The motel is undergoing construction and renovation. Loud construction noise continued past 6:00 PM and the bathroom sink would not drain. I have stayed here in the past and it has been a cost effective choice. The timing was bad for this particular visit.

Check in was fine. Room was good... it was comfortable and appeared clean. Parking and quiet sleep were good.
Breakfast was terrible... limited choice of unhealthy food - white bread, muffins, bagels, and sugary cereals. Bagels were old, hard and dry. The toaster was not working properly. It was hard to keep it down and half of the toaster was not toasting. Yogurt was past the expiration date by a month, and was artificially sweetened. There was only one banana. Appeared the orange juice dispenser was not cooling since the OJ was warm. Coffee did not seem fresh. There was no one at the desk, or around, to bring these issues to their attention.

Hotel is being renovated. It was dark, empty, exterior windows were not locked. Previous stays at this location were wonderful. Very courteous, lobby beautifully decorated. A warm friendly environment. Not at all what we found with this stay. Assume the hotel has been sold. Will not stay again. Room was okay.

The hotel is under construction. There was no one at the front desk when issues came up.

There is on single sink with no room to put a travel bag.

There is no towel rack close to the shower … you have to walk across the bathroom to get your towel.

Immaculate! I did not find any “human remains” in the bathroom tub, floor, sink, or bedroom. Beds were comfortable as well as pillows. The hotel is dated and under renovations but I found our rooms bathroom floor tiles, sink, and bathtub looked like they had been updated in the last few years and were fine, and I as I said they were “CLEAN”. We stayed in room 115.

Disappointed in staff at front desk. He handed us a key, but neglected to tell us how to get to our room. Didn’t tell us there was breakfast in the morning. We left at 8:00 am and no one at front desk to get a receipt for our stay. We used to stay at Casco Bay Inn every year when we visited Freeport, but very disappointed this time.

The room condition was good overall, showing some wear in places. The room smelled of mold/mildew. Parking lot is safe and well lit. Check in staff not friendly, morning staff friendlier. Breakfast was good but not great, lots of sugar and carbs. Hard boiled eggs were the only protein offered. Fresh apples, oranges and bananas. Good value for the price.

I contacted them because the hotel we booked through them locked the lobby doors at 11 pm., didn’t answer the night phone posted on the window, and we were unable to get back into the room we paid for until morning. The hotel was Casco Bay Inn in Maine, just fyi and we froze in the car because there were no other rooms available in the area. Hotel.com offered no refund or credits and I will never use them again. Who locks lobby doors at 11? We were on vacation and they ruined it

Casco Bay Inn was a great place to stay for coming to Freeport for a short stay and close to many nearby attractions. The rates were the most affordable compared to other hotels in the area and the rooms were clean and well kept. Additionally the staff were very accommodating as to our late arrival. I highly recommend and will be booking here in the future!

I had a beautiful stay for the duration I was there. There was no cause for concern, the property exceeded my expectation. One thing I was recommended is home cooked breakfast with varieties. Not just and cupcakes. The coffee is great tho, for a $121 per day. Otherwise safety wasn’t any issue, transportation not really good. Uber everyday to and fro, make the trip more costly. I like the hotel.

Some construction inside and outside but our first floor room was comfortable, well lit, excellent bed, soft not crisp sheets. Desk, chair, padded sitting chair. Easy parking. Pillows comfortable but are standard size rather than queen/ king. Heat and thermostat work perfectly. Good breakfast offerings. Definitely will return and stay again, especially for the discounted total cost of 127.

The only real issue was the sound carrying from the hall and the room next to me. Our room had a door that connected to another room. Not our request but it just happened that way. I was able to hear the person clearing their throat and moving around early in the morning. I did not expect to be able to hear such soft noises between walls. Our neighbor was quiet but if they were noisier it would have made for a restless stay.
The property is under renovation but the work area is tidy and did not interfere with our stay. Parking was convenient and just steps from our room. Staff was very pleasant and we were able to check in early to get our key. We had an engagement at the normal check in time and would be late getting back so this helped us to be able to drop luggage off and go.
The price was reasonable and we appreciated the option of canceling, if we needed to, so close to our reservation date.

The hotel was fine. There was a clean bed to sleep in. Overall it wasn’t very clean or well decorated or modern. The bathroom was pretty dirty due to mildew and condensation spots. Definitely slowly being renovated. I felt we got what we paid for. I probably wouldn’t stay again and would pay for a nicer hotel next time.

Room was very small, bathroom even smaller. Shower had a foldable half-door so you had to be careful or you would get floor and toilet wet. Our room (163) waslocated next to a hallway door that squeaked loudly everytime someone opened. Suggested they oil the hinges.
Plus side - Staff was very pleasant. Room was very clean. On site restaurants were good.

This hotel is very dated, with fixtures from the 1990s. The bathroom walls had streaks on them near the toilet area. The carpets smelled. The exterior of the windows had not been cleaned since the winter dirt and dust accumulated - you could barely see out of them, especially at night, then - breakfast. Coffee was not drinkable, there were English muffins, bagels, toast, three kinds of sugary cereal and some bananas, apples and clementines. We were charged per person, at a rate almost double the weekly rate because it was a weekend, then the check in employee had me sign a copy of the bill - the hotels.com fees were almost 100.00 for two nights, on top of the rates paid to the hotel. Never again.

The hotel is currently undergoing rennovation, but that was not a problem. The lobby, breakfast area, and room were super clean (much cleaner than any higher end property where I've stayed), and quiet.

The front desk is often unattended, but that is understandable given the time of year (school starting), and the impact from US tarrifs killing the Canadian tourism sector.

Finally, the breakfast offering is rather limited, but they do utilize all of the space that they have for that so it was not an issue.

All in all I would highly recommend this property.

Nice place to stay.

This was a short visit. reasonably pricednfor an overnight stay. The room was clean and comfortable. Hotel was quiet even though our room was near the stairs . The only dissapointment was there was a King sized bed with 4 small pillows definitly needed bigger pillows. The place was conviently located to the Portland area and the Freeport shopping area and plenty of restaurants in the area. I would stay here again.

If you’re looking for a super clean, up to date, comfy room, look elsewhere. We were in a room that was in serious need of a deep cleaning and a remodel. The bed was comfortable, but otherwise, this wasn’t a great stay. There was no place to sit in the room or in the hotel to just relax or read a book even—the lobby was only open for morning check ins and breakfast. Otherwise, you have to call and the (onsite?) person will help.
