Parking difficult due to event in hotel. We paid for an executive double room, the bed was very small and uncomfortable, definitely not a double so if booking be aware. Description indicates a restaurant, there is not one and breakfast is not served on a Monday. The location was ideal for where we wanted to go. We will not book again sorry.

A more traditional hotel, with lots of period features. We received a warm welcome from the staff. The Executive Room we had been allocated had a huge, and very comfortable, bed, and there was plenty of space in the room, with good hanging space and a sofa in the bay window. The bathroom was a little dated, but entirely functional. The hotel is close to the centre, but has lots of free parking to the rear. We did not have breakfast. We would definitely use this hotel in the future.

Check in was okay, strong smell of curry in the tiny reception area. The room was an executive room, it was spacious, clean and the bed was comfy. The whole place is in need of a total revamp and a touch of tlc. It’s an old property but I would say the decor is 80’s -90’s. There was paper peeling off in the bathroom, the tap on the sink was loose. It was just not worth 3* . We had breakfast, it was at best edible. We wouldn’t stay again if we were to visit the area.

Disppointed with the room as on booking it appeared to be on the ground floor, ideal for my husband who has mobility issues, but on arrival it was on the second floor up some steep stairs, not ideal. I had checked in on line as requested but when we got there the receptionist had no knowledge of this and we had to go through the whole proceedure again. Irritating. The shower was tiny and the whole place could do with some refurbishment. Not much choice for breakfast although what we got was beautifully cooked. On weekdays stops serving at 9am so no late mornings. Suggest talking to the hotel before booking.

The property is dated and in need of some refurbishment. The staff had only been in place for 3 days after a takeover(?) but were friendly and helpful as possible. The room was big and had a huge bathroom. The shower was not powerful and a towel ring would have been useful near the sink rather than us trailing water across the floor. Stayed about 12 months ago and enjoyed my stay so I returned.
This time I was in a different room, the double bed mattress was really hard and I had a bad nights sleep. The room was too warm and I couldn't turn the radiator off or down due to broken valve. The shower was poor as the shower head needs replacing or cleaning. I did it breakfast which was very good. It's a shame as the staff are great!

For price paid the condition of bathroom was not good shower had little pressure and cold bath tap washer had seized up. Kettle in room was a travel kettle and wasn't the best. The bed was uncomfortable and creeked everytime u moved seemed like was on palletts.

We stayed at the Quorn Lodge for two very comfortable nights. The staff were very friendly and exceptionally helpful (thanks for the shoes Daljeet). The hotel is within easy walking distance of the town center with plenty of free parking. The breakfasts were delicious too :). Will definitely be staying at the Quorn again on our next visit to Melton.

Pleasant hotel, clean with friendly staff. It does seem to have gotten stuck in the 1970’s somewhat but in a way this gave it a quirky appeal. Some updating would be good. The receptionist was also the waitress and bar tender. A bit like one of those comedy shows where the same face turns up wherever you go. But she did an amazing job !
