Staff was great - coffee good - clean. I've stayed at several Hampton Inns and wonder why in the world the company committed to that very scratchy duvet cover. It is at all the hotels and is very unpleasant. I will avoid Hampton Inns if I can, solely because that thing is awful.

Clean room. Lacked privacy due to no double window blinds. Shower too narrow. Needs to be 10 to 12 inches wider. That would also give extra room for hang up clothes.
That space was not adequate. Also, women's dresses would not clear the floor.
The breakfast was good but they did not know how to make oatmeal. We were surprised to find that there was a parking fee.
The key entry system was a major problem. The card had to be recharged every evening. The last day it did not work at all and the front desk person had to open the room door for everyone.

This hotel has an excellent housekeeping crew. Two things kept this from being a five-star experience: the overflowing toilet from the room above us (one time only during a long stay; late night, so we were given towels at front desk to soak up the water) and the lack of a guest laundry. I understand the laundry is in process as part of the recent remodel. Despite those two minor things, we recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

We had a accessible room and the washroom was well fitted out with grab bars and easy to navigate for my husband who uses a walker/wheelchair. The staff were terrific, very nice and very helpful. The one issue, which I found odd, is that there was no automatic/wheelchair button for either the door of the room or the back doors of the hotel, which made it very challenging to get into the room.

Pros: Clean hotel with nice lobby area with lots of tables. I was impressed by their breakfast. Very accessible and quick drive to anything in the city.

Cons: Woken up several times by dogs in nearby rooms, no hot tub and the pool wasn't the cleanest. I highly recommend against walking to Byrne Dairy and Deli a couple buildings down, it's a hot mess.

This is a typical Hampton Inn. It was clean. The room was sufficient, as expected. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool was nice; my boys and I enjoyed it. There were limited options near the front desk for purchase - a bag of chips or pop. It was located close to strip mall shopping areas and restaurants, not far from Wegman's, downtown Ithaca or Cornell. Free wifi of course. There was a small parking charge which I was not aware of until I got the bill. Honestly the worst thing was my teenager driving us nuts by pestering his little brother. That's no fault of the hotel. The free breakfast was worth about nothing too, as they usually are. I'd rather have an egg mcmuffin and coffee from McDonald's.

At breakfast, there was no coffee, no plates, no forks, and no cups or lids. When I mentioned this to the person responsible, she snapped that I should see the manager. Overall very bad experience. They could not find the reservation from Expedia so we had to spend an hour trying to find the reservation number for the hotel. Phone support at expedia was useless. Kept getting cut off from people who didn't sound like they really worked at a real company. We had to pay for a room a second time. Finally after being in our room for a couple of hours we found the reservation number. Thankfully the hotel refunded our second payment. I'll never use expedia again!!!!!!

We called and told them that we would be getting in the early morning and they said no problem, we were all set, but when we arrived, they had given our room away. We ended up at the Canopy Hilton and loved them so much, but we still need to be refunded our payment to Hampton Inn Ithaca. They were very unprofessional, and even though we have called the manager, she has not called us back. This treatment is unacceptable!

This hotel was very clean, the rooms large and the included breakfast plentiful. The area where you ate breakfast clean, too. There was construction going on at the entrance but this caused little upset and I'm sure it'll look nice once complete. The only downside to our stay was the folks who were extremely loud for quite some time going in and out of rooms and speaking with loud voices at 6 am. Otherwise, it was perfect.

From checkin to checkout, I felt very well cared for. I will say, the hotel is a few miles from Ithaca Commons, so if you wanted Cornell and Ithaca experiences, you might look a bit closer to town.

I have dietary restrictions and wish there were more choices (fresh fruit?), or more information about ingredients at breakfast buffet...so Im glad there was a fridge and microwave in the room for my own food. Pleasant stay

We stayed in a room with 2 queen beds, 4 guests and the room was spacious, tidy and clean.
The hotel staff was nice and helpful.
The breakfast was simple and nice.
For the use of guests, the hotel has a small indoor pool and a gym.
The hotel has free adjacent parking.

The Cayuga Blu Hotel has 121 comfortable, spacious guest rooms. All rooms have a refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer and coffee/tea maker.
