There were other hotel options nearby. The capsule hotel rooms were a bit loud with other guests rustling around or snoring and leaving luggage all over the place in the hallway. It was a cheap accommodation so the value was there. Personally, I would rather spend a bit more for a private room based on this experience.

An easy capsule hotel to stay at. **Positives: *No 'checking out every time you leave the hotel,' no 'cleaning day' unless you stay there more than a week. **Neutral: *Their capsules are the type that offer _some_ privacy (as opposed to, say, the side-curtain kind), although they sure don't block the sound. Bring a couple pairs of noise-cancelling headphones. *The door to the terrace still seems to be the kind that ANYONE can lock from the inside. (So I didn't go out to the terrace, this stay.) Note to the hotel: Have you considered replacing that lock with one that requires a key, or perhaps installing an intercom to call the front desk for when someone gets locked out? *The Kinshicho area feels like home to me, although the garbage-strewn parks nearby make me wonder why.🤔 **Negatives: The filth seems to be building up around the corners of each bathroom stall. Seems like a symptom of lazy and/or rushed floor-cleaning. *The mattresses aren't getting any more comfortable. Please don't let them get too old before you replace them. *iiirc the coin laundry was 300 yen for a wash, then 100 yen for 10 minutes of dryer time. I wouldn't recommend paying \"100 yen for 10 minutes\" when there are \"100 yen for 30 minutes\" dryers out there. *Various dead-eyed, inconsiderate tourists filling the hallways. I recommend avoiding like the plague.

Another really nice stay. It's an easy capsule hotel to stay at, without some of the restrictions placed on you at other capsule hotels. And this time, I brought two pairs of noise-cancelling earphones, which drowned out the noisy neighbors. Floors and bathrooms could be cleaner, showers could be a bit less cramped, etc. -- the usual complaints. But those aside, this place helps Kinshichou feel like home, when I'm in Tokyo.

Stayed here for 5 months! The beds were comfy and they clean every day! Showers are clean and the rooftop bar is amazing. And the staff were always friendly and wanting to help as much as they can! I’d recommend this to everyone who wants a nice stay in Tokyo for an amazing price!

Very clean facility, with outstanding staff and excellent accommodations, showers were always clean and plenty of room in the capsules. Extremely close to Kinshicho Station with access to the Tokyo SKYTREE and a lot of good food, very comfortable for my 10 night stay! Thank you for an excellent experience during my first trip to Tokyo!

Had a great stay here. Simple, easily accessible (about an eight-minute walk from to metro stations). The staff members were helpful, and the facilities were remarkably clean (especially for the amount of people using them). It is a solid choice for a capsule hotel.

Great location. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Convenient to the metro. Easy to get to Ueno Park where many museums are. It was nice that you get fresh towels every day. The kitchen wasn't much. A small area, a microwave, and a kind of steam cooker.

This is the 2nd time I've stayed here; as I said in a previous review, this is an easy capsule hotel to stay at. No \"forced check-outs\" during cleaning each day and no \"every time I leave or come back I have to check in with the front desk\" nonsense. Staff is a bit of a mixed bag, ranging from quite friendly to not-super-friendly, but that's ok. The pillow is quite comfortable (although the bed itself isn't), the blanket's warm and the bathrooms (with 4 toilets on my floor) and showers are nice.

So why the (relatively) low score?

Well, you see....I would often go to a convenience store to get food, bring it back and sit on the \"8th floor terrace\" (ie. 'roof') and eat. One day, when I was done eating, the door to get back inside was locked. I knocked and knocked and maybe 5 (or 10) minutes later, someone happened to come onto the 8th floor and they opened the door for me.

When I had gone outside, there had been someone standing in the hallway, talking on the phone, waiting for laundry. I suspect that person was fiddling with the lock while they were on the phone and they left it locked when their laundry finished. (Nothing malicious, mind you.)

Right, a customer locked me out. Because the door leading to the terrace lets them do that. (In fact, it makes it pretty easy to do so.)

It that seems dumb to you....well, it seems dumb to me too. Perhaps the hotel could replace that lock with one that requires a key, so that only staff can lock the door?

At the end of the day it is a capsule hotel. Very cheap, but the space for the luggage kind of reduced, so there were luggages on the floor on the sleeping part (not inside lockers). Overall, good enough, I only used it for sleeping.

Some capsule hotels are sort of a bother to stay at, but this one was easy. The check-in was smooth, there was a shoe locker by the entrance, the capsules were surprisingly spacious (for capsules), the sleeping room was generally very quiet, Wifi was steady, the toilets were ample, the bathroom sinks were nice, the garbage cans were easy to find and easy to use...all in all, a nice stay. No \"checking out\" every time you left the building; I just walked to the shoe locker, put on my shoes and left. Minor gripes: The hotel was a bit difficult to find, the first night -- although it was dark and raining; once I'd found it, I realized how close it was to the station. The pillow was nice but the bedding itself left a bit to be desired, and I woke up with my back pretty stiff each morning. Bathrooms were mostly very clean but not entirely hair-free. Overhead lights in the sleeping room were left on some nights, and I didn't see how to turn them off. (Someone came in during the night and turned them off, though.) No TV in the capsules, alas. (I like to connect my Switch and play it during down-time.) Just one elevator, although I avoided the rush to check out by just checking out half an hour early. The smell of smoke wafted in through a nearby open window; I imagine it was workers doing construction nearby, on break.

Only problem was the address, I could not get the right one untill I texted with Expedia team and gave me the actual location as it was missing the word Tokyo, Unknown reason from me as a foreigner. Other than that I found everything easy and I would stay again If I have the chance, very close to train station.
