I Can find Better

My stay at Urban Central Suites was not as satisfactory as I had hoped. While the location was great, I found the overall experience lacking in several areas. The amenities didn’t quite meet the standards advertised. Customer service was great but they charged me extra for allowing my kid sleeping in the couch. It wasn’t terrible, but I was definitely expecting more for the price.

Staff was warm and welcoming and very insisted on helping with anything possible. I was allowed early check in and decided to extend my stay because of hotel as a whole including staff and proximity to everything. Highly recommended.

Everything was terrible. From the check-in experience to the smelly room. I had to wait for more than 30 minutes for some weird phone conversation between the receptionist and the manager to \"find\" my reservation. It was not welcoming and it was stressful. The AC does not work properly either. What else... I can't remember all the negatives I experienced.

This hotel sustained a lot of damage from the Beirut explosion in August, but you wouldn’t know it. The hotel has been rebuilt and refurbished. The rooms are clean and the staff were extremely responsive to any request. My husband needed a quiet area to work and they provided a space for him right away. Hats off to all the staff. Ghina, Rakan and Elie were excellent ambassadors to the well known Lebanese hospitality.

The hotel is not bad esthetically but the service is VERY disappointing. They made me pay for damages that I'm not sure I CAUSED although we didn't even complain about how dirty the cover of the bedsheets were (the one that comes on the bottom of the bed). Then they accused me of STEALING a towel!!! A towel yes!!! and wanted to make us pay for it on top of the damage charges for the nonexistent damage done! After leaving, I was furious so I called the hotel again to share my disappointment and all they said was \"okay\" instead of trying to make it right. I love and enjoy hotel stays usually but will never visit this hotel again.

A fantastic hotel in Beirut

I had an amazing stay at Urban Suites despite the fact that there was a lot of rioting & a revolution going on. Despite that, I felt safe at the hotel & I received outstanding customer service. I especially wanted to recognize an employee who was exceptional, professional and also extraordinarily helpful. Nisrine was so nice, very calming with all that was occurring & friendly, she made my stay memorable & I hope she gets recognized because she helped me have a wonderful experience despite the difficulties that were occurring in the city.

The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable, they made my holiday stress free. They booked taxi and private tour for me, I have to say their service is absolutely spots on. The room is big and has been cleaned in the highest standard and wifi is very fast The food is also amazing, their cooked breakfast is so delicious and has plenty of choices, that chef is a hidden gem in Beirut!

Very nice hotel in Beirut if you rent a car - 15 min driving from the airport and also very close to the city centre. There's nothing to do in the area if you don't have a car though. Our room was very modern, spacious and clean, people were also super friendly. Breakfast was okay

The minute i stepped in the hotel with my wife, the staff was Very helpful and welcoming. The hotel is modern and well decorated, clean and spacious, room was big and comfortable. The room is luxurious and can be qualified for a 5 Star room easily.
The breakfast have a huge spread of food and include a live station breakfast (live cooking) with a huge international and lebanese dishes! It was very tasty and the service was perfect. The area of the hotel is well surrounded by shops, pharmacies and restaurants, which is very useful. Would highly recommend!

The sofa bed in really unconfortable , very poor confort - hard to sleep there. The internet is unstable and signal was going back and forth all the time. Breakfast is good, but same food every day- lack of varierity. Rooms are very clean. Parking is free. Staff Adam and Charbel were very friendly and tried to acomodate our needs.

The facilities and location were nice. But I had a persistent problem with internet in my room, that my friends didn't have. I consistently felt like the hotel was trying to upcharge me and get more money out of me. This was unpleasant for me and my family. We did not have a relaxing experience at the hotel. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to a friend. Had the service and internet been better, I think it could have been a much nicer stay.

This is the second time my family and I use the hotel and certainly will not be the last. The hotel is new with a nice contemporary decor. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and more importantly very clean. Each room contains a small, well equipped kitchenette, that comes handy for long stays. The staff is friendly, courteous and always willing to help. My family and I travel a lot to Europe and other countries and visit too many hotels during a year, however we find Urban central suites hotel to be one of the best hotels we visited so far. We highly recommend it.

awkward location but value for money is ok

Hotel is located in an awkward location and the access to it is a little off. But the staff are very nice and the room exceeds expectations for the price you pay. It’s not a star and barely a 4 star but it’s ok overall good for a day or two.

I don't understand why there is not a long line of people out the door trying to get into this hotel. It is awesome. Great, friendly staff; very practical and clean rooms; close to good restaurants and stores; also close to Lebanese University. The food is great (breakfast, dinner, whatever) at the hotel's restaurant, and also the rooftop bar is fun.
Highly recommended by me!

We reserved two one-bedroom suites for eight nights. Spacious, quiet, tastefully furnished annd adequately accommodating. The best part is the friendly, pleasant and helpful staff from Front desk to housekeeping. No restrictions on visitors is a definite added plus.

Hotel was clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, the staff brought the star rating down due to unprofessionalism and not knowing how important customer service is. We stayed in this hotel for 4 weeks. 1st issue was we were told that there was not availability when we tried to book a longer stay (initially only booked for 1 week) unless we paid triple what we originally did. This was not true as my daughter booked an additional 3 weeks online vs dealing with the staff. 2nd issue: room was not restocked properly-no towels, no coffee, etc. 3rd issue; after booking a room online for an upgraded room, we were told that was not available but we could stay in our current room (which was at a cheaper rate but were not offered a difference in $). 4th issue: as we were checking out, we were accused of taking a foot towel. Yes a foot towel!! Lol. They charged us for a foot towel which is absolutely ridiculous. We went back and forth with Elias (hotel staff) and told him to check all of our luggage. Another staffer was telling him to back off which he wouldn't. Now, who would take a foot towel??? Overall not a great experience with the staff but the hotel was near where we needed to be so it worked. We literally just slept there.

Modern, stylish hotel. But service can be improved

We Unfortunately had a few mishaps during our check-in and stay that took away from having a smooth short vacation in Beirut.
At check-in, the two rooms I booked for the family were assigned on different floors. I was concerned that my girls would be on a separe floor from ours. But this concern did not seam to resonate with Glad, the customer associate who was checking us in, neither did she try to offer alternatives.
Secondly, the hotel wanted to charge me $25 for the third person in the room although my prepaid booking was explicitly made with three people in each room on hotels.com with a prepaid total price. I declined the extra bed and had my young child sleep on a blanket on the floor!
Also, the AC in one of the rooms didn't work well the first night; it was fixed the second day, but we had a miserable first night.
The hotel furnishings are modern and stylish. The glass side table looked good, but it certainly wasn't sturdy. While getting out of bed I tipped it and it shattered into pieces. The hotel charged me $90 for it :(
WiFi in the room allowed one device connection at one time. Kids not happy.
The hotel is modern and clean. It's situated with easy access to east, west and north areas. Parking was not a problem.
Joe, hotel GM, followed up with a phone call after I arrived in the States which I really appreciated; but it was obviously too late.
May consider the hotel again, but will be careful that my booking details are not automatically accounted for.

Exceptionally large clean rooms in new hotel

The rooms are ultra spacious with lovely decore. The area is not central, nor touristy, but it really depends on what you're in Beirut for. The staff are super helpful and sweet. Comfortable beds, a small kitchenette area and more cupboards, desks and closets than you will ever need. The TV stations are of full satellite channels (not like usual hotels with a selected list of channels, so that's really great).

I also stayed at the deluxe one bedroom apartment and the size is again, unbelievable and comfortable. It's larger than many one bedroom flats I have seen.

Great hotel but be prepared to trek at least half an hour to get to anywhere central in Beirut by car.
