We asked for help with something unexpected but discovered that management or the owner of the hotel does not care one bit about any complaints even when warranted, so buyer beware if you run into an issue you are on your own.

We had massive construction each day at 7:30. Though it’s apparently been planned for a while the hotel didn’t bother advertising this or compensating in any way for it. By construction I mean impossible to ignore or rest. Drilling and hammering on our actual wall for hours.

When we asked to be put in touch with senior management or ownership they hid conveniently behind their staff and ignored us. If it weren’t for the following issue I would have rated this much higher. This isn’t a massive chain and so one would assume they care about the individual client - but whomever they are they don’t. I would avoid this hotel regardless of the great reviews which drew me to it as well.

The location was good in that it was easily walkable to many tourist areas but the specific location of the hotel was set among some construction with graffiti. There was however a supermarket close by and many restaurants. The room was nice and clean and roomy but a little awkwardly laid out. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall good for the price.

Amazing staff and not far from all the tourist attractions. Don't be fooled by the outside...the room is super clean and comfortable! My kids and I walked everywhere with no worries! There are a plethora of super yummy restaurants, cafes and shops all around the area! You will not have to wait long for an uber or taxi to pick you up from that spot! We had an amazing time in Greece! Thank you!

It was a great hotel for our family of four. Rooms were very clean-water pressure was awesome-staff was friendly and very helpful for information on places to eat-groceries and navigating in Athens. The roof top area was perfect at the end of the day to have a cold drink and relax. The only downside was that the pool water was very cold. If we go back to Athens we would book here again.

The staff was absolutely AMAZING. I had a particular great experience with George who helped me find my phone, and also with the lady who typically sat front of the house during the day. It was clean, spacious, friendly, and perfect for our visit. You could be traveling alone, with family, with friends, and this is the location I would recommend every time. Very walkable! However, they do have a few accessibility issues (small step leading to bathrooms, and no accessibility bars). But I would 1000% return. A second, luxurious home.

The desk clerk was very helpful in recommending a place to go eat and not at the touristy places where the prices are higher than they are at a local family owned restaurant. They also recommended a few places to visit if you were tired of going on guided tours and you wanted to explore on your own. I recommend that. I enjoyed the food and the recommendations that they gave me. I recommend this hotel if you don't want to stay in a hotel in downtown Athens.

I was impressed by the accommodations as they are suites and were comfortable. The roof top patio has a nice pool for a dip or just to look at the Acropolis at night. We were able to walk to most transportation ports and restaurants. They even assisted with the shuttle service from the airport and to the cruise terminal. If I ever get back to Athens I would stay here again. I did not get to use the spa. Maybe next time.

Interesting boutique hotel. We had a two-story two bedroom two bath unit with a kitchenette, etc. Bedrooms are super small. Bathrooms are even smaller. But it’s decorated well and very clean. The area is not great — it’s a 20-minute walk to where you want to be and good luck getting a taxi or uber…it’s just not happening.

Area directly surrounding the property is a little older and run down. They were renovating the building next door, so upgrades seem to be in progress of the area. There was noise during the day of the construction we could hear loudly in our room. But were generally only during reasonable hours of 9am-5pm.

The location is extremely ideal for those wanting to explore around Acropolis. A short walk to plenty of delicious restaraunts and other historicals sites as well. The staff were extrememly responsive and super healpful for anything we requested. Especially transportation since we were there during a strike by the taxi union. Would recommend to anyone staying in Athens,

The suites are located about a ten minute walk from the Plaka area, also nearby is a tram stop which is two stops from Syntagma square or it'll take you to the coast in the other direction.

The rooftop pool was a great bonus as well.

They also have a transfer service to and from the airport and ferry port. The drivers we had through this were also great and the hotel arranges everything for you.

The property and rooms are updated and nicely furnished. However, they are a bit small. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant or bar so you have to rely on room service or eat elsewhere. The lobby, elevator are also very small and you can’t hang out. The same goes for rooftop pool which is tiny and terrace has few chairs. Nothing attractive. If you need a clean place to just crash for a night or two then it’s fine but the area around the hotel is very bad. We didn’t feel very safe at night walking back and getting a taxi is not very convenient. There’s another five star hotel just few minutes walk down the street or similar , decent hotel in Plaka that has all the amenities and we wish we had reserved that instead. Regardless, the staff here is very nice and so is the room decor. Note that this is also on a heavy traffic street so you can hear vehicles even late at night. Overall it’s okay but we paid a very high price for a small room.

This is a good affordable hotel with a rooftop pool that exceeds what you would expect from a hotel in this category. Walking to the city center was manageable and felt safe even late at night. The room AC worked great, the bed was comfortable, and the shower had good water pressure. An all around good option if your looking to safe some money and willing to walk a little bit by staying outside the city center.

Such friendly and helpful staff at this lovely hotel. Rooms are modern with everything you need and plenty of room for a family of 4. I'd highly recommend the panoramic suite - what a view! The local area is slightly run down but perfectly safe and inside the hotel you'd never know. The location is also fantastic as 3 mins to the Temple Olympian, 5 mins walk to the Acropolis, 15 to Parliament, 15 to Plaka and the great restaurants! The pool and roof terrace overlooking the Acropolis was a real bonus and the kids loved it- it was warm water too.
Laundry facilities are also great and helpful when travelling with kids.
I would highly recommend Athesense Suites!

Avoid - air con broken, ant infestation, loud

Horrendous - the air conditioning did not work despite the temperature in Athens being 25°. The room was unbearably hot but told the air con is only turned on in the summer. To make things worse, opening the windows is impossible with the noise on the main road so we didn’t sleep well throughout the entire stay. Then, in the bathroom, a broken extractor fan and an infestation of ants, which was disgusting. Crawling around the floor non-stop the entire stay. We checked out early, asked for a partial refund, and the manager offered up nothing. Save your money and avoid this place.

We stayed in the Athesense suites for 1 week in early Dec 2024. The hotel itself is lovely - clean, modern design and with great roof terrace with views to the Acropolis - including from the heated pool (slightly bigger than hot tub size, but perfect for a dip or to play with kids). The family suite was perfect for our family of 4 - our kids loved having their very own upstairs bedroom, bathroom and terrace! Staff at the hotel are exceptional - friendly, happy and super helpful. Location wise the hotel is in walking distance of all the main attractions. Admittedly the neighbourhood doesn’t look anything special, but once you get used to it, it’s actually very good with nearby 24hr shop that does good coffee, cheese pie bakery (when in Athens…) and some local restaurants and bars. Also only short walk to Fika (very nice bakery) and Le Greche (best ice cream). Overall I would highly recommend Athesense suites to anyone planning a trip to Athens.

We loved staying here. We were on a 5 week holiday from NZ and we had 9 hotels booked to stay at between the UK, Europe and Singapore. This by far was our favorite due to location, service and cleanliness. First off the receptionist who greeted us on the first day was so amazing and helpful. She gave us tips on where to eat and she was spot on with her recommendations. Very close within walking distance to everything. Highly recommend this accommodation to everyone and would stay here again! Thank you for making our holiday an enjoyable one!!

Very central location. It is a bit loud downstairs since it’s right on the busy commercial street. But it calms down at night. The contactless service took a bit getting used to, but it worked out when they sent the entrance codes a few hours before the start of the booking. The concierge is in the building around the corner and they’re quite responsive online so it worked out well. The room was nice. The building seems still somewhat under construction. Overall, a good value for the price.

We recently stayed at Athesense suites in Greece, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The location was ideal—just outside the busy area, offering a quieter atmosphere, but still very walkable to nearby attractions and restaurants.

Location was walking distance to Plaka. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice little roof top to enjoy some views. I would stay here again.

This was a really nice option for out family in Athens. We had come before our trip to the islands and stayed in an AirBnB. The beds were comfortable and it is very hard to find a family unit with two proper beds- not sofa beds- in Europe so this was a big plus. Our room had two floors each with its own bathroom, another benefit. The view of the Acropolis from the roof top is stunning at night and the small pool would have been nice for a hot day had we had time. The only drawback to the property and why we liked the AirBnB was the location.this hotel was perfectly fine and not too far from the older, quainter area, but it was nice to have lots of cute local shops and restaurants right outside your door. All in all, a great stay at a small boutique hotel and you will be pleased.

Great Hotel in a good location

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was within walking distance to many attractions and restaurants. The air conditioning worked great which we appreciated due to the heatwave Athens was experiencing during our trip. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.

Good service. Convenient location.

Lovely staff in a good location. There is a rooftop patio with a small pool. The neighborhood looks rough but the building is clean and modern. And the price was right!
