Overall our stay was okay and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, we kept getting a smell of urine in our room. We ended up finding out that the second bed had urine stains on the sheets and it smelled throughout the room. We weren’t able to switch rooms because it was all booked, but luckily it was just me and my husband and no one else was going to use that bed. The staff had Lysol that we could spray and we slept comfortable enough without smelling any urine.

Don't let the photos fool you. This place has roaches, black mold, possibly bed bugs. and the owner is very unpleasant to engage with she wouldnt upgrade the room we had from w 1 bed to 2 queens beds bc it was passed at certain time in the day and usually when aging online you don't need a 100 dollar deposit jrobut the previous night I was able to upgrade later on the night and the night crew Derek and Monica did an amazing job and more inviting than the owner.

It was the worse experience to have stayed here. We stayed in two rooms and they both had dirty sheets. One of the beds had blood on the pillow which is disgusting and unsanitary. The other room had nothing but hot water to shower. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Check in after 2pm from a 6hr drive …the room my family and I check in was not cleaned and trash was full, for a moment thought someone was in the room. Went back to the front desk to show pictures of the room. Gave me a different room , the hand towels look like overused rag. The floor was dirty… I carry Lysol wipes and had to wipe everything down..hate to say this but thank goodness we had a family emergency we had to leave and didn’t stay for the second night! Never again

The Location of this hotel consisted of a group of young men congregating with their bikes making shady sales right next to our hotel room. We had to change the location of our parked car because of the situtation; and the very strong liklihood of having our transportation damaged. The light switches and toilet appeared as if they had not been disinfected in months. Needless to say, we will never be staying at this location ever again.

The room smelled like smoke and/or something else (I suspect marijuana). I am from out of town there for a party so didn't enter room until that night. Once I opened the door, it had a very bad odor. I was tired and it was very late to ask for another room. Upon checking out, I mentioned it to the lady at the front desk and all I got was a sorry.

There are other hotels nearby, stay at one of those. Not this one.

They didn’t clean the room. Didn’t change my sheets. Would whip down the sink and took out the trash. Left the bed with dirty sheets. I even requested my room clean and that’s what they did. If you like dirty sheets and your bed not made and not clean towels and no soap. This is your place.

I moved around to 3 different rooms to try and find one with cable that worked, finally found a room with a TV that i could sign into netflix on and that room had a non working exhaust fan, most channels like TNT, paramount, usa, tru tv etc didnt work. When it was time to shower i found out that the shower wasnt working right and only had scalding hot water. There were no hand towels and the poor maintenance guy that was absolutely a GREAT guy was so busy he wasnt at the front counter. Within the first 30 minutes of being there i asked the owner for a refund and she refused. Expedia advertised that rooms were fully refundable which is a lie, i booked the room that afternoon at about 1:15 or so, checked in around 5ish and found out how bad the rooms were and could not get a refund!! I even paid the $9 room insurance fee which didnt help either. This hotel is terribly run down and an absolute mess, i would have been better off sleeping in my van.

This was the worst experience I have had in a motel possible ever.Not only did they refuse to bring any supplies, they did not pick up the trash except once. It was noisy, and appeared to be taken over by cartels.
The time before a very obese Hispanic said she could not find my reservation even thpigh BANK OF AMERICA SHOWED IT PAID
Her cartel.sounding boyfriend nasty.
Them she gets the owner on the phone, they act hysterical, and cancelled, probably caving to these cartels. IT WAS DEPLORABLE MOTEL, SERVICE, AND I WOULD ADVISE PEOPLE TO STAY CLEAR OF THEM. PLUS IT WAS INFESTED.

I booked my room at 11:54 p.m. on November 12th 2025 I have to check in just after midnight, do the security issue a different department had to handle the issue at hand which prevented me from checking in which ultimately came from hotels.com I was informed somebody would reach out to me within an hour nobody reached to me and I didn't get into my room until 3:43 in the morning and yet nobody from hotels.com has reached out to me they originally told me they were going to reach out to me to verify the identity and the credentials to my debit card they didn't reach out and instead authorized the charge rather than utilizing the security system like my account for a second step verification and yet it didn't happen

First of all the pictures do not show what this place actually is, I don’t really rate much but this hotel was the worse stay I’ve ever had, first of all there was some shady people their, looks like they were selling some substance there, bunch of homeless around and looked like there are people living in some of the rooms, the rooms were absolutely dirty, smelly and grimy, tv did not work, Fridge did not work, there was no shampoo or body wash in the restroom and since I was staying there two days I let the staff know that I needed room service and all the items that weren’t working so they said they were going to send the technician to solve all the problems but when I got back later that day absolutely nothing was done not even the room service which was absolutely frustrating not only that but the Wi-Fi is basically useless because it constantly looses signal this was just my experience so I would highly recommend you not to stay here if you enjoy a good night sleep.

Everything about that Hotel is terrible. People loitering outside the building are scary looking, they should hire security people to make sure the guests are safe. The looks won't lock and the shower heads are hard to operate. The air conditioning will stop after an hour so it gets hot in the middle of the night.

Complete Disaster!!

Room 111 had a leak underneath the sink and all around the toilet. When I walked out the door it wouldn’t lock and I could push the door open so I informed the front desk and they moved us to the next room 112. We again had to walk over to the front desk because the Tv wouldn’t turn on but was informed it was missing an hdmi cord. Then we noticed we couldn’t put the volume up or down or turn off theTV so we just manually turned off the TV & called it a night. There was also no soap in the room luckily I had brought my own. Around 4:30am I woke up to a flooded room! I threw towels on the floor to contain the water from spreading. There’s also no phone in the RM for emergencies so we just packed and at 7am we checked out & I was told Room 111, our RM 112 & 114 had flooded and they were waiting to hear from room 113. Book elsewhere!!

1st - got my key card (room was on the front side) & there was a black man on the 2nd bed & it smelled heavy of cigarette smoke (which is suppose to be smoke-free) A homeless man’s bike was right outside the door. They stated that the homeless have a habit of gaining access to he rooms.
2- the clerk took me to the 2nd room (on the backside) as we were walking to the room there were cigarette butts all over the place, a big woman had her door ajar (which is never a good sign). Upon entry I noticed the floor had not been swept and the linen was stained & very dirty. There no way I was going to stay there. I was able to get my money returned so that was a plus but I can believe this place passes for people to be able to stay here. A lot of changes need to be made & this could be a PRIME place to stay. Red Roof Inn surprised me w/ what use to be a prestigious hotel is a dump. Many families might try to get a room here. I’d hate for lil kids to see what this place represents.if I was you I’d look somewhere else.

Visiting Solvang and Santa Barbara and saving money was the goal. So I booked a room. Room was decent. Older furniture. Not the best looking room either. Had to ask for towels. The room was not supplied with body towels, hand towels, wash clothes, and a floor towel. For a two person stay, I asked management for towels. Management only provided two body towels and one wash cloth. The door lock to the room was difficult to operate. A good working door lock is assumed for a hotel stay. For a chilly night there was only one blanket per bed, no extras. Lastly, the shower basically only provided hot water, too hot. My next time in Lompoc, I will not stay Red Roof Inn.

The staff person at check-in was very friendly, but it was downhill after that. The walls are very thin, so we were able to hear our neighbor's conversations, when they used the water, used the hair dryer, and so on. Despite being in the back of the building, street noise was also noticeable. Our neighbor apparently stayed up all night, and we had to repeatedly let them know that they were playing their music too loud (it more than drowned out the tv in our room). They also had people coming and going throughout the night, slamming the door each time someone came or went.

We checked out after 7am, but there was no one at the front desk. There was a bell to ring, but no one responded to it. There was also a phone number to call, but when called, it rang a number of times and disconnected. We had to simply leave the key in the room.

This is not a place we will stay at again.

They gave us one towel for two guests, not even one hand towel and one bath towel, no jus one towel for two and it did not look clean. Shower did not look clean. Extremally noisy, there was loud music playing at midnight. To not mentioned someone tried to open our door around 12:30 – 1:00 am. We were not given the room we booked. Overall, hotel look nothing like the pictures.

You will be in the middle of crack heads and homeless people.
