Excellent stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Ljubljana. Clean, comfortable room with climate control and windows that open fully for fresh air. The breakfast was exceptional, easily the best I've had from a chain hotel (fresh baked pastries, hot eggs, stewed peppers...all delicious). The Turkish kitchen staff obviously know how to provide a good breakfast! Ample on site parking, and located in a quiet residential area just a short drive from highways and the city centre. Cannot say enough good things about the quality of my stay. I visited to be closer to local skiing and will do so again next year

We stayed 8 days. Perfect for us. Breakfast is only meal on offer, but this meal presentation includes delicious fresh fruits, a nice selection of breads, always scrambled eggs, and a bowl of hard cooked eggs. Our room was quiet spacious, the shower included shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
Premises are well kept, and there seemed to be plenty of parking for cars, and even a bus. There is bar/coffee available for purchase 24/7. This is a hotel based on efficiency. So, no onsite gym, laundry, business center. There are lots of plugins for your laptop or phone, and spaces to sit and work on your own devices. There is good reliable Wi-Fi too. Suggest even if you drove your own car, take Uber or taxi, or the public bus which you can catch just 50m up the street. Parking is TERRIBLE in City Center. This hotel is situated in a quiet residential area. Perfect location for us. I highly recommend this hotel to other travelers.

This hotel is not really in a pretty part of town. Hence the cheaper price. Free parking is available. You can walk to the city center in 40mins or a quick cab ride. There's nothing special about the hotel. It's very familiar in that I'm American and these are riddled throughout the U.S. It's new and clean.

Service with heart

We returned to the hotel late at night and there was no parking slots for our car anymore. A staff member noticed our car’s entry to the parking lot, and offered us his parking space. We really appreciate this act of kindness. It also shows the security of this hotel is top-notch! Very good breakfast as well! The procedures for checking in and checking out are also efficient! Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Ljubljana :)

With three beds, the room felt tight with very little wiggle room. The carpet looked worn. Otherwise, the room was clean and quiet. The bathroom was clean and the shower was nice. The beds were comfortable. A microwave in the room would have been helpful. Breakfast was very good. This is included in the room rent. Center city Ljubljana was easily accessible by taxi. We avoided driving into Center City

This facility is conveniently located and reasonably priced. Much appreciated is the fact that parking is provided without an extra charge. Breakfast is amazing.

However there are some maintenance issues in our room that I will be sharing with the hotel. All of the USB ports are broken and the front door is extremely difficult to open and close. We were assigned a handicap equipped room and the door issues are of concern, especially since a person with disabilities would have difficulty entering or exiting the room.

Cold water for shower and very thick pillows

On our first day we had to take a shower with cold water (during winter!) as they had some kind of issue there. As a result I got a bad cold that I’m still struggling to recover from. Pillows were extremely thick making it difficult to use them, mainly for my mum that has 4 cervical bulged disks. She has to sleep with no pillow for the entire stay (4 nights) and I got a sore neck using it. Apart from those issues, everything else was fine.

A modern and efficient hotel, perfect for our short stay in Slovenia. We appreciated being given the option of a soft or firm pillow which made for a great nights sleep. No check in me foi dado um quarto no subsolo do hotel em que o ar condicionado não estava funcionando. Solicitei então a troca do quarto e pedi para ser colocado num andar superior, porém o atendente disse que a tarifa que eu paguei só me dava direito de ficar no subsolo. Quando fiz a reserva pelo app da hotéis.com não tinha nenhuma observação a respeito disso. O quarto tinha apenas uma pequena janela sem vista alguma e era muito escuro.

This hotel is top notch. The staff is professional yet friendly and accommodating. Matej, Alperen, and the rest of the reception staff were great. They'll go above and beyond to help. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was tasty and offered good choices, we especially liked that all the food was halal. We liked the patio seating area. I would definitely stay here again when I come to Ljubljana again.

This hotel was a disappointment. We were in room 313 and the carpet was completely filthy. It looked like someone had really dirty wheels on their suitcase and rolled it around on the carpet and then the hotel couldn’t get it clean. The hotel was somewhat new and the new designs are minimalistic which doesn’t necessarily mean practical. There was only one small table in the room ~12” round to place items on. They had a couple of cubby holes where they had stuck an ironing board and iron, so we pulled out the ironing board and used it to put our toiletries on. The bathroom sink was shallow and probably 2” long and only left about 4-6” of counter space to use. It was warm while we were there and turned on the A/C. The A/C was extremely loud and it sounded like something was very wrong, we left it on for a bit but it didn’t put out any air. We opened the windows for awhile, but the hotel is on a busy road so we had to close it when we went to sleep.

We were there on vacation and not business, but there wasn’t a desk to work if you were there for business. The room also didn’t have a mini-fridge as all the other rooms we stayed in did. Having stayed in a number of Holiday Inn Expresses, I just had higher expectations.

The breakfast was very good, good choices and good quality food.
