I cannot say enough great things about the 12 Keys. This was my first time in Athens and I was a solo traveler. I did a lot of research before booking, and this place was perfect for my 10 days exploring the city. It's within a 10-minute walk of the Acropolis metro & museum. It's close to a bunch of major historical sites, including the Parthenon, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Roman Agora, the Ancient Athens Agoro, Socrates Prison, the National Garden and more. Its only 15 minute walk to Plaka, a trendy neighbourhood with fabulous shopping and eateries. The 12 Keys itself is a safe, secure building with the best staff ever. Gianos and Anastasia provided great recommendations, were extremely helpful, and always available by WhatsApp. Rooms were cleaned daily and exactly as advertised. I stayed in the senior suite, with a full kitchen, bedroom, and living area. Shower was great. There was a large balcony & A/C, which is essential in this heat! They also provided affordable airport transfers, which was better than the taxis. The driver even picked me up at the airport holding a sign with my name! The amazing staff even printed out a document I needed for work, free of charge. When Netflix wasnt working on my TV, Gianos gave me a bottle of wine. The hospitality is phenomenal. It's also very quiet here, which is nice after a long day exploring the city. 12 Keys is perfect for long term stays,.

We very much enjoyed our three night stay at 12 Keys… Giannis was a warm and helpful manager that gave recommendations and helped make us feel very much at home. We rented a superior unit which had good cooking facilities, plenty of hot water, a clothes washing machine, and good Wi-Fi. Location is a short walk to the acropolis. The area felt very safe.

The apartment was pretty clean (just a minor suggestion - the grout on the ground & bathroom need some cleaning but the rest of the apt is clean). Staff is very friendly & super helpful! Place is walking distance to acropolis.

Both were outstanding — spotless/clean, air conditioning worked perfectly, plenty of space for all things, refrigerators were spotless, electric stove was in excellent working condition (making cooking breakfast “at home” very convenient), and the in-suite washing machine was a bonus (super helpful so we didn’t have to find a laundry service).

The room itself was excellent. It looked exactly like the pictures, which is usually not the case. Both Jiannis and Anastasia were incredibly helpful, efficient and friendly. The room was kept spotless and the close proximity to everything was great. And, despite being just steps from all the attractions and amenities, it was in a real neighbourhood, so no tourist crowds. The place was superb. It ticked all the boxes that are important to us.

We had an amazing 10 day stay at 12 keys. The location is close, walking distance to the Acropolis, dinning, shopping and any transportation you may need to explore outside of that area. Anastasia and Giannis were extremely helpful with eating suggestions, directions, anything we needed!! Anastasia booked us a day cruise which was the highlight of our trip and arranged us airport transportation for the flight home. Everything was seamless!! Will definitely recommend staying here to all of the people we know who are wanting to travel to this beautiful city!!

12 Keys Athens Apartments came up as an Expedia recommended place to stay due to all the positive comments and my stay is another positive experience, Their larger apartment was very comfortable for a family of 5 people. Location is less than a 10 minute walk from closest subway station. Area is safe to walk at any time of day and night. Grocery stores and restaurants in walking distance from anywhere between 5 minutes to 20 minutes. Recommend to park your car and walk and/or public transportation. Parking garages near by. The host, Yiannis, was awesome. Yiannis took the time to answer all of our questions. He had recommendations for restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, etc. We had a situation that we needed to speak to Yiannis after reception hours and he answered quickly with the solution. We were a family of three and we stayed at this place for 8 nights. It was a great choice because we could walk to the Acropolis area in less than 10 minutes. There are many good supermarkets and restaurants in the area. Also, the neighbourhood is quiet. The managers of the property contacted before our arrival to give us instructions and once we arrived, they gave us great recommendations about restaurants and bars. The property is modern, clean and the kitchen is well equipped. We were very happy with this place.

The location is convenient with a short 10 min walk to Acropolis itself, the associated metro station, and the areas where a lot of different tours originate. In case walking is unpleasant (due to 95 degrees F for example during our trip), air conditioned tram will take you to Syntagma square in 2 stops. The tram stop is just around the corner.
A closest supermarket is 7 min away, walking. Keep in mind, most of the stores are closed Sundays.

Stay was very comfortable. Gianne was fantastic very helpful. Room was clean and well appointed. Our luggage was lost Gianne helped contact the local company with instructions for delivery. Answered any question we had and was fun to talk to. We would recommend this place and stay there if we return to Athens.

The host was very communicative and helped us with the local recommendations of the food, transportation, coffee shops. The hosts are very communicative about check-in time for late arrivals. The building was remodeled and very nice and clean. Our room was first floor near reception so it was a little noisy in the mornings but it had an archaeological site on display through the floor! Very unique indeed. Room was perfect— clean, good kitchen and space to put travel items away. Highly recommend!

Lovely apartment. We stayed in the grand apartment (d12). Loads of space, modern and had everything we needed. Outdoor space is amazing with rooftop view of the Acropolis and 3 other areas leading from different areas of apartment. Location within a few minutes walk of lots of bars and Hadrians arch. Reception very helpful and Giannis provided lots of info and places to eat, drink etc.

Our stay was amazing. Anastasia and Yanis are the sweetest receptionists. Anastasia greeted us warmly, handled our plethora of problems with grace, translated for us, and arranged our timely transfer to the ship. We worked mostly with Anastasia who is very charming, very sweet, helpful, and always on time. I can’t say enough good things about her. FYI… the elevator only fits two people at a time. And there are five steps up to the front door, which we knew in advance because they informed us since we had a disabled person who can walk, but not much. The room was clean, air-conditioned, modern, comfortable, and we were very pleased. There was a washer in our room that didn’t dry, but our clothes dried fast on the patio in a day. We were greeted with complimentary, wine and water. There are four or five restaurants just up the hill within walking distance. The pizza place was phenomenal. I highly recommend you booking here.

We loved our stay at 12 Keys! The apartment is very close to a tram stop and getting to the airport was very easy. The location is also very easily walkable (1 mile) to the acropolis and restaurants and shopping.

Communication with Giannis for late check-in was very clear, with even a short video of how to use the key code and info about a 24-hr market nearby. Anastasia went above and beyond to find us a taxi to the port on Election Day, which was impossible using a rider share app that day. We made use of the kitchen (panini press & electric kettle), provided plates/cups, and washing machine. Location was great, about a 15-minute walk or 5-min taxi to the Acropolis and several restaurants nearby.

The apartments are so central, with everything within walking distance, including transport links to the wider Athens area. The staff are friendly and very helpful and will give information on how to get places and where to go for some delicious local food.
