The Ithaca Homewood Suites by Hilton is a 3 Diamond hotel and the ONLY all-suites hotel located in the heart of the beautiful Finger Lakes Region. The Ithaca Homewood Suites by Hilton is located directly off State Route 13 in the Village of Lansing.

The hotel is two miles from the Tompkins County Regional Airport and Cornell Business & Technology Park. In addition, the hotel is only minutes from Cornell University and Ithaca College.

Overall, we had a great stay. The room was clean and the bed was cozy. The shower could use some updating. The only issue we had was breakfast. We came down a little after 8 and there was little food available, no milk, no plates or silverware, etc. as well as a large crowd waiting for the above. It seemed like they were understaffed in this area. We waited around 20 minutes with little change and decided to check out early and find breakfast elsewhere.

The room was spacious and clean. The staff was great. Unfortunately my room lost heat on the first night of my stay and we experienced a fire alarm on the second night, both uncontrollable events that were managed efficiently by the staff. Highly would recommend the breakfast only wished that they would spring for a better brand of coffee. It was very weak, more like a weak tea than coffee.

We stayed at the Homewood Suites for one weekend day and 2 week days. We didn't receive any housekeeping and the full-sized shower gels in both bathrooms were empty. The breakfast on Sunday was excellent - attentive staff, fully stocked food - everything you expect with an included breakfast buffet. The one woman who worked Monday and Tuesday was a hot mess. Food was never stocked - nor were the utensils, plates, coffee, juice, butter, waffle mix - you name it, you had to ask for it. And I heard her complaining that people eat all they want at the all you can eat buffet. As if the problem were the guests and not her inability to keep up. On Tuesday she left the floor entirely at 9:15A for a smoke break and didn't restock anything after 9A (breakfast ends at 9:30).

I had a great stay! The room was wonderful. Comfy bed, lots of hot water and the breakfast was really good. There are plenty of doors to get outside and pet stations in a few spots around the hotel if you're staying with your dog. My only complaint was housekeeping never stopped by, even when we were gone for the whole day and had nothing hung on the door. Also it was a pain to change anything with the hotel as they kept not finding updates from Expedia, it did eventually get worked out.

Our stay at the hotel was truly excellent. Everyone on the staff was incredibly kind and very attentive, especially Ms. Gina, who helped us at all times. We had an issue with our reservation, and she took the time to assist us and even helped us communicate with the company we had booked through. Her professionalism and willingness to help made a huge difference.

The breakfast was very good and offered a nice variety. Even though the hotel has a few years, everything was spotless, impeccably clean, and very well maintained.

The property was very good. The best part was the separate bedroom with living room / kitchen separate. I particularly enjoyed breakfast choices. As a vegan it was nice to see chia pudding and overnight oats with oat milk in addition to hearty oatmeal. The Wednesday night soup and salad with wine and beer also a plus.
The staff was friendly and tried to help as Expedia got our reservation wrong.

We arrived at the hotel early in order to use the swimming pool, always an important part of our vacation. To our dismay, we discovered that the pool was out of order, closed indefinitely for repairs...no apologies, nothing. we do believe we are entitled to some reimbursement. The pool was one of the reasons we had decided to stay there in the first place.

I liked the size of the parking lot. Unfortunately that’s all I liked. Long line to check in because there was only one person at the counter. I was almost charged $500 more for my room because of a computer glitch, but I had my receipt from Expedia, however the cost of my room was $85 more than my friend’s room next-door to me and she went directly through Hilton. I am not happy. $85 is ridiculous. I was informed that the pool and the whirlpool were unfortunately closed for the remainder of the week. I was never provided with an email from Expedia for this inconvenience again I am not satisfied. The room was not updated. The Wi-Fi was sketchy. I was told I only get housekeeping every other day and none of this was disclosed in Expedia. I am completely unsatisfied very disappointed with the quality of a Hilton and lack of disclosure from Expedia. I want some compensation for what happened.

Stayed in a one bedroom suite with my partner and two teenage daughters. The hotel location is very close to Ithaca, Cornell University, Ithaca Falls and so many other scenic areas. I also love how there was a free buffet breakfast included in the room rate. The breakfast station attendee, Tanisha, was fantastic and she made sure the food was refilled quickly and the coffee was hot and fresh. All of the hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly! The hot tub was lovely but the pool water was looking a bit green so we decided not to use it. The room we stayed in could definitely be updated and refreshed, with a deep clean as well.

Showers could have used better showerheads but they still worked. Breakfast staff was very nice even though breakfast wasn’t great. We would definitely stay here again.

Mostly understaffed. Only one person at check in and four parties needing checked in. She was efficient as could be…but can’t do everything. Later that night after the original lady was no longer around. No bedding for fold out couch and so when we called, whoever answered said in a very dull monotone answer, “ go to the desk”. So my husband got redressed and we only need to be told there that someone would bring it to the room. They brought everything except a pillow. I gave her one off our bed. Small things but…

Almost perfect

The front staff was very friendly. Breakfast area was clean. Our room was almost great with the exception of the bathroom and the mattress on the pull out sofa. Our room was a handicapped room so the shower was even with the floor. There was a thin, clean plastic stripe on the floor to prevent water from flowing over the entire floor which was in need of replacing, it was black underneath it at the corners and beyond. The shower curtain was a good six inches off the floor so there was a lot of water splashing onto the floor. The water temperature for our three day weekend was LUKEWARM. The staff told us it was because everyone decided to take a shower at once.
The pullout sofa mattress is old and every spring was felt so unless your are the same weight as a three year, don’t expect to get a comfortable nights sleep.

We used this hotel for Thanksgiving overflow at our house. Our suite was spacious and mostly clean. We did find crumbs and a candy wrapper in the couch bed, but overall, nice and clean.
On Wednesday they have a light buffet available, and it was really nice. Broccoli cheddar soup with crusty bread was enjoyed by all. Salad, cheese and crackers, pita with dip, fruit and best of all, beer and wine!
Breakfast was okay and everyone found something to eat. We did miss the traditional waffles that we always find at these 'free' breakfasts.
If you stay here, be sure to visit the Reuse Center at the mini-mall next door. Great shopping!

Bad service for airport shuttle bus

I was attracted by the \"airport shuttle bus\" service, so I booked a room, but when I requested this service at check-in, I was told that they did not know if there was a driver available, and in the end I could not find one. I also requested a cab reservation at the same time, but the cab had not arrived either, leaving me with no way to get to the airport at all. If the reservation for the shuttle bus service is separate from the stay and needs to be made in advance, that instruction needs to be more clear.

Disappointed in the attitude

The room was fine/adequate. Beds were not particularly comfortable, although the bedding was nice. The best thing I can say about this Hotel is that you get two rooms with a door between. The rooms were spacious
It was expensive and certainly not up to what it should have been for the cost. we had an issue with the shower/faucet and continually running water. Furthermore, the shampoo container was completely empty and 10pm after a long day to get into the shower and find there was no shampoo was extremely frustrating. It was pure neglect on their part and when I mentioned this in the morning on check out, I got an attitude from the front desk. The woman said to me “this could have been easily resolved with a phone call “I guess I should have gotten out of the shower/gotten dressed and had somebody bring shampoo up at 10 o’clock at night. What an inane remark ! I certainly could have received a more gracious and apologetic response.
Only other issue was that one of the two elevators was out of service and we were on the third floor. Therefore, we had to drag all of our things from one end of the hotel to the next in order to get the elevator on the other end of the hotel. It was out both days we were there. I think it would have been appropriate to issue some sort of credit towards our stay with all of these things, but nothing was offered.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. No smell! (Sorry, but this is big! I swear I have a bionic nose!). You can travel light and last minute when staying here — full bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion are provided.
Perfect location for us visiting family In Lansing and in Trumansburg. Breakfast was AMAZING! Plenty of staff keeping an eye on things and being so quick to help and refill dwindling food items. Lots of variety and all quality. Played basketball

It was very clean and nice. My issue is our room was not ready when we got there. We had 30 min to get to a wedding. We had to change clothes in the bathroom. My husband was told he could use the shower by the pool, so he did. No towels. He had to dry off with paper towels. Our room was ready almost 2 hours after it was supposed to be. If someone had texted us earlier that we would not be able to access our room, we would have changed before we got there. For what we paid for that room (about 3 x more than avg normal rate), we should have had a five star welcome. Not a public bathroom as a dressing area.
