The hotel itself is very nice. Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Check in is 4 pm but we did not get our room until 6 pm. They said they were full the night before and booked the night we checked in. They did give us complimentary breakfast vouchers due to the issue. The hotel is in walking distance to everything in downtown Ithaca which is great.

I was very pleased with my stay at the Ithaca Hotel. The staff were very friendly, and my room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located downtown so you can easily walk to Moosewood, Ithaca Commons, the State Theater, etc. The only downside was that I had noisy, upstairs neighbors who kept me up late. The hotel gave me a free, late check out at 1:30 pm to compensate me. I would definitely stay here again.

Room was fairly clean. Floor hadn’t been cleaned and shower wasn’t great. Stayed 3 nights and had to go look for refills on paper products and coffee supplies. Son also had a room and his tv didn’t work for the 2 nights he stayed even after multiple calls to the front desk. Maintenance came and left without fixing the tv or bringing a replacement. Probably will choose a different hotel next time.

We specifically booked this hotel because it had a pool, and when we arrived, we were told the pool was broken. That was extremely disappointing, as the pool was the main reason we chose this property in the first place. Had we known it wasn’t operational, we would have booked another hotel for the same price — one with a working pool.

To make matters worse, the woman at the reception desk when we checked in was very rude and unwelcoming. After a long day of travel, that was the last thing we expected. Customer service sets the tone for a stay, and unfortunately, this started things off poorly.

The overall condition of the hotel was unacceptable for the price we paid. The room felt dirty, and common areas were not maintained properly. The coffee station in the morning was filthy, and the garbage looked like it hadn’t been taken out in days. For what we were charged, it was honestly disgusting.

I will say that the reception woman in the morning was very kind and did take $50 off the room, which we appreciated. However, even with that adjustment, we still could have stayed elsewhere for the same price and had a clean hotel with a functioning pool.

I have photos documenting the condition of the property. Very disappointing experience overall.

Staff was amazing, room was partially clean however a lot of scuff marks on the baseboards and lower wall areas, questionable spots on the wall areas in the bathroom, lack luster availability to amenities due to a \"main breakage\" so no pool, key cards needed replaced/reprogramed, vending machine on 4th floor lacked, broken/questionable elevators, visible water damage in parts of the hotel ceiling, the lobby was a icebox (no heat), God awful feces smell in hallway leading to the elevators assuming due to the main breakage.

The remote system was not working despite having a validated ticket and since there was no attendant in the booth it was very frustrating to get the problem resolved. This problem needs to be resolved!!!

The hvac in the room was extremely loud and inconsistent. Mini fridge was loud. No microwave. Light in shower was like a nightlight and made it very hard to see in the shower. Lobby was extremely cold. No coffee at the coffee station and the one time there was it was lukewarm and burnt. Will be removing this one from my list of places to stay when visiting.

We came there a day early to relax and enjoy the pool no word was said that the pool was down the heater was broken also the sofa bed had no mattress or bedding the coffee machine in room didnt work and had breakfast ordered pancakes pancakes didnt come with meal so we had to ask for them again when they came they were stone cold and had a big hair in it thats how my stay was

The hotel lobby is beautiful, and our room was very clean. We ate dinner in the restaurant, and we weren't disappointed. Their homemade potato chips that came with our meals were so delicious that we ordered a side dish of them!

The sink in the bathroom was filling with water, but I kept forgetting to tell the front desk about that.

I would stay at the Hotel Ithaca again if I needed a hotel in downtown Ithaca.

We were excited to have a room in the tower, but when we opened the door, the dresser holding the tv was pulled about a foot away from the wall and there were dust balls and a piece of garbage on the floor. On top of the desk, there was a paper cup with some garbage in it, and the bedskirt ar the foot of the bed was tucked up between the mattresses. The sheers and curtains felt and looked like they could use some cleaning, and the curtains had a few hooks fallen off their rings. The front desk was more than horrified to hear of the garbage and skirt items and offered us a new room. But by then, we had already settled in and so declined the offer. But they were willing to make good.

We loved the corner room and looking down and across downtown. The restaurant was beautiful and clean but running on limited menu due to lack of business. We found things to eat, which were made well. Overall, a nice stay with friendly, attentive staff.

I was looking for something that was walking distance to restaurants and shopping. This hotel fit the bill! We stayed Fri-Mon. Here's my experience...upon walking in, it is quite beautiful, there was new staff being trained so, we kind got sent to the wrong \"tower\" & had to go back around. Also, I had asked if a bottle of champagne could be put in the room because it was our anniversary, and I wanted a sweet surprise. It was not there at check in (4pm) but later, after returning from a walk, we had a lovely cheese platter and wine, thank you Restaurant manager, I want to say Justin?
The room appeared tidy but, the only discretion was the bathroom shower, it had mildew in most of the shower track. But everything else was great! We put the do not disturb sign out for all of our stay because we believe in conserving linen. On one of the days we were resting before dinner and someone attempted to enter the room, we had the door lock on, they attempted several times and then called out housekeeping, I was a bit confused because we had the do not disturb sign out....they finally left...and said oh, never mind.
We truly did have a lovely stay, but keep in mind if there is some event going on at Cornel, or another school, parking fills up fast. We had problems on 2 of our 3 nights.

During my stay at the hotel, I was struck by the overall condition of the room. While the ambiance was inviting, I noticed that the swivel chair in my room was in particularly poor condition. The faux leather was peeling so prominently that it was hard to ignore; what once looked like a solid brown chair was now marred with large patches of white and brown. This small detail cast doubt on the quality of maintenance and care, making me feel as if there was a possibility that other areas might also be neglected. .To ensure the comfort of guests, perhaps rooms should be inspected and worn-out furniture refurbished before assigning them to “paying” guests.

Nice hotel in downtown, but needs improvements.

The location was perfect. Very walkable and in close proximity to downtown.

The hotel seemed to be in stages of renovations with older and newer sections. Most of the hotel was super nice, but our room was a bit older and the AC wasn’t working correctly. It would either be freezing or super humid (on a non-hot or humid day). Plus the AC unit was really noisy and clicked loudly when it would turn on and off.

It was a bit expensive for the experience we had, but still a nice stay.

Great location in the downtown area, so many restaurants and shops nearby! We only stayed one night but appreciated the noon checkout so we could workout and have breakfast and then get ready to leave without feeling rushed. There was only one elevator working, which led to some delays during higher traffic times, but no big deal if you're not in a hurry. The staff was friendly and helpful, and we liked having a balcony. The bathroom could have been cleaner, but the rest of the place was clean!

We spent two nights at Hotel Ithaca (8/20–8/22). While the hotel environment was so-so, the condition of the bedding was the worst part—dirty pillows and blankets with obvious stains.
We definitely would not recommend staying here.

The air conditioning was not functioning, and the window did not close properly, which resulted in significant noise from the street throughout the night.
The shower showed visible signs of mold, suggesting it had not been cleaned for an extended period. Additionally, the furniture was scratched, and both the room’s sofa and desk chair were noticeably worn and damaged.
Considering the price I paid for the room, the overall condition was highly disappointing.
I cannot recommend this establishment.

The room floor was sticky and there was an odor in the room. It seems that it was cleaned, however, the product used, was not adecuate for the hotel room. The shower had an empty shampoo container...we had been at this hotel numerous times, and lately it seems that the rooms had issues...I am not sure if the hotel is under new management.....we never had issues in the past....
