Our stay at Ayala Ocean View was superb! We stayed for 4 nights and were so sad to leave! The food was great, rooms were incredibly clean (and also cleaned twice a day!) and spa was so lovely. The staff are incredibly friendly and couldn't do enough for us - they organised sun beds for us on the beach, lent us snorkel equipment and even let us shower in a spare room after we had checked out. Would not hesitate to recommend!

Absolutely fantastic!

I had an absolutely fantastic stay, the staff are incredible, rooms clean and spacious and the food absolutely delicious. I was nervous about being a solo traveller, and this wasn’t a problem at all, variety of guests and friendly staff made for a very welcome stay! Will definitely be returning!

I had a great three night stay at Ayala Ocean View. The room was spotless, spacious, bright, and everything worked! Also very quiet for a peaceful night's sleep. Nice views from my top floor room and patio outside. The staff were kind, attentive, and respectful. The shower was a bit fickle--alternating unpredictability between cold and scalding hot, but this was just a small inconvenience.

The hotel and staff were wonderful but I had to leave after one night because of the banging and drilling. I couldn’t sit on the balcony, it was constant noise.

Best holiday experience with child

Hotel was the best you could imagine I was with my son, which is a fussy eater he love the food over there me to. Best restaurant on the Gulham is in Ayala. Big choice from burger to chicken tikka masala. All the staff was amazing, very helpful and kind. I had very good feel about that hotel. From the moment you book the room they looking after you till the moment they get you back to Airport. You can prearrange transportation from Male Airport for $25 per person paid at the hotel and contact through the WhatsApp.
Very very clean hotel they do clean rooms twice a day.
Thank you to the Francis from reception and the other young lady and lovely people in the restaurant and all the others which I don’t know the names but they make my stay very memorable.
Ps the air condition works great as everything else in that hotel they even have premier league Chanel.

We stayed one week in the \"Super Cute\" two-bedroom suite. The rooms were high quality, comfortable, and immaculate. The staff (housekeeping, front desk, restaurant, and excursion) were all fantastic and detail-oriented.

We ate nearly all our meals at the Benha restaurant on site, where everyone could find something they liked.

We did one excursion, snorkeling with sharks, and, on top of enjoying the experience itself, I felt like the trip was managed very well.

When we visited Gulhi Beach, the staff would set out chairs for us under an umbrella.

Some things to keep in mind:
1. Gulhi is a local island, so no alcohol and you must dress modestly when going around the (very small island).
2. The beach area is nice, but small. There are watersport rentals available.
3. The hotel has regularly scheduled speedboat transfers.
4. The island does burn trash. We only noticed this on one day of our stay.
5. In Maldives, traveling on Fridays is more difficult, so best to avoid Friday afternoons for travel.
6. Gulhi is small, so options are limited for everything.

Excellent choice! I really recommend this hotel

We really loved our stay at this hotel. It was the best choice ever. The staff was really friendly and helpful, the facilities were great, and the room had everything we needed. The location was good, food was extremely tasty and diverse. The hotel made our stay there very enjoyable and for sure we want to return there one day.

I was quite surprised by the positive reviews I read, but after staying at Ayala, I can confidently state that they are mostly paid/fake

Pros:
- Gulhi is not far from Male, quick to get to, speedboat service working fine
- Beach is near the hotel
- Sunbed/umbrellas available
- Excursions

Cons:
- booked a room for 3, turned out to be a regular room for 2 with a cot near the bed. Rooms itself is very small, so making 3 people stay there is inhumane. Cot had no mattress on it, felt like sleeping on the floor
- rooms get 'cleaned' twice a day, but they hardly replace sheets and provide fresh towels only once a week. They don't take out the used/dirty towels. Floor is not being cleaned
- no robes, no slippers. Problems with hot water, very hard to regulate the temperature and water in the shower constantly and randomly goes from hot to cold. Hot water also smells unpleasant. TV in the room is basically useless: not set up, does not connect to internet
- no variety in breakfast, always the same. Dinners differ, but overall food quality is average. Shortage of deserts and, especially, fruits, which is quite disappointing.
- waiters seem to take care only of the big families staying in, they set up tables for them in advance and no one is allowed to use that area. Should be constantly reminded to proved basic stuff like tissues. Staff may also confuse you with false promises (eg. promised to provide robes, mattress, turned out to not have those)

Wouldn't stay here the second time

Great hotel on a quiet island with wonderful beach

We started our Maldives holiday with a visit to Guhli Island (small local fisherman idland) staying at Ayala. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were looked after very well. The hotel is very nice on a very quiet island with a beautiful beach. We had free designated sun loungers in a prime spot on Bakini beach. We chose half board, but we found outselves drawn back for all other meals because the food was so good. We would love to go back and visit again one day.

Splendid and superb stay

What can I say... it is a superb!
From the services, cleanings, dedicated beach umbrellas closest to the sea, and of course the amazing food!

We have stayed for 6 days including breakfast & dinner, but we were also coming back to have lunch here because the chef is awesome!

Overall service charge was low, but all the staffs were friendly and very kind. Their SPA is almost the only one within nearby islands and they got amazing esthetitians as well. Extended excursions to watch dolphines, nurse shark, whale shark, sting gray, turtle were all successful - thanks to Iron from sandyheaven!

Overall, we could also see their management on contingency was perfect. Once the toilet on groundfloor nearby restaurant was broken they started immediately repairement and guiding all guests not to have an impact from unpleasant smell. The manager of this hotel seems to have a mild but extraordinary leadership, and he takes care of the hygiene the most.

The beach closeby is very friendly for family with kids, white sand beach with low tide before noon. All other guests are very friendly and you can easily make friends, too!

The service was fantastic. The waitresses were super friendly and kind. The hotel rooms were clean, comfortable, and welcoming. They were nice and bright with a nice view. We were able to arrange some amazing trips while we stayed there. A short walk brings you to Bikini Beach. It's only a 30 minute boat ride from the airport in Male.

Relaxing Island holiday

Amazing experience! Gulhi is a beautiful small island and Ayala Ocean view is located beautifully just a minutes walk from the jetty. From connecting with us prior to our arrival to dropping us off at the airport and everything in between was well coordinate — the staff and management were absolutely the friendliest, supporting and most caring. This hotel opened up only a few months ago, the facility is clean, wi-fi is good and overall safe for single or group travelers. The bikini beach is only a minutes walk from the hotel and if you ask, the hotel will also give a free snorkeling gears. Also, if you need to get your PCR test done, there’s a hospital within the island, if you inform the hotel reception they will coordinate and help
You get the test done. Gulhi is inhabited by laid back and welcoming locals. You can walk around the island uninterrupted.

We would recommend Gulhi for solo, group or family travel.

Overall this has been one of our best travel experiences so far.

Hotel with loads of potential but few mistakes

Rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious, however, I booked a superior room and got an interior room with views to a 1spm patio with all aircon engines.
When asked for a change, they told me it was not available.
Breakfast was basic but nice and tasty, as well as dinners.
On check out I was asked by a gentleman to pay for the room and meals, yet everything was already paid for.. I did not mind, yet I found it very unprofessional.
Sundbeds at 'bikini beach' are def a plus.

Bellissimo hotel su un'isola dei pescatori, confortevole, pulitissimo: il ragazzo rassetta la camera 2 volte al giorno; il cibo molto buono. La spiaggia vicina comoda da raggiungere, con un mare stupendo, tipico delle Maldive. È stata una bella vacanza rilassante, l'isola si può girare tutta a piedi, con la massima tranquillità, i maldiviani sono persone eccezionali.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights only but it felt like 2 weeks. The room was dirty and the view terrible. There are so much constructions going on around the island and its very limited things to do. Beach area was OK, but nothing special.

Some of the staff members were really helpful, but others the opposite. We were given incorrectly information by the reception multiple times causing our plans to crash.

There were huge insects in the room coming from the washroom. No warm water at the beginning, so staff had to fix it. The electricity dissapeared out of the blue(only in our room), so the staff had to fix it.

Ein wirklich toller Urlaub im Paradies. Das gesamte Personal ist unglaublich freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend.
Es gab nichts was uns in diesem Urlaub gefehlt hat.
Das einzige was etwas gestört hat war die Baustelle gegenüber….
Wir können dieses Hotel uneingeschränkt empfehlen und kommen gerne wieder.

L hotel est très bien dans l'ensemble, les chambres sont spacieuses et tout est tres propre. La salle se bain est bien equipee avec.tout le nécessaire de toilettes et des produits de tres bonne qualité. Le personnel est avenant et serviable. Les repas.pas super mais en meme temps le rapport qualité prix le justifie. L'île est pleine de decharges et ca a ete la plus grosse déception

Great place to stay - THE place at Gulhi. The only issue is the construction work next to the hotel (8.00-16.30 daily). Not a big issue for us. Very friendly staff and great service at the hotel (would recommend half/full board).

Twice housekeeping per day is great!

E il meglio che offre a gulhi si mangia bene bella spiaggia nel pacchetto e compreso 2 lettini e ombrellone borsa spiaggia e 2 teli mare unica cosa la pulizia della camera può essere migliorata .non si mangia come in Italia anche se fanno spaghetti olio e aglio carbonara coi funghi o le penne io mi sono trovato benissimo e al ristorante ho dato ii voto più alto

We stay at Ayala Ocean View 1 week and its the best hotel on the Island. If you are looking for a nice accomodation for a good price, I can just recommend. Staff very helpful, Hotel new and clean, food also very tasty.
Next to hotel is these day a big construction, so they make some noise from 8:00-18:00 everyday but thats the only negative point.
Dont hesitate and book early, that u get your room 🙂

Struttura ben curata e ben fatta. Servizio spiaggia è sicuramente molto piacevole, buffet colazione e cena ben fornito. A differenza di quanto menzionato da Voi (EXPEDIA), volevo rappresentarvi che la tassa di soggiorno da pagare sull'isola è di 3 USD e non 6 USD, in quanto tale importo è previsto per i Resort. Comunque una vacanza piacevole e soprattutto tanta tranquillità.

総合的に満足していますがフェリーに関して問題点があります。

フェリーが朝9時にMMA前に来ると言われましたが実際には9時半でした。しかも予約がされていなかった模様。フェリーのスタッフによると10時のフェリーに予約されている、と。しかし金曜日に10時のフェリーは無い。（もしかして次の日の予約に入っていた？）島にたどり着かないのでは、と不安でした。

他のフェリーを予約していたのに、こちらのホテル専用のボートがあるから、といわれわざわざ変更したのに結局は予約がちゃんとにされていなかった。

帰りのボートもホテル到着時に予約したのに前日に予約がされていないことが判明した。

ホテル自体はとても良いのだけれどフェリー往復とも不安があるので再訪はないかな。

Camera e bagno molto spaziosi. Letto comodissimo. Pulizia eccellente (passano due volte al giorno a riassettare). Personale super gentile, sempre sorridenti. Servizio di ristorazione in una comoda sala con la possibilità di sedersi anche all’aperto. L’hotel organizza tante escursioni con personale preparato e molto attento alle esigenze e alle criticità degli ospiti per x cui non ci si sente mai soli o in pericolo. Unico inconveniente i numerosi cantieri che ci sono a Gulhi, ma non dipende certo dall’hotel!
