The parking is safe and convenient, located right in front of your room. The key card didn’t work properly at first, but I was able to get a replacement. The hot water took a while to come late at night—possibly because demand was low—but it worked much better in the morning.

Budgett Inn there are very few words that describe the DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR of your manager and her family. You are engaging and encouraging the blantant disregard and discrimination of certain people that have given your business thousands of dollars and notoriety that you do not deserve. Your manager has no respect for the privacy or personal belongings of the guests that stay at your motel and I have first hand knowledge of it all. Is this the business you are proud of? Is this the business that you want to be known for??? That’s the difference between you and me apparently!

The room was relatively clean & comfortable for a “Budget” style hotel.
However, I was quite disappointed to find that our room had NO HOT WATER! The worst part was that my neighbor & I tried to call for assistance, nobody would answer the phone. VERY disappointing!

This place was so clean and safe. I would recommend this motel to anyone staying in Lompoc. Coupled with the fact that it is so hard to find someplace just to sleep without paying over $100/night. This was great!

Not great. Bed was comfortable and shower pressure was good, everything else was very lack luster. Exterior was dim, there was no drinking water, not even for sale. The office closes at some point in the night and not sure when it reopens as trying to check out no one was there yet by 8am. The ice machine was out of order, no vending machines were operational and the area right next to my room (first one) looking like a dumpster. The curtains are NOT black out and windows seemed to be single pane as you could hear all outside noise.

Cheap stay

Room smelt heavily of cigarettes. It was clean to an extent but obvious no deep clean is done between guests. Homeless had cut a hole in the fence behind the property and were funneling themselves in. Made my family feel slightly unsettled. They did stay for their full stay as no refund was available but we did change to a different hotel in Lompoc which was much better. You're getting what you pay for and if you're not looking for much then you may enjoy this place. In the future, I won't rebook for family or myself

Front desk was friendly. Asked for 2 extra toilet papers and was allowed to get 1. They were nice enough to put it outside of our room since we were away.

Room is spacious and in older condition than pictures.
Bed, linen, and pillows were clean and comfortable.
Chairs seemed dirty.
Bathroom door had to be yanked to open and close.
Shower head comes out in mists and one of the nights the hot water was barely lukewarm.
All shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand wash were mostly filled but they smelled pretty odd, not so much of the fresh kind. I recommend bringing your own toiletries.

Noise level was pretty good.

Overall pretty decent for a short and budget friendly stay. Will probably pay more for better room next time.

stunningly clean - everything looked brand new, especially the bathroom.
very friendly and nice reception lady :)
despite the obvious renovation the building is older so prepare for a bit of internal noise - water / shower systems in other rooms can be heard, fridge was loud etc - if you're a light sleeper take some earplugs.
motel is conveniently located next to shops and businesses which DOES mean there are people around - we did get woken up to the sound of someone trying all of the car doors in the parking lot at one point - so make sure you do lock up! Area didn't feel unsafe however.

My husband and our 1 year old booked a stay here as a pit stop on a long road trip. It far exceeded our expectations. We were upgraded to a room with a kitchenette, didn't realize how much better that would be. We ended up making dinner there which was much better than dragging our baby out to dinner at 8pm. She was exhausted and needed to wiggle around. The room was so clean and comfortable. The hotel is very quiet and the workers are attentive and sweet.

Appeared to be the only fair place to stay! Tons of autos/trucks each and every night. One night i did not make a reservation..had to stay at a locally owned ‘inn’..that inn was still using pen/paper..elevators did not work..nothing worked. For the money charged…BUDGET was well worth my money..clean, clean, strong lock. That’s all i needed. I was there to work..just needed a clean room.thats what i got.

I was disappointed with stay, there was 3 things that stood out 1st the sink was clogged up, 2nd in the morning it took about 30min for the hot water to come out from the shower and the 3rd was the sliding door for the restroom kept on falling from the rails and wouldn’t close properly.

The manager of the place is a very bad person. He treats customers with obscene language and wants to assault visitors without listening. He tried to assault me and beat me just because I asked to know why he wanted my visa card even though I paid online. He threw me out immediately.

DO NOT COME HERE, PLEASE READ ALL REVIEWS BEFORE BOOKING.
The first red flag was the smoke detector was ripped off the wall. The restroom had some weird yellow brown stains in the shower. And the worst part there were cockroaches. It was the most unpleasant and uncomfortable thing ever to have the crawl all around the room and in the bed. We slept with the lights on because we just kept seeing cockroaches left and right wherever we stepped. We killed about 8 the whole night and there were still some crawling around. This hotel was cheap but not clean at all, I would have rather stayed at the motel 6 instead. Please don’t come here if you want cockroaches crawling on you at night.

NOT A SAFE PLACE TO STAY! DO NOT STAY HERE!

There are MAJOR Safety concerns at this property. Although there are security cameras, I can tell you from personal experience they are NOT monitored. We checked in earlier in the day, went to an event and came back about 11:30 PM. Both Card keys would not work and we were LOCKED OUT. Nobody answered the front door where the owner/property manager lives, and no one answered the phone. We were left stranded! Thankfully, Motel 6 had an opening and someone is on duty 24 seven otherwise we would’ve been forced to sleep in our vehicle! The manager/owner was useless, and showed very poor customer service. I cannot recommend this property EVER!

The issue isn’t the hot water(although I really rely on that to start my day) it’s the matter of not having recourse to remedy any matter that may arise, be it air conditioning, no hot water for the shower, or locking yourself out and can’t reach any live person at the front desk.

We were assigned an upstairs room, but we asked for a downstairs which they did, but the room was not that clean and didnt have a remote for tv. No phone in the room to call front desk, had to go to office, they said, thar room's tv was not working but they could move us to another room. right next door. That room was a lot cleaner and seemed it had been renovated and was really nicer. The staff was very understanding and willing to accomodate us. They were nice and made our stay good.

Don't stay here!!! Terrible! Noisy!

Rooms are not soundproof. Too much loud talking outside my door both room 212 and 103 moved to. Smoke detector would alarm for no reason and never fixed Room 103. Person in nearby room took showers at 4.03 AM and woke me up two mornings in a row. Gritty crap on floor-Never bare foot here. Hot water would take 10 minutes in the shower. Small parking lot. 1 Rating!

My inly issue is the riff raff Nothing against the property, the Inn or the management and owners, all of wich are very nice and kind people. Its just lompoc as a whole. I am a traveling construction worker. If my truck gets broke into, i loose my way to make money. I have had good luck at this property so far but i fear its just a matter of time.

Even though the property may be a little older, the rooms was clean and well equipped, bathroom was clean too.
What we didn't like was the noisy water faucets, water comes out strong and thr burst of water shooting out is loud, both on the tub and on the sink, and we found the tub a little slippery, not sure if it was just the room we stayed in. Also, there was a small chair in the corner of room that looked a little too old and dirty looking (just nit-picking).
We would definitely stay there again.

Room is not what was pictured on the website. It's a basic room with a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, not the kitchenette like is in the picture. Everything was clean and comfortable which is all I ask of a budget hotel. It's a good place to stay. Staff were friendly.

Although the property itself appeared rather old (parking lot was degraded), the room had clearly had a lot of work done, like new flooring and tile in the bath. I had a great first impression of the room and the bed was very comfortable. The staff is personable and charming. I only have the shower to complain about. It took about 10 minutes of letting the water run before it got warm enough to get in, and the shower head was so high and blew a sort of mist, that by the time it touched my skin, the temperature was barely tolerable. It was a chilly shower.
