The rooms are dated and poorly maintained. Let’s start with cleanliness, this was most disturbing, dead roach in bathroom, dead flies and mosquitoes in shower and on bathroom floor. White towels and wash rags all had yellow stains and frayed.
- The toilet took 4-5 flushes to get even a piece of tissue to go down. You have to hold the handle down for an extended period to get any flushing action. It had hard water and chipped marks all over very off putting so we used tissue to layer the seat.
-Beach towels were washed out and also had stains though they were coloured. Bed sheets and pillow cases all had stains even the window drapery had huge black stains.
- The entry door needed a sweeper so bugs and lizard could not get in as you can see right under. We used a beach towel to block them out.
- air conditioning unit was newer and works very efficiently to cool the room.
- the only light in the stairwell went out form the first night and it was never replaced. We didn’t say anything because it kept the large lizards away.
- we appreciate it was a cheaper option for us as we just needed a safe clean room to rest at nights with full days/evenings spent off site to attend the events we came in for. It’s a very old site but cleanliness and upkeep missed every mark in the unit.
- the grounds were beautifully maintained.
- The beach was also well maintained.
- Security was on point and very helpful
- the younger server at Breakfast was delightful, very friendly and efficient.

1) Had to be close to the reception area inorder to make use of their Wi-Fi. - no service in the rooms. 2) No, shampoo or conditioner, even the tiny bottles, only tiny soaps you can hardly use. 3) Bed sheets that do not match (bottom was white linen, top was orange! 😆) and not \"fitted\" 4) had to almost be a \"mechanical engineer\" to figure out where to dial the fixture to get hot water in the shower. 5) The BIGGY: The \"main coarse\" of the so called \"continental breakfast\" was cereals and coffee and you have to constantly fight hungry flies and cats. It has its pluses but that will be for another time.

We stayed for 2 nights, staff was great especially the wait staff, Kimesha Brown, she was excellent to the point that we overlooked that she was the only person waiting. Continental breakfast was good, would have loved it if we could have chosen fried egg instead of boiled egg. The view was superb and the pool was great and warm for a night swim.
Overall this was a good property but the property really needs to be upgraded, most amenities were outdated, a prime example was the blow dryer, seemed like it was from the 90s and did not work.

I have stayed in 100s of places in Jamaica as I had been traveling there for over 20 years.
We left on day 3 of 9 because it’s unsafe to stay here.
The room we were in had a sliding glass door that came right off the tracks and literally almost fell on me.
You could pop it right out.
As a result we felt as if at any point anyone could enter the room

Outside on our “patio” there was a massive leak from the pipes which led to a lot of mosquitoes.

You had to pay for mini fridge 10 bucks a day if you want to keep anything cold in your room to drink or store leftovers.

Beyond one waitress and the guy that works the beach the staff at the front desk were cold and not very friendly.

The pool is great
The location is great

But the rooms are very worn down

The TV had a crackling sound so watching anything was unenjoyable … during rain season this would be very disappointing.

Understandably the WiFi is spotty due to the hurricane last year I couldn’t Even connect.

The breakfast included is terrible so plan to spend 15 bucks per person on an actual breakfast. That being said the food was good.

It just isn’t worth the price you are paying.

The massages were amazing though so go get one of those even if you aren’t staying there.

Overall, my experience at the resort was excellent. The atmosphere, service, and overall ambiance made for a very enjoyable stay. However, there were a few inconveniences that affected the experience. The water pressure was quite low, and there was no hot water available throughout the entire weekend, which was disappointing. Additionally, the absence of a fridge and microwave in the room made things less convenient than expected. With improvements in these areas, the stay would have been near perfect.

Very disappointed. No Wi-Fi was available in the room during the entire stay. We had to sit in the bar or use mobile data. The staff were extremely slow. At breakfast, it took 40 minutes to an hour for someone to come and take our order, another 40 minutes to serve the food, and another 30 minutes to process payment. The card machine did not always work. I paid in cash once and waited 20 minutes for the waitress to bring my change. I had to leave without receiving it because I had a boat waiting for me. In total, it took two hours in the restaurant.
This was our third time staying at the hotel, as we liked the less crowded beach compared to other hotels, but it will be our last due to the very poor service throughout the entire stay.

We had a rough 1st week. Checked in on Jan30th. Perhaps still some issues post Hurricane Melissa. Our Block 2 had power issues for 2 days. I sleep with a CPAP and so does my sister and power in our block only, went out at 12:30 at night. An electrician came the next day and fixed the problem but a couple of hours later power was lost again. By this time the resort was running on a generator so every one else had power but our block did not. Thankfully the electrician was called back and had the issue fixed before bedtime. The second week went much better. Generator no longer needed. Also there was a Lady Boss who came the second week, who assessed work needed and we could see work being done around the property.

I was not happy with the fact that we had to pay to have a fridge in the room. The closet light had a mechanism to turn on when it’s opened but it stayed on throughout the stay even when we closed the closet so it could turn off. They even tried to use duct tape to fix it but it never worked. It looked more like an eyesore. For dining, the staff was very friendly and professional and the food was good but the downside to that was there were too many flies around that it made the food undesirable. If there was a way to better tackle the flies issue then I would be able to enjoy the dining experience a bit more. Before I left the property after checking out, one of the staff at the gate didn’t acknowledge us as we were leaving and seemed like she was mad that we were taking so long to get out. If those can be fixed. I might come back for my next trip.

The property was nice, the staff was great. Dale at the restaurant was our server everyday always upbeat abd very pleasant dale was just great. There was another lady at the bar also great dont remember her name. The pool was clean the checkin was easy we even got an extended checkout which was great. Our only issue was the room there were ants and bugs all over the lamps and bathroom. Most were dead, so just maybe wipe down the lamps and spray the place to kill them. The tiles are older version would be nice if they could modernize the flooring. Otherwise its really quiet and we will be back. This was my second time here. The continental breakfast options are very limited for a Jamaican. We wanted a fish for lunch and basically couldnt get it the menu was too much in to an American we are jamaicans so variety is needed.

Didn't like that the room was not equipped with a mini fridge and was told that o ly ocean view rooms have fridges and if i need a fridge i have to rent one for $8 per day. Ice bucket was dirty became it had hair braids in it as if it was used as a storage for hair which means that the room was not checked prior. The patio chairs had no cushions. Food was tasteless.. staff looked unhappy.

The resort is really run down. We've been going to this place for 12 years and watched it slowly go down hill but this year was the worst. Handful of staff, no coffee in the room, lucky if you got face clothes and food is running on a shoestring. Other places to go in negril so definitely not recommended.

The staff was great, the management was not! We arrived on Feb 8th for a 10 day stay. There had been a huge storm on the 6th that left the entire 7 mile beach covered in several feet of seaweed and debris. Many of the other resorts were clearing their beachfront. Rooms management did not make their cleanup a priority. One guest offered to pay for the cleanup but management refused. We took a catamaran cruise on the 15th, where we could see the entire beach. The beach in front of Rooms and a couple surrounding properties was the worst, most others had already been cleared.

The balcony on this visit unfortunately was a view of a neighbouring parking lot. The shower pressure was low but sufficient. This is quite an old property that has had some renovation. The room I was allocated was extremely dark and furnished with very old wooden furniture. The only light to the room was provided by a single bedlamp which was not adequate. The bathroom was ok and was newer than the rest of the room. There was a tea/coffee machine in the room and an ice bucket. You had to go to the kitchen with your ice bucket if you required ice for your room as the ice machine was out of order for the two days I stayed there.

The swimming pool had an out of order notice on too for the duration of my stay.

The continental breakfast is ok but challenging for one member of staff to serve multiple guests.

The beach was good. However, the hotel keeps its sunbeds and umbrellas behind a wall away from the beach- so there is no shade from the sun when you are not in the water- not good when its 35 degrees outside!

I would not choose to stay here again.

Absolutely worst experience in Negril!! Check in was supposed to be at 3PM, I arrived at 5PM only for them to tell me my room was not yet ready as it was not clean yet. Then had me wait an additional two hours for room to be cleaned. I ended up checking in at 7 PM which messed up my evening plans.

Staff at front could not offer me anything but two complimentary drinks. When asked to speak to manager, they told me no manager would be available for my entire stay (how convenient). A couple that came in after me had their room available before me. It was so rude and disgusting. They charged me and extra $8 a day for a refrigerator, which should had been compensated at that point.

The room is so tiny, and there was absolutely no wi-fi in the room. The complimentary breakfast is a joke, do not count on that. And bar drinks are awful. The beach front is nice, but they have a dirty wall blocking the beautiful view. Would I ever stay here again, hell nooo!! I ended up extending my trip by three days and I left from this poor customer service place 😡😡

What I did not like was, the room furniture needs to be updated and better maintained. We also had to go up several flights of stairs with our luggages, because there was no bellman to help, however we happened to catch the security guards who were very helpful. The neighbours and animals around the hotel made it very difficult to sleep sometimes because the roosters crow night and day and the dogs bark constantly thought the night and early mornings. Unfortunately I only went into the water once because no one told us to be carefully of jellyfish in the water and I got sting twice on both hands. Overall we tried to make the best of our one week vacation stay. (And when you need a taxi in Negril ask front desk to call Donald Blake he is the best in the area)

Other than the location, I was very disappointed with this hotel. The door key didn’t work so we had to go to the front desk every day. The remote didn’t have batteries. They never cleaned the room or offered at least clean towels. The servers at the terrible food restaurant were rude and unfriendly. The ice machine didn’t work. The pool was out of service. People on the beach were very aggressive.

Firstly, my room was not cleaned because of lack of persons to do so. I had a two night stay.
There was fungal growth on the ball near the bed.
The AC unit has a temperature indication which is far too bright. I did not sleep well the first night due to this. The second night, I had to use a towel to cover it to cut down on the brightness in the room.

Loved the location on the beach, friendly staff and breakfast menu. Didn't like the loud music - next door to Woodstock and Roots. Interrupted sleep often.

Great location and beach with friendly, helpful, staff. Needs some maintenance of buildings, ex. painting and the cleaning up of the operational road area. Many good, small restaurents near by. Needs better WiFi service.
