..\" (pardon femme.. mademoiselle / madame felt less tiring it seems) then person to person greetings and random small talk is a commodity here..

also have to point out that management is sharp.. have not had the pleasure to meet in person but some good ideas, unpleasant but necessary decisions are a minimum to run a place like this. Good makes all execution reflects from the lowest through several level

3) breakfast buffet is surprisingly strong.. just the same you'll get with those 2 extra stars, juta's or hours

A regular at this hotel. I informed you I was going to have. Late checkin. That doesn’t mean you put me on the 8th floor in the ditto room you have with NO TOWELS. You guys are crazy! Especially as I stayed here last week and the week before. You’ve just lost a customer and should be sshamed of yourself.

the staff there however is extra friendly, polite and accommodating in every way (despite the fact that i’m not perhaps the easiest guest to have..) :)

Good for the price

After a bumpy start due to the AC leaking, the staff did their best to please me. They agreed to allow me to do a late check out at no cost for the inconvenienced caused. Location is good, two malls closed by, location is busy so going by taxi anywhere will take time.
The pool was good, food restaurant also good, but the service was slow, they need more training.

I had a late check in due to a business event. Got a room upgrade which was nice. However, I woke up in the middle of the night and the floors were soaking wet. Turns out the AC unit inside the room was leaking like a tap. On top of that there was loud music from 2am till 7am. Not a great experience and for the price I would not recommend.

Either Avissa or Ayaka are my choice of hotels when I go to Jakarta. If you want near roadside with food shops and mall, it will be Avissa. Ayaka is a bit further, the reason I choose Ayaka is for their breakfast and gym which is better than Avissa in my humble opinion. Note that my review is subjective and base on experience. Hope it helps.

All good apart from pool area, the pool is right next to outdoor smoking area with the distance less than a metre from each other. At one point we had 8 people smoking next to our children swimming, very uncomfortable specially the way they are sitting is facing the pool as if they are watching the kids while they are smoking. not very happy about it.
On second morning around 9-10 am, the pool is being treated and they pour chlorine in front of us (horrible smell) and the attendant said we could literally swim in 30 minutes. Other guest approached us and said that we should not let our kids swim straight away and normally we need to wait at least 4 hours so the chlorine integrate with the water. Otherwise, our skin will itch and irritate. We ending up approaching the staff in the restaurant, mentioning this issue and hopefully next time Management will take this into consideration and do the maintenance work at night so it allow people to swim in the morning. After all, we did choose this hotel because our kids want to swim, if thats not good enough, we won't be bother next time.

We had the executive suite and the only draw back was the maintenance of aircond . They had to fill it up with gas in the middle of the night as itvwas not cold. Overall .. it was a great hotel to stay in !

Hotel yg sangat selesa. Berbaloi jika dibandingkan dengan harga. Pelayanan yg cukup ramah. Menu breakfast boleh tahan. Not so many choices but enough to start our day.
Jalan masuk ke hotel agak sempit. Dont worry, still mudah utk cari blue bird taxi. Call away.
Kalau lapar..senang je. Depan byk warung. Circle K about 200m. Jalan kaki tak ada masalah.
Bilik kecik utk deluxe room. Cukup utk 2orang. Masih ada ruang utk solat. Bilik tak ada bau rokok. Toilet bersih tak mouldy.
Conclusion, will stay here again if we come to jakarta.
Highly Recommended.

Hotel is only ok. The rooms are comfortable though(Junior Suite). Check in speedy, greeted properly, but no genuine smile from girls on reception, nor greeted from them ever again, rather looked at strange. Other staff courteous and friendly. Pool is too smal and not inviting at all. Was expecting better breakfast, it is edible but nothing special, and coffee was terrible.

Despite the lack of the room facilities (the aircon uncontrollable, only one electrical outlet), the staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was amazing.
The location is great, nearby to the city downtown, but the road by the hotel is not easy to walk in (narrow and scary).

Hotel located behind the main road. Quick 10 min walk gets you to a few different malls. Hotel facilities were well thought out, laundry and pantry was good. Well maintained. The ambience is good. Very soothing and calming feel. Spacious and relaxing.

Staff very accommodating and responsive. All queries/concerns were addressed very quickly. Would definitely come back if in Jakarta.

Two minor points for improvement...would be nice if late checkout could be at 2pm instead of 1pm. Also the communication skills. Tell guests about the expedia+ privileges or upgrades that they have been given/ entitled to rather than having the guest ask or wonder if it was given.

been to jkt few times but 1st time stayed at this hotel. Room was of decent size and staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast not much of a variety but still ok. Our entire 3 nites stayed we had our room cleaned evryday without having to request which is to my liking. One other plus point, this hotel provide self-service laundry and ironing..overall evrythin's fine and will surely be back again..

An enjoyable stay

I stayed in Ayaka Suites for 3 night on business trip. The first time I came out from the lift and walked on the corridor to my room, I wasn't sure that the room would be nice as I expected because from the corridor, it more looked like an apartment than a hotel. But when I entered the room, it really surprised me to see the cleanliness and the neat interior condition. The toiletries are enough except the shower cap which I could not find it. Then I had to call the reception desk asking for it and they sent it right away with the apology that they have missed to prepare it in the bathroom. It wasn't a big problem for me as I found myself could enjoy my stay at night after a whole day tiring business meeting. The location is also not far from Lotte shopping avenue where I can look for various food and it is just 10 minutes walking distance. The only thing that I couldn't enjoy was the menu for breakfast which was almost same each day and guests do not have too much choices. I would suggest the hotel to change their breakfast menu each day so that for guests staying more than 2 nights would not be getting bored having the same breakfast menu every morning. Othet than that, Ayaka Suites is nearly perfect hotel either for solo or business traveller.

Ayaka provides a great accommodation experienc if you are looking for a basic stay. Even though they are tiny, there are gym room, swimming pool, spa etc facilities. I am impressed if the self help laundry room with ironing available at my floor. This offered a big save for traveller during a long trip.

Great hotel though you wouldn't guess from outside

From the street outside my colleagues thought \"oh my God what have you booked\" but as soon as you go into the driveway you come to a lovely new hotel, the staff are very very helpful. The food is good value for money. It's not the best neighbourhood but we knew that before we arrived so as long as you don't plan on walking around through the traffic jams and underpasses then it's a great hotel.

The location for the hotel is not easy to find as it is located in a small lane, it can be easily missed on the turn. The path way to the entrance was very narrow for the car to turn and drop the guest. Lobby was nicely decorated and very spacious. Hotel room was small and the shower head was rusty and mirror was not clean properly. Breakfast spread was limited, porridge was like so lumpy just taste one mouth and dare not eat.

Nice decent hotel with fair value for money

The Ayaka lobby, decor and (apparently some of) rooms are nice and modern.
It seems that some rooms are very nice and new, whereas some of them a bit outdated,especially the toilets. There's not much around the hotel unless you like local street food/joints, but Kuningan City Mall is a short walk away (faster to walk than taxi). Indomaret about 300m away.
The pool area is not that gorgeous but the restaurant and the breakfast is ok/average in Indo standards. Wifi was giving trouble sometimes

I was recommended to stay in this hotel by a friend since it's the closest to the office I have assignment for. I was sceptical in the beginning but changed my mind when I walked into the hotel. The staff gave a warm welcome when I arrived and they are fast with everything - check in, special request and check out. The hotel also serve a good food.
