The hotel is located as part of a building beside the main hospital. It has a few supermarkets right next door so useful from that point of view. As you enter there are signs telling you that construction is ongoing on site.
In our bathroom there was a shower enclosure but no attachment for the shower head so you had to hold it.
It’s a no frills room. The breakfast was good.
Approximately 15 minutes walk to town centre.

Terrible way of checking in after 9pm (we were also given wrong code to the door which added 1h of us waiting outside with our luggage and 11 months daughter). Absolutely ridiculous experience and will never take this hotel ever again.

I booked late so may not have been in the best room in the hotel, I was on the first floor. It was ok, but not great. The walls allow you to hear the adjacent rooms and there is no night staff so a guest playing a tv loudly until all hours will be disruptive.

One thing to note, this hotel is directly next to the hospital. I expected there to be a great deal of noise as ambulances come and go at all hours, but this was not the case. None of the noise was from the hospital.

The bed and bathroom accommodations were fine, no issues. The overhead rain shower had great water pressure and was nice.

The air conditioning was difficult to set, and once set not up to the task. It was 30c at the high end, and 12c at night. I was overly warm throughout, but not badly overwarm.

The daily breakfast was good, and while the coffee was a machine it produced coffee that was better than expected.

I didn't have a car so can't assess parking.

I recently stayed at this hotel for three nights, and unfortunately the experience fell well short of expectations. While the room had clearly been newly refurbished, the design was extremely bland and lacked even basic comforts. There was no complimentary water bottle, nor were there any tea or coffee‑making facilities, which made the room feel quite bare.

The bathroom was clean, but there was a persistent, unpleasant stench coming from the toilet area that made it uncomfortable to use. This issue never improved during my stay.

There was also ongoing maintenance work in the building, but even aside from that, my room had a continuous loud buzzing or burning‑type noise throughout the day and night. It made sleeping incredibly difficult. I reported this to management, but nothing was resolved during the entire duration of my stay.

Another major frustration was the centrally controlled temperature. I wasn’t able to adjust the heating or cooling in my own room, which meant I couldn’t get comfortable at night and struggled to sleep properly.

Breakfast was another disappointment. If you’re vegan or vegetarian, you’ll struggle — the options were extremely limited, essentially just cereals and a few cut vegetables that didn’t look particularly appealing.

Overall, despite the refurbishment, the lack of comfort, unresolved maintenance issues, and poor breakfast options made this a very underwhelming stay. I hope the hotel addresses these problems for future guests.

Shockingly bad hotel. On arrival we were given a room that was half way through being demolished or done up, we couldn't tell. There was no headboard, just holes. The carpet was cut and the concrete floor exposed. The furniture was sawn and there were no doors on it. The shower cubicle was mouldy, I could go on ... We complained and were offered an 'upgrade', basically the same room without the problems above. I can't understand why were we not given the second room straight away! The second room had its issues - a concrete wall for a view, 10 feet from the window, you couldn't see the sky, it was so depressing. A noisy fridge that had to be turned off to be able to sleep, no coffee making facilities, no toilet roll holder, a joke of a shower, the rainfall hose didn't work, the shelf sloped so didn't hold any toiletries, loose toilet seat, damp in the ceiling, dreadful tiling and masticking, again I could go on. The breakfast room was awful, it was looking at the same concrete wall, no soft furnishings so very noisy, it was like a student cafe. The food itself was very basic, the fruit on offer was mouldy apples and orange segments. The hotel was right next door to the a&e hospital so ambulances we're going to and fro. Absolutely not a 3 star hotel.

It was an absolutely horrible experience and i checked out the same afternoon I arrived that morning. The staff were rude and I felt like an inconvenience from the get go. Expedia tried to contact them with questions I had ahead of time and no response. When I got there they claimed that they do not receive messages from Expedia and that one has to contact them directly. Then why are they on Expedia and they sent an initial welcome message through Expedia?
The room was dirty and I took pictures. Curtains were stained. Blood stain on one bed and another stain and hair on the other bed. Bathroom was not clean. Hair on areas of the floor and gunk on sink counter. I had to clean the bathroom with my own anti bacterial wipes I brought. When I called the reception, Amir (the only nice one) came up with the cleaning crew to check the room. The cleaning lady got mad and was “going off” and and angrily speaking in another language. Amir and the other cleaning lady (not the angry one) helped change the bed. I did not feel comfortable or safe. I called Expedia to change and book a different hotel. Expedia tried to call Meksiko while I was there and no one answered. Meksiko claimed that Expedia did not try and call them and implied that Expedia was not being honest about trying to reach them. When I was checking out of Meksiko two new ladies had arrived. They would not even tell me their names and they ended up being rude as well. Their online pics are not accurate of what is.

However I'm glad we weren’t staying there for more than one night / the main part of our holiday as the rooms were basic and very clinical; there wasn't even a bedside light. The breakfast was also basic with not much to choose from.

I have mixed feelings about this property. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, and the corner room itself was comfortable and decent-sized for 1 person. It would have been a bit tight for 2 people though. Breakfast was just ok... not a lot of options, but good enough I suppose. However, I didn't find the dining staff to be very friendly. What makes the property a bit less desirable is its location. It's a good 15 minutes or more from the train and bus station, which was farther than I expected since I was pulling my luggage. It's also about 15 minutes from the historic center of Ljubljana -- also slightly farther than I expected based n the maps. And oddly, the property is hard to find as the signage from the main street isn't obvious and the entrance to the hotel itself is on the back side of a rather sterile office-type building that is adjacent to the entrance to a hospital. This means there were hospital nurses, technicians, emergency personnel, family members of patients, etc. constantly standing in front of the hospital entrance -- smoking and talking. My room overlooked all of this activity and it was all very odd. Also, there was some construction going on right below my window at the hospital entrance, which was a bit loud in the morning when I was trying to sleep.

The room was small but adequate and clean. The location was easy to visit sites. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was average. Our main issue was the smell in the hallway. There was a pail to collect drips from the third floor and a horrible smell. We had three rooms and we could only smell it it one room. We also had an issue with parking the first night and had to pay $32 to park nearby. The staff was helpful to find a spot. By the second day a spot opened up in the hotel lot.

This is a basic hotel. It was affordable and a 15 min walk from the bus station and the old town. We felt safe and the staff was very friendly. However, the breakfast was average (the coffee less than average). The biggest issue was not the hotels fault - construction in the area blocked the entrance and we had to go around. When we first arrived I was concerned that noise might be an issue as it is located right next to an emergency room with ambulances coming and going. However, Our room was off an inner court yard and very quiet.

Overall, if you are looking for affordability, a clean room and don't mind a little bit of a walk to the main tourist area, this is a good value.

The location couldn’t be better, no more than 15-20 minutes away from just about anywhere you’d need or want to go (including, but not limited to:
the bus and train station
the castle
the cathedral
main town square
the important historic buildings, bridges, and statues

The staff are helpful with any questions and are there to resolve any problems, efficiently and pleasantly. Everyone is very friendly.

The rooms were comfortable and include a complimentary breakfast. I would definitely return here!

Terrible experience at Meksiko

This hotel was a huge disappointment.

The room I booked was supposed to have a queen bed, but instead, there were two single beds pushed together, which made sleeping very uncomfortable. The bathroom was another disaster—the glass partition wasn’t properly sealed, and the entire bathroom floor got flooded after just one shower. The reception closes at 9 PM, which is highly inconvenient. Cleanliness was also a major issue—there were stains on the bed sheets, and even blood stains on the blanket. The bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned either, with hair stuck to the walls and leftover shampoo from previous guests.

On top of all that, the hotel is in a terrible location—right next to a hospital emergency entrance and an emergency helipad. The noise from helicopters and ambulances was constant, making it nearly impossible to relax or sleep.

Hotel.com offered to move us to a \"deluxe\" room, but it wasn’t much of an improvement. The bathroom still leaked, and basic amenities were missing. The breakfast was underwhelming too, with limited and low-quality options.

To make things worse, I wasn't even given a “Do Not Disturb” door hanger despite asking the reception for one. As a result, the cleaner came into the room while we were trying to rest. It wasn’t her fault—she wouldn’t have known without the sign—but this kind of basic mismanagement is unacceptable in a hotel. And housekeeping only includes changing towels and soap!

It is close to the ethnographic museum, the national museum and museum of contemporary art, and not far from the main railway station, but slightly away from the tourist aria. Because it is next to the hospital it feels part of everyday life there. The staff members are friendly and super helpful. The name of the hotel derives from the meeting place associated with Maximilian in Mexico. It is great for a lone traveller as I was.

We enjoyed our time in Ljubljana and Meksiko Hotel was great. Correspondence was good and late check-in instructions were simple. It was easy to walk to the main train and bus stations and close to Old Town. It is an hour away from Bled and the bus was only a few euros for a return ticket. The hotel itself was very clean and our room was comfortable. There was no noise from outside. All staff were friendly. Our room did not have a kettle but there is a vending machine downstairs with coffee and snacks at low prices. There is a Hofer/ALDI right next door. We enjoyed the breakfast and it was great to start the day with a full tummy! We definitely recommend Meksiko Hotel.

We found the location ideal as we had to great to the bus station the next morning and it was a short walk. Also easy to get around to the city centre. We arrived early and could leave bags, which was helpful. Room was basic, but just as described. Good wifi. The free breakfast was excellent, and kept us going for most of the day!

There was a good place to eat right across the street, and a grocery store around the corner. We only stayed one night but would have booked again if they had vacancies.

My room was quite spacious - modern clean and comfortable (though the shower leaked into the bathroom). There was no room servicing in the 3 days I stayed but it did not matter to me.The hotel is walkable from the bus/train stations. There is a small reception room on the ground floor which shuts at 9pm (then code entry access) with bedrooms and breakfast room on the floors above. There is no bar, lounge or other facilities. Breakfast was adequate but nothing special. Overall the hotel is fairly basic but fully met my needs.

Our stay in this hotel was really great. The staff were super friendly and helpful to ensure our parking spot was correct. My only feedback would be to maybe be more clear on the parking & also provide where to park if that space is filled up since it is small. Overall, this was a great location as well for the price.

Positives:

Quad family room is huge and clean.
Close to a supermarket.
Free parking.
Close to centre, approx 15mins walk.
Breakfast is OK (continental).

Negatives:
Very basic.
Air conditioning in room old noisy and smelly plus set at 24.7deg!
Hotel is tired inside and out and locates in car park, hospital, supermarket area.
We paid eur400 for 2 ntes, so a lot for not a lot but as i said it was a big room for x4 and clean.

For a crash pad, its okay

Less than a good value

For us, what we need is a usable clean shower, comfortable bedding and electrical outlets for phones. First, the shower. It was small which is fine if it did not have considerable mold and mildew in the back corners. Also, a hand wand without a wall mount was more than inconvient. Just bare walls, no place for ones own soap and shampoo.The shower stall did not seal and prevent leakage into the bathroom. Now bedding. The pillows promoted neck injury, too small hard and thick for use. Only one inconveniently located electrical outlet near the the beds for use. Also, the room needed tobe aired out to remove an odd smell before we could be comfortable. Staff was friendly and courteous, breakfast was adequate. Location is good, except that it is adjacent to an urgent/emergency care medical facility with ambulance service. Less than a good value.

Massive family room with separate bedroom for our 2 kids and a huge bathroom with separate toilet and shower. Nice breakfast. Perfect for an overnight stay.easy walk into the centre and the bud / train station.
Please be aware that this a budget hotel and it situated right next to the hospital.
The reception area and rooms are very basic.
The photos online make the hotel look a lot more upmarket!
Our AC in the room wasn’t great either and got down to 25 degrees which was just about ok.
Overall, perfect for a short stay for a family of 4.
