Sewage access/smell from shower area
We had a late night arrival (11:30)from a ferry and wanted a place close to the port. The owner said she would be available via phone at any time; however when we called her near arrival, she did not pick up or call back. She did accommodate the late check in by having the key ready on the door but did not turn on the AC as she had proposed.
The main problem was this: The room we had was the economy double room - if you think about reserving this room - DO NOT DO IT. The room itself was clean but upon entering, there was a terrible SEWAGE smell. The bathroom has a door but it turned out that in the shower area, there was a sewage access cap (aside from the normal drain) which was the source of the smell that permeated through the closed door. Since the owner did not pick up the phone, we could not see if any other accommodation was available. We opened the window but there was some thudding noises - probably the pool pump system.
From other reviews, it seems the other rooms were fine but from this visit, never again would stay here due to the sewage smell.
