Lovely part of the Island.

It was wonderful.
All the staff were amazing & food delicious.
Preferred our previous room where we had a door into the en suite. The privacy curtain wasn’t really big enough (or soundproof!). But all that aside we had a fabulous time & will return.

This is definitely not a 3 star hotel. The room is dated and could do with a makeover. The pool was dirty and the plastic tumbler we were given to have our drinks at the poolside had a rancid smell. Although the dinner buffet had a large variety of dishes, none of them were great, just ok. Our pool towel had a gaping hole. Terrible

Wonderful stay at Coin de mire attitude

The hotel and it's staff were very friendly and helpful. They planned a special dinner for us one evening and treated us to a free couples massage as it was our honeymoon trip. They also set the table nicely and made a special cake for my husband as it was his birthday during our stay.

The free activities also kept us entertained. The glass bottom boat rides and snorkeling trips are amazing. The paid catamaran trip is also completely worth it. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Trip was awesome, hotel was lovely, clean and staff were brilliant. The only thing we didn’t realise was that the hotel was across the road from the beach, this wasn’t really an issue as it was only a very short walk over the road, it was just was surprise it wasn’t within the grounds of the hotel.

Check in took a bit longer than I felt it should, but maybe that was not the hotel's fault. The provided a gift upon check in which was a pleasant surprise. The hotel grounds are simply beautiful and the wifi was good. The rooms have an "islandy, tropical" vibe to them, One downside was the towels were dingy and clearly had seen better days.
The beach was across the road but it provided excellent views. The hotel also provides kayaking, glass bottom cruise and other perks with your room. There was entertainment at dinner almost every night.
The buffet had a great variety and even catered to persons with food restrictions.
The hotel is about a 5 minute drive from Notre Dame, the red roofed church.
My only complaint was I felt I was slighted at dinner by the wait staff. They were not rude, but I feel I got less attention versus french speaking guests. But the other hotel staff were amazing!

Nice Stay!!

This location is good. Beside a beautiful beach. Public transports are frequently available to Grand Bay market area (around 4 Kms).

Services are very good. All the staffs are very friendly, attentive and active.

Breakfast and Dinner was included in my package. It has a wide choice of buffet menu. But, I started feeling the taste monotonous from my 3rd day of stay. Anyways, good taste indeed.

There are many water activities like kayaking, pedal boat, glass bottom boat etc. are available free of cost in the hotel's beach.

Overall a memorable stay! I would recommend others.

Hotel Staff should have been more forthcoming

It was a holiday trip for 2 for a week. The hotel, location is good, well maintained but the staff were not very helpful, and they always try to give you wrong information so that you are forced to choose Taxi / Leisure services from the hotel(They get their own commission from this) which are way too expensive than the local prevailing rates.

Here you will experience warm hospitality and enough to justify your limited expenses. The evening buffet and breakfast is really good! Remember this place is three star, and don't expect anything more from facilities and the quality of amenities. We booked for four nights, but only stayed for one night because of the road between the the resort and the beach. The manager and staff's service was superior to transfer us to Zilwa, a four star sister Attitude resort. They went out of their way to assist us with a smooth transfer. The resort offers and exciting holiday programme and ne can feel the friendly family atmosphere of this resort.

A luxurious hotel with outstanding service

From the start to the end of my stay at Coin de Mire Attitude, I was thoroughly impressed with the hotel, with its beautiful and comfortable facilities, and with the high quality of service. The hotel is a few meters away from a beautiful beach with stunning views and with complimentary water sports facilities, including kayaking and boating. The hotel also has two fantastic swimming pools in a beautiful setting. I spent three nights at the hotel on a solo getaway. I was treated as royalty. One afternoon, a complimentary fruit platter was delivered to me as room service, as a gift from the hotel manager, whom I met only the following night when he came to my dinner table to meet me! The staff were genuinely helpful, friendly, and kind toward all guests. I visited the hotel spa for a number of treatments, including a relaxing massage and temporary henna tattooing, and I was very impressed by the quality of the treatments and the relaxing atmosphere. Included in the price, I was given complimentary buffet breakfasts and dinners. The food was absolutely outstanding. The hotel is a walk or short bus ride from Grand Baie, and the city bus runs to and from Grand Baie every fifteen minutes. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a relaxing getaway in a tranquil setting, whether you enjoy water sports or simply would like to rest on the recliners by the pool, I am certain that you would enjoy your stay here.

The hotel is ideally situated to explore the area from, bus stop right outside the hotel - very handy. Drinks are pricey at hotel, but Winners supermarket down the road is fabulously priced. Drying wet clothing a bit of a hassle, the units don't have any drying racks. Storage is great, bathrooms big and clean. Overall good value for money. Swimming is fantastic, great beaches around there. Safe area. I would recommend this hotel again and again.

First appearances was not good at all but it actually got better through the stay. The hotel is pretty decent overall but is let down by some simple things that can be fixed by the staff. Pros: nice room, nice private beach, good food, amazing desert, clean, great value for money.
Cons: horrible attitude by certain staff. Some staff We're fantastic, some just proper hopeless. Tea/coffee in your room not free. They don't give you water in room at all for free. The lady showing you your room for first time made me feel like I'm in jail.

Overall it was ok. Not as bad as I thought. The private beach was great. Had few free activities too. Easy to catch public bus to Grand Baai for 48 rupees for the return trip. Cheap and convenient. I would stay here again if I had to but would hope lots of staff are changed or trained at least.

Nice staff but the rooms need a major overhaul

We booked a deluxe room for two people (honeymoon) but we later found out that apart from the beach view (barely), there was no other difference between this and their regular rooms. The beach was very very disappointing as its barely ten feet and not that clean. The staff is very helpful and kind but that's the only consolation. Probably wouldn't stay there again, but a good thing is that its very near to the major markets - Grand Baie and Pereybere.

Great Hotel. Would recommend.

Hotel and facilities were great. The food was tasty and well prepared, the only disappointment being the lack of actual fruit juice as opposed to the sugary cordial that most resorts seem to have. There were two cats that were ALWAYS in the dining/eating area. None of the staff seemed to actually care!! A bit strange, but there you go!

The free activities and kids club were both really great. As a family with a 5 year old and 18 month old, having the main road to cross to get to the beach with the psycho bus drivers and taxi drivers about is a bit concerning. Fortunately there is always a guard on duty at the entrance, so that made things a little safer. The beach itself was not as post card perfect as we thought it would be, but it was still beautiful.

The hotel needs a walking line or clothes airer. When we asked for one, the helpful staff put up a washing line between 2 palm trees out the front of our room. Not ideal, but we appreciated the effort!

Overall very much enjoyed the hotel, would stay there again and would recommend to friends and family.

Good value allround holiday hotel

Had an overall very good experience with main key being the people, no exception all very welcoming and helpful.
3 pools including a true baby splash pool makes this a true family hotel. We had B&B and ate outside for warm meals, hence no chance to test the cooking fully.
Small downsides, its a bit noisy on the northern part of the hotel, where there is no wall to the closeby busy road. I would have hoped for wifi in all the rooms, but access at pool and resto was also quite sufficient.
Overall we were very happy and at the price of 118 USD we paid we felt very happy to have had a good service in return.

We really enjoyed our stay here and would love to return one day. The staff made us very welcome throughout our visit and were always cheerful and obliging. The hotel was clean and the communal areas, including the swimming pools, were well maintained but some of the soft furnishings in the room were a little tired. We were staying on a bed and breakfast basis but ended up eating there almost every night. The buffets included a wide variety of food so there was always something we enjoyed although occasionally the puddings lacked inspiration. There are alternative restaurants in the nearby town of Pereybere but that involved getting there and back. A road runs between the hotel and its beach but that was not a problem for us. Buses run frequently and are cheap. Taxis are always available from outside the hotel and are cheaper than in England. WiFi is available only in the bar and reception areas and is rather slow, but free.

Great Hotel with nice beach across the street

I checked in quite late at night (nearly midnight - which we pre-arranged) and when we arrived the person at the front desk gave us a plate of delicious food to take to our room, just figuring we might be hungry. It's touches like that which separate basic hotel service from real excellence in hospitality. Everything else to do with the hotel was great. Only stayed there 2 brief nights, so didn't get in the pool, or explore many of the amenities. But overall I'd highly recommend just based on the level of service.

Overall the experience was good. Location is great, just a short bus-trip from Grand Bay. The staff are amazing.Really friendly and professional. Buffet food is good and varies every night. Negatives are unstable and slow internet service and an expensive "all inclusive" option. (Lunch and local drinks). Cocktails are not great and overpriced. This is also the only hotel that I have ever stayed in that wants to charge you for in room tea and instant coffee. Pro-tip: Get a room as far away from the bar as possible, especially if you have kids. Entertainment can be loud and goes on quite late. An upgrade from the base rooms is worthwhile. Located further away and more luxurious.

Stay in deluxe room

We stayed in the hotel for 6 nights - the first of which in a superior room (they had no deluxe rooms available because of flight cancellations and offered us a massage (very good one by the way!) as compensation) and the next 5 in a deluxe room. First advice - stay in a deluxe room - they are much, much nicer! The hotel beach is not that bad but nothing great, so it is better to rent a car or a scooter and discover the island. The hotel is near Pereybere - you can walk for around 25 minutes - where there is a nice beach, some good diving shops and some restaurants. It is away from the crowds, in a quiet area. We ate at the hotel restaurant once - acceptable but not that good. There are a lot of better restaurants in Pereybere (5 minutes by scooter) and Grand Baie (10 minutes). Breakfast was good. If you want to stay in a resort all day, this is not the place for you (go to Trou aux Biches or Belle Mare beaches - much nicer), but a deluxe room makes a nice (and reasonably priced for the island) resting place for some trips around the north.

Hotel really lovely clean and pretty.Pool dirty as the children run onto grass borders then into pool with dirty feet.Sunbed cushions could do with being renewed In 2 weeks holiday sent back dirty knife twice spoon plate and a glass. Children ran around really load and no rules applied .Too many children for such a small pool/hotel . wi fi what wi fi ? Food most the same buffet then New Year when we paid extra really nice.A little to far out to eat out every night and costly with cabs as buses only run till 7pm.

Lovely, relaxing place in great location

A lovely small complex in a quiet area in the north of the island which feels better than it's 3* rating. We stayed in the small block 600, which was away from the bar so not disturbed by evening music. There is the road, already commented on by other reviewers but we were never disturbed by this.
We initially booked b & b, but added dinners as no restaurants in the area. Both breakfast and dinners were on buffet basis, with wide variety of dishes.
Our room was lovely and bright, and room kept spotlessly keen.
The pool area was well maintained although we tended to use the beach more as never tired of the view. Also went out in the glass bottom boat and kayaks (both free).

Still wonderful second time around

This was the second time we stayed in this hotel. The work they did to rennovate was well done.
It is still a lovely hotel which feels more intimate due to the fact that the rooms are arranged like small terraced, two-level houses in lovely gardens.
This hotel is away from the busier Pereybere and even busier Grand Bay. They have added some activities every day which you can join if you want, most of which are free.
The staff are friendly and helpful whether you are trying to find out about the small hedgehog in the grounds or the bus to take to Grand Bay or Grand Gaube.
They even make sure that you get across the road okay to go to the beach.
The food on the buffet in the evening catered for both carnivores and vegetarians with both starters and mains, never mind the desert selection.
Hope to go back again at some point.

Coin de Mire - nice family location

The hotel was great for people with kids, not that there we hundreds running around. Lots of international guests (French, Scandanavian etc). Small intimate hotel with great service, well positioned to catch a bus to Grand Bay or to Port Louis. My family made use of the kayaks and pedal boats and we went on the glass bottom boat as well.

Drinks were very expensive but then all hotels are. We celebrated out wedding anniversary on this trip and the hotel organised a special table for us and a lovely delicious small cake!

We loved coming back to our room with the towels decorated on the bed with flowers everywhere.

The only negative was that we didn't realise that the beach has quite a bit of broken coral so we should have taken water shoes with us!

Quiet, pleasant, very good service

We stayed one week at the hotel at half board. We are very satisfied with the hotel service, the conditions are good and the garden is very beautiful and well-maintained. The food is tasty and varied. Services at additional costs are offered, such as trips to interesting locations, yacht trip with snorkeling and others. We went to the yacht trip and the snorkeling was an extraordinary and memorable experience. However, the drinks are costly and of inferior quality. In general, it was a very relaxing, quiet and pleasing holiday.

Neue gepflegte Anlage mit hervorragenden Essen. Schöner Strand gegenüber der Anlage (über die Straße) erreichbar. Glassbottomboat, SUP, Trettboot & Kajak inkl. vom Hotel. Taxistand vor dem Hotel hat doppelte Preise aufgerufen und auch der Wechselkurs im Hotel war deutlich teuerer als am ATM. Überschaubare Anzahl an Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants außerhalb des Hotels vorhanden, wenn man etwas Wehstrecke in Kauf nimmt.

A great 3.5 star hotel with excellent service. The people working there really wanted you to have a good time and served to all needs and wishes. Very accommodating.
The rooms were very spacious and nicely decorated.
Also the pool was great but not heated so too cold to swim in. But since this period is not so hot it was ok, nevertheless it would be nice to take a swim in a warmer pool. Enough sun beds for all guests.
A very nice hotel, nice and well kept grounds and great staff.

Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön und gemütlich angelegt. Vor allem die Mahlzeiten am Pool haben wir sehr genossen. Die abendliche Lifemusik ist sehr abwechslungsreich und stimmungsvoll. Hotel qualitatif , propre ,joliment aménagé a dimension humaine loin des ''monstres 4 et 5 étoiles ''
qualité de l'accueil , amabilité et gentillesse du personnel
cuisine gouteuse et variée ( nous étions en demi pension pendant 10 j ) , pour notre part chambre tranquille car a l'opposé de la piscine et du bar , bien que le passage des bus se ressentent, mais on s'habitue très vite
jolie petite plage et décor de rêve en traversant la rue en face de l'hôtel , mais difficile de s'y baigner ( pas de fonds , algues , rochers ) , préférez Péreibere ,Grand Baie ou mieux la plage de Mont Choisy , 130 roupie par personne en Bus ( 15mn )
bref , que du plaisir facile et extrêmement apaisant
Taxi pour GBaie , entre 300 et 400 roupies , 600 a 700 pour MChoisy , parfois 800 pour Goodman
le change a l'aeroport est le plus interressant , actuellement 1 € = 48 roupies

Nous avons passé notre voyage de noce dans cet hôtel durant 8 jours.
Accueil parfait, digne d’un palace! la chambre est très grande et propre.
L’hôtel est magnifique de la piscine, au bar en passant par la zone de restauration.
Un grand merci à Nitin pour les conseils donnés pour bien visiter l’île, toutes les attentions apportées et le temps qu’il a passé avec nous. Merci a Vish pour les fruits de mer 😉.

Virkelig et dejligt hotel!

Uforglemmelig uge! Vi følte os meget velkomne, intet problem var for småt - vi blev hjulpet med et smil, og følte os aldrig til besvær. Vildt lækker mad! God pool og rigtig fine aktiviteter. Dejligt at der var gratis udlån af strandhåndklæder. Pænt og hyggeligt hotel. Meget familievenligt og hotellet skaber rammerne for en dejlig og afslappet ferie.

Etape de 3 jours au nord de l'ile

Hôtel bien situé pour visiter le nord de l'ile. Les chambres sont agréables et bien tenues.
La plage de l'autre côté de la route n'est pas la meilleure de l'ile, il faudra aller vers mont choisy pour avoir un cadre paradisiaque.
Le buffet du restaurant n'est pas à la hauteur de ce que l'on pourrait espérer pour ce type d'hôtel.

An fantastic experience with a local touch !

Coin de Mire was a surprisingly amazing hotel. We didn't expected that much of a service, when we booked our 3 nights stay. They had 2 beautiful pools, one of them is surrounded by too many palm trees, swimming in it feels magical. Next to the pool the have a food truck that sells delicious local food like roti or bajis for 1-2$. We prefered the streets food over the main restaurant at the entrance. Thanks Leena for the introduction to street food!

Next to the Food-Truck, they offer a dining experience where they only serve a local food fusion with a fine dining experience. Looks very cosy, tastes delicious. It was the best dining experience we had in Mauritius for our 2 weeks stay.

The rooms are big, cosy, and felt luxurious compared to the other hotels way stayed at.

They offer various activities through out the day on site ...cooking classes, rum tasting, stand up paddling, yoga..depending on the weekday.

The location is great enough to discover the island by car. the beach is right across the hotel, it's not a nice one, but it gives you a great view.

Coin de Mire is a hotel we would book again any day! We felt like getting spoilt. Thanks Vishal for making us feel special.

Staff at reception extremely unfriendly and not willing or motivated to help you in any possible way. But if you don't have to deal too much with them, I can definitely recommend the hotel.
The GM is amazing and doing all he can to assist the guests.
Also Yash at the restaurant offered exceptional service!

Hôtel de petite taille mais avec tous les avantages d’un grand complexe .On a fait de belles rencontres , on s’échangeait les bon plans : bus, taxis , excursions .... On s’y sent tellement bien . Convivialité et zen attitude font de cet hôtel une belle adresse à Maurice . Tout le monde est aux petits soins et si gentil que nous avons regretté de changer d’hôtel pour la
2eme semaine . nous sommes actuellement dans un très grand complexe mais trop
Impersonnel à notre goût ! Nous allons revenir dans cet hôtel car en plus très pratique au niveau localisation . Nous sommes sur la côte est et dans la pampa depuis aujourd’hui, nous avons le Blues d’avoir quitté Le coin de mire

Tolles Hotel um einen fairen Preis!

Es waren 4 schöne Tage im Coin de Mire Attitude.
Obwohl nur ein 3 Sterne Hotel ist es ein sehr schön eingerichtets Hotel. Das Servicepersonal ist auch super bemüht und sehr Kinderfreundlich.

Die bereits in vielen Bewertungen angesprochene Straße hat uns überhaupt nicht gestört. Ich hab darauf gar nicht groß geachtet. Außerdem weiß man ja bereits beim Buchen das es dort eine Straße gibt.

Negativ:
- Die Hotel-Taxipreise sind leider eine Frechheit. Uns wurde ein Airport Pickup um 60€ pro Person angeboten was ich abgelehnt habe und um 40€ Gesamtpreis auf mytransfer online ein Taxi gebucht habe.
Eine Fahrt hin und retour zum Supermarkt (2km) wurde mir um 400 Rupien (~10€) angeboten. Ein lokales Taxi nimmt die Hälfte dafür. Nehmt lieber den Bus um viel weniger Geld
- Das Essen! Die ersten 2 Tage war das Essen wirklich schrecklich. Alles richtig tot gekocht. Null Geschmack. Nicht einmal ein Seafood Gericht konnte als solches ausgemacht werden. Die letzten 2 Tage war das Essen dann annehmbar. Scheinbar wurde der Koch getauscht :)

Beautiful hotel area

Coin the mire was a truly paradise, the hotel area was so nice and there was alot of activities. The food (dinner buffé) was amazing with different dishes every day. We stayed 7 nights and we never got bored over the food, delicious! The staff is so kind and friendly and we really enjoyed our stay.
There is some minus though:
-Location is a bit off and there is not so many things to do in the area. The nearest supermarket is 30 min walk away.
-The bottom of the sea/sunbed is very clayey so dont forget bathing shoes!

Zimmer sauber, angenehm, gesamte Anlage sehr schmal und eng, Restaurants sehr dunkel mit wenig Licht, Personal sehr nett und besorgt. Es stört doch über die Strasse zu gehen um den Strand zu benutzen. Unter dem fest eingebauten Sonnenschirme stehen die Strandliegen, aber nicht nur für die Gäste, die Kajaks dürfen auch unter den Sonnenschirmen stehen, sobald man keine Liege unter dem Schirmen nicht erwischt, werden die Kajaks nicht verschobenen, sondern die Gäste. Das ist die Organisation noch nicht soweit 😂😂😂, sehr schlimm. Aber in grossen und ganzen darf man nicht so viel meckern, das Personal hat doch ausschliesslich wie ein Urlaub dort, nur Unterschiede sind gross, sie werden dafür bezahlt von unsrem Geld.

Schöne Anlage, kleine Mängel bei der Sauberkeit

Insgesamt war das Hotel sehr gut. Die Anlage ist ansprechend gemacht und sauber. Es wird sehr viel lokales Essen angeboten, was ich persönlich sehr gut finde. Es gab jedoch auch immer internationales Essen für jeden Geschmack. Insgesamt war das Essen auch fast immer gut. Unser Zimmer war sehr ansprechend, aber auch nur für Paare (das Bad war nicht abgetrennt). Wir hatten leider Ameisen auf dem Zimmer. Nach mehrmaligem Nachfragen haben wir ein Spray bekommen, das wir regelmäßig anwenden mussten. Das war es allerdings. Außerdem waren die Handtücher für den Pool Mangelware und wurden ab 16:00 nicht mehr aufgefüllt, obwohl der Pool bis 19:30 geöffnet war. Leider waren die wenigen Handtücher, die vorhanden waren öfter auch nicht richtig sauber.

It was a great experience to stay at Coin de Mire! Very helpful people. They would do everything for you. Nothing is too much, that’s how every hotel should be! Also the Hotelmanager, he is verg kind and you will see him a lot. He has also very much time for his guests, it’s very nice to see!

低学年の子供と家族で泊まりました。部屋は少し古い様ですが、充分な広さがありセンスの良いインテリアで、使い勝手の良い作りになっています。ポット・冷蔵庫があります。オープンバスのため、シャワーカーテンやドアはありません。一応部屋とバスルームに仕切りはありますが、高学年以上のお子さんがいる場合にはファミリールームの方がいいかもしれません。朝夕はビュッフェで、メニューは毎日変わります。デザートがピンクや緑でカラフルなのですが、甘さ控え目で美味しいです。バーではハッピーアワーもあり、リーズナブルです。小さな子連れ家族が多かったですが、若いカップルや年配の方も多く、プールなどで子供の行動に気を使いましたが、高級ホテルほどではないので子供がいてもリラックスして楽しめます。歩いて行ける所に小さな商店があり、飲み物やお菓子も購入できます。また、バスで15分くらいの所に街の中心地があります。スタッフも何かと気にかけてくれ、居心地のよいホテルでした。24時レセプション対応なので、子連れには何かと安心です。

Hôtel à taille humaine et rénové
Accueil très chaleureux
Par contre service très moyen : nous avons fait deux commandes au pool bar et les deux fois nous avons’ ete oubliés
La piscine est beaucoup trop petite pour l’hotel Jamais de place de libre
Plage moyenne de l’autre coté de la route
Mais surtout hôtel très bruyant
Route à 50 m de la chambre avec du bruit +++ dès 5h du matin impossible de dormir
De plus le personnel n’est pas respectueux : entretien des espaces verts avec coupe haie électrique à 7h du matin et parfois le personnel qui s’enguele devant les clients

A noter personnel du kids club très sympathique
Nous avons fait part de nos soucis à la réception résultat nous avons reçu 2 tshirts en cadeau au moment du Check out !!!

Hôtel en bord de plage, après avoir traversé la rue.
Espace réservé et aménagé pour les résidents de l'hôtel, avec quelques matériels nautiques à disposition.

Es waren sehr schöne Tage im Hotel. Es gibt fast nur positives zu werten. Aussert die Kellner haben ein paar mal was vergessen zu bringen. Ob Servietten, Besteck oder sogar das trinken. Auch beim zweien Versuch das trinken zu bestellen kam einfach nichts.
Schade, da sonst der Service gut war.
Wir würden beim nächsten Besuch das Hotel wieder berücksichtigen.

Schönes und ruhiges Hotel.

Ein schönes Hotel mit gepflegter Anlage. Eine Strasse trennt den Strand vom Hotel. Zum Abends weggehen ist der Ort nicht optimal. Aber es ist dafür nicht so überlaufen wie z.b. Flic en Flac.

Coin de mire attitude hotel was a great place to stay very good food. Nice rooms with great beds. The outdoor area with pool and garden awesome. Most of the staff did a very good job , some of the staff in the reception little serviceminded
