The cabin was so clean and extremely comfortable. There was some nice mood lighting touches in the cabin and air conditioning that could be controlled on a panel in the cabin.
The view from the lift area was amazing, you could see the castle. The staff were very friendly and really helpful. The hotel is in a perfect area, just a short walk from the river, I couldn’t have asked to stay in a better hotel.

The cabins are great - very fun to stay in and warm and comfortable. The common areas of the hostel could be improved - there are a lot of rooms sharing one tiny kitchen and a very small number of showers. The laundry area is one machine. But the place was always clean and there is plenty of seating. Location is fantastic, easy walk to the attractions of the city and a safe and vibrant area.

This is a hostel it is not a hotel

This is not a hotel it is a hostel. The space is very limited cannot move around have the room is shared one lower bunk bed and upper bunk bed, but different doors so there is a privacy, but you can hear the people above you, ideal for backpackers, but not ideal for people with disabilities and seniors.

One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at. Liked it so much I went back a second time. The staff is very nice and fun to hang out with (thanks Eva!). And the patio on the rooftop has the best views of Ljubljana. Can’t go wrong if you are a budget traveler in Slovenia. Hvala! :)

24h real life people at reception!! They were incredibly friendly, informative and helpful. Luggage storage after checkout, my pod was so much fun and perfect for the night and a solo traveller! Only downside was the pod above mine seemed to creak a LOT! So maybe I just got unlucky (otherwise I’d book a top bed next time)

If this hostel is good for young people

This is not a hotel it’s a hostel and the room is about 3 m x 3 meter and half of it belong to the other side so the bed you have to crawl to get into bed the upper bunkbed which have a separate entrance is noisy we can hear Them shouting.

Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast at the hostel was very good with a lot of options. They had shared washrooms, but also some you could have privacy (toilet, sink, shower in closed in room)- very impressive which i've never seen anywhere else! The art on the walls, the rooftop views and ability to chill and have a drink at night was spectacular!

They had a kitchen that people were using that worked very well. Machines available for drinks/snacks and staff available to get alcohol or drinks. The smaller single cubes were very tiny, but were big enough for what they were for- a place for your stuff, a desk and stool, a storage place for clothes/etc. And rhe bed of course. I appreciated the variable color light control- super cool. I'd definitely come back!

We loved this hotel, the staff were great but could be doing with more of them at times as only one person dealing with both the reception and the bar with a queue at each side, I left after 15 minutes having still not been served. Other than that the place is in a great location, was pretty clean, had a good vibe, good facilities, I'd definitely stay again.

Quirky place that is clean, comfy, and has a great little rooftop bar/ coffee/ hangout area. Positive youth hostel vibe and helpful staff. The rooms are small (come truly compact) but clean and the crazy ability to change the room lighting color is good fun. Breakfast was pricey, but I’d stay here again.

Overall I was extremely impressed with this hostel. For a hostel I was thinking the room was going to have others staying in there but it was a private room. Additionally, the staff was great and super helpful! My only complain was the bathrooms weren’t the cleanest, but I just chalk that up to so many people using them! Besides that it was fantastic and I’d 1000% recommend and stay there again!

Amazing design to the room. Such an amazing idea for best use if space while ensuring privacy for each perosn staying.
Its like staying in a bunk bed room split into half. But divided into two, so the top bunk has a separate divider to the bottom bunk, so you access then from different room doors and have your own small private sound prrof space.

Very conveniently located close to the bus station and trains right in the centre of Llubljana. Easy acces to buy food in shops and restaurants and bars.
Easy access for tours as well.

Very clean room and bathrooms and toilets were cleaned regularly.

I booked not fully understanding the Fuzzy Logs concept. Its essentially an elevated backpackers at the top of a hotel . Its cheap and if your on a budget or young on a tour of the area you will likely enjoy it. Sadly I am a bit old for a matress on the floor , and sharing bathrooms with students.

The cabins are terribly small. The pictures don’t quite show how small. The mattress was dented by bodyweight. It is quite noisy. The person sleeping on the cabin above/below is that close to you, there is unavoidably a lot of unwanted noise.
The city tax makes this, for what it is, not worth its money.

Great in Principle, Poorly Executed

Whilst the idea of having a cheap hostel that has individual rooms is a great one, the Fuzzy Log just misses the mark on so many little things. The small rooms are so hot, and the Aircon barely works. This is partly because the unit is installed with the air blowing out straight into a wall and inch away rather than into the room. There are sharp metal coat hooks directly opposite the ladder out of the bed. Twice I sliced my wrists putting a hand out to balance myself climbing down. Rounded rubber/plastic hooks are a very cheap fix. There were 3 blocks of 4 toilets for many rooms, and one set was out. The toilets were constantly hot and full of steam, with the floors absolutely soaked as there is no drain in them.

On the plus side, the view is nice, and the staff were friendly. There is plenty of luggage stowage if you need it, and as it's essentially a hostel, plenty of people in the common areas which were also very nice and clean.

At the end of the day, this is a hostel and the price and quality of the stay reflects that. Having a small private cabin is fine for a short stay and the beds are relatively comfortable. I found a few small hairs on the bedsheets but generally cleanliness in the room was adequate. The “soundproofing” that is advertised is not particularly good and you can hear talking and doors closing from the corridor, so bring earplugs to avoid this. The bathrooms had questionable cleanliness and were frequently left in a slightly messy state, though that’s more a reflection on guest behaviour than the cleaners who generally seemed to do a good job. The location is extremely convenient and it’s just a 5 minute walk to the old town, or 5 minutes in the opposite direction to the train and bus stations.

The fuzzy log is in an ideal location very close to the centre of Ljubljana. The cabins are ideal and very comfortable for a few nights stay. The lobby area is also quite nice, with plenty of seating and space. We got breakfast one morning and it was great value for money, there was a great selection. The cleanliness of the bathrooms were ok. They could have been cleaner at times and were running out of toilet paper and paper towels towards the end of the day. Maybe it would be better to have someone monitoring these facilities throughout the day/into the night. Overall though we had a lovely stay here and this is only something small.

Perfect location and everywhere is walkable from the ibis.

The social areas were really nice with table tennis and areas to sit.

We stayed in one of the private rooms. Very different to what we’ve stayed in before but exciting to try something new. Only downside is that the room gets quite hot.

It’s a Hostel in a great location in a fantastic city.First experience of sleeping in a capsule in a dormitory.Late booking and not much available in town under 100 euros,no complaints ,people friendly,young travellers back packers vibe,nice terrace,helpful staff .

Has a big kitchen and self catering/eating area,fridge the later clearly not big enough or not emptied out,that’s the downside as usual in such shared facilities is selfish people who don’t clean up after themselves happy to leave a sink full of unwashed plates …aargh humanity

The lights, while funky, never did learn how to turn them off, and it was a distance from the room to the all-gender washroom (which unfortunately was not very clean), but all this was compensated by excellent staff other than the grumpy old guy at 5am when I had to check out, but who could blame him? It was 5am.

Lovely comfortable stay as a couple for 3 nights.

Would recommend a bottom cabin as step aren’t comfortable to climb nor easy to get up.

I found it very clean however bad drain smell to the point I was sick. So hope this improves.

Bed was very comfortable, due to being on the top bed I found it got very hot in the night starts off comfortable then gets uncomfortable.

Staff were so friendly and helpful. There is a communal kitchen which people left a mess in however the staff took it upon themselves to clean (which they shouldn’t have too). Table tennis and table top football to keep you entertained. It snowed when we went so we didn’t use the outdoor terrace however it offered excellent views of the city including the castle.

EXCELLENT LOCATION 5 minutes from the bus station( even as someone who’s not the fastest. And great location to the town.

It was a good idea to make a cheap rooms for affordable stays in Ljubljana. But My room was upstairs and it was very difficult for me to climb up and down. At the first time I fell down and I still have bruise on my legs. I couldn’t go to washroom because of the stairs at night. Otherwise, maybe if I had lower bed I didn’t have any problems.

The common areas were nice and cheery, with a cool rooftop patio. I stayed in a “cabin” pod which was nice and clean, with fun colorful lights inside, but had a pretty thin mattress. Shared bathrooms were fine, about what you’d expect for a hostel. Breakfast was very expensive for the area though at €15 euros per person, so would skip that. Overall good setup and great location ~10 min walking from the center, but was definitely expensive for what we got (but we stayed in August and booked just a couple months out, so that was what was available).

I hadn’t appreciated that I would be staying in the hostel area of the hotel when I booked. However was really pleasantly surprised by the facilities. My cabin was clean and neat, capsule style, and the mattress was so comfortable I slept really well. My belongings were safe, keycard entry to the cabin.
The free washer and dryer facilities were fantastic. For the bathroom facilities, there were shared style ones, or they had a number of private bathrooms.
It is so close to the centre, only 5 minute walk to the Triple Bridge. Also only a straightforward 10 min walk to the station.
The staff were brilliant. Friendly, happy and fun.
Really great value and comfortable stay.

Hostel layout was satisfactory.

The room was good and the interior lightings were appropriate although size was tiny.

And it was great to have gym room, ping pong tables and other game tables for use.

However, there are several things for the attention of their managerial staff:

1. The conditions and suitability of existing cooking utensils, such as pans, pots and small electric appliances need definite replacement.

2. Larger electric water kettle could also be provided.

3. The cost of buffet breakfast was too high in terms of the options of foods in provision.

Great location, friendly staff, comfy surroundings with places to sit inside and outdoors, and a small but serviceable kitchen. Good WiFi. Had some apprehension about the bed (upper bunk), but found it very spacious and comfortable, great to have USB sockets both sides. Ladder up was OK with something on your feet & taken slowly.
2 negatives - couldn't get the main lights off, didn't understand the switch which seemed only to change the colours; nowhere to dry clothes or even to hang wet stuff, seemed odd given there are washing machines & was a problem because we had heavy rain.

This hostel is in a great location incredibly short walk into the main city centre, The rooftop bar with loft views is also a bonus. The price is comparable to other hostels and some of these also include a breakfast, this hostel doesn’t. The rooms were adequate size for the price paid, but incredibly noisy as the walls are made of cheap materials. The bed was comfortable. The washrooms were dirty and unisex washrooms also. The washroom but only washed once today I believe. Has the same urine on the floor was there early in the morning and was still there late in the afternoon. Given the heavy traffic through these toilets this is simply not enough. I could only see two members of staff during the day to whom rushed off their feet trying to help so many customers not just including a hostel but a hotel and serving teas and coffees etc

I wanted to like this place but it just wasn’t very well kept. Cool, hip vibe, and liked the decor (the mood lighting in the room was neat) but that was about it.

I get that this is a hostel and not a five star hotel but the bathrooms were frankly disgusting. Paper towels and toilet paper often not refilled, missing soap/shampoo bottles, bad odor (which they try to mask using air fresheners), and since the floors don’t have drains, oftentimes huge puddles of water form on the floor. I also saw blood and hair on the floor—I’ve stayed at other hostels before and I just felt that for the price you pay, the value isn’t great.

Stayed in one of the private rooms. Hotel is 3 blocks from the center of everything and very close to the bus and train stations. Great shower/bathroom facilities for a hostel. Really like the dry and wet areas for each shower and great fixtures. Nice private bed for a good price. 4 nights

F - fun place to stay for a couple of nights! Brightly coloured and cabin style rooms;
U- unusual rooms, no window which makes it feel a bit claustrophobic;
ZZ- zero wait time for communal showers and bathrooms;
Y- you can do washing free of charge;
L- long wait to check in, no self check in was available as advertised;
O- only a short ten minute walk from the city centre;
G- great experience overall, would book again for a short stay

Worst sleep experience of my life

We booked the private double room where the bed is high up and it was really clean & nicely decorated with cool lights and that’s where the good bit starts and ends. The stairs up to the bed are impossible to navigate safely for 2 fit 29 year olds. The worst part of our stay was that the air conditioning in the hotel was broken and none of the rooms have windows. We basically drowned in our own sweat for the night even with the door left wide open. The staff couldn’t offer any better options room-wise and they didn’t seem to actually know what was going on. The gym in the photos didn’t seem to exist. The hand towel dispenser in bathrooms nearest our room was empty for the entirety of our stay and the shower floors were wet and hairy. It’s such a shame because the hostel is really cool & well decorated but so badly ran. Make sure the aircon is working before you book

The staff is very friendly and helpful. I had many questions about getting to Lake Bled, and the staff took their time to help and look up bus routes. Not only that, the same lady at the front desk was able to upgrade my room to a private room. The room was very comfortable and much more spacious than I was expecting. The bathrooms are a great size with fantastic hot water and pressure. The only reason I didn't give them excellent overall was due to the cleanliness in the bathroom. They tried to keep it clean, but unfortunately they can't control all the travelers and clean up after each one. I would advise though, for the number of people that could stay at a time, I would invest in a larger trash can for each bathroom. The small ones are great in a home of 1 or 2 people but not for the traffic that the hotel can serve at a time. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend to my friends and stay again myself. Thank you!!!

lots of potential, but needs new staff

Amazing location only minutes from the train & bus station made daytrips within Slovenia easy. The accommodation was fine, capsules are a really interesting concept, most things worked ok, and the place was very clean.

However, the mix of staff really let the place down. One reception guy was really awesome, but most were sarcastic and unprofessional, and two on the morning shift were outright rude and hostile - not a great strategy to increase business after such a low travel period due to pandemic restrictions! Also had some problems with the downstairs cafe serving breakfasts, and with the vending machines in the hostel - reception staff repeatedly \"said\" they would take care of the problems, but finally they couldn't be bothered to do anything to fix the issues.

In short - if all you want is somewhere convenient where you don't have to interact with anyone, this place is fine - but if you believe people make experiences (like I do) then you'll be very disappointed here.

Comfort and relaxation in a beautiful city

Loved how close to the center of the city and bus station it is. Staff are very helpful. Loved the capsules as there very comfortable. Fast wifi and very modern place and of course very clean.

Unique hostel experience

I LOVED this quirky little place despite the occasional state of the shared bathrooms. It is a hostel with people going in and out all the time so this needs to be a consideration. The bedding was heavenly and uniqueness of the “capsules. Mine was the “Deep Dive” and lighting was fully adjustable to whatever ambiance I wanted to create. … Next time I might try the outdoor tents on the roof!

Check in was a bit rough since I arrived so late and unknowingly had to go to it’s big brother (Union Hotel about 1.5 blocks down the street) to do it. I am easy going, though, and could leave my bag at the hostel during this process, so no biggie.

The location was good- easy walk to city center and parking was easy once my sister arrived and we got a rental car. We had moved to a different accommodation at city center at that time and then found out we were were walking to the Fuzzy Log anyway to get the car, so next time I would just stay at the Fuzzy Log the whole time
