However my main problem with this hotel is that you have to hold the shower head. I prefer to stand under a shower, so this was an issue for me.

Excellent location. Stayed twice as a family of 4 and had very different rooms each time. Both fine, but second room on the ground floor was MUCH larger which was great with teenage kids. Good value compared to other accommodation we found in Slovenia.

Does exactly what it says on the advert really. Basic and not expensive, in the perfect location. I’d stay again due to the proximity to everything you want in the city. But rooms are very basic, small, and bathrooms aren’t great. Staff not particularly helpful or welcoming. But I suppose what can you expect for 3 star.

Decent for a one night stay. It’s close to the square and walking distance from all main attractions; location is the best thing about it. Unfortunately we were not advised before hand that parking needs to be reserved for a reduced fee. We had to park in the underground nearby for a larger fee. The room had a safe but was missing a battery; when we received a new battery, the safe still didn’t work. The bathroom is tiny. Overall, good for a quick stop but would t recommend for multiple nights due to lack of comfort. Service was okay.

The beds are very uncomfortable (you only get own really flat pillow so prepare for a sore neck), the shower temperature fluctuates and the A/C unit was extremely noisy.
Despite the convenient location, I can’t recommend for anyone to stay here.

This was a great location and I liked that they had sodas and water for sale in the lobby. My daughter enjoyed her massage as well. Loved the A/C. The shower head kept coming off and water would go all over the bathroom floor. Would help if there was a door with the shower. Bed was super comfortable. No kettle in the room and breakfast would have been nice if a little more was offered.

You can’t beat the location- right in the middle of the old town, a short walk to all the major attractions! Within a short walk to the bus and train station too!
Clean, fairly modern, well appointed rooms. The building looks old, but the rooms themselves are more modern. My only complaint was that my bathroom was tiny. Very shallow sink, tiny shower cubicle and toilet, squeezed into a small space. Manageable as a solo traveller, but there’s no shelf for toiletries in the shower (no room) and you have to squeeze past the sink (which covers half the shower entrance), which could be tricky for some. Water was plentiful and hot, and the hotel was fairly quiet. All in all, an excellent hotel in the heart of the city!

Very nice stay and in the heart of the walking area only streets. Only downside is the parking. Be aware that you will need to park at parking garage. One is 45 Euros a day and is about a block away. The other parking garage is about 8 min walk and is 13 Euros a day. Very comfortable beds!

The room looked nothing like the ones in the website. The bathroom was dated and the bedroom was OK but basic. It’s a bit like a hostel room. The location is amazing so for the price it was probably about right but the photos are misleading.

The best thing about Emonec Hotel is the location which is in the heart of Ljubljana, just off Preseren square. It makes visiting Ljubljana city very possible on foot. You are also surrounded by nice cafes and restaurants outside your hotel and long the river. The bedrooms are in separate buildings but all near each other and it's quite private. The room was clean but compact, perfect for a few days in Ljubljana.

Our stay here was amazing - when we arrived, the concierge helped us by letting us use his phone as my girlfriends luggage was lost when we came in on the bus. On checkout, we had a 2 hour window until we left Ljubljana, and the concierge kindly let us keep our luggage in the secured room and an extra important bag behind the desk with her.
Their kindness in that stressful time was very much appreciated, and the hotel itself was great. The room was very spacious with and extremely close all amenities.

The safe didn’t work, with an alarm beeping if you put the battery back into it, so left the battery out (as we found it). No TV signal or channels on the TV, so took the batteries from the TV remote to use for the AC remote, which had no batteries in it - once we did this the AC worked fine.

My husband and I only stayed at Hotel Emonec for 1 night. It was a small, basic hotel with no frills but suited us fine. The hotel itself has a weird layout and we had to carry our suitcase up 3 flights of stairs and through a maze of corridors (with no lift). It was fine for us, but I imagine those with mobility issues would struggle. Also, there was no luggage rack in our room which was a struggle as we had to lay our opened suitcase in the middle of the floor and walk around/over it. However, in terms of location this hotel is excellent! It is bang in the centre of Ljubljana's main streets. We appreciated being so close to all the attractions and restaurants.

My stay here was very pleasing. I had a great time in Slovenia and can’t wait to go back. The hotel is very close to everything and centrally located. The only thing I didn’t like were the pillows since they were very u and hard compared to the mattress. Also, they charged me ahead of time without notice and before the stipulated date. Other than that the stay was excellent.

If location is key, then this is the place for all as it is a 1 minute walk from Perseren square and the three bridges to the old town. Hotel room was comfortable and clean and while we had some issues with faulty lightbulbs, the hotel receptor ( Mario Peranovic) was very helpful and courteous with his prompt assistance. Would go back there without any hesitation.

Our room itself was massive, with two single beds (pushed together to form a double) in the first room, then two single beds and a dining table in a secondary bedroom. Lots of cupboard space. The bathroom was of a good size and meticulously clean.
The only thing that I really wanted was a little refrigerator, which could easily be tucked inside one of the cabinets. My husband also pointed out that there were no paintings or wall decor whatsoever, but my understanding is the the hotel is undergoing renovation.
A reasonable price for a last-minute room, especially considering the location. I would stay here again, especially if they add refrigerators.

There are some good things about this hotel, some not. The location is good for walking, atrocious for parking. At least there was discounted parking at an offsite location, but be prepared to huff it with your bags. The room condition was decent. However, the AC didn’t work properly, there are not enough outlets to charge your devices, and the shower is handheld shower head only. Breakfast hours were limited and had to be scheduled. This was blamed on Covid, but no other Slovenian hotels did this. Breakfast was good, however, as was the service.

This is an excellent location in the centre of the city. However I was terribly disappointed that the hotel room had no windows !! Just a small high-up skylight. The room was also incredibly small, with very little space to hang things. I could give this place no more than a 2.5/5.
