Came to Ithaca for a quick getaway after getting married, a minimoon if you will. The Inn at Taughannock Falls was the perfect location. We could walk to the Falls, it was convenient for wine touring, and we spent a day hiking the area. The Inn itself is absolutely beautiful and everyone took care of us the entire time. We loved absolutely everything about our stay!!

We loved our stay! The entire staff were wonderful. The room was elegant and classy (but not stuffy). Being next to the falls state park and the lake was an added plus. The inn's bar is small but cozy. Would definitely return.

Note: Some rooms (like ours) do not have a microwave nor a mini-fridge, but they will provide ice (for your cooler). Also note that there is no dinner service in the winter months.

We loved our stay. The room was a Parkview Jr Suite. It was clean, comfortable and roomy. We loved the privacy and the trees outside our windows. The bathroom was great--especially the shower, which was new and really nice. It was convenient to have a mini fridge and microwave too. While we were there we had drinks and dinner at the restaurant and bar. We also had breakfast there and found it to be very nice--they were kind enough to get some GF bread for me too. The staff we interacted with were all friendly and helpful. The location was wonderful next to the park and trails. Just a great visit overall. Would definitely go back!

This hotel is a little gem if you are planning to visit the Taughannock Falls. Not far from centre which we drove in for dinner and easy tor the falls hike. We like the hotel as it's got a lot of character, nice view and comfortable bed. The grounds of the hotel are gorgeous and service was top notch.

I am a local and really want to love this place. The infrastructure is lovely. But they are operating it on a shoestring and it really felt that way. The restaurant is closed many evenings (including the evening we were there) and breakfast doesn't start until 8am. We were hungry!

Event coord changed the room we room booked 9 mo in advance w/o permission or any notification of the change, even upon check-in. This error meant we had no balcony, desk space or love seat.
The bedroom & bath rooms were a nice size but were not at all what we wanted. The credit to our account was appreciated but certainly did not replace the amenities that we had expected. No dining since chef walked out. Wedding party that took our room woke us up w/ yelling in the hallway late in the evening on our last night. The hotel was in a convenient location for dining & wineries.

We'll be back!

My husband and I stayed in a Lakeview Room that was very clean and modern. All the staff, from front desk to housekeeping to kitchen staff, were very friendly and professional. It's a beautiful property with access to Cayuga Lake across the street via the state park, and just a 20 minute walk to Taughannock Falls. We enjoyed having dinner in the restaurant one of the nights of our stay. We will definitely be back!

The staff is friendly, professional, helpful. With a cozy bar area, a beautiful patio overlooking the lake, and clean, comfortable rooms, we couldn’t have had a better stay. This was a girls’ weekend but I’d like to come back with my husband. The food was excellent- the breakfast buffet was delicious and more than adequate. We stayed in Lakeview and the view from our balcony was gorgeous!

Very nice property. The staff of the restaurant was excellent - professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The staff of the hotel was friendly too, however, we would hoped them to be a bit more acommodating or customer focused. After we brought all our luggage to the reception we were told that the room is in another building, 3-5 minutes away. When we asked for a dinner at 7pm we were firmly told that only 7.45pm would be feasible, although there were not so many tables occupied when we arrived. That's all ok, and we enjoyed the stay. However, c'est le ton qui fait la musique as the French say. Being a bit more sympathetic, friendly and less insisting makes a difference.

That the location does not offer any drink options during the day when arriving early is not really a 4-star hotel like. The breakfast was ok but a bit of a contrast to the level of the restaurant food and service the evening before. The latter was top, with fresh ingredients, nicely served while the breakfast offered some scrambled eggs (ready-made, not fresh eggs), only brewed coffee, a sweet (?) youghurt etc. - in short: there is a mismatch.

I hope you take the feedback constructively. Overall, a very nice hotel, an exceptional location, the room was great. Paying a bit more attention to these details would make the 4th star.

Fantastic stay. I was in the main building, which was very convenient for breakfast and dinner (and bar).

Location can't be beaten; you can walk from the hotel directly to the Taughannock Falls.

Also, they provided a list of places to go and things to do (hiking, dining, wine tasting, etc.) which was extremely helpful.

We were given a 10% discount for the inconvenience. The hotel was sold out, so moving us was not an option. I'm sure we'll go back, but we'll pay for a better room next time.

We recently stayed for an impromptu anniversary date and fell in love with this historic inn. When we travel we try to find places just like this and this one is probably one of the most stunning pieces of history, lovingly maintained in its original glory we’ve ever stayed at — every detail felt like a beautiful step back in time.

The location is unbeatable and we ended up staying right at the inn instead of our original plans to explore the area. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the outdoor dining and fire pit seating areas kept us there for drinks, dinner, and after dinner drinks!

The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Everyone was warm and helpful.

We hope to make this a yearly tradition and maybe even stay in one of the rooms that are currently being added!
