Amazing Service from The Ritz Carlton Hotel Jakarta

This is our first time stayed in 5 stars hotel. We stayed in this hotel from 7-9 February 2026. My husband booked the Grand Room Club.

At the entrance, everyone were so welcoming. At the receptionist, Pak Azriel who were handing my check-in. I also met Mbak Melanie who i talked on the phone before, to confirm about the check-in time. They were so helpful and pleasant.

We got the room at the 21th floor, plus acces in the Club Lounge at 26th floor. We got the opportunity to have 5 time meal which devided by: Afternoon Tea, Dinner, Cordials & Dessert, Lunch, and Breakfast. For breakfast, we could choose one between take in the 26th floor or Lobby at the Asian Restaurant.

The Club was very excellent! The Manager, Ibu Royana Rasjid, welcomed us always whenever we visited the Club! She was very kind and so helpful! We got some compliments, that was so delightful and copious! Thanks bu!

For the room, we got city view! It was amazing! Everything was so clean and clear. We didn't hear any noise even we face the city.

The pool was also clean and fine! It was in 5th floor. It was like in \"Bali vibes\" so natural and nice.

It such a very wonderful \"staycation\" in The Ritz-Carlton Hotel. Hope i got another chance to stay here.

So i can say that this hotel is very recommended 👍👍👍

the service at the buffet is definately a disaster. the check in was 3 hours. the food was not very fresh. most of all the property and room are very dated like this was 30 years ago. the floor carpet is yellow and smelly. the room is very spacious. the caulking in the bathroom is black.
should not expect a 5 stars but 2 stars on food, customer service and builidning and room condition.

Disappointing experience

We were given a smoking room when we booked a non-smoking room. When we questioned the hotel reception, they insisted that it is a non-smoking room when it obviously smells like one and the house keeping staffs told us it is in fact a smoking floor/room. The hotel management insisted that non-smoking room is not available otherwise until we requested for a refund and miraculously there is a non-smoking room available for us. Wasted a lot of our time to check in.

Hotel room is clean but dated. Breakfast is average. Location is not very convenient from the airport train service. Stayed in 3 different hotels during our trip to Indonesia, unfortunately we have the worst experience at Ritz Carlton Mega Kuningan.

When I searched for hotels that provided transportation to and from the airport on Expedia, this hotel was listed at the top. I booked it solely for that reason to make travel easier. However, they made us pay for transportation to and from the airport which was over $80. How ridiculous as the hotel was quite expensive to begin with. I am very frustrated and will never book with this hotel again.

Wow. Seriously, one of the most value hotels you can get. I got the Mayfair Suite for two nights with Club Lounge access. Meals were all free, and there was an included high tea. Every time I went in, anyone who I had interacted with addressed me by name. Service was top notch. The Club Lounge access is absolutely worth the extra cost.

The room itself was pristine, though since my room was on the 6th floor, it didn’t have the best view. The bathroom was incredibly spacious, and provided amenities made it so I was never missing anything. Housekeeping was also top notch — anytime I wanted to come back to my room to relax, it had been cleaned, with the bed made, but I never actually saw housekeeping. It was magical.

Incredible detail to service. Felt pampered. Will be staying again next time I visit.

I travel quite often and I was amazed by the excellent service provided by the whole team at the Ritz. Special Kudos to Wim at Reception, Jaya at Lobo, Reza and Aris (Sous Chef) at the Club Lounge. The staff were all very attentive and polite, making our stay all the more enjoyable.

The welcome drink was a nice touch.

The rooms were large and generally clean. The beds were big and comfortable and the toilet had 2 sinks which was a plus. We were travelling during Chinese New Year so the small plate of tangerines and chocolates was appreciated.

We tried the breakfast at Asia Restaurant and the spread was huge.

The only thing that requires a little more attention is the house keeping team. There was only one bath robe for my husband and I to share and it was removed the next day by housekeeping This was the same with the tissue box which they did not replenish even though there were only 2 sheets left in the box.

With regard to the facilities in the hotel - the gym was very well maintained and the fitness machines were plentiful and modern. The spa facilities on the other hand were dated and basic.

The hotel does provide a complimentary car service to nearby malls within a 5 minute distance which we liked a lot.

All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Worthy of the 5 star status. Exceeded our expectations.
Room:
Spacious, well furnished, great city view, comfortable large beds (we had a double twin) all amenities like hair dryer iron & ironing board etc.
Decent quality shampoo & shower gel.
Towels were fluffy and smelled good.
Breakfast buffet:
Best breakfast buffet I have experienced, definitely worth the price, at least if you're hungry! Wide variety of quality food, both cold and hot. Omelettes made to order. Coffees teas and delicious smoothies can all be ordered from the table for free. Staff are very helpful.
Lobo restaurant:
The evening restaurant is also recommended, delicious high quality food at a reasonable price. The Onsen Uovo soup is my favourite, you'd pay twice as much for a starter of that quality in London. Worth a visit if you're not too full from the breakfast buffet!
Gym:
Much bigger and better stocked than I expected. Lots of equipment that you would find at a regular gym including bosu ball, exercise balls, aerobic steps. Not too busy. Includes a couple of studios with plenty of mirrors to check form. Towels and bottled water are already placed in treadmill.
Poolside:
Quiet and spacious pool area. No rush to reserve places with towels! Toha in particular was a very helpful and friendly member of staff, and even gave us free ginger tea and orange slices whilst we sat by the pool, which was fantastic. great place to relax for the afternoon.

I luckily got a special rate, which was cheaper than my usual accommodations.
The entrance is hard to reach on foot, the room was spacious, but nothing special and a bit old style, similar to Marriott's.
Long checkin process. Second service is annoying, had a nap and didn't hear the door bell, so they just entered the room.
Minibar totally overpriced.
Was a nice trial, but my first and last stay here.

A nice and traditional grand hotel

Overall, the hotel is nice. Despite the condition is a bit old and not newly furnished, it is very spacious and with amazing services. The fitness centre is my favourite, with very comfy relaxation room. But nearby area lacks of convenient stores or other restaurants, the choice of catering can be improved.

Good Hotel but more expensive than deserved

This wasn’t my first stay in this hotel. However my low score rating is owing to bad experience of room keys, it took six times issue of room card keys to get it right. Another thing I didn’t like was, late purchase made me pay almost 1.7 times the regular prices and such a charge to regular customers is just uncalled for. Club food could be easily better specially people who are vegetarian.

Liked - well done up hotel. Housekeeping seemed to be on top of their game.

Did not like - I got locked out of my room 3 times. No cards worked, including master key cards used by concierge and hotel staff. No explanation offered and nothing to make up for the inconvenience. I was late for my dinner meeting because I had to wait for 30 minutes to get the door unlocked. Frustrating and a terrible experience.

Also, the mattresses are really old (you can feel the springs in them). My suggestion - if you are going to spend that much money, then stay somewhere else

The ritz Carlton Mega Kuningan is a beautiful and grandiose hotel. It has the facilities and amenities you would expect at any five star hotel. What truly makes this hotel unique is the staff and amazing service! From check in to check out the staff catered to our every whim and went way above and beyond normal service. Handwritten notes, complimentary desserts, and long talks with their delightful chefs and both lobo and Asia restaurants, all made our stay so much better. This is the only hotel I will visit in Jakarta from now on!

Very clean hotel. Service is outstanding. I’m an Indonesian woman living abroad for longer than 20 years. When I am in Indonesia I’m looking for real Indonesian food. As for breakfast and dinner. I’ll be looking for jamu to drink. When I was there they didn’t have jamu during breakfast. When the manager asked me if I still missed anything I told him that it would be great to have jamu. He went up to the kitchen, get me the different tastes I’d like, came back and gave it to me. Very great service! Thank you

It was our first stay the Ritz in JKT and it was a lovely experience. Beginning from the hospital staff making sure a few days in advance that our needs were met and planning sweet surprises after finding out more abt the purpose of our stay. I would like to thank in particular, Intan, for being a wonderful hotel guest relations staff, and prompt responses. Overall, everyone at the Ritz were very professional, polite and made for a pleasant stay. :)

An Okay Stay

The hotel room was very clean, which I liked. The only issue, small one though, that there's bad smell coming out from the shower area drainage after we used the shower. I also noticed that the tub was not cleaned again during the cleaning time. Did not make noise to the hotel that time as we stayed for short while only. Bed was comfortable, firm yet comfortable. The bed size was huge. The hotel room was very big. The only thing that I would loved more is if the lighting could be brighter. We ordered room service for dinner and breakfast, and they came in pretty fast. Food was good. Only feedback if they can take into consideration is, that if the glasses were wrapped for cover, then it should also be the same for crackers. I did not know how long the crackers were left open and thinking of the dirt/dust/someone sneezes on it kind of turned me off. Ordered with free parking, and was given a form at reception to sign and filled in the car plate number and ensured that it will be in the system, so the the car will not be charged automatically based on the plate number. But driver was asked for our room number in order to entitle for the free parking even though the car plate number was already registered (supposedly the day before). Small issue as the parking fee was not that much, but such an inconvenience and so much for system. The hotel staff were all polite.

VIP and intimate experience at Ritz Carlton

this is the another experience at the Ritz to bring it up another notch.
I was experiencing some problem booking my usual Mayfair Suite on line as it was a wedding weekend at the hotel.
left a message with the hotel to try to help me.

when I arrived I was told the good news that they have managed to find a suite for me ; waited painlessly at the executive lounge for about an hour while they prepare the suite while I was being served an afternoon tea set.

Most of the regular staff do recognise and remember my name and is greeted with big warm smiles and makes me feel like returning home.

One of the best hotel in the world.

As a world traveler from USA in the past 32 years doing business in many countries in Asia and always stay in 5 star hotels as much as possible, I experienced that Ritz is one of the best in the world. Ritz set a high standard for high quality in many areas. Very quiet and cold air condition unit, very comfortable bed, spacious room, very detail and thoughtful design of bathroom, very friendly snd helpful staff. This is a high quality hotel management that gives me a very pleasant experience.
