My partner and I stayed 7 nights at Rustic River Boutique and it became our little home away from home! The girls were so lovely and always helpful. Delicious coffee and tea downstairs from the cafe at the hotel and a gorgeous common area to chill out or do some work. The location was perfect for us and spoilt for choice with local restaurants (highly recommend Ivy). Everything was walkable also or just a short grab.

Best value for such a low price. Very clean. Staff is very accommodating. Used their laundry service and had it ready earlier than usual so we could catch a flight. Rent a scooter through them. Made it very convenient. Spent one night there and booked it for another night days later when we had to spend an unscheduled extra night in town.

Super Nice and friendly staff, that always would be there with a Helping hand. Only little tiny downside was that the aircon didnt function properly, so the room was Got very hot (even though we are in february). The hotel is around 15 min walk from east gate, so not so many turists. We would def. Recommend it and Will return ❤️❤️🧘‍♀️

I was surprisingly pleased at my choice. I relied on the reviews to choose and am happy with my decision. Mai, the manager, is an absolute sweetheart. Goes way out of her way to assist. The place was very clean and the property in very good shape and modernization. Streets a bit noisy, especially in the day, but in the back m, I didn’t hear street noise. View wasn’t much but it was walking dish to everything. I’d chose it again.

The Rustic River Boutique is really sweet. The design is unique, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the included breakfast menu is amazing. The location is walking distance from the Warorot market, and when you check in they will give you a map of some good restaurants nearby. The rooms are simple but pleasant and kept clean. I would stay here again!

Absolutely loved my stay at Rustic River Boutique. Such a charming little place with lovely boutique touches and zero pretentiousness.

The room was spotlessly clean, the towels were very soft and the choice of breakfast which is included, was the perfect way to start my day.

What impressed me most about this hotel were the staff, I was always greeted with a smile, asked about my day, they provide a custom made map of the local area which not only highlights good food spots but it gives a little description to help you decide on where to eat.

It's the little touches that can make a stay perfectly easy and relaxing, Rustic River Boutique Hotel do all the little things correctly.

I would highly recommend you stay here and next time I'm in Chiang Mai, I will definitely staying here again.

Rustic river was so-so. It was a room for us and that’s it. Service was nothing special and there was an odor that filtered throughout the hotel. Location is good as it is easy to walk to a bunch of places we wanted to stay. If you’re looking for a place that will go the extra mile, this is not it, but if you’re looking for a place that will hold your luggage and for you to crash, then it’s a good price.

I got a room at the ground level of the hotel and it was super small with a window looking out on a wall. Upgrade to a room on the upper level, way better!
Also this room doesn't have a decent lock (no one in the hotel).
After a couple of days I felt like I got some attitude of the staff and I have no idea why.
The breakfast is great!

Not sure if I would come back here.

REASONABLE NICE PLACE TO STAY

I got to know of Rustic River Boutique while booking through expedia. I always liked rustic woody furnishing so the Hotel naturally attracted me.
The lobby is cozy and the rooms are clean and clean. We had very good sleep throughout our 4 nights. Rooms cleaned every day, towels are changed and bed are tidied up daily too. Breakfast is simple but tasty . You choose 1 breakfast from the menu given. There is hair dryer in the room and iron provided if needed

The location is great. 20 mins drive to and fro to airport, 10 mins drive to Central Festival Mall (highly recommend to eat and shop there). 10 mins drive to PLOEN RUEDEE NIGHT MARKET and conveniently located to many other places.

The only setback was the shower area where I feel the tiles needed to be replaced or overlaid as it looks badly stained. And the lobby bathroom area as a very dam smell that is unpleasant.

Other than that its a hotel I would high recommend for the price we paid

Get more than you pay for

Rustic River was the perfect choice for staying in Chiang Mai under a tight budget. I definitely got a lot more than I expected considering the price. Breakfast is made fresh to order every morning. The staff is very friendly and will gladly assist with any events or trips you want to schedule. The only drawbacks are no elevator and appro 10 min walk to main shopping bazaars. 4th floor with luggage is no fun. Outside of that I would highly recommend staying here.

Nice.little.hotel very near to the riverside area for.bars and restaurants. Room was nice and as per pictures however id recommend a room at the rear as room.8.which we were.in is on front of hotel and subject to relentless traffic noise day and to a lesser.extent over night too which was disappointing.

Wonderful, inexpensive hotel in Chiangmai. Rooms are very clean and well air-conditioned. May seem a bit out of the way on the map, but about 10 minutes to the Thapae gate and very quiet at night. The included breakfast was awesome - you get to choose from a menu every morning, and they serve you your meal with juice and fresh fruit. The lobby has free filtered water, so you can bring a reusable water bottle. The front desk staff were super knowledgeable - we booked tickets to Pai through them and asked suggestions for things to do, which they were able to provide. Overall, great place to stay in Chiangmai, especially for the price!

He is a brilliant young gentleman who also works at the Hotel fixing things when necessary. He told me that he personally worked on renovating the building and converting it to the small, rustic hotel. Way to go!!

This was a very nice place with super friendly staff. It was close to to China Town, the old city and the river. The rooms were spacious and clean with some comfortable facilities. Value for money was excellent.
There were only two negatives for me, as follows;
The rooms lock with a padlock, because this is a very hard thing to do in a silent way, other guests can wake you up in the night (including us to others). Breakfast can be a little sparse.
However, a nice stay overall.

The hotel initially failed to imphtful map supplied forress with request/demand straight up for a key deposit of 500baht. If you had come straight from the plane this could be a major problem. However on further acquaintance the thoughtful map supplied so you taxi could find your hotel a mud map of local restaurants and a guide to prices showed a thoughtful mind to those new in town. Overall a first rate experience.

I don't really recommend this hotel. It's more of a hostel, the room is tiny and there's not much to offer. Breakfast is free but you will have to pay for even an extra slice of toast. I stayed on the ground floor and was woken up every morning at 5am by the staff who prepare breakfast etc. Travellers on a budget should spend $10-15/night more and get a very nice hotel such as Thapae Loft.

We loved this hotel. Adorable design, very clean rooms, excellent and accommodating staff, great laundry service and location is KEY. Also we were able to book day trips (i.e., thai cooking lessons which i also highly reccommend, spa services, etc.) through the staff as well. Plus, they serve an amazing free breakfast in the morning and great coffee. Would not have wanted to stay anywhere else. Only downside was the mattress was hard as a rock and the room was either too hot or too cold (which could be due to operator error LOL) but otherwise, this hotel was perfect!

Rustic by name, rustic by nature

we arrived very early morning and the room wasnt ready which wasnt a problem, we left our bags and headed into the local area. We stayed on the ground floor for 1 night and then we returned after spending a night in the elephant sanctuary, we left our main luggage with them too whilst we were away and then had a room on the top floor. No lifts which is downside and no-one to assist with luggage. Having said that, staff were all very friendly and polite and as others have said, breakfast is cooked fresh and coffee is nice too. There isnt a huge amount going on, on the street this is on which is great but the river is a ten minute walk and into the main centre square is avout 20 mins walk. we stayed uring the water festival and was a great spot. would stay again, it was a no frills experience but pleasant enough to revisit

This place is close to the river, Night Bazaar, and other markets. Across the bridge there are restaurants and bars. It's good for a night's stay to check out a different area of Chiang Mai instead of being in old city the entire time. The room was comfortable and I felt safe
