This was a wonderful place to stay. Our check-in went very well with the lovely Anne. She was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean. The hotel is has some beautiful features including the sitting area near our room and the terrace on the sixth floor.

My plus night in Athens Greece

Hotel is conveniently located to café shops and restaurants within walking distance, staff was very friendly and courteous, check-in was very efficient, the rooms are clean and comfortable, i only spent one night as I was leaving early to the airport, the staff arranged my transfer and even had a generous breakfast bag to go prepared for me as I wouldn’t make it to the free breakfast. Much appreciated, would stay here again!!

We chose this hotel based on its online description and photos.
We were really looking forward to breakfast on the rooftop garden with a view of yhe acropolis, and enjoying cocktails up there in the evening.
The rooftop was closed and had ben for over 2 years! There wasn't even a bar where we could get a glass of wine.
There were 3 chairs on our room's balcony, and 2 of them were ripped.
The bathroom was tiny with a tiny, cracked sink.
There were stains on the carpets.

Great deal for a 3 star ..

Location is only a 10-15 min walk to Acropolis which is amazing as is the view at night of the historical site.
Place however is dated and lots of bugs; however the bed was updated and very cozy.

Overall great stay for the price.

The staff was phenomenal! One night, Vicky at the front desk helped me for an hour trying to figure out how to order delivery and helping me with the App, and the issues that arose. She was so sweet and even dealt with the call for technical help!
The hotel also had arrangements with someone who could come right to the hotel to do Covid tests for us before our flight home. And the lady who prepares the breakfast fixed us a bag to take with us on the day we had to leave very early for a day trip we had booked.

The only negative about the hotel was that it sits at the top of a hill so that no matter which way you go, you will have to climb a steep incline on your way back! But that seems to be the case with almost all the sites we visited as well, so be prepared!

I do not recommend this place.

This is a cute little hotel. Unfortunately, the bed was uncomfortable, the elevators are tiny, the night receptionist was smoking right outside the front door and the wind blew cigarette smoke into the building. Additionally, I could tell people were smoking in their rooms because the second floor was filled with cigarette stench. Finally, I was charged an extra 5 euros to stay an additional night on top of the going rate. If you're a smoker, you might like this place; if not, I don't think you'll like it.

Please DON’T stay here.

WORST hotel you can stay in Athens. The reception guy is useless. Our room had some sort of constant noise from washroom and wifi and tv were absolutely not working. I overheard another visitor also complaining about no TV service in her room. We complained to the reception guy and he refused to help. Good thing was that we only had to stay there for one night.

Located in a hill where is very difficult for cars to park. You have to be in awesome shape to climb that hill. Closer to Main Street Plaka... walking distance.... staff very rude... pics show a nice view however it is not a big deal. There is what they call a restaurant in the roof top but there are just a few tables limited menu and awful food.

Our first impression wasn’t good as the man at reception wasn’t interested, no people skills & as we arrived in the evening we were hungry but he couldn’t even tell us where a local restaurant was or even that their hotel restaurant was still open. This service continued throughout our stay. We asked for 3 days to replace a lightbulb with no luck. They charged us $50 euro for an airport transfer which according to locals & a local taxi driver should have been a standard flat rate (before midnight) of 38 euro. The shower leaked every day all over the floor. On a positive the location was fabulous & bed was very comfortable. Overall though wouldn’t recommend.

Our room was nice, with a large balcony and view of the acropolis, but the bed was lumpy and the pillows were hard. The rooftop restaurant is quite nice, but the food at dinner was disappointing. We chose to eat there for the convenience and the view. Our meals did not at all live up to the menu descriptions, and was also quite expensive. Breakfast, on the other hand, was quite good; a substantial buffet with plenty of choice all nicely prepared.

This property is nothing, nothing like the pictures on the website. Even the location was terrible. Its in the middle of residential properties, in order to get to it you have to climb a 45 degree hill.What rooftop? It was a small area inclosed by glass, not at all like the pictures. The breakfast litterally sucked. It seams to be family owned. The front desk agents or should I say person only one, was a smoker and the entire entrance smelled. There where 5 of us with 2 rooms. Both rooms incredibly small and I understand about European rooms and the size of them but this was ridicules, no place for our small carryon bag. My husband who is not a big guy couldn't even fit in the shower. One of the night we asked for extra towels and was told we can only give you one. The older gentleman, whom I'm assuming was the owner said we only have one towel left. Seriously stay away from this hotel you will not regret it. So many other nice properties around. Remember you get what you pay for. You might save a bit of money with this property but your experience will be terrible. Stay far away.

Paying for the view

Honestly, you’re paying for the view.
This is a bare bones hotel, with a really tight toilet and shower. The bed is too soft and you just sink into it.
The breakfast was not good at all. The bread I had was very hard. Probably a day old.
The area around the hotel is quiet. Too quiet. I felt very uncomfortable walking around that area at night. Do yourself a favor and stay around Monastiriki.

Lovely hotel. Get directions before you come.

Hotel is a little off the Main Street so it’s a little difficult to find when you arrive. Taxi drivers don’t know where it is!! The hotel is nice though, clean and well presented.
We had a little trouble with a taxi driver who picked us up from the hotel. When we arrived at our destination the meter read 4.50 but he told us we had to pay 4.50 to the company and 5 to the driver. We knew this wasn’t true so we gave him 4.50 and got out he said nothing. Be strong if this happens. The driver will not follow you. We told the receptionist on our arrival back to the hotel as she booked the taxi for us. She was rightly very angry and phoned the company. Be aware, taxi drivers are the same everywhere. Use Uber or the taxibe app.

The rooftop restaurant is small but very relaxing and overall nice. The view is as stated very beautiful.
we very much enjoyed our trip and will come again.

This hotel has bedbugs. The photos online are very deceiving. The hotel is in a sketchy neighborhood, even the cab driver had to stop and ask for directions.
As soon as I saw a bedbug crawl across the bed, I took a video of it, got my things and went to the front desk. The man working the desk didn’t seem bothered about the bedbugs. He said he could not refund me until the morning when the bank opened, which is ridiculous. This left me alone, in a bad neighborhood, at 1am with no place to stay. I ended up spending way more than I wanted to stay somewhere nicer. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Did not receive room I ordered. Was suppose to be 2 twins + 1 sofa bed. Did not give sofa bed. Instead got smaller room. Also safe not working (dead batteries). Never fixed. Breakfast very good. Rooftop shared patio/bar had very good Acropolis view. Neighborhood very good, safe, not touristy but a bit tricky to find, especially at night. Room layout and amenities very nice.

Located a quick walk from the main attractions. Very clean rooms and comfortable beds. The hotel staff was friendly and the rooftop terrace was a great spot for breakfast (you can see the acropolis from the roof!). The lobby smelled a bit of smoke but the rooms did not. Good wifi receoption.

Amazing view of Acropolis

I would absolutely recommend this hotel: incredible view on the acropolis from our room's terrace and from the rooftop restaurant. Bonus: the food at the restaurant is amazing (especially the baked feta dish)! Only a 10 minute walk to the acropolis!! The hotel is actually closest to the back entrance of the acropolis (Dionysus theater) where the lines are much shorter than at the main entrance. Staff was very helpful and gave us plenty of tips for our stay and next day travel to Santorini island. Only downside was that our room was small, but this was ok because we had a big terrace (with view on the Parthenon!) and the price was very reasonable.

Very nice hotel, close to the Acropolis

My son and I I greatly enjoyed my stay here- the hotel is clean, comfortable and has a very charming terrace restaurant with stunning views of the Parthenon. The staff were friendly and professional, and helpful about all manners of things. The location is also great- a short walk to the Sygrou-Fix metro as well as the tram line. You can get to the Acropolis, Syntagma square, Monastiraki and its environs very easily indeed, and also take the tram to the many beaches.

After we checked out, I realized we'd left an article in the room. I wrote to the hotel, and she is helping me get the article back. It's details like this which tell you how attentive the staff is.

I'd definitely recommend the hotel if you're looking for a comfortable, friendly, safe hotel which is very centrally located.

Good location for Acropolis visit. Hotel is perfectly adequate, but nothing really special. The room I had was NYC tiny. I was travelling alone and if there'd been another traveller with me there would be no room for luggage in the room! On the plus side: nice outside patio with amazing view of Acropolis. Breakfast disappointing, especially for Greece where the food is excellent.

Great location and exceptional staff and service. I just needed a place to crash since so the location was key and the small rooms didn't bother me much since I was hardly in my room. But if you are traveling with family, just a word of caution, everything is small. From elevator to rooms to shower stall in the bathroom, it's all mini sized.
The staff was so so helpful, I had an early mng day flight to Santorini and they gave me packed breakfast at 4am- which was a sandwich, boiled egg and an apple in a small bag, very thoughtful!

A very nice boutique hotel\n

This was a small boutique hotel fairly close to major attractions. The breakfast was fair, often ice cold eggs though, and service didn't start until 0700 which is rather late - totally missed breakfast on my last day. Noise can be factor since there are only 4-5 rooms per floor with stairs that can be loud with running and loud voices etc. The room was comfortable and spacious and I had a lovely terrace which I was unable to access. The door opened for ventilation only. There were no restaurants nearby either and the hotel is on a hill which required an uphill climb after all my excursions. The front desk staff was helpful, especially the woman, who was a treasure. She provided excellent maps and instructions until I got my bearings.

The restaurant is excellent; the view of the Acropolis is spectacular (morning and evening). It was also one of the best meals we had in Athens!

Clean hotel in a great location

Expedia lists free parking but the hotel has no parking, they should change the listing information. Street parking worked out but it is a busy area. The hotel is very clean and bright. The room was a good size and had a great bed. There was a small balcony which offered a partial Acropolis view, very nice. Desk is staffed 24/7 so no issues with check in or out.

Clean & tidy hotel

The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. The included breakfast was good - included variety of fresh fruit, eggs, meats, salad items, breads and cakes. The room & bathroom were clean and bed was comfortable!
The lift in the hotel was small and could fit 2 people and 2 bags tightly. live music starting from 8pm at the bar with great view of Acropolis. 10 minute walk to Plaka area.

Hotel with great view

Hotel within walking distance of main attractions. Just need to get used to some hills. Great breakfast in their rooftop restaurant that has a wonderful view of the Acropolis. The only drawback I have is the size of their bathroom sinks - not very functionsl.

Quaint hotel with great staff

The staff at this hotel were amazing. Stavroula was a gem with her extra helpful and professional assistance. We arrived exhausted after a 15 hour flight and she made it possible for us to get a room early. We were so grateful. Also, left my phone at the hotel and she quickly sent us an email to notify us. Thank you Stavroula!
