The location near tourist sites can’t be better. Hotel is upscale though rooms sizes and conditions vary between visits depending on booking rates. The room pictures may not be what you’ll get. Rooftop restaurant and breakfast are nice.

The front desk staff in the lobby and the staff working the rooftop restaurant for dinner were extremely rude and require a class in Effective Customer Service 101. I have made a career in customer service for the past 20 years and I have never experienced such disrespect in a service oriented staff.

Our room’s a/c had a bad convector which sounded like a mini jackhammer and our bathroom toilet leaked sewage. When we ask for compensation, the front desk staff didn’t even apologize to us but said we would need to take it up with our travel agent (I.e., Expedia). Expedia rep was amazing but the hotel manager refused to provide us with any compensation.
Lastly, our experience at the rooftop restaurant for dinner was just as awful. For such a premium cost, we were hoping for decent service which it was not. Waited a full hour for both a refill on our waters and for our finished dinner plates to be removed to receive our bill. During this time, we tried looking ant the servers to motion them over to us, tried physically gesturing for service, and lastly vocalizing. Only after the bill came and we paid it, the manager stop by and asked how our dinner was. We explained the severe lack of service (almost as if we were invisible) along with my husband’s rack of lamb being completely overcooked and dry (after our food was served earlier, no one ever checked on us regarding our food).The manager was unapologetic and stated nothing can be done since bill was paid. Not even an apology.

This classy hotel is gorgeous - and just steps away from the main tourist spots in the city center of Athens. It’s also an ideal choice if you’re running the Athens Marathon, just about a half-mile walk from the Olympic stadium at the finish line.

The hotel was clean and staff was attentive. The location is perfect if you like to walk everywhere. The hotel has great views however the entire facility is outdated. The bar was a big letdown, it was hot in there and service was nonexistent. Was not expecting a $105.57 charge at checkout for lodging or $15.19 single premium internet service - I would prefer having these costs added to the total price and not a surprise to me.

While the lobby appears very grand, the rooms are disappointing and lack amenities (tv few channels were snowy etc) mini bar needs a clean are organised better. The rooftop garden area is stunning, with fantastic views of Athens. However breakfast ‘hot’ options were cold and lacking. But the most disappointing was the service from staff. With perhaps the exception of a few the treatment and hospitality of staff fell far short of decent especially those working the rooftop bar in the evening

Not 5* as advertised - my room was pretty dated, hole in the ceiling, big brown stain on the floor, reception staff also a little rude when checking in to be completely honest. Didn’t tell me about the facilities just my room number and so I had to ask and they got a little impatient with me and I actually didn’t visit the gym because I didn’t know where it was and didn’t want to ask again!

However the bar, the view from the bar, food and foyer were all lovely, which was kind of the reason we booked it. Breakfast also really nice.

The best thing about the hotel was the location. We paid extra for a room that overlooked the Temple of Zeus (you could just see the acropolis if you moved the curtain). It was very convenient as the Hop On, Hop Off buses stopped 50 m away and the busses/trams from Sp stopped right outside.

Wow, this hotel is incredible! It’s absolutely beautiful, and I truly wish I could have stayed longer. The pool is stunning, the amenities are top-notch, and the room was incredibly spacious. Best of all, we had an unforgettable view of the Parthenon and the Temple of Zeus right from our balcony.

The front desk attendant who checked us in seemed to be having a rough day, and the rooftop restaurant felt a bit overpriced and pretentious — especially when we were told we couldn’t get a coffee to go and had to sit down to drink it. But aside from that, everything else was wonderful. The hotel is centrally located, easily walkable to all the main sights, and overall, a fantastic place to stay.

Super convenient location! Close to the best areas in Athens. The view from the breakfast is beautiful and the breakfast was excellent, a full buffet. Front desk staff very nice and helpful. The wait staff at the breakfast were already starting to close up the buffet and tables at 930am (the buffet closes at 10am) making the experience feel rushed and just overall not the nicest staff up there. The pool is great but should be opened early, 11am is way too late and 730pm is way too early to close. Felt safe walking back to hotel at night. Overall, a great hotel for only have 2 nights in athens after our trip to the islands.

Buffet breakfast on terrace is top-notch. Area close by many restaurants, mini-mart, bus, and of course fantastic location -- the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum.

Executive rooms are very narrow - shower for first time stay room was not wide enough for an adult to stand facing the shower head, meant shower curtain clung to one's skin during showers. Acropolis view corner room meanwhile - spacious and palatial, with jetted tub and large enough shower to properly stand in :), though shower drained more slowly than prior exec room one. Night views of Acropolis were of course fantastic!

(For all rooms, one could not control the AC, though it was never unpleasant had not seen that before in larger hotels. This is an older more historic building so AC may be byproduct of age.)

Advice: Definitely get a larger view room as the upgrade is worth it! Staff helped us book Delphi tour next door, and obtain laundry service by kilo and not piece, which was fantastic.

The food was good, but the hotel had only two very small elevators, each fitting just two people with one piece of luggage. Although I had already paid for the stay when I booked online, I was surprised to be charged an additional €15 tax upon checking out. I mentioned that this should have been included in the booking charges, but the lady at the counter, in a rather cold tone, simply said it was part of hotel policy. Because of this experience, I would not stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel to others. I

My only issue with the property was the rooftop bar only had one server and the bartender was not allowed to serve customers. His primary job was to be a service bartender so when the hotel was full on the weekend and every table was full. Everyone waited it 30 to 40 minutes for a drink. The manager's excuse was there's a system issue. The only system at issue was his of failure to staff the area adequately but didn't want to admit it. It was very obvious to everyone there.
But all the servers were very friendly and did try to make up for it the best they could.

We spent three nights at this hotel (Friday thru Sunday). Loved the location being close to the Acropolis area. Short walk to the pathway that goes around the Acropolis and the Makrygianni neighborhood.

Staff was very helpful and the room and facilities were very comfortable.

Their rooftop restaurant (Ioannis Restaurant) has a wonderful view of the Acropolis in the morning and at night. Breakfast buffet was included with our stay and had a good variety (eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, tea, breads) and was satisfying to keep you going through the day. We had dinner one night which is expensive but delicious.

Recommend this hotel as a place to stay if you want to be in a location where you can visit Athen's historic sites and areas like Plaka, especially if you like walking.

The location was perfect for someone staying in Athens, especially for the first time. Everything was close, shopping, dining, museums, ruins, etc. etc. Could not ask for a better location.

Terrible experience , staff was rude , booked two rooms , no customer service no smile , faculty was run down and no one cared to assist , even prior to checking this hotel was not reachable as we were celebrating our daughters bdy wanted some decor or cake in the room never happened. On our first night as we checked in noticed air conditioning not working called front desk told them said sending mechanic to fix we left for dinner came back 10:30 assuming it’s fixed … clearly not fixed ,, called to ask they said we will send maintenance again ,, no one came to check or do by midnight we opened balcony tried to pass the night than went to kids room to sleep called again said will check in morning .. reminded again in morning to check that said it will be fixed today ,, we went out for our day out sight seing ,, came back by 4:30-5 AC was not working room was boiling outside temperature too hot too ,,, than finally mechanic came ruled out cannot fix right away u shod move yo different room ,, they gave us another room on same floor end of corridor as our kids were wd is didn’t want to move floors too far from them ,, this room AC was working slightly initially than it stoped by 7pm hot air kept coming and room had the worst smell from bathroom like swerage ,, called front desk by this time they just started ignoring us we were treated as we didn’t exist felt so discriminated, went down personally to talk ,, it was just waste of time they didn’t care to listen atal .

Rooftop bar and restaurant was the best part but still only adequate service and quality. Views were exceptional; however, hotel is very tired. TV, lighting, curtains were not functional. Nearly slipped and broke my neck in the shower. Very slippery. Would not go back or recommend.

Ac barely worked and Ants crawled out of a tear in carpet and were like 100s!!!!! Ugh! Athens is HOT so no ac is bad! Their ac is bad! I’d never return bc our room felt like 90 degrees! I don’t recommend! I do recommend going there and having drinks on rooftop! Food is overpriced and basic. And shower was super small! Don’t come here! But come for drinks! View is Epic!

The rooms were really large in size and decorated beautifully. Truly felt like Royal accommodations. The pool area was kind of small and crowded. And the lifeguard was kind of strict about food and wearing shoes around the pool area. The location of the hotel is outstanding and very close to the Acropolis. In fact on the seventh floor where breakfast and dining is. You have a great view. Speaking of breakfast the breakfast was fabulous. We went in the beginning of July and it was extremely hot outside. But the air conditioning worked well. all the staff was attentive to any needs we had.

Property has some aging issues. Shower drain was backing up. Asked front desk to address the issue, it was never looked at. There was a fixture hanging out of the wall over the bath tub. Asked for ironing board, when I received it, it was broken. On a positive note the breakfast and dinners were excellent.

The staff was rude from the beginning and continued throughout the whole stay. We stayed in the panorama room, only one working outlet throughout the entire room, no outlets in the bathroom, the large bed was two twins pushed together with a gap, the top bed cover and pillows were not clean, the beds were so uncomfortable. Nothing is upgraded, I dont know how this is a 5 star hotel.

Rooms on both occasions were in need of maintenance. Toilet seat was loose, and second room rhe fridge door was not attached to the outer cupboard making it difficult to open.

It's a beautiful hotel and is very conveniently located however the hotel certainl could use some improvements. First issue was with the door keys; I ended up having to have the keys reprogrammed 4 times throughout my stay. Next there was the fact that the rooms could really use some updates, the television appeared to be from the late 90s with a remote that barely worked and it would have been nice if there had been some usb plugs in the room, which could be incorporated with some new lighting as two of the three lamps in the room werent functioning. Finally the breakfast was certainly not worth paying extra for. Not much variety and it was quite bland, there are so many quality breakfast options near the hotel so skip the hotel breakfast.
I know this all sounds like a lot of negative but overall these were minor inconveniences and I was quite pleased with the hotel as a whole. The location was great, the staff kind and helpful, and nice pool which was a perfect way to escape the heat for a bit.

Loved this hotel and especially the rooftop restaurant with a great breakfast buffet and the amazing view of the Acropolis! My only suggestion would be to please provide more outlets for guests to charge electronic devices.

Pick somewhere else

The beds were super low to the ground, extremely uncomfortable ( like sleeping in a cot). The room is dated and not cleaned well and room is HOT!!
