This was one of the best hotel stays we have had recently. The room was nice and the grounds were well maintained. The staff were all very nice and helpful, from the front desk staff to the housekeeping staff to the staff that were in charge of the restaurant, especially Jose, Sonny and Christian in the attached restaurant and bar. They were all super friendly every day we went to breakfast and/or ate dinner in the restaurant and you can't go wrong with complimentary cocktails! The cooked to order breakfast was also great, food was well prepared and fresh every morning. Great hotel stay all around!

We weren’t able to try any amenities since we left really early in the morning for our one night stay but they had a ton of things! Pool, bar, hot tub, shuffleboard, 8 ball, breakfast lunch AND dinner at very extendable times and more! The staff was really helpful and took their time explaining the area to us when we first checked in. Check in went smooth, the rooms were clean, bed was comfy, bathroom is small but still great! Tons of parking as well; you can park in front of your room too! There’s also a lot of food around this area as well. Would definitely book again!

This version is about 1,200 characters and should fit easily:

I booked this hotel because of its high rating and description, which made it sound like a great family-friendly property with arcade games. Traveling with three kids, that was a major reason I chose it. Unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve had.

The advertised “arcade” was essentially just a pool table area. There were no actual arcade games for kids. Had I known that, I would have booked somewhere else.

The room had numerous maintenance problems. My key card stopped working repeatedly, forcing me to go back to the front desk four times to have it reset. Several electrical outlets didn’t work, a lamp wouldn’t turn on, and the room phone was completely dead. When I reported these issues, I was told they had been replacing a lot of phones lately, but no real solution was offered.

The shower faucet barely worked and had to be turned excessively hard before water would come out. The pool looked cloudy and green, and the hot tub was tiny and didn’t appear particularly clean.

Breakfast the next morning was also very disappointing.

Overall, I feel the property is significantly overrated and does not match the expectations created by its rating and description. I wish I had stayed elsewhere and would not recommend this hotel to families looking for the amenities that are advertised.

This was an impromptu stay as we decided to add another night to our little trip up the coast. We were so surprised by all the amenities, including the glasses of wine, complementary at the bar/restaurant. We were also delighted at by the made to order breakfast. But overall, the best thing we found was the service which was so warm and gracious. We had spent the night in Solvang for over double price and yet this little gem was so inexpensive and yet had so much to offer. We also enjoyed dinner in the restaurant the evening of our check-in. We will definitely make this a regular stopping place on future trips.

I have zero conplaints about the hotel, it was comfortable, relaxing and quiet. Staff was great no issues, i would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone that needs to stay in Lompoc or looking for a place close to Solvang.

Now for the little restaurant where you get your complimentary breakfast.. lunch or dinner. It is chaotic, me and my wife waited almost 35 minutes before we decided to leave. They are very unorganized although its probably not intentional, it is an inconvenience for sure. We left and just got breakfast somewhere else.
There were ppl waiting to get something to drink before we got there and still nothing when we left. Then there was a couple that had walked in about 20 minutes after we got there, went to the bar, and they were served while we were waiting trying to at least have someone come ask us what we want to drink. That never happened at all.. sorry but its a thumbs down for me..

It was very good. There was additional fees not clearly shown on the Hotels.com site. However 2 free dinner drinks were included (bar on site) and the free breakfast was made to order based on a limited menu. But you can add some items such as steak or avocado, but at an additional charge. I chose option 2 which was a made to order quesadilla with english muffin. It was good. There is a bistro which serves a complementary breakfast, and dinner (not complementary). The food is decent, but they are understaffed and service was slow for every meal. The wait staff was doing the best they could, running their legs off, but the hang-up seems to be in the kitchen, where there is only one cook. I don’t know if the kitchen could accommodate a second cook, but it would help if it could.

Cute at first. Disappointing overall. Not again.

The stay started off well enough with an easy check-in. My kids and I went to the spa immediately, but the water was low and the water was cloudy and dirty. I was uncomfortable sitting in it.
When we went to get our free breakfast at the restaurant we were left waiting for long minutes at our table for our order to be taken, and then waited an excessively long time after we received our drinks for the food itself. While we waited, we got up to play foosball, and three waitresses all separately tried to clear our table while we were away from it. (The restaurant was NOT crowded. They could clearly see us playing Foosball!) One server took our silverware! When our food finally came it was bland, stale (reheated?), and the pancakes were chewy. My kids didn't eat the pancakes, I barely ate any of my own food. I refused to take my kids back the next day, and instead spent $60 on a fantastic breakfast at American Hospitality.
The room itself is comfortable but needs minor maintenance. I told the manager that carpet nails at the bathroom door poked both my and my son's feet. Lastly the room was not cleaned despite my specific request for housekeeping that morning, and then again in the afternoon. I ended up just going to the front desk to get new towels that evening.
I made my complaint to the manager/owner and he offered apologies but no compensation. He was nice, but... I will not be staying here again.

I read good reviews about the complimentary breakfast, so hoped that would make up for bad rooms. The problem was it took 20 minutes to sit down and another 30 minutes to get my food. They restaurant wasn't even packed. It only had 2 servers the whole time we were there so they were just understaffed. I can't give this place a good review

decent spot, clean, not fancy. good TV, sounded like a great breakfast, but I was out before 7AM, parking good, room okay and shower pretty good!

Only issue was my credit card was declined for no reason (used another). I checked right after, no issues and then used it shortly after, no issue. The desk guy was polite, but it was a hassle, and I am pretty sure he punched something in wrong which created the problem. Not a huge deal, but annoying and cost me 10 minutes.
